The Sinemia app isn't working and the customer service department is either non responsive or doesn't exist. I paid for services that aren't happening
Sinemia is an app that is a movie ticket subscription service. The app hasn't been working for nearly a month. They have no phone customer service. I sent a message to their online customer service on 4/5 and have not received a response. I prepaid for a year of the subscription- 3 movies a month as a part of the service, but I haven't been able to see a movie using the subscription I paid for. I paid for a service that they are not rendering and there is no way to contact them and demand a response, or a refund.

Desired Outcome

I want the business to fulfill their obligation to the customer, or refund for the services they'd promised but were unable to provide.

THE FIRST DAY I GOT THE PRODUCT, THE APP WASN'T WORKING AND HARD TO CONFIGURE. I TRIED TO GET A REFUND THEY REFUSED. I WORKED WITH IT. Complete scam - unable to use service and when asked for a refund for a gift I purchased, my request was ignored
I purchased a membership for my mom for one year and pre-paid for it on 12/26. After trying for nearly three months without being able to see a single movie or have the card/service activate properly - I requested a full refund. She never used the service once, and had to go back and forth with customer service, without an outcome several times. Additionally, I shared the additional detail with customer service when I asked to cancel and get a full refund that my mom has early stage cancer. In order to expedite the refund they asked for her medical records to prove this - I think that alone is shocking - but agreed - and asked several times what type of information they needed - all of those requests were ignored. I find it beyond disappointing, shocking and quite frankly fraudulent that this company continues to operate and try to do business under false pretense. I would like a refund for my purchase as the service I bought is not in line with what was promised. I would like to walk away from this awful experience as soon as possible.

Complete refund for my purchase on 12/26, as my mom (who I purchased the service for) was unable use it a single time. I think that is only fair, I'd like a refund and I'd like to walk away from this horrendous experience.

Service doesn't work, Business will not respond to my attempts to contact them.
I paid $180 for Sinemia Unlimited for a year. I used it a handful of times and now the app only says "error" when I try to use it to reserve a ticket to buy at the box office. I have tried to contact the company through the website, email, and Twitter. They have not responded to me through any of these mediums.

Unable to use Sinemia app to purchase movie tickets since last upgrade
I purchased a 2-movie/month annual subscription to Sinemia on August 11, 2018 for $95.88, and my husband purchased a 1-movie/month annual subscription for $47.88. We initially had no issues with using the online advance purchase option and were very happy with the service we received from Sinemia. However, since updating my Sinemia app in February 2019 I have been unable to use the application to purchase a movie ticket due to a "bug" that causes the movie selection screen to continually load and reload. I have contacted Sinemia multiple times about this issue but have not heard back. Concurrently, our credit card has also been incorrectly charged a "monthly" fee of $3.99 since August when we initially signed up for the yearly membership, along with a one-time monthly charge of $23.98 which is clearly an error since we had already paid for the full year. I have contacted Sinemia multiple times about these incorrect charges, but have not received a reply. At this point neither of us are able to use the service we purchased and would like a refund for the yearly subscriptions, along with the $43.83 for the various monthly fees. All of these charges were made with my Chase Sapphire Reserve card.

my subscription started 1/25/19 I purchased 3 movie ticket per month for 2 on an annual subscription paid in advance. I believe the cost was 8.98 per person per month so total of $215.76 in addition, I had to pay an activation fee. I have contacted Sinemia since the onset of my subscription requesting a refund since they were requiring a scanned copy of my government ID next to my fact to allow for facial confirmation of the ID- I'm sure you can see why I had an issue with this. I was told I could not get a refund since the contract stated non-refundable. the ID verification process was not in the contract so I asked why I had to abide by the contract and the did not. the app did not ask for my ID verification and I was able to purchase tickets twice since my subscription started. since then everytime I tried to purchase tickets I receive an error message - saying unknown error has occurred please try again later. I have tried everyday for the past 3 weeks and have sent an email April 9th, 13th and 15th advising them of the issue with my account. the only response I received was auto reply stating my email was received. I have read reviews online (unfortunately after my purchase of he subscription) where 100's of people experiencing same issue. stating company is a scam and extremely poor customer service. they have not provide the service promised that I paid for and I would like my subscription cancelled and a refund issued.

If they are unable to provide the service I paid for I am requesting a full refund. I requested a refund and was told the contract stated no refunds. However, they are not providing the advertised service.

After being charged for a year of services,the business keeps changing the parameters. You msut check in at movie, you must now send federal picture.
Started Decemember 15th. They charged my credit card and do not activate the membership for an entire month, so there is no way to get a refund before the month expires. I received one movie ticket. Then they started charging 2.50 per ticket. Then they stated you need to checkin at the movies or be charged 17.50. Then I was told I had to send a passport or driver's license photo. All of this should have been required before they activated and charged my credit card. They do not allow refunds but continue to change the terms whenever they feel like it. The customer service is awful and you will see thousands of complaints online. They are taking our money and not providing the tickets. I have never had any fraud on my account and no problems until now all the fees and they deactivated my account because they want a passport photo so I have not used the service since January but they charged me for an entire year. This company is a scam.

I would like a refund for the amount of the service that I have not used. I have reached out to them at least 5 times with the issue to no avail. They keep saying no refunds but they continue to add more hoops to jump through to actually use the service. February 22, 2019.

Since Jan 2019, there has been an ongoing issue with the app as it has error messages preventing me from booking my tickets. My wife has updated the app, deleted and reinstalled the app, updated the phone OS and even restarted her phone but the Sinemia app is still not working. As a desperate attempt, I started getting in touch with Sinemia regarding the errors but all they could tell me is that the app developers are working on the issue and there is no ETA on when it will be resolved. We did not expect this difficult journey with Sinemia until we faced these problems and after reading various news reports online we are now definitely confirmed that this app is a scam and sadly we have fallen victims to it. We demanded a refund of our membership from Sinemia but unfortunately they won't give us a refund as they say Sinemia is a non-refundable service.
We are unable to book movies from the app but at the same our membership fees are non-refundable which unfortunately is quite distressing as we paid for the whole year worth of movies but unable to use it due to app errors from Sinemia. I
We kindly urge you to please look into this matter for us and help us get our membership fees refunded from Sinemia as they have violated our consumer rights by giving us a defective app to deal with. We are clearly victims of the Sinemia scam and urge your valued assistance in this matter.

We would like your assistance in getting a refund of our annual membership from Sinemia who has charged us an annual membership fee of $95.88 ($7.99 X 12) in return for 2 movie tickets every month.They have violated this agreement by giving us an error filled app which has prevented us from booking movie tickets since Jan 2019.This has been an ongoing issue and despite your assurances that my problem has been solved, I am still getting the error message preventing me from booking my tickets. I attempted to cancel my Sinemia membership through in the instructed manner and have requested via email to have my account canceled with no action.
On April 2nd I attempted to cancel my Sinemia account due to notification through the app that they were requiring a new Id verification process with which I was not comfortable completing. The app directed me to the website which would not allow me to proceed with any account changes without completing the verification process which included photographing my government issued Id. I proceeded to email Sinemia and received and automated response promising follow up which I did not receive. On April 4th I sent the following email:

"To Whom It May Concern:

I have not received a response to my request for immediate cancellation of my membership agreement with Sinemia and I am requesting to cancel my membership immediately. Sinemia does not have my authorization to continue to charge me for any services.

If I have not received communication directly from an employee of Sinemia by email or phone by 5 pm EST Friday, April 5th, 2019 with a confirmation that my account has been cancelled or I have not received explicit instructions leading to my personally being successful in cancelling my membership, both options without the need to provide to Sinemia any additional personal information including a photograph of my driver's license I will report Sinemia to the Revdex.com for unlawful membership practices.

I am not comfortable with Sinemia having the requested information on file for me and wish to cancel my membership effective immediately. I will not continue use of Sinemia and have not utilized Sinemia's services in a period greater than 90 days.

I still have received no response and I would like my relationship with this company discontinued as soon as possible. I have not been able to locate any telephone contact information. I was alerted on the website that my account was also not available for use as per the terms of my subscription agreement due to lack of verification and yet Sinemia has continued to charge my account on a monthly basis in the amount of $9.99 charged directly to my Master Card. I have also not been able to locate any way of removing my payment method from my account to prevent additional charges. Please help.

Lack of customer service will not fix/correct product
For over 2 months I have not been able to purchase online tickets from the app that is designed to allow you to buy movie tickets online. I have sent multiple requests with videos showing them exactly what is wrong and they have still yet to fix it. This is a complete failure to provide the service that they advertise and the only time I get a response is when I threaten a full refund. The message usually says "We are working to fix the problem" All around lies.

Desired Outcome

Repair your app. Give your customers the service that you promised them in your contract with them. Actually give your customers the attention and service that they deserve since we have plenty of options to choose from when it comes to this type of service.

Business began charging fees not in the original contract, now they will not cancel a renewal that was made in error.
My annual renewal came through on 3/11 I immediately contacted the company to cancel the annual membership as I was no longer willing to pay "extra fees that they began to add mid-year last year. I have not used this service and they are now unwilling to refund the payment of $323.88. I filed a charge back with the credit card company and they declined to reverse the charges. Because of fees added to the account erroneously I am unable to use the membership and do not want to as I have gone with a different subscription service that does not add fees without notice.

I cannot purchase movie tickets through app and am not getting a response to complaints sent to company
I purchased a Sinemia movie pass. For the last month I've tried to use the app to pre-purchase my allotted movie tickets. The app will not allow me to get my tickets. I get a loading screen every time I select my movie. I've contacted Sinemia but they have not responded. They required us to send them a picture of our driver's licenses and a picture of ourselves holding our dirver's Licenses. It's creepy that they have that much information on me but can't help me solve this issue. I'm not the only person reporting this problem. My husband reported the same issue with his Sinemia account and then had his account deactivated for fraudulent use. The company is striking out at anyone who complains about them or asks for refunds when their accounts stop working.

My husband purchased each of us a yearly service for Sinemia and neither of our applications have worked properly from the beginning.

In order to use Sinemia's service, the customer must "check in" at the theater when seeing a movie or be penalized an additional fee. We couldn't connect to their server in order to complete the check in (I have screen shots of attempts) and we were subsequently penalized. I wrote to them and received a generic email that stated we wouldn't be charged a fee. Each of our accounts remained frozen. My husband paid the fee to see if he could regain use of the app and he has not.

All of our emails have been ignored by Sinemia, with the exception of one labeled "small claims court" in the subject line. I, again, explained our issues and requested a refund. Their response was to "tell them what the issue was" I forwarded my email and haven't heard back from them since. My husband also has had no response to his many emails.

There is one email address and no other way to contact them. In addition to this, they started making requirements in order to use the app- uploading driver license picture to "verify" identity. We jumped through all the hoops and are still left with nothing.

It seems the company wants to make customers so frustrated with the platform and lack of support, that they simply go away. Thus, Sinemia gets to keep the subscription money without providing a service... We are left feeling duped and taken advantage of. It's criminal.

Sinemia keeps changing the rules and provides terrible customer service.
I purchased a one-year family membership (two tickets one day per month) in August 2018 with price of $95.88. When I joined, I checked the terms and conditions of the service and found that there was no mention about the processing fee or the requirements to use my real name. The new fee, which is processing fee, was introduced sneakily and suddenly on October 2018. And as such a new customer who paid for a whole year service in advance but just used it for just one time or two, I felt that I was forced to accept this new rule in order to continue using the service and not waste the money I spent. I contacted the customer service regarding this processing fee, but no response was received until today. Then since last month, Sinemia introduced a new rule to its existing customers, which requires us to verify our ID. I didn't use my real name to register at first, which I was not expected to according to the T&C at that time. And I don't feel safe enough to provide my ID and a picture of myself holding my ID to a company like Sinemia with such terrible customer service and bad business reputation (as we can easily see via tons of complaints about this company online but lots of them get unsolved). I did contact Sinemia inquiring about how to change my profile name first so that I can have successful ID verification by them. As always, I receive no response from them. I cannot just wait until months will pass then I am not able to get any tickets with the plan that I purchased, where I believe I have the consumer right to use it instead of endless waiting. Constantly changing the rules, failing to abide by the contract or provide the service, misleading advertisement with hidden fee, all violate the civil consumer laws. I am very unsatisfied with the service that Sinemia provides.

The membership costs $95.88. I would like a refund for the five months remaining - $39.95. (95.88/12=7.99 per month, 7.99 5= 39.95)

Application was not working at time of required check-in. Due to no check-in my account has been suspended.
After numerous attempts to check in before, during and after watching Captain Marvel at 9:50 on the morning 3/9/19 I was unable to complete check in. I have included a screenshot in an email sent to support as well as a message on facebook - both of which received no response.

This has happened in the past resulting in my account being charged $30.50 misuse fee. I did not take a screenshot at the time because I was not aware of the consequences, so I can not prove that occurrence due to app failure. If it is still possible I would like a refund regarding the previous fee considering it was also due to the app not functioning when I have to check in.

Simenia cancelled my account, which I previously paid for, without explanation. I've been emailing them daily since incident, but they haven't helped.
On Oct 22, 2018 I signed up for a year's subscription to their movie-buying plan. I followed every rule to the letter with no violations, but discovered on March 8, 2018 that they had terminated my account for supposed violations. I asked their customer service how I had violated and they said they could not tell me. They sent me a general link to a page that explained why someone would be terminated. I asked them to identify which of those rules I had violated and they said they were unable to tell me.

I would like them to reinstate my account and allow me to finish my year-long subscription.

The app through which the service (movie passes) does not function properly, rendering the service unusable.
