On 02/02/the customer placed a claim with Select HomeWarranty for their Heating System.We secured *** Mechanical to go out and take a look atthe issue, they stated that the unit is an old back flashing heat exchanger,which is cracked and leaking carbon monoxide and was shut down by
thetechnicianThe heat exchanger was shut down due to the fact that it is leakingcarbon monoxide.We do understand that the customer is stating that there areother issues with the unit, but, the unit will not function without a heatexchanger, and that is the main component needed.We advised the customer that we would like to see what wecan do for them, we did request the maintenance records on the unit. The customer informed us that they had norecords, which per the Terms of Agreement, we reserve the right to ask for inany major repair or replacement.Select Home Warranty did offer the customer a courtesypayment and did advise that they ca the issue taken care of themselves and submitthe invoice for review and we would be more than happy to assist in any way wecan, the customer refused.6.3.3. Heating System (Primary Only)ThisAgreement covers all module, components and parts of the heating systemnecessary to the functionality of the heating systemThis Agreement covers theprimary heating system of the covered home only, provided that the heatingsystem does not exceed a five (5) ton capacity. I gave Select Home Warranty plenty of time to "work this out" They referred me to different vendorsTwo of them complained that Select Home Warranty owed them money for previous services rendered One of them was in another townThe other one said he had never heard of Select Home Warranty and did not do businesss with themSelect Home Warranty tried to get me to pay a repairman myself to fix my refrigerator in "ggod faith" that they would eventually reimburse meThere was NO WAY I was going to pay and expect repayment if they were not even paying their own techniciansThat would be the definition of an oxymoronSelect Home Warranty is in breach of contract There is no excuse for them not paying the technicians from the companies that they do business withI demand a FULL refund due to their breach of contractI will not accept anything lessI have already spoken to my attorney about this and I will not let it goThey need to rerun my money, ALL OF IT, ASAPThat means no pro rating and no closure feeGIVE ME MY MONEY BACK

I spoke to SHW rep, they stated I would have to receive a second opinion, at which I had to pay the cost of the second opinion, the rep aslo informed me that even if the second opinion didn't have the same findings as the first plumber I would not be refunded for the second opinion nor will they Honor the repairMy question to SHW rep, why would I pay a out of pocket expense when they are hired to do a jobThe first plumber gave a report off their assumption from a previous jobWhen I informed the rep, he stated to me "Oh well"Now I'm being forced to pay a dollar cancellation fee to SHW not to honor there contactAlso I requested a copy of the first plumber report which the SHW rep ignored
