Review: On 06/16/2014 [redacted] contacted me about consolidating my student loans. I agreed, but had a change of heart. I cancelled my service. He called me back and I again decided to use the service. I then had another change of heart after not hearing from the company or getting any emails that would allow me on their website to check my account. I called each day to find out why and was told it was processing and I would get a username and password. On the 4th day, 06/19/2014, I called again and cancelled. I talked to [redacted] and was told everything was cancelled. I called back and talked to [redacted] (Twice) to make sure everything was cancelled. I was told it was all cancelled and I would not be charged. I woke up this morning to 200 dollars being withdrawn from my checking account. I went to the back and disputed my charges. I have a letter that shows I was cancelled. I called a part of their company, National Secure Processing, and was told I would not get a refund because they worked on my file and I did not cancel 14 days before my bank draft was due to come out. My bank draft was dated the same day that [redacted] called me, so I could not have called 14 days prior to it coming out. I tried to explain this. They didn't want to listen. I just want my money back. I do not want to pay for a service that is essentially free. I don't understand how I can have a letter in hand that shows my account is cancelled, but it isn't cancelled. I also don't understand employees who tell me things are cancelled and even go so far as to email me a cancellation letter (though I had to have them change the email address because I never got the first email they sent me), and that cancellation letter mean nothing. This company may help some people, but it did nothing for me except made me 200 dollars poorer and a lot unhappy.Desired Settlement: I want my money back. I already disputed the charge with the bank, but [redacted] says that doesn't matter because they have my signature. I have their letter showing it cancelled, so who is right? I believe I am as I am the consumer.

Response:
On 06/16/2014 Mrs [redacted] signed up for our services. As stated she had a change of heart of and sent an email to cancel the service. Her Loan Manager was made of aware of this request and called Mrs [redacted] to speak with her. At the end of the conversation with her Loan Manager Mrs [redacted] stated that she would like to continue with the service. This conversation took place on the date of her initial payment. We began to work on her file immediately. We then received a call from Mrs [redacted] two days later stating that she had cancelled her account. She was informed that we had not received a cancellation after her conversation with her Loan Manager in which she decided to continue with our service. She then sent us an email that she claims showed correspondence of her cancellation email, however the times stamp on the email seemed to be altered. She was informed that per company policy we would cancel her account but no refund would be made for her initial payment. Company policy states that we will issue a refund of initial payment if cancellation is made in writing/email and no work has been conducted on the client file. In Mrs [redacted]'s case we had already began working on her file so no refund will be made available. However we have cancelled Mrs [redacted]'s account.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I reject this response because I did not alter a date on any email. I forwarded an email sent to me from another account to this company to show them what I was talking about. I was given no time to cancel. I was pushed. I was lied to. I was treated very badly. I won't accept this and I want other people to know that this company is not one to work with and to stay as far away as possible. They are charging you for something you can do yourself on the Department of Education website. They also don't tell you the whole truth, just push their sales pitch.

Review: I was told that if I proceeded with SLS Mangers for student loan forgiveness that in 10 years (because I'm in the health field) my student loans would be forgiven. If I signed up with them, they would charge me $194.81 per month(a certain amount going to their fees, the rest to my loans) that would be reconsidered yearly on actual amount depending on pay. They essentially took over my entire acount and changed all the information to their own. However, they also told me that my FedLoan amount would be paid off by them and I'd have a ZERO balance. I was told that my balance was made zero and to continue my payments to them for the remainder of the time period. I was also told that I'd receive a full refund (except the service fees up until that point) if I chose to pull out of the program. Now coming upon a year I've contacted FedLoan and talked with someone from the Department of Education and they explained to me that my account hasn't had a payment made since MY last payment in September of 2014. With the realization of that I asked to remove myself from their services but they are keeping part of my refund to suppliment their "services" from now until next October. I feel this is unfair considering they haven't kept a single promise of thiers. Everything they told me they would do--they didn't. The paperwork I signed is not clear cut and I've received no paper work since. I've also tried multiple times to contact them with no response. I work very hard and don't deserve this.Desired Settlement: I want to receive all the money I put into my account with them. They can keep their "service fees" but I don't believe they should continue to receive a fee after I've canceled with them. I should get my FULL refund back.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. Before I accept these terms, I'd like to know that with this cancelation they are refunding me all my money and not charging me for another year's worth of service. If they're willing to do that, then I accept the terms. I'm just concerned with their response because it did not include anything about returning my money to me.
Thanks,

Review: My name is [redacted] and on June 27th, 2014 I was contacted by a loan officer by the name of [redacted] from SLS mangers about consolidation and loan forgiveness of student loans\debit. [redacted] explained how SLS managers could help and the programs they offer. At the time, I thought it would be a good idea for me to participate because I am always looking for a way to pay off my student debit faster/ or in the easiest possible way. However, after signing the contract while on the phone with [redacted], I got a chance to thoroughly read through the contract to only find out that this company is not helping me do anything that I haven't already been doing myself, as well as, my monthly student loan payments would increase for the next 20 years. I tried contacted my loan officer numerous times to explain my hesitation, but to only be given the run away by other loan officers, [redacted] never return any of my calls or emails. Therefore, I would like to opt out of this program and working with SLS mangers. I am schedule to have my first payment to go through July 31st; I was told by [redacted] that there would be a stop payment placed on my account. However, on July 21st an amount of 200 was electronically withdrawled from my account after I was told payment would be terminated. I feel as through this is a fraudently company whom is taking advantage of recently graudated college students.Desired Settlement: I would like companies like this not to be on a trusted website as the Better Buisness bureau. This company is fraduent; and unprofessional!

Review: I filed for student loan consolidation with Student Loan Services and cannot get into contact with my original loan officer "[redacted]". Then I was referred to speak with "[redacted]" who called me back once in regards to an unauthorized payment withdrawal. Now that I would like to recieve more information, specifically the supposed "Welcome Package" that contains the company's info and information for creating an online login to access my loan payments and scheduled payments, I cannot get passed the automated voice when calling their Customer Service number "###-###-####". I have emailed the people who send me my invoices but they refer me back to this "###-###-####" number. I do not even know the name of the loan holder for my loans now, I cannot access my previous loan websites as they changed all my info (obviously, I had to sign an authorization form for this but I thought this was a legit company!) and I am afraid this is a SCAM! They have all my loan and bank account information and I am afraid they are doing identity theft as I type this complaint! They have the Revdex.com sign up in thier website but there is no one to help me! Revdex.com, PLEASE HELP!!!!Desired Settlement: Do what you said you were going to do: consolidate my loans and give me the information as promised so I can keep track of my loans. AND don't appear so shady! Answer the phones when people call don't forward me around then hang up on me over and over again! Otherwise, give me my damn money back and I will take my services elsewhere.

Ms. [redacted]’s student loan consolidation is in the completion stage. SLS Managers also waived Ms. [redacted]’s July payment .
I am so thankful for SLS Managers! I was so stressed out about paying my student loans and I felt like the balance was never going down. Bree from Sls called me and put me in an affordable program and I felt like she really cared. If it wasn't for SLS I would be paying my loans for the rest of my life! Thank you SLS!!
Review: SLS managers Representative [redacted] contacted me in March 2014, he reviewed my Current Student Loans with me and went over my income and expenses and explained that I was eligible for a 10 years repayment plan and after 10 years of repayment the Remaining balance of my Loans would be forgiven after me completing the 10 years of consecutive payments.
SLS started withdrawing payments on 4/22/2014 (initial payment of $258, then 277.61 on 5/23/2017, then 302.66 on 7/15/2014, then 277.66 on 7/23/2014, then 277.66 on 8/22/2014 and then 277.66. totaling $1948.96. They did not make a single payment on my student loans, but instead they put them in a payment plan that requires Zero dollar payments for towards my student loans. Then without disclosing to me, they changed Address, Email, Phone contact methods for my current loan servicer, my profile on Student Loans.gov,
SLS changed me into a payment plan that I am required to make a Zero dollar payment through Nov 2015, instead of making the payment directly on my federal government student loans as agreed upon. I was notified of this through credit Monitoring when my Total Debt on Student Loans went from$46,963 to $48,604 because of the total interest that had been accruing because they changed the plan to Zero Dollar payments and pocketing the money I was paying them to the sum of $1948.96
I have reached out via email and tried left voicemails and have yet to have anyone respond to me.Desired Settlement: The only actions I want taken is to have my full amount of $1948.96 refunded immediately, and for SLS Managers to Seize all contact with my lenders and banking institution and close out my account with them effective today 12/9/2014

Review: I was contacted by Student Loan Servicing Managers after clicking on an online advertisement claiming to reduce student loan debt. SLS contacted me stating that they could reduce my student loan debt and that I was eligible for $4000 loan forgiveness based on the fact that I work in the healthcare field. I spoke with a "loan manager" [redacted] who walked me through an online application process and had me sign the documents via email -- pushing me through the process without explaining what I was signing (my mistake). I did give her some of my personal information in order to access my student loan information without really knowing that I shouldn't -- she asked for some information I found later to be information that no student loan company asks for (ie: the PIN for my federal student loans). She then indicated that I would need to pay a small fee ($200) and that fee would be deducted from my bank account prior to a lower student loan payment. She also indicated that I would receive a welcome package in the mail with all the documents I had electronically signed and more information about my program. The money was never deducted from my account, I never receieved the documents and the contact information I was given for this company always rang and gave me a message that the number was unavailable and I have been unable to reach them. Additionally when I contacted my student loan agency (Nelnet), I found that SLS had changed all of my contact information by logging into this online account for this agency -- which also has my personal information (bank accounts, SSN, Drivers License number, income information etc). Additionally, NelNet indicated that they had not made any payments to the account (as they promised when they took my information), that the account was past due and that this was likely a fraudulent company as they have never seen any student loan forgiveness agencies log into this account or change personal information -- nor did they make any paymentsDesired Settlement: I would like my account completely closed with SLS and copies of all documents that required my signature to start their service.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I disagree- the terms and agreements were not clear by any means, not did I ever receive the welcome package. When trying to reach the business via the number they contacted me from multiple times I was unable to reach anyone. I never received any communication from this business after the initial contact, nor did they do what they stated they would do. My student loans went into default because they didn't pay as they had indicated they would- not did my student loan agency ever recieve the "$4000 student loan forgiveness" this company promised me. Additionally, this company logged into my loan account and changed my contact information without my permission-- essentially leaving me unable to access the account. None of which I consented to, nor is it good business. I would like my contract revoked and all copies of my documents returned to me immediately.
Regards,
I would never recommend this company. I have asked politely six times, annoyed 3 times, and once very angrily (that's ten requests in case you lost count) to be placed on their Do Not Call list. It has been over two months since they started calling and they have not honored a single request. I am looking to gather people to start a class-action harassment lawsuit against them.

Review: I filed a complaint back in December about sls managers. I found out how they keep money for themselves. Today I get a call from National Secure Processing saying my payment didn't go through and I owe then an extrate $25.00 every time. I wasn't told this when I signed up. SLS was supposed to get back to me on cancelling my contract but nenever did. I refuse to pay after not getting a phone call the first time.Desired Settlement: Either a refund of what I pay them or for them to cancel my contract without penalty due to the failure of concern last time.

Review: I received a call from sls managers about a student loan consolidation. After researching them it became clear that their business practices were less than legal or ethical. Once they became aware that I would not consolidate my student loans with them they began fraudulent a activity in all my student loan accounts, as well as hacking my Facebook account. They changed my contact information with Sallie Mae and Fed loans repeatedly as well as changing my fed PIN and Fed PIN contact information. When on the phone with a man calling himself [redacted] from sls managers.com he asked me for my fed PIN (at the time I didn't realize the implications of this, VERY ILLEGAL). But I also did not remember it. He says ok, what city were you born in? I answer, not k owing this is my security question to access my Fed PIN. He then tells me my Fed PIN, which he had hacked my account to retrieve. A police report is filled and this is my second time filling with Revdex.com. I accidentally filed on wrong sls last time.Desired Settlement: To stop using my identity, to stop hacking my accounts, and to leave me alone.

Good that they will now leave me alone. But as for resolution, not even close! Not with the stress, footwork, and time said into getting them to back off! Criminal activity is not that easily forgiven!! Thank God they never touched a dime of my money. All student loan holders beware!!! I have documentation and photo proof that these people are a HUGE SCAM!!!

Review: I signed up for student loan consolidation services because they passed all my "red flag" tests. After doing more research I decided not to use their service. I called back and talked to a representative. I left a message for my account manager, which was never returned. I called my account manager on the direct line he gave me and the voice mail I got was that of a cell phone with no company or person name. I left a message to cancel my account. I also replied to the e-mail with my customer agreement attached to cancel the account. In addition, I followed the directions in the agreement to send a letter requesting cancellation 10 days before the first withdrawal to begin my contract . Money was still taken out of my account. When I called to talk to them about this I received a message saying the wait time was 15 seconds, for FIVE MINUTES!!!!! After 5 minutes it hangs up on you. I tried hitting each of the number options, which also got me no one. In addition I have been receiving e-mails and phone calls constantly about loans and going back to school.Desired Settlement: I want the $200 refunded to my account, no other withdrawals, a stop to the endless e-mails and phone calls and I want this company to be shut down. They are frauds!

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID[redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
The company never left a message on the dates they claim they tried to contact me. Funds were withdrawn, and the company has issued a refund, proving that funds were withdrawn. This complaint has recently been settled, with the receipt of the refund check. It took me calling Student Loan Service Managers multiple times, this Revdex.com complaint, calling National Processing Services, and the company that processed the payment in order for me to finally receive the refund.
Review: This company continues to call my sister and I. The call is a recording that lacks all professionalism. The recording does not specify what the company is or give you options to talk with someone. In order to reach a person you have to call back the number that called you. Only 25% of the time are you able to actually get through to an individual. I have asked repeatedly to be taken off the list and placed on the "Do Not Call" list. The operator, when you are able to reach them, assured me that I was off the list but then the next day they call again. I am not interested in the "service" this company offers and am through with being harassed on a daily basis. If this continues to happen, I will seek legal advice.Desired Settlement: I would like SLS Managers to stop calling me.

Review: Since August 11, 2014, I have received 6 calls from them by automated message. I called on 8/21/2014 to have them put me on a Do Not Call list, but I received two more calls, once on 8/25/2014 and another today, 8/26/2014. I called them again today and spoke with the General Manager and he claims to have put me on a Do Not Call list, however he warned that I could still get phone calls from their number because they use VoIP (Voice over IP) and someone else may have the same IP Address. While unlikely, he was basically making excuses as to why his company would still call, regardless of my complaint.Desired Settlement: I do not want any more phone calls from this company and I want it to stop immediately.

Regards,
Review: I signed up to be with SLS Managers in Oct. They called my mother and told her they will help her consolidate her student loan debt and she passed the information to me. I called about lowering my rate and recieving student loan forgiveness. These are the things they said they would help me resolve. Everything seemed perfect, but 5 months later the money they withdraw from my account have not went towards my actually federal student loan. They are extremely hard to catch, their number of contact is disconnected so you have to play phone tag with other numbers to reach whom you are seeking. My tax papers went to SLS Managers rather than to my house, they have access to my navient account and have changed my user ID and password so I couldn't access my account at one moment in time. I emailed my consultant and it took them a month to contact me back, I don't feel secure with this company at all. I do not believe that they should have complete access to my personal navient account or take money directly out of my account. I am a rational and responsible adult and other companies give you the choice to pay directly or have them withdraw the dollar amount. You don't have a choice with SLS Managers, it is a one size fit all, they take your money and don't keep you abreast to what is actually going on.Desired Settlement: I would greatly appreciate a refund for my payments that were suppose to go directly towards my loan. The money that they withdrew from my account will go directly towards my loan, which was their duties, but they did not do as expected.

Review: On 6/10/2014 I signed up for what I was told was going to be student loan forgiveness or lower payments with lower interest rate. The further along in the application process you get the less they can do for you. After signing everything I find out that they truly aren't helping me at all. I am to end up paying a lower payment at the same interest rate costing me more in the long run by paying less toward the principal and the same interest. After finding this out I call to cancel my agreement with them. After talking with [redacted] she tells me to send an email with my request for cancellation and that my payment of $183.00 taken out on 6/28/2014 is non-refundable. I'm not happy with this but ok I chalk it up to my stupidity for signing up. On 7/28/2014 they take out $113.88 out of my bank account. I call them to dispute as they were to cancel my agreement and I'm told I filed to late. Ok so I ask why has my debt to ACS education not been paid then? The application form states that they have 30-60 days to complete payment to my lender. Ok, so I wait. 8/28/2014 they take out another $113.88 and ACS still isn't paid so I call again this time talking to [redacted]'s supervisor and I'm told give us another 2 weeks and ACS will be paid and to stop paying ACS. (I don't stop paying ACS as I will not fall behind on payments and nothing that SLSmangers has told me has been the truth) So I wait 3 weeks and still no payment and I called and left a message to return my call. 9/28/2014 another $113.88 is drafted from my account. It is now 10/2/2014 they have not returned my call and there is still no payoff to ACS. I have a family and cannot continue to pay both ACS and SLSmanagers.Desired Settlement: I want full reimbursement of all payments totaling $524.64 as the agreement is now void as SLSmanagers has not honored the agreement. I have all paperwork validating that what I say is true. This will be my last time trying to get this resolved before seeking legal action.

I have received no response from SLSManagers or NSProcessing and I have tried every number that was made available to me to contact them and have not been able to reach anyone. This company still has not honored their agreement as as of 10/20/2014 at 6:09pm ACS education account still says that I owe $17,646.44. Tell me how a company that is supposed to pay off my loan for lower payments hasn't done so and has honored any part of their agreement. The only part of the agreement this company has honored is they are taking $113.00 out of my bank account every month and I'm still paying ACSeduction as it still has not been paid off. The 30 to 60 days is over. Stop taking my from me and my family for nothing you have done and give it back! I welcome any response from SLSManagers or NSProcessing (both the same company as I have phone numbers that ring to SLS and then transfers to NSprocessing. This is getting old and its wrong...

I just want to thank you so much for taking the time to assist me and helping to find a manageable solution that suits my financial needs. Since day one, you have shown nothing but the utmost professionalism and superior customer service. And for that, I am truly grateful and thankful. Please feel free to share this email with your supervisor. I would like for him or her to know what an outstanding customer representative you are! If there is a need for your supervisor to contact me, that would be fine. I don't want to take up too much of your time, but I just had to express my gratitude. Have a bless day and continue the great work. You are appreciated!
Review: I was contacted about reducing my student loan debt from this company. I had just finished grad school and had started a job but I wasn't making enough to cover the loan and cost of living.
I was told that because I work at a University, after 10 years my debt would be wipe clean for working in the public sector. I was also told my payments monthly were based on my salary so if it never went up, my payments would never go up. I was also told that there would be no fees associated. It turns out that ALL of this was false.
None of the money I have been paying has been going to my loan and every time I try to get a balance inquiry I get zero response or hung up on. All of the money I have paid has gone directly to this company.
I was told I could not cancel my contract with them because it would ruin my credit score but nothing they said was true. So now I am out all of this money and ZERO of it went towards my loans as promised.
There is no way this is legal. I was lied to every step of the way and taken advantage of. They prey on newly graduated college students who are looking for jobs/housing and need time to delay their loans but none of the money actually goes towards their principle.Desired Settlement: I want to cancel my contract immediately and be compensated for the bogus fees I have been charged. I will work with the Department of Education DIRECTLY to inquire about my options for payment plans and not thieving scam artists companies like these.
