Santander Consumer USA Reviews (%countItem)

This company is extremely suspect. In December 2017 I called Santander in Dallas to obtain the pay-off amount, so Inpaid the amount quoted and waited for my title to arrive. In February, I called again, and was told I had a balance of $13. I paid that. After a month, I called for my title they said it was in the mail. Since that time I have called and spoken to some individuals that could not be understood in the English language and as far as upper management. Upper management offered me a Lein Title instead of the title to my car. I was told by Stephanie, there is only one. It cannot be duplicated. I was informed the the lower level employees spelled the street name incorrectly and I am to accept the Lein Title Release. Shady. Yes. Unprofessional. Staff included. Unpaid 24,000 for a car valued at 11,000. Not their fault. I paid every dime. And no TITLE. Do NOT do business with Santander. Even sounds reptilian. Sssssssss

Sandtander has incorrectly give me 5 late payments on my credit report due to the fact they lost payment in the mail
Late payment reported to credit bearus auto loan XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Desired Outcome

All late payments from auto loan history remove due to fact sandtander lost payment and then give me late history as in ongoing investagtion

I would like all three late payments remove due to fact payments were lost and due to neglect of Sandtander posting payment to my account so that they *** steal late payments monies from consumers. I have nodified Sandtander of this issue several times. If Sandtander is unable to remove late payment from credit bearus I'm requesting Sandtander send me all by mail payments history and copy of check cashed payments and all contract and other documents related to this vehicle I want documents that were also sent to the dealership. Any and all documents anything missing to prevent further neglect of this investigation I will seek additional civil suits for discrimination of Sandtander tacticala.

I had requested a pay off quote for my vehicle. They gave me a 10 day guarantee of it being 6558.12. I asked if I could pay with an ACH and the service agent on the phone assured me that could be done no problem.

When I went to make my payment the next day, the quote shot up to 6600.09, and I didn't feel like arguing and was prepared to just make the payment through ACH. Their online and phone system, including customer service will not let you make a payment higher than 2,000. When I asked why, she told me she didn't have to tell me and that I should send a check but by the time they'd get it, the quote would most likely change.

What's the point of the quote?

WHY WOULD YOU RESTRICT YOUR CUSTOMERS FROM GIVING YOU MONEY? That's ludicrous. Beyond time wasting. I asked to speak to her supervisor and she told me "she's just going to tell you the same thing". Beyond unhelpful, evil, slimeball of a company.

Don't ever get stuck with them like I did.

Long story short, my note is over $600 a month for a 2015 Camaro. I got a little behind for 2 months and they charged me late fees (to be expected). Since then, I doubled paid after a minor set back. These bloodsuckers never applied the overages (over payment to my late fees accumulated which was about $154 bucks). It's simple math and it's self-explanatory. For 3 months I'm thinking I'm current and the whole time they never applied the extra payments to my fees. I demanded that they fixed it (APPLY SIMPLE MATH TO MY ACCOUNT) OR I'm contacting the Revdex.com, lawyers, and anyone that will listen. This company is a scam. If a person overpays, you shouldn't apply it to the principle and still charge late fees on top of what you've already paid !

The second nightmare, I overpaid by $200 bucks, I haven't been late or anything at this point! I paid the $600 and an extra $200 with another transaction. sand. claimed they haven't applied for payment because it was the 25th & (Thanksgiving was nxt day). I said okay, cool! Which they normally apply same day. Thursday comes by, ( normal business day) still haven't applied for payment. The weekend comes, Monday - Friday. Still haven't applied the $200. Start requesting supervisors, the supervisor said she would submit my account for review and payments should reflect to my account on the next business day. STILL NOTHING! Since I got money floating around and no one smart enough to apply it to the principle, I filed a charge back with my PayPal MasterCard for my $200 since they can't seem to locate the 200 or apply it to my account. I won the charge back after PP reviewed my account to see that the $200 was not applied, but also deducted from my funds. This total experience has been a total nightmare. Then they charge me with a return check fee, how convenience.

I was in a car accident in Jan 2018, which was not my fault. I ask for a 2 month deferment so that would give my lawyers time to get the matter resolved. I was told yes we can do that just call us before your next payment and we can give you a 2 month deferment, not a problem. Well when I called I was told my account was now on Non Collateral Status, and they could not change it back to give me the 2 months requested to get the legal matters resolved. They said their hands were tied, and there was nothing I could do. Now they are calling me for payment, DO NOT deal with this company the worst ever.

They do not provide services as promised, would not provide monthly statements, generate invalid charges and a very unprofessional and rude staff have no answers, I thought escalating my concerns to a supervisor would make things better but it was a complete waste of time.

Company employee provided me with incorrect information messing up my account. Now they are refusing to correct their mistake and keep calling me acting like its my fault. I was told they would file a complaint but never did (lied to again).

They lie, and STEAL from you!! I refinanced my vehicle in October 2017. The interest rate and payments that I was quoted were less than the current loan so I decided to make the switch. Once all was said and done my payments are now MORE than my original loan, they did NOT put GAP coverage on my vehicle (which I had with the original loan) and they told me in the beginning of November 2017 that it would take at least 1 billing cycle to set up the EFT payments. The end of November 2017 I posted a payment (a few days before the due date) and on the due date they drafted my bank account for the full payment. I went negative in the bank because of this and have been struggling to bring it back current ever since. I called and they stated that they could not refund a payment and that making a payment does not mean that the EFT for that month will be stopped..but that I would not have a payment due until January of 2018. On December 19, 2017 their records show that I stopped all EFT payments on my account. I paid the January 2018 payment with no issues. I just made my February payment on the 23rd (a few days before the due date) and on the due date they drafted my account for the full payment- WITHOUT MY CONSENT!! I called and was told that "There is no way for us to reverse the charges until BOTH payments go through your bank." I know this is not true, other companies are able to reverse the charges the same day. At this point I was negative again because of their UNETHICAL billing practices. I have since had to Stop Payment with my bank so that no payments would be taken at all from this company.

I wish I had NEVER decided to go with Santander. Total rip off!

I purchased a vehicle from Chrysler Capital in El Paso, TX 2015. There were times when money was tight. I'm disabled Veteran and my Spouse my caregiver. There were a few times late. When you pay the amount they say your late. Are you not paying towards the loan and the fees when you make a late payment? 2015 Dodge Dart $25,000 after all is said and done. The vehicles not even worth what you owe. We had several issues with blowing out two tires and Chrysler Capital had no issues with this as it's unsafe. We moved and in 2016 the vehicle was totaled out and I also had gap Insurance. Between the gap and what Geico gave them for the totaled out vehicle. I never received the money went directly to Chrysler Capital. I still owed $3000 or $4000, Because of late fees. The amount that they said I owed is the difference between what was given from insurance and the gap. They wanted the difference that both insurance didn't cover. It had nothing to do with me being late a few times. They are the worst company to work with and very crooked. I'm not the only one with this same complaint. I do not have this vehicle it was taken by the totaled out company, they used. I need this off my credit, because it's hurting my score. Cannot understand why they have to be so greedy and double dip. Isn't double dipping against the law?

Lease of a 2016 Ram Big Horn was turned in to the dealership on 10/05/2017 and was inspected by the dealer while I watched. After the inspection they informed me that a chip in the windshield was very close to the allowable damage allowed. After discussion with my salesman we decided that I should have the windshield replaced so I called my insurance company and had the windshield replaced to be on the safe side. My salesman informed me that I could still leave the vehicle at the dealership and drive off with my new lease of a 2017 Ram Big Horn and they would handle the replacement of the windshield. So I drove away in my new Ram as a happy guy. Then a couple weeks later I received the End of Term Final Bill with an outstanding balance of $774.00 and a final odometer reading of 23,045 and Inspection date of 10/10/2017. The Bill said the $774.00 was for -Exterior Damage. I was confused how that could of been when my vehicle was already inspected at the dealer so I called Chrysler Capitol and asked how this could be after my vehicle was already inspected and they told me that the dealership was not qualified to do the inspection and vehicle was inspected at dealership by them, so long story short I had to have the vehicle inspection report E-mailed to me so I could see what this damage could possibly be for. Once I looked at the vehicle inspection report I immediately noticed 3 huge factors for the credibility of the bill I received other then the fact that there was no damage when I turned it in. #1 The bill I received said the inspection was done on 10/10/2017 the inspection report said it was completed on 10/13/2017. #2 The bill I received said mileage when inspected was 23,045 the inspection report said odometer mileage was 23,133. #3 Was told on phone inspection was done at dealership in Bloomfield, MI the report said vehicle was inspected in Toledo, OH. Damage reported 2 dents on rear bumper. Picture of damage had no proof it was taken of my truck as there were many Rams in the lot. ETC.....
Account_Number: XXXXXXX

Desired Outcome

Billing Adjustment I would like the damage charges dropped as for all of the above reasons and looking more into the pictures I found a picture of a sandwich in the bed of the truck. I was lied to on paper about Inspection date and Mileage. I was lied to on the phone about the inspection location. This is absolutely ridiculous. I handed the keys to you on 10/05/2017 8 days and 88 miles later its dented and dirty and in another state and you ask me to pay for your mistakes.

RE: Revdex.com Case No.: XXXXXXXX
Chrysler Capital Account: ***

Dear Mr.:

We are in receipt of the complaint you filed with the Revdex.com (Revdex.com), regarding fees due on the above Chrysler Capital account. Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to address your concerns.

Our records show that the vehicle was grounded on October 10, 2017, as dealer buyout. An inspection was performed on October 13, 2017, in which $774.00 in excess wear and tear was assessed to the account, attributable to rear bumper multiples dents.

On December 11, 2017, the Office of the President reviewed your photos and waived $350.00 from the total of $774.00 which left a remaining balance of $424.00

After a thorough review of the account, we have elected to waive the remaining balance of wear and tear fees in the amount of $424.00. As of the date of this letter the balance of wear and tear is zero. The account now reflects a zero balance.

Thank you again for bringing this matter to our attention. If further assistance is needed or additional information can be provided regarding this matter, please contact us directly at X(XXX) XXX-XXXX.

Sincerely,

CHRYSLER CAPITAL
