Lease of a 2016 Ram Big Horn was turned in to the dealership on 10/05/2017 and was inspected by the dealer while I watched. After the inspection they informed me that a chip in the windshield was very close to the allowable damage allowed. After discussion with my salesman we decided that I should have the windshield replaced so I called my insurance company and had the windshield replaced to be on the safe side. My salesman informed me that I could still leave the vehicle at the dealership and drive off with my new lease of a 2017 Ram Big Horn and they would handle the replacement of the windshield. So I drove away in my new Ram as a happy guy. Then a couple weeks later I received the End of Term Final Bill with an outstanding balance of $774.00 and a final odometer reading of 23,045 and Inspection date of 10/10/2017. The Bill said the $774.00 was for -Exterior Damage. I was confused how that could of been when my vehicle was already inspected at the dealer so I called Chrysler Capitol and asked how this could be after my vehicle was already inspected and they told me that the dealership was not qualified to do the inspection and vehicle was inspected at dealership by them, so long story short I had to have the vehicle inspection report E-mailed to me so I could see what this damage could possibly be for. Once I looked at the vehicle inspection report I immediately noticed 3 huge factors for the credibility of the bill I received other then the fact that there was no damage when I turned it in. #1 The bill I received said the inspection was done on 10/10/2017 the inspection report said it was completed on 10/13/2017. #2 The bill I received said mileage when inspected was 23,045 the inspection report said odometer mileage was 23,133. #3 Was told on phone inspection was done at dealership in Bloomfield, MI the report said vehicle was inspected in Toledo, OH. Damage reported 2 dents on rear bumper. Picture of damage had no proof it was taken of my truck as there were many Rams in the lot. ETC.....
Account_Number: XXXXXXX
Billing Adjustment I would like the damage charges dropped as for all of the above reasons and looking more into the pictures I found a picture of a sandwich in the bed of the truck. I was lied to on paper about Inspection date and Mileage. I was lied to on the phone about the inspection location. This is absolutely ridiculous. I handed the keys to you on 10/05/2017 8 days and 88 miles later its dented and dirty and in another state and you ask me to pay for your mistakes.

RE: Revdex.com Case No.: XXXXXXXX
Chrysler Capital Account: ***
Dear Mr.:
We are in receipt of the complaint you filed with the Revdex.com (Revdex.com), regarding fees due on the above Chrysler Capital account. Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to address your concerns.
Our records show that the vehicle was grounded on October 10, 2017, as dealer buyout. An inspection was performed on October 13, 2017, in which $774.00 in excess wear and tear was assessed to the account, attributable to rear bumper multiples dents.
On December 11, 2017, the Office of the President reviewed your photos and waived $350.00 from the total of $774.00 which left a remaining balance of $424.00
After a thorough review of the account, we have elected to waive the remaining balance of wear and tear fees in the amount of $424.00. As of the date of this letter the balance of wear and tear is zero. The account now reflects a zero balance.
Thank you again for bringing this matter to our attention. If further assistance is needed or additional information can be provided regarding this matter, please contact us directly at X(XXX) XXX-XXXX.
Sincerely,
CHRYSLER CAPITAL
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
Thank you for your time and consideration in this matter.
ABSOLUTELY AWFUL COMPANY.
In early 2012 I filed Chapter 13.
In early 2017 my 12 year old car died and I was forced to buy a car before formal discharge of the Chapter 13. Santander financed. Every miniscule aspect of getting this loan was legit. Ts crossed. I's dotted. Trustee approved. All went along swimmingly for almost 9 months.
Then, in November 2017, I went to log onto my account with them (which I had done with no issues since purchase of the car). It says that my account has been "disabled". I contact customer service because, obviously this is a mistake. I've paid well in advance of each due date, well ABOVE AND BEYOND the amount due, each and every month. I was told that they had *justgotten around to auditing my account and, because of the open Chapter 13 (there was 1 month left at this point), I was no longer allowed to access my account online. WHAAAAAT???? What does one have to do with the other?????? I was told that from now on, I needed to make the payments directly through my bank, and I would not be given the "privilege" of even so much as a paper monthly statement.
For 9 months they reported favorably to credit bureaus. Then, nothing. I call to inquire as to why they stopped reporting my favorable payments. Because of the Chapter 13 filed in 2012.....
After almost a full year of stellar payments on my part, stellar reporting on their part, they took ADDITIONAL STEPS to *** me over, for a bankruptcy that (at the time) had 1 month left before being discharged. I now have ZERO access to my account, they refuse to send me monthly statements because that, my friends, is a privilege according to them. According to the credit bureaus, my last payment was in October 2017.
I was FORCED to use this company because I found myself in a bind with no working car and an open Chapter 13.
Anyone who CHOOSES to finance through this company is an ***
Rest assured I will refinance the INSTANT I am able, and I will continue to write negative reviews for this *** company till *** over.
I have NEVER been treated to *** in my life, even after enduring a bankruptcy.

In 2012 I purchased a VW EOS car with a Santander Consumer USA loan. In 2015 and 2016 I tried to refinance, trade in and even sale my car but was not able to do so because of the Santander loan the loan is more than what the car is worth. I called up Santander in October 23, 2017 to come pick up the car because I an surrendering my car. I called a few times after that because I was told it would be picked up with in three to five business days and it was not. The customer service people kept hanging up on me when I explain the situation. I ended up blocking their number because I receive calls everyday when I do answer no one says anything they just hang up. It is now January 17, 2018 the car still has not been picked up. I am to the point that I should receive money back because I have paid too much for the car and want the pink slip.

Please if you're considering applying for a loan, do not use this company! I started my loan with this bank in June of 2011. It was a 72 month loan, which means it would have been paid off in June of 2017. There were 4 occasions where money was tight and I had to ask for a deferment. Thinking that is not good to do, but never realizing it would end up costing me 3,000. Today I paid off the loan. I paid on it 6 months after the original maturity date which would have been June 2017 had I not set back those 4 payments. When I called to pay it off today, they informed me that the payoff was 3,189.27. No explanation as to why other than that interest accrues daily and that is the interest on the loan that was formulated? Are you kidding me? I put defer 4 payments, pay on it 6 months past the regular maturity date and still owe 3,189.27? Something isn't right and they are crooks. I guess that they must need the money more than I do. I will NEVER get a loan through this company again and I would recommend that you don't either unless you enjoy throwing your money away and being *** over!

Santander is the worst, I've had the run around with these guys and now that I refinanced my vehicle, loan is been paid off, I've been told I have to wait 60-90 days for my refund of warranty, my cancellation of warranty was 10/11 however officially there telling me my cancellation wasn't until the 30th when they actually reported it. My loan had been paid off since end of October, but I'm suppose to wait til the end of January for my refund. Bad business from them since the start.

I was financed by Santander thru what I thought was a reputable car dealership so I didn't question the fact that they would work with me having little to no credit history (I cash and carry mostly so I didn't have a big credit payment history). For the first yr or two of paying, things were okay. Year 3 my income changed and it 'seemed' that the company was working with me and even offered deferments to help me catch up. Unbeknownst to me, their deferment guidelines were predatory as well. I had my vehicle for 5 yrs and found out they only applied not even $5000.00 towards the principal of my loan. EVERYTHING else went to interest and fees. Even though I would pay my monthly pmts in full by the end of each month, I would receive calls 2-4 times a day stating pmt was late and the interest and fees amount constantly changed. Their customer service reps often lied about company policies, lied about previous conversations I had with other reps (they note what they want to note in their system). I have been told it was against company policy to send me a copy of any conversations I've had w/out a court order and even though 'calls are supposed to be recorded for quality assurance' they can never seem to access past phone conversations. My truck was recently repossessed and I do NOT want it back. I have repeatedly asked where it would be auctioned from b/c I want to be sure any 'possible' final balance owed would be correct and the Santander rep told they don't know where it would be auctioned from and I would need to speak with the repo company about that. The repo company said to check with Santander b/c they didn't have that information. And so the lies continue. One interesting point was the last rep I sp/w the Monday before the truck was repossessed asked me if I was planning on filing bankruptcy or if I was going to get and attorney?? attorney?? hmmm??
BUYER BEWARE*** READ THE REVIEWS! At the time of me writing this there were only 58 reviews, but 55 of them are NEGATIVE! Yet the Revdex.com still gives them 3.5 out of 5 stars. 1,893 customer complaints and only 246 resolved satisfactorily!! 1,112 cars illegally repossessed from Servicemembers! Yet the Revdex.com still gives them an "A" rating. Thousands upon thousands of negative reviews and complaints on other sites as well.
I was in the Military when I financed a vehicle with them, so every single payment was made on time and in full via military allotment.
4 years later when I traded in that vehicle, it was late in the month so I was unable to stop the last allotment payment from going through. We notified them that the payment was coming and they ensured us that our refund would be "expedited".
Well we were luckier than most people who have had this issue. After 3 WEEKS of phone calls and being lied to, dealing with 2 different managers who were both extremely rude, reporting this company to the Navy Legal Service Office, speaking with a civilian attorney, finding out our refund was INTENTIONALLY held back, and filing a complaint with their Office of the President, we FINALLY received our refund.
Many of their Customer Service Representatives are poorly trained, their phone system is unreliable (calls get disconnected constantly), the managers are unprofessional, and the supervisors are always unavailable.
Their customer service practices are absolutely HORRIBLE, so I cannot give them a positive review. Sad part is, their Parent company Banco Santander was once known as "The best bank in the world". If Santander Consumer USA fixed their business practices and acted more like their parent company, maybe someday they can change their image.

This company refuses to work with you when you have a family emergency and fall behind. The tell you there nothing they can do and charge you way high interest rate and get you with a totally no good warrenty for more then it should be. When you call and explain you situation you get told there is nothing they can do and you need to pay the full past due amount or they will come repo your car. I had to file bankruptcy to save my car though them. This is the worst company ever and I wouldnt go though them ever again. This company need to be shut down for ripping off good people.

How does 56 negative complaints equal an A-? I was behind on payments and unfortunately had my car towed early morning on 10/20. Not even 2 hours later I made the payment I was told to make to get my car back. I was told to wait 24 hours for the release paperwork to be sent to the place where my car was, to release my car to me. Due to the weekend being closed, I had to wait til the following Monday and the car place still did not receive any paper work and they no longer had my car. IT WAS SENT TO AUCTION! AFTER I PAID EVERYTHING! Then to find out that because my mother had made half of the payment, because she was not on my account that they would not release my car unless my mother went and got a notarized Non dispute letter from her bank. Of course none of the 5 reps I talked to warned us about this. If we would have known, my mother would have just wired me the money. Of course all they say is sorry and make this even more of a nightmare. How do I still not have my car after paying everything I needed to 3 days later. And Santander didn't even communicate the day I made the payment to the location of my car that I had paid, so it got moved to a town an hour away. On top of paying all the payments and fees, we had to pay notarized fees, and I'm going to have to pay for an uber that will take me an hour away to get my car. Not one rep told us the same information as well. I could go on. I have not had one positive experience with them.
