I over $11,000.00 to close my account with Santander on June 26, 2017 and have been waiting for title and refund on over payment.
I sent a payoff check for my vehicle loan in the amount of $11,927.00. My title was supposed to be sent out within 20 days of my payment being accepted. I called Santander to inquire about my title which they told was was sent out on July 13, 2017 to an old address because my husband they said never updated his address but we did our statements were being received at our new address we have had the last 2 years. The lady I spoke with explained to me my husband should call back right away and update his address because there was an overpayment when I closed out my account of a little over $85.00. The associate told me the refund would be processed on August 3, 2017 but I have yet to receive my title and refund. Every time I call no matter what time it is or what day the department I need to speak with is closed. I spoke with a manager today who said my refund was processed on July 21, 2017 and was probably sent to our old address even though that was the day I spoke with the first associate who explained it would be processed on August 3rd. I keep getting the run around when I have paid off my debt with this company. They said I only over paid $85.00 but I feel like I over paid way more than that. I would like my title and refund sent to my correct address as soon as possible.

Desired Outcome

I want the title to my vehicle as well as the refund of over payment.

Re: Revdex.com Case No.: XXXXXXXX

Dear Ms.:

We have received your complaint from the Revdex.com (Revdex.com). Thank you for continued attention to this matter.

In your complaint you state that you have yet to receive your title and refund after closing your Santander Consumer USA Inc. (Santander) account. You also state that Santander sent your title to an old address and *** have sent the refund to the wrong address. You request that Santander provide your title and refund. We have reviewed this matter and offer the following response.

On June 29, 2017, a payment in the amount of $11,181.22 was received and posted to your account, which paid the account in full. This payment created an overage on the account in the amount of $85.62. The estimated release date for the refund was July 21, 2017. On July 21, 2017, the overage refund was mailed to: *** Loop, Bellingham, WA XXXXX.

Please note that Santander issues all refunds in the form of a debit card. Since the Citi debt card was not received and/or activated/used; we issued a refund check in the amount of $85.62. On August 18, 2017, the check was sent via FedEx (Tracking No.: XXXXXXXXXXXX) to the same address within the complaint. Our records indicate that the check was received on August 21, 2017.

On July 14, 2017, the title to the vehicle was mailed to the address on file: *** 4, *** WA XXXXX. On July 26, 2017, the title was returned undeliverable/wrong address. On that same day, the title was mailed to: *** Loop, Bellingham, WA XXXXX.

On August 15, 2017, during a telephone call a Santander Office of the President (OOP) Representative confirmed that the title was sent to the wrong address. The OOP Representative advised you that a Release of Lien (ROL) would be mailed to: *** Loop, Bellingham, WA XXXXX.

Enclosed is a copy of the payment history and ROL for your review.

We apologize for any inconvenience that you have experienced regarding this matter. Please understand that we make every attempt to work with our customers to achieve the best service possible. If further assistance is needed, please contact us directly at X (XXX) XXX-XXXX.

I had full coverage and gap insurance
Now it's on my credit report that I owe
I brought a car through Santander around august 2012 and car was totaled April 2013. I had full coverage and gap insurance which I thought paid balance
Now it's on my credit report that I owe $178

Desired Outcome

Would like for removal from credit report

This company really takes advantage of people and works with dealerships to scam people with little to no credit. I never received a contract from the car sales man and never jnew my interest rate until months in, Yes I was young and dumb and happy to get a car seeing that everyone turned me down for having no credit, but the more I review the recent statements the company provided me with, I never qualified for this loan. My maturity date was July 11th 2017 and they are saying I still owe 8200 dollars. I don't understand , ive paid 450.00 dollars for the past 5 yrs , on a XXXXX dollar car. They informed me that my interest rate is 24.99 percent and they are refusing to modify my loan , I don't understand how this is legal, the rep told me I've paid over XXXXX and roughly XXXXX was all interest? I don't understand , they sent me a copy of my payments today and sometimes out of a whole 450 only 29 bucks went to principal. They are robbing ppl and keeping them tied up in loans purposely. I need legal guidance.

Santander denies receiving my monthly payment of $233.49 even after reviewing proof from bank.
On 06/18 I made a payment through online bill pay through my bank, bank statement shows Santander received my payment on 06/20 . Santander denies ever receiving the payment and requested proof, which I have sent every document my bank is able to provide. Santander tells me they will 'escalate' and call me back, but I don't hear anything back until I call them. I checked again today ( mind you this has been going on since 06/18 ) and theyre still saying the payment hasn't been received but I have proof!

Desired Outcome

I don't want to be responsible for making my car payment twice. They have had every opportunity to find the payment. I want my car payment for the month of june to be applied to my account BECAUSE I MADE THE PAYMENT. I am not asking for handouts or anything of the sort, im only asking for the payment to show on my account.

I sent a letter to the CEO explaining hard ships that they were aware of. I kept this company in the loop every time something came up or I could not make a payment. The loan was paid in full prior to the maturity date after I received a job and was able to make double payments and eventually just payoff in full (one big lump sum). Of course me paying in full meant the they could no longer receive interest. My letter was in inquire in good faith the removal of some late payment. The rep that responded to the email had no compassion *** simply told me NO! I explained how these late payment was keeping me from buying a home. Keep in mind I no longer owe this company and made on-time payments for up to two year ( all late payment was made at the beginning of the loan). I thought that by paying the loan in full would be a positive thing but I guess it put me on Santander bad side. O well.

I had a car financed with Citibank during the bail out. Citibank sold my loan to Santander without my knowledge. I sent my payments in as I normally did to Citibank, and after the 3rd month, I got them back with a rejection letter stating my loan was sold off 3 months prior and I should have been making my payments to the new lender. 2 weeks later I get a letter for collections for Santander saying I'm 3 months behind, and they are going to reposes my car. I send them the payments, and a week later I get my new note. I had originally owed a little over 5,000 on my car, and the paperwork with the new note said that in the purchasing of my loan from Citibank, that they refinanced my loan and I now owed over 11,000.
I told them to come get the car. They refused. Finally after 6 months, they came and got the care and we went to court over the loan. I was found not liable for the loan, and it was removed from my credit report.
Jump ahead to today, June 13th, 2017. Not only is Santander back on my credit bureau, but it's on there for over 6,000 dollars? What magic number is this? They dropped my credit rating to poor from good, and they labeled me 30 days delinquent so my 100% positive pay history is now shot. Lawsuit will ensue, but stay away from these guys, they are the worst company ever.

WORST AUTO LOAN COMPANY EVER!! Got a 2009 Dodge Caliber from CarMax January 2016, first time buying a car. Lost my job in August 2016 and got a two month extension for August and September. Nobdy told me that I would still have the interest to pay for those 2 months, I only had the extension for the principal amount. My car got repossessed last night at midnight because my account was over 100 days past due. All of my payments since getting a new job in September 2016 have been made on time. Called Santander this morning and it turns out that my extension was never approved even though I was told that it was. Was never given any other notion that my extension wasn't approved, no letter no phone call nothing. Now I'm out of a car which is just lovely!

Worst bank. Several years ago their name in Sovereign Bank. They have a very complicated system to log in. Now they changed the name to Santander bank, but become worse. Applied mortgage there, but they input my date of birth wrong. Now I can't apply online banking. Trying to open a checking account to fix this, but they keep request materials from you but not fix this. One checking account application will take you 1 month to open. Very frustrated experience on this bank.

My issue have never had me where I am today with Santander. Cant sleep. Cant work. Emotionally distress. Causing physical pain! I have an awful horrifying voicemail with my ACCOUNT MANAGER breathing very hard, and moaning. The call was supposrd to end at 26seconds. The voicemail is 1min33seconds. Im talking with lawyers, the police, the news, I will not stop until I feel safe and I see and feel a change. I am scared what if this person knows Ive called and complained and is looking for me or watching me? The sounds are soooo vivid im I scared and concerned and furthermore WHAT IS HE DOING? I am willing to play the voicemail for whoever can help me willing to hear it. I cringe everytime! Why would a business be making sexual gestures(sounds only) on MY VOICEMAIL?

I returned my 2014 Fiat 500E lease to a Fiat dealer on March 4, 2017, before the lease was ended on March 9, 2017. I got a return vehicle receipt from the dealerTom *** is very helpful and professional. In that receipt, I returned everythingcharging cable, two sets of keys, TomTom. I also did replace all 4 brand new tires. According to the original inspection report in January 2017, I forgot to bring the charging cable and spare key; and the tires were worn out. As a result, I got a write up of total $1350 for missing charging cable, a set of spare keys, and 4 tires. I got a call from Chrysler Capital around early April that I must pay $1350. So I told the customer service that I returned everything back; I should not owe anything. I told her about my returned receipt. Then she checked something and told me that she took off the cost of 4 tires ($400); so I still owe $950 for missing charging cable and a set of key. Moreover, she told me to come back to the dealer to ask *** to fax her the returned receipt. I was upset that how she could get the tire replacements but not others in the same returned receipt from the dealer. I called and stopped by the dealer on Kearny Mesa (Romeo Fiat) where I leased a new 2017 Fiat 500E. *** did refax the returned receipt to Chrysler Capital again. On early ***, 2017 I got collection call from Chrysler Capital again for $950. I told the customer service staff again that I have the returned receipt that I returned everything; and I needed to speak to the manager. My call was transferred and never picked up over 10 minutes; so I hung up. I'm frustrated on how Chrysler Capital is handling paper works and records. It appears they do not update records from dealer. *** did call Chrysler Capital on my perhaps to clear up the mistakes. He told me that I was supposed to receive an email from Chrysler Capital and a mail letter that I have zero balance (owe nothing from 2014 Fiat 500E lease). I never receive email or letter.
Product_Or_Service: 2014 FIAT
Account_Number: Acct#XXXXXXX

Desired Outcome

Other (requires explanation) I want to straight this out with the management on why I got different answers from different staff from Chrysler Capital. My returned vehicle's receipt is stated I returned all required items but the system seems to be with the inspection report. This caused my time with my family and work to deal with this matter for over two months. If I get another collection call from Chrysler Capital on these baseless charges, I will consult with my attorney to file a ligation against Chrysler Capital.
