I signed up for a year long subscription and they are not honoring it. Their app isn't working and their customer service won't respond.
I signed up for a year long couples premium movie membership to see one movie a month. The app worked fine for the first month, but hasn't worked since. There is no way to redeem the movie tickets from the company without using the app. When I contacted customer service about the issue I received no response. When I contacted them about canceling and refunding my money I got no response. After checking recent reviews I have found that I am not alone in this matter.

Desired Outcome

I would like a refund of the money I spent on my membership.

I was incorrectly charged a fee and my account has been locked until I pay it. The company is not responding to my e-mails.
I used Sinemia's service on April 3 to see a movie. First, I complied with their new identification requirements, taking photos of me and my photo ID. I purchased the $16.49 ticket, using the Sinemia card, for the 6:30 showing of Dumbo at the AMC Empire 25 theater on *** Then, I followed the Sinemia application's instructions to check in to the theater. I pressed the check in button, and the pop up window went away. Before the movie started, I turned off my phone. The next day, on April 4th, I receive an automated email from Sinemia saying that I did not check in and need to pay a fee equivalent to the full price of the movie ticket, $16.49. I contacted Sinemia through their website to explain that I had checked in, so the fee has been incorrectly charged. Shortly after, I received a reply from a representative named ***. He reiterated Sinemia's check in policy, and explained that it is up to the Sinemia team whether to take it into account that it was my first missed check in. Then, I replied to him that I had not missed the check in, so this would not be my first check in anyway and again requested that the fee be dropped. I did not hear a reply after that. When I tried to use the application again on April 8, a pop up window informed me that I could not use the Sinemia application for any more tickets until I paid their fee. That evening, I sent them another email reminding them that this issue was still unresolved. After a couple of days on April 10, I again used their website to contact them, this time dissatisfied that they were now ignoring my concerns. In the time that it is taking them to resolve this issue, I am losing out on days I would be using their service. I paid for a year of service starting in December 2018. Therefore, Sinemia is now benefiting from what I paid them but not supplying the service because they have placed a fee on my account when I have done nothing wrong to incur such a fee.

Desired Outcome

I wish for the fee to be lifted from my account and for steps to be taken to prevent false fees from being charged to complying members in the future. I also wish for Sinemeia to credit me for the movies I have not been able to see using their application during the time it takes them to resolve the issue.

Their app does not work. It does not allow me to see any movies. They are unresponsive to any emails, which is the only way to reach them.
I have also started credit card dispute with American Express since the product does not work.

No response from customer service despite multiple emails Last month a new unskippable convenience fee was introduced in the app. Even though the theater website doesn't charge any convenience fee I had to pay a 0.9$ convenience fee to sinemia as the app wouldn't let me enter 0 as before. Soon after the app stopped working completely. For the last 3 weeks when I try to book an advance ticket and after I pick the theater and the movie I just get "Unknown Error. Please try again later!". Given that the only option for me to buy a ticket is through the app, this has rendered me unable to see my quota of two movies that I *** use for the month. Despite multiple emails (the only way to contact sinemia) I haven't gotten a response. Prior to this new convenience fee I was being charged a 1.8$ processing fee which was not specified when I signed up or even for the first few months. When I signed up I was told I will get a physical card but later they switched to cardless and despite multiple emails with the company they now expect me to pay for the card rather than honor the contract terms I signed up for.

I would like my quota that i missed because of the app not working to be reinstated and a refund paid for the convenience fee and all the processing fees i had to pay till now and also the option to not charge me for the rest of my contract term or a pro rated refund for the remaining term of my contract and also the fee i paid till now

This is the worst experience I have ever had with a company. They have provided me with the worst service I have ever seen. I cancelled my subscription and yet I was fraudulently charged $80 and I did my best to contact support. I got no response from support. So, then I used trustpilot and received a response that I would be offered a solution and I never got a response again. This is the most irresponsible company and they have been terrible with support. Their service doesn't work and they do not respond via customer support. I have requested a refund for the fraudulent charge and the charge for something I did not receive and I still have not been helped in the slightest. Do not sign up for this company.

This is a scam!!! I bought 12 months membership from 2018 and only saw 2 movies for 12 months because the card didn't work at all. Customer service never replied my emails. They don't have customer service phone number. Recently, they charged to my credit card for another 12 months membership without sending an email notifying me or asking me if I'd like to renew my membership. I signed in my account and cancel the membership, but it would not let me cancel. I already notified my credit card about this scam. I will cancel my credit card totally because they kept my credit card information. Please do not let Sinemia hold your bank account or credit card account they would take your money. In addition, now they require your 2 forms of your gov. IDs. Don't provide your ID, they *** do whatever to destroy your identity with the information from your gov. IDs. I am wondering if government would investigate this scam. Stay away from this people !!!!

The Sinemia app is not functioning properly so I have not been able to order movie tickets. I've been unable to use the services I prepaid for.
I have not been able to order movie tickets with my subscription for over a month now and although I have reached out to their customer service I have heard nothing back. I have tried trouble shooting the issue myself with no luck and now I'm extremely frustrated that I prepaid for a full year of service as well as gift cards to pay fees that originally didn't exist.

Desired Outcome

I would be satisfied with a full refund of the initial service fees I was charged and a prorated refund of the months left of my service including last month which I was not able to use. I'd also be satisfied with being able to actually use the service I paid for.

I have attempted on multiple occasions to use the app without success. On 4 occasions it has not allowed me to purchase movie tickets.
I have on 4 seperate occasions tried to purchase moive tickets. The app states that an "unkown error occurred try again later" no matter what ticket website I try to use. I have filed three complaints with the websites complaint department but there is no response. They allowed one of my movie a rollover but that doesn't help as I still cant access the tickets.

I would love to have the rest of my subscription refunded. This website has been more and more frustrating to deal with. It was a good service when it worked but the last few months I have been unable to use it. The appeal was any movie any time anywhere. I have limited time to see movies and don't need the frustration of trying to get an app to work. I would rather just have my subscription plan refunded

I bought a service of watching movies through them but now they are not allowing me to book tickets. I have already paid them full year in advance.

Paid for a service, sinemia not providing said services
I paid 239 dollars for their yearly movie pass. The app has not allowed me to purchase movie tickets for a month. I have emailed them and not received a response. I have not received any termination notices. I would like my a refund for last month and the remainder of my membership if they are no longer going to provide me with the movie tickets I paid for. Once again I have emailed them asking for resolution and have not received a response and they have not attempted to contact me to notify me of any service termination

Unable to purchase ticket at movie theater getting an error. Contacted via their customer support no response. This is the worst customer service for any company! I've been able to see 6 movies so at least I got some of my money back, but this is an unstable business in my opinion when you have no customer support. No contact number to reach a rep. and no response back when you email them. Not good....

Would do 0 stars if I could. App stopped working after several months of use. I contacted customer support (via email because there is no other way to reach them) 7 times over the course of a month and got no response. I was paying for the service and unable to use it and they offered the absolute worst customer service (aka no customer service) I've ever experienced. Now, I will tell everyone I know not to use their service - THEY ARE A SHAM and will take your money without fulfilling their end of the bargain. BEWARE.

I have had this service for going on six months now, I paid a year upfront. (Huge mistake!!) For the first 3 months I didnt even use the service. Then on the 4th month I decided I definitley need to start using this service I am paying for!

They made me pay for 2 of my tickets because I didnt check in (although the check in after getting your ticket is not written in the "how do I use senemia premium with cardless?" portion of instruction), also they *** track my location!! I WAS ONLY ABLE TO WATCH 1 MOVIE IN ALL MY SIX MONTHS!!! with Sinemia since going forward from there they start messing with my account! When trying to book a movie I would get a few wierd messages but the one I got the most was "An unknown error occurred. Please try again later!" and so I did about 40 different times through out a week period!!! No luck!
And dont get me started about all the fees they have added on!!
Also they pretty much make it unrealistic to cancel and get your money back!

Do not sign up for Sinemia. I had MoviePass *** switched to Sinemia in February for a year subscription in hopes of having a legitimate movie app. I was able to see ONE movie and it was so cumbersome that it was rediculous. Since then I have never been able to get it to work. The app says is is 'loading' and this is all you see. It is useless. What a shame a company that could be so profitable is so criminal.

We can't use our tickets for whatever reason- this has happened several times. They are not making good on their promises, and services. no response.

I have a year subscription to their service and the app you use to use the service is not working and they will not respond to my inquiries to fix it.
I initially got the subscription on 11-22-2018 and had not had any problems until 04-07-2019. You use their app to check into movies and I went to confirm my movie and it said there was an error I tried many times even deleting the app and downloading it again and still did not work. The only way to contact them is by email and I contacted them and I did not hear anything back even after several emails were sent. I then tried again today which is 04/15/2019 and got the same error message. So I again tried contacting them only to get a generic email in return which had nothing to do with how to fix the problem only something about missing a check in which I have not nor have I seen a movie in weeks so if I had why would they have not contacted me when this occurred to fix the problem. I then replied to that email as well and still have had no actual response on how to fix the my problem. I paid 288 dollars for this service and I cannot even use it and no one will help me fix the problem so that I can use it. I have even contacted friends who have the same service and they have not had any of the same problems. I have pictures of my problem and the generic emails that they have sent me.

I just want the service to work so I *** use it to see movies. I enjoy the service and previously has worked well for me, but has been very frustrating not being able to use this service as I should be able to.

Still neither they are providing service nor returning the money back and not even replying to emails
I have purchased one year plan with Sinemia and have paid them in full till the entire year. But since last 30 days Sinemia app is not working, I am not able to use Sinemia plan to watch movies. I sent email to them explaining the issue on Apr 5, 2019, no reply back. Again I sent a reminder on APR 8, 2019, no reply as of now. Then again I send another email to them on Apr 14, 2019 stating that if they do not rectify their service or refund money I will file a case against them in *** small claim court, they have not yet replayed to any of my emails. I have the emails as evidence.

I am really fed up with this company. Few of my friends are also facing the same issue. Sinemia is not at all looking into the issues.

It seems they have a big plan for huge scams in USA. Taking money for the entire year and not providing the service.

Non-functional app,laced with technical issues and pricing terms and conditions that keep changing all the time. Physical card never provided.
Paid for annual membership (120$) but their app has been non-functional most of the time and I never received a resolution from their customer service despite several complaints or tickets. It has been utterly useless and of no value to me. They only have an email address in the name of customer service, that gives blanket responses such as issue being looked into but no solution for months at an end. Even took to social media but did not help. They have introduced charges for a physical card, misuse charges for missing check-ins even if the issue is with the app, processing charges, etc., which were never part of the original plan advertised. I feel cheated and would like to bring their fraudulent behavior to light. Have documentary proof of emails sent to customer care and Twitter direct messages sharing details of issues experienced with app.

Desired Outcome

Would expect them to atleast have a call center or chatbot or some other ways to reach them apart from a one-way email box. Expect them to at least provide me a partial refund for all the months that the service has failed to work for me.

The Sinemia app is not working and not allowing me to use the movie tickets I bought. I have received no response back from Sinemia about the problem.
For over a month the Sinemia app is not working and will not allow me to use the movie tickets that I purchased for a year's membership. I have contacted Sinemia support with no response, and there are numerous people who have also complained and have received no response. This company collected payment but has not provided the service. I want a refund, as I've had to spend money that I wouldn't have had to spend if the Sinemia app was working correctly. This company is a fraud.
