Agree - not worth having them as a warranty company
I got a verbal denial of authorization to fix our gas range keypad last March 1, According to the person I spoke with, the denial was premised on the problem with the gas range keypad malfunction that caused the beeping sound to be a pre-existing conditionI made an appeal but up to now I haven't received any reply from them: We just bought the house and we closed on February 14, and we have no knowledge of any pre-existing condition of the range’s keypad and the beeping sound when we bought itThe gas range including the keypad was working except for the broiler which was fixed by the seller before we close on the houseWe did the final walk through on the house on February and everything had been fixedWe moved in the house last February 20, and we have used that gas range to cook and it was in good working conditionThe problem with the gas range keypad first occurred on February 27, when the technician told us about itThe malfunction cause

I filed a repair claim for an appliance that was covered under warranty just after thanksgiving The appliance is double ovensMultiple technicians have been out multiple times over multiple months now and I have had to live without double ovens working correctly for two holidaysMy wife is a baker, it has been awfulTo make matters worse, they have yet to call me back as promised and when the tech finally reached a point when he indicated the ovens could not be repaired, fidelity required a second opinion instead of replacing the ovens as promised dragging the process out furtherThey caused my home sale to fall through once, and are putting it in jeopardy a second timeWhen I did manage to speak to a customer service manager, she was rude, unaccommodating, and transferred me back into the first level authorization queue to wait for an hour and start all over instead of getting in touch with a manger for meAlmost three months for an appliance repair is completely unaccepta
I was trying to dispute a service charge with this company for a recall visit A plumber had come to fix and leak and the next day there was more water under the pipe The plumber came back and said nothing was wrong so we were charged a second service fee After many months and over attempts and hours on hold with this company I finally was able to speak to a live human being to dispute this second service charge I was told that the technician found nothing wrong so I should have been charged a service fee even though I had photos and proof that there was still water leakingTERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!
On May our upstairs ton split system Bryant AC was not coolingWe called for service and the Technician who came out stated that a filter dryer was not installed therefore they denied the claimI showed them that the manufactures installation manual lists a filter dryer as a recommended and not a required partAfter multiple service calls over a 1/month period (at least 6) from companies sent by FNHW and myself it was determined that the TXV valve was defective and needed to be replacedFNHW agreed to the repair and set up the repair with ** *** *** *** which is one of their vendorsThe technician said he had the wrong part and needed to return later that dayI received notice later that the TXV valve would not be replaced because the coil would also have to be replacedSince the coil would have to be replaced the Condenser unit would have to be replaced but since it was not defective but a rather a compatibility issue I would be responsible to replace the Conden
I signed up for this 'insurance' at the suggestion of my real estate agent After closing I discovered a leak in a bathroom shower fitting coming out of the wall I called the company and was told I would have to pay $service fee for them to send out a plumber This is probably about the cost to ask a plumber to make the repair Naturally this seems like a sham and I am very disappointed I cannot recommend this insurance
I have a contract with Fidelity National WarrantyI contacted them last year when one my tank-less water heaters failed to provide hot waterThe first tech they sent out found no problem and claimed that the water heater was in good working order, even though it could not produce hot waterThe second tech agreed the unit was indeed badDue to the high voltage of the water heater, both a plumber AND electrician are needed to replace this unitOnce the plumber installed the unit, Fidelity National Warranty then told me it would be an additional $dollars to run the electrical, even though the electrical was still in place from the old water heaterAfter more weeks of them unable to hook up the heater, I paid an electrician out of pocket to hook up the water heaterSomething I should not have had to doNow, on April 3rd, the water heater has failedAfter contacting Fidelity National Warranty, they informed me that they do not offer warranties on their work and that I would
I have waited full weeks for an AC repair company from fidelity and I still have a broken AC unitI filed the request online Sat July 21st, was contacted on the 24th for the first available appointment on the following Friday the 28th which was unacceptable due to our heat wave in Orange CountyI called back to customer service Tuesday the 24th to dispatch another companyThe lady by phone set the appointment for the next day the 25th between pm and midnightNext day, the guy does not show up and states he was booked up and couldn't get to me until ThursdaySo I waited and again, he didnt showI called customer service again Friday morning demanding an appointment and a manger, she said one would call me back shortly and never did! The weekend goes by, no call no work no ac! By Monday I call they find me yet another AC company who sets the soonest appointment for today, Friday Aug10thThree weeks now, the guy shows up and says he doesn't work on my "type" of AC unit, whateve
This was hands down the worst business service I have ever experiencedCustomer service was atrociously frustrating, their technicians were incompetent, the repairs preformed were sub-standard (and downright dangerous!) and their overall business practices were nothing short of deceptiveWe had three basic issues with my home that were covered under our warranty with Fidelity - a main service shut off valve that needed to be replaced, a leak in the basement ceiling, and not enough hot water for two people to shower at the same timeWe called and our first encounter with them was greatThey were responsive and said they would send a tech out the next day to assess the situation and see what would be needed to make the repairsIt was downhill from thereThe tech they sent advised us that we needed a new water heater, but couldn't determine the source of the other leakHe also said that they could replace the main service valve if water service was shut off to the property, and then tried to upsell me to install a PRV (an $part that he quoted me $to install.) When I asked him what he thought the leak in the basement ceiling could be, he advised me to cut the section of pipe out that appeared to be leaking because "you probably don't need it." The pipe in question was the fresh water supply line to my master bath toiletI was not impressedRight about then is where I should have told them to get out of my house, but figured we’d ultimately save money having them replace the water heater and main service valve (since I could then work on the plumbing myself once it was replaced.)
After informing him that we’d only like them to address the water heater and main shutoff valve replacement, the tech said he'd have to get a master plumber out to do the actual repairs and guaranteed us $out of pocket costs to do bothWe agreed and he left after saying that "he'll call [Fidelity] and get them to schedule a tech to do the workAlmost a week passed with no word from the companyI called to follow up and the rep on the line said they "had no record of speaking with us before." I ended up having to call the tech's personal cell phone (which he had given to me in case of emergency because of the leak) to get him to fill the customer service rep in and confirm the price we agreed uponAll this while trying to hold down my to So, after another day of back and forth on the phone, I confirmed the price guarantee with customer service and scheduled an appointment for the master plumber to come out and make the repairsThe master plumber arrived on time the morning of the scheduled repair and proceeded to tear the old water heater outOnly AFTER the old water heater was removed did he inform me that it would cost $to make the repairsI explained to him that they had already sent a tech out to quote us a price and we had agreed to $His response was to “call the company.”
So here we are, without running water, and now the company decides to tell us that costs have increased beyond the agreed upon priceI felt like nothing short of extortionI spent over two hours on the phone with several customer service reps, getting bounced around and put on hold for extended periods of time (over min at one point) only to be told that our only options were to pay the $or have the tech put the old water heater back in I refused saying that the agreed upon price was all that I'd payThey would not budgeIt wasn’t until after I told them that I would be filing a formal complaint with the Revdex.com and refused payment (which I will definitely be doing) that they decided that they might be able to come down on the price to $or give us a $check to have the repairs performed by another plumberThis was absolutely ridiculous, as this would leave us with no running water and hundreds of dollars out of pocketAt this point I just wanted them out of my house and needed running waterI told them to just do the repair and get outThe plumber proceeded to install the hot water heater and main shutoff valve but couldn't finish the job before having to leave to go to a “higher priority appointment” per his dispatcherTheir advice was to turn the water on to the property and check for leaks and call them if there were any that we noticedSo now we are $over agreed upon price, with no working hot water and the plumber simply leavesI turned on the main so we could have running water for the night and every single one of the connections he made was leaking steadily - all of the connections were only hand tight! Upon closer inspection, I noticed he left the gas valve COMPLETELY OPEN (with no pilot light on) right next to our furnaceHad I not checked and the furnace turned on over night, he could have killed my entire familyI ended up stopping the leaks myselfI called the company again that night to tell them that I would not be paying for the service and their response was that “legally I am liable to pay.” After all that, they had the sand to threaten legal action to collect paymentTo say that I am unsatisfied is an understatementTake whatever money you are considering spending on a home warranty though this company and invest it in something useful – like a Faberge egg or North Korean currencyTo date I have received no response from the company
