*Thank you for the responseHowever, you have some of the most significant details incorrect! Mainly in that I never used the reservationI didn’t check in or even visitWhat happened was that once I saw what your system had booked for me, I immediately spoke to one of your chat representatives to make it clear that this hotel was NOT acceptable because of three primary reasons: First, it was consistently reviewed as being unsanitary (dirty), not only on Priceline’s own site, but by most other reviews on different sites as wellSecond, your commercials indicate that you will provide a “Brand Name” hotel, and to me that means a name I would at least recognize, or possibly a chainLastly, although star ratings can certainly be subjective, NO REVIEW ANYWHERE agrees that this is a three star hotel. Please realize that I have been a Priceline customer for MANY YEARS, and booked with your site multiple timesI voiced my objection INSTANTLY with your chat representative, and indicated that I would be happy to take a credit for use in a different hotel if a refund was not an optionThe representative responded with some canned responses that I would expect to see if I were being scammed, but this is not what I have come to expect from Priceline. Since I never visited, checked in, nor stayed at the hotel, I disputed the charge on my credit cardBecause of your representatives complete mistreatment, I used another reservation service and booked a different hotel for the dates in questionAt this point, Priceline has basically just taken my money and provided NO SERVICEWith pretty much any reputable business, if you collect a fee, and either don’t provide a product or service, or if that service is sub-par and deemed unacceptable, the customer is entitled to the money back, especially if the service is not accepted and/or not usedWhich in this case, it was not. You still have a chance to make this right by means of a refundIt’s a small price to pay to keep a customer

I am rejecting this response because: This is a common business practice in *** I really did not expect a (real) resolution to this problemThis is what I have learned, is a "bait and switch" situationIt is like credit scoresWhen I bought my last vehicle, my credit score was 720, according to the credit servicesWhile my financial situation was evaluated for my vehicle purchase, I was told my credit score was I asked how this was possible because I had copies of my credit scores from the credit bureausThey finally told me that the vehicle AND housing markets use a different method to determine your credit scoresIn other words, they make it impossible for an individual to get a better interest rate because the credit score THEY will determine will always be lower than what the big credit bureaus say your score isMore money will be made"The *** way of doing business""Bait and switch"Make a person feel they are getting a good deal, then hit them with something else worse. The travel industry is doing the same thingTell people they can rent a car for $a day, but never tell you how to do itYou spend an hour on the computer, trying different dates and you NEVER come close to the $Hotel industry is the same wayIt is the *** way of doing businessI spend a fair amount of time on my computer researching the deals offered in the emails I receiveI have NEVER found any instance when the deals were true. I am rejecting this response because: I find it hard to comprehend that I need to repeat myself so many times to be heard speaking with your company You and your staff keep responding only to one half of my feedback (about the price guarantee) while not taking responsibility for Priceline's blatant advertising of the *** *** as a 3-star hotel, which is a meaningfully higher class hotel than it is You neglect to recognize that (a) I never would have selected this hotel if it was ranked or star (appropriate and consistent with other large travel company ratings like *** and ***r) and (b) how I feel it would be unfair for you to not change the class description on your site to be at parity with the lower class it is and what other internet travel giants acknowledge and (c) that I think it would be unfair to leave this hotel ranked 3-stars, which is deceptive to your future customers like myself who don't want to pay more for a lower class hotel or even stay in a lower class one in general I would request you re-read my prior messages more carefully paying attention not just to the comments about the pricing guarantee and respond again
