Please cancel the warranty and waive the cancellation fee. This has taken much too much time to resolve and is a sad reflection on your customer service. I would rather cancel the warranty and find my own solution to getting my washing machine repaired. Regards, [redacted]

The customer was informed that per section 6.4.10 this claim was not covered. The customer received a copy of their warranty and signed it therefore accepting all our warranty terms and conditions (see attachment). The customer already requested to cancel their contract and their May installment has... already been refunded to them. Since they are a monthly paying customer they were only eligible for the last installment. No additional funds due at this time.

Select Home Warranty has issued a check in the amount of on 07/22/and will mail another check in the amount of on Friday, August for a total of refunded tot he customer

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:Based on the company's response, Select is misleading the public by claiming they are offering a home warranty when in fact they are only covering parts The company is well aware a reasonable person would assume if they are purchasing a warranty, labor charges would be paid by the company if a repair is approvedFor example, if an individual wrecks their car, insurance companies does not tell consumers it will only cover the cost for parts and not laborFurthermore, Select claims it only covers partsTherefore, it should not matter what company I use to repair a covered item? The contract states I am to pay a service charge of $each time a tech is dispatched to my propertyWhy am I paying for labor and a service fee? Why is Select allowing vendors to double dip and cheat its customers? If what the company is asserting is correct, I should be free to use any licensed company to submit my claim and not be subjected to multiple charges Regards, [redacted]

Tell us why here...The customer originally placed their claim on 06/06/2015, wehad issues with the area the customer is located in, the technicians did nothave availability to service the customer, and we did suggest that the customersecure their own technician.The customer did get their own technician and they diagnosedthat the unit needed to be replaced and, the age of the unit is years, therewas rust and corrosion, there is mold inside of the plenum and coils, theevaporator coils are also leaking, Outside unit needs to be upgraded to a 14Seer As old system is No longer available.Select Home Warranty advised the customer as per the Termsof Agreement that Freon, Freon Leaks and Damage due to Freon leaks are notcovered The customer then stated thatthe technician that they secured [redacted] Heating Inc, as well as the invoicethat was sent in by the customer was not true.The customer claimed that there was no technician that cameto their home, even though the customer sent us the invoice We contact [redacted] from [redacted] and he thenstated that the coils do not have a Freon leak, but all the information hepresented before was true and that the unit had shorted to the ground., needs anew contactor, capacitor, inside of the unit is rusted and has mold growth aspreviously stated.The technicians’ diagnosis the same as the original less theFreon Leak, the compressor being grounded is not a covered issue per the Termsof Agreement due to refrigerant/Freon being the leading cause of compressorsburning out the other is improper voltage.Select Home Warranty would also like to clear up the fact thatwe are a warranty company, not an insurance company, if the customer has anemergency or needs a system repaired or replaced they should move forward andwork out the details with us in the meantime.Select Home Warranty left off with the customer as they weregoing to review what was covered and not covered, they are more than welcome tocall Customer Service at any time to inquire what is covered and not.Please acknowledge the copy of the Common Causes of Burnedout Air Conditioners

I am rejecting this response because: This was not my complaintMy complaint was the miscommunication to me about what was covered under my terms and conditions and the fact that I never received me terms and conditions until after my 13th attempt to resolve the issueTheir response is a prime example of why I am upsetThey keep acknowledging part of my complaint, not the prime complaintThey can not take responsibility for intentionally misleading meNot until I had to reach out for the 14th time did someone in clear words explain the warranty to meEvery other person just said according to my policy guidelinesWhich I stated previously I never received until JuneI bought my house in August and submitted my claim in JanuaryIt took almost nine months to get my policy guidelines, but not until after I had reached out and filed a complaint through the Revdex.com

We did speak to the customer and offer to get a tech out by Monday They opted to cancelWe will waive any cancellation feesThey will be getting a refund by checkPlease allow 14-days to arrive
