when I did have the policy in effect was when I qualified for the claim and the date it was cancelled followed the time I sent in the claimthe business claims they never received my receipt for the microwave credit however they promised to fix it and did not instead they promised which they are backing out on further I have not received any refunds on my credit card at allthey are lying when they say they returned my money for the policy premiums I have had to go to a pulmonary specialist due to my air conditioner not being functioning the company refused to provide me with a technician to repair the air conditioner system they told me to FIX IT MYSELF , and wait for a possible refundthis company is illegal and scandalous, and should be subject to criminal charges for fraud and embezzlement

Select Home Warranty acknowledges customers’ dispute of multipleA/C unit coverage.On 8/22/customer called in to place claim for A/C on UnitC, we dispatched a technician to the residence and diagnosed the issue, asstated on the invoice the unit was in need of cleaning, and there were cloggedlines The mechanical repair for theunit was to replace a capacitor which we did cover.We spoke to the customer again on 8/26/in regards tomaintenance and cleaning of the unit and that it is outside of the scope ofcoverageCustomer stated at that time he was told by the Salesperson he hadcoverage on all his Air Conditioning Units, we advised we only cover theprimary system and any additional covered would have to be purchasedseparatelyAir Conditioning (Central)ThisAgreement covers the primary floor air conditioning unit of the covered homeonly, provided that the air conditioning unit does not exceed a five (5) toncapacityThis Agreement covers the following air conditioning components: (i) motors;(ii) compressors; (iii) condensers; and (iv) thermostats.This Agreement does NOT cover window, wall orportable air conditioning unitsThis Agreement does NOT cover (i) air filters;(ii) Freon; (iii) Freon recapture; (iv) geothermal systems; (v) gas or propaneair condition systems; (vi) air filtration systems; (vii) humidifiers; (viii)registers; (ix) grills; (x) stands; (xi) jacks; (xii) condenser casings; (xiii)pads; (xiv) vents; (xv) flues; (xvi) clogged lines; (xvii) condensation leaks;(xviii) mismatched systems; (xix) damaged ducts; (xx) improper wiring; and(xxi) improper piping;(xxii)freon leaks;(xxiii)damage caused by freon leak.I have attached a copy of the signed agreement which showsthat there is optional coverage for Air Conditioning Units, also the documentshows the optional coverage that the customer has selected and has not addedadditional units.Select Home Warranty did listen to the call between customerand salesperson, there was no mention of any additional unit coverage for AirConditioningWe received an email from the customer on 9/11/and repliedback to give us a call to resolve the matter by listening to the call with oneof Select Home Warranty’s upper management staff A response in form of an email was received fromthe customer on 10/8/stating he does not want to renew, a call was placedto the customer with message to call us to again discuss a resolution.We are more than willing to resolve this matter with thecustomer and make sure all Terms of Agreement are completely clear, and doapologize for any inconvenience in the matter

I am rejecting this response because: My expense was not I will not settle for anything less than what is fair and what is promised to me when I signed up for the serviceIt is a matter of principle, it is a shame that American companies would do this to their customers, where is the honesty?

Select Home Warranty has issued a refund in the form of a check on 09/02/tot he customer

The customer has already been informed that they were approved the maximum allowance of $towards their claimIf the customer wishes to proceed with cancelling their contract, it will be cancelled per section of the warrantyThe customer is not eligible for a full refund as refunds are issued within the first days of purchasePlease confirm if you wish to proceed with cancelling your contract

Per the diagnosis received from the customers technician [redacted] ***, the unit needs maintenance related repairs & freonBoth of these items are not covered under the customers contractNo additional funds due at this time

With regards to claim # [redacted] the customer had just signed the reimbursement form on 11/13/Reimbursement checks are issued and mailed out approximately business days from the date the forms were signedThe customer is not yet scheduled to be reimbursed for this claimAs soon as the check is issued for this claim we will have it mailed out right awayWith regards to claim # [redacted] the claims manager advised that we would normally not reimburse the customer for this particular claim, however, the did approve a reimbursement in the amount of $which is $(service call fee) - $(customers deductible which would have been their responsibility regardless of the technician assigned) =$This is the maximum approved allowanceA reimbursement form has been sent to the customer for signaturePlease electronically sign and submit so that we may have this check submitted for processing as wellNo additional funds due at this time

This information is not correct , as part of the terms without years prior maintenance there is a $policy limit on ac claimsSelect cannot be responsible for issues that arise from lack of maintenance

I am rejecting this response because: First of all I haven't received a check. I don't know when it was sent but I NEVER received one and secondly, if the amount... isn't for the total I spent on their bogus contract I won't accept it anyway. The fact that I had to pay for my own service tells me their contract didn't plan to adhere to what it claimed to cover anyway. If I can't get proper relief from them I will reach out to the attorney general in New Jersey because as far as I am concerned their contract is a FRAUD!

The customer placed a claim for his pool and we advised thatthe pool techs in our network, did not have availability to be able to servicehim right away. The customer was advisedas per the policy that we offer an alternative for the customer, where they maycontact a local technician, have them come to the home and as the issue,give Select Home Warranty a call when the technician is there to make sure thework is covered by the warranty and submit the invoice for review. Once we discussed this option with the customer as a resolutionto obtain service faster, the customer requested to cancel their policy withSelect Home Warranty.The customer should also take into consideration a warrantyservice works just like any insurance program, you pay for the time that youhave coverage, just like car insurance. Inthe case you do not have an accident for the term you have car insurance, areyou entitled to a refund for those months that you did not have anaccident? The customer had coverage withSelect Home Warranty and we did supply and alternative course of action andwere more than willing to assist the customer, but, it was their decision toend the relationship.

The customer has been refunded via credit card on 1/19/

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:While they have completed my request for a refund, they still owe me a copy of the diagnosis from the contractor I have been getting nothing but the run around from Select Home Warranty They are cheats and will do nothing to assist their customers I would be interested in how many customers they actually helped with a/c issues? It seems to me they do nothing but deny and cheat When I asked the contractor for a copy of the diagnosis not only did they tell me they could not provide it, per Select Home Warranty, that they were instructed by Select Home Warranty NOT to place it in writing Regards, [redacted]
