Penguin Air & Plumbing has failed, or refused, to provide, after multiple requests to customer service representative(s) and the warranty manager, a sales invoice form containing an itemized cost break-down of parts, labor, refrigerant, etc., associated with an evaporative coil repair/replacement which occurred at my residence on

As a result of their complete lack of transparency, this has led me to believe they have overcharged and are unable to justify the $1,repair on a warrantied evaportaive coil I was charged for a hour job, yet, the repair technician completed the job in 1/hoursAll of the R410A refrigerant was evacuated and collected from my system prior to the installation of the new part, yet, I was charged for all "new" refrigerant
In the absence of the requested documentation I can only surmise the following; If the evaportative coil was under manufacturer warranty there would be no cost to me for the replacement, which leaves

I have been serviced by Penguin Air for many years , and have been pleased with the service up until now I received a call from a Penguin Air representative in April stating that my air conditioners required a tune-up, which is a part of the warranty contract I purchasedI set up the tufor Mon, May (2-p.m.)I received a call from the technician min prior to p.mstating that he was in Scottsdale and was en route to SurpriseUnfortunately, nobody showed upAt this point I contacted Penguin Air's answering service to cancel the request altogetherThe technician then called me a couple hours later stating that he would be available on Sat, May 21, in which I told him that I would get back with him after contacting the Penguin Air office the next day to officially schedule the tu
The next day (Tues, May 17) I contacted the office and mentioned that the technician was available on Saturday, but the representative stated that they do not do tune-ups on Saturday

I have used Penguin Air & Heating & Plumbing for a few years They kept my old A/C unit working until I needed a new one (was out on emergency basis) Then when my water heater blew up they were out immediately on a late Friday afternoon (Armando R***) and replaced it Penguin Air & Plumbing technicians always leave the area clean and take their trash and old units with them We never have to worry about discarding anything Their work is superb!! It's no fun when your A/C breaks down in Phoenix during mid-summer I called and the customer service was sympathetic and friendly They had a tech at my house in a matter of hours, and a fella named Leo V*** installed a whole new split system the next day - all by himself I was amazed...he was professional, efficient, knowledgable, and just as friendly as the Penguin on the other end of the phone when I called for help I don't like to have spend multi thousands of dollars on air conditioning but at least the people at this business are nice about it all And they should give Leo a raise - he even worked through a monsoon shower Thanks Penguin Air for your help

Purchased A/C unit and air scrubber 2/19/Shortly thereafter, an AC unit was installed, and we were told repeatedly an air scrubber had been installedOn Aug 5th, a service tech out for scheduled free maintenance check alerted that the air scrubber had never been installedHe said there was a UV light(bulb)He asked to see contract and saw an air scrubber had been purchasedHe quickly offered to discount the $price of the initial air scrubber and sell another one for over $incltaxHe would install it right awayI agreed to this over the phone as my son was the only one at the house, but feel I have been scammed in having been assured an air scrubber had been initially installed, having paid $for it and now having to pay over $to get it corrected when it was Penguin's error I feel a fair resolution would have been for Penguin to have simply installed what they had been initially paid to nstall (an air scrubber) without additional charges as it is
