I am rejecting this response because: The business is claiming that they paid out $to the contractor for an estimate on top of the $that I was required to pay the contractor for coming out for his estimateI contacted the contractor (it is a taped conversation with Darrell ***) and he relayed that he is only allowed to charge a total of $for an estimateHe got the $from me and states he billed Select Home Warranty for the remaining ($55). Select Home Warranty withheld the full $from my refund instead of the remaining $The calculations are incorrectAlso, they have not credited any monies back to my bank account even though the billing department sent me an email entitled "confirmation of refund" days ago
The cutomer is not sue this amountThey have been approved for the parts coverage of $and the install is not covered under the termsWe have already sent a reimbursement form for the approved amount
Select Home Warranty is unable to proceed with covering the claim for the customer as we only warranty the pump not the repair or replacement of the systemWe are in possession of the invoice form the contractor which states the system needed to be replaced
This still is not resolved as I have not heard from the company

We did peak with the customer and helped settle the technician issue
The customer filed claims with our office on 7/23/When filing these claims the customer stated that the issues began on 7/18/Per section of the warranty the customer must report all claims within days of noticing the issues: Non-Emergency ClaimsTo make a claim for repair
you must contact Select within days following discovery of the malfunctioning and/or inoperability of the system or applianceThe independent Service Technician will be instructed to provide repair ment of the appliance or system within two (2) days during business hours and four(4) days on weekends and holidays following submission of the claimIf covered by this agreement, the system and/or appliance repaired d will be paid for by Select within a reasonable time following submission of the claimSelect will not be liable for any delay in the repair of the inoperable appliance or system In addition, per the inspection report received from this customer all units need to be upgraded in order to be up to codeWe do not cover upgrades in our contractWith respects to the customers roof claimFlat roofs are not covered

We did speak to the customer and explained the refund amount according to the terms of the policy
Select Home Warranty advised all of their customers that we are not there personally to see the issues that are occurring to a customers unit, we have to rely on the Technicians report.We were originally advised that the customer had a freon and as part of the Terms of Agreement, freon is a non-covered issueThen we find that there are parts of the unit that need to be replaced, again we are not an insurance company, we provide a warranty on mechanical components of the unit and those parts that are in need of replacement are a total cost of 250.00, which we will cover
The customer was given a copy of the Terms of the Agreement, which clearly states that LEAKS are not covered for Hot Water Heaters, if the cusotmer did not agree with the coverage they could have cancelled the policy within the first days, the customer signed, initial and returned the policy stating that they agree to all terms including that leaks pertaining to Hot Water Heaters are not covered
The customer purchased a policy on 6/10/2013, on a monthly basis for a month period, the customer then renewed in June of at the same rate for the same month period.In September of the customer card came back declined as the customers credit card expired on 08/2014, we notified
customer and did not hear fromt hem until January of 2015.We did inform the customer that his policy has lapsed since September of and would have to sign up with us again as we have not received any payments in months, which is a breach of contract.The customer has been advised that he may signe up as a new customer at this time, unfortunately we are not able to accept a claim due to lapse in policy

I am rejecting this response because: If this is the treatment that I will receive from this company than I will accept
the amount they approved of the $150, although I do not agreee with it by any means I will accept it since they are unwilling to understand a customers perspectiveI will also voice my dissatisfaction through reviews on various (as many as I can) reviews outlets and social media outlets notifying potential customers to be aware that this company will find any way to deny a claim so they do not have to payIt does appear that their contracts are written in a way that any claim will be denied regardless of the service and he customer is at a lossHad I spent a little more money on another reputable home warranty company I feel the outcome would have been mutually beneficial to the customer and the companyI am not the only customer to feel this way and to feel mislead and cheatedI have attached a copy of the paid receipt, because they have asked for it and a copy of a negative review another customer that has suffered the same treatment and shares the same thoughts about Select Home Warranty, this review is publically available on google reviews

This is an absurd rule, and completely a rip off of consumersNobody should have to pay both warranty premiums and all service costs, and that’s just not the point of buying warranty services
