9/28/I sure wish that I had read these reviews before I made the mistake of calling Penguin AirI have a two year old A/C unitThe condenser outside started making racket intermittently a couple of weeks agoWhen the technician came to the house naturally it wasn't making the noiseHe started checking the air handler inside and I told him that the A/C unit was working and giving me cold air, but I was concerned that the condenser would soon breakHe said that he wanted to do a "thorough inspection"So I let him do his thinghe finally did go outside for a short timeHe then gives me a diagnosis that this filter is dirty, and that capacitor is too small, ect,ectHe gives me an estimate of $and since I was leaving town the next day, I told him to go ahead as I didn't want to chance the A/C going out while I was gone since I have petsWhen I got back from my trip I turn down the A/C and hear the same noise from the condenserThis time I recorded the noiseWhen I called back, the same technician calls me and tells me that he can come out but the manufacturer wont replace the condenser "until it stops working" and that I would just have to live with the noiseIts so bad that the neighbors are complainingLong story short, I paid $for some "repairs" that weren't really needed since the A/C was blowing cold air before I called, and its in the same condition that it was before they came outDONT USE PENGUIN AIR
Zeb show up with in an hour, even though this I call for my neighbor he was professional and courtesy He explain everything to where my neighbor could understand and fix the issue in within an hour
Terrill J came and diagnosed the problem, fix it and took the extra steps to make sure it wouldn't happen again
Steve did a fantastic job getting everything fixed with our AC unit and thermostatDefinitely will be a repeat customer!
My two AC Units were serviced by Mathew N this week Mathew was very thorough in his review of my two unitsHe spent hours at my home looking at the units air as well as the heat pump Although he had a number of repair recommendations, listed out based on level of significance, this information was not, or could not, be provided to me in writing This company policy procedure is disappointing to me, since I pay for the annual maintenance review I feel the results of this review should be made available to me as well In spite of this negative policy, I believe Mathew Ndid a complete job in his overall review of my units
Great service Mike *** was very helpful with my grandmother’s house The guys were on time and cleaned up as they worked

Penguin Air & Plumbing fixed my air conditioning unit and also rewired damaged wireThey are very professional, knowledgeable and honest with their pricingThe tech Patrick Hdid a GREAT jobI am so glad I used them and I highly recommend this company
Great prompt and courteous serviceProfessional installers, very good about wearing booties when inside on carpet and drop cloths everywhere they were working kept my home cleanThey were very polite and knowledgeable when questions arose
Ralph Vfrom Penguin Air is an excellent technician He explained his work to us & was very personable He talked w/ us about needing to replace our unit in the future but thankfully did not pressure us!
I had a good experience with the plumber Michael SHe was prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and positively loves his job
Anthony and his trainee came out within an hour of my call Fixed our issue and provided a fair honest estimate for future work to be performed I would highly recommend!

Penguin Air came to our house back in May of when our old A/C unit stopped working properlyOf course, they claimed the old unit was bad, and needed to be replacedThey talked us into a high end unit saying that it would save us a lot of money on our monthly SRP bill and that it would keep our home much cooler in the summerNOT even two weeks later the BRAND NEW unit stopped workingWe called the tech back out and they find that it had failed and needed to be replacedHowever, they could not get the part to us for over a weekIN THE MIDDLE OF SUMMERThe customer service representatives were rude, telling my wife "what do you want me to do, drive to XXX and pick up the part myself?" Are you kidding me? Then they finally get it fixed and it works fine for a few monthsThe service rep comes back out yesterday for our annual maintenance check under the warranty and turns the unit on (because it has been off during winter) to find, once again it is not working! Apparently a fuse had blown and the thermostat was broken this timeFirst, he claims it isn't covered under the warranty, and he doesn't have the part, then he suddenly finds oneTHEN he tries talking me into spending MORE money with them to extend our warranty and gets AGGRESIVE and ANGRY towards me when I said no that I was not going to be sinking more money into a unit that continues to failI do not care that he thought he was giving me a great dealYour company sold me a unit that keeps breaking and I have not even had it a yearThis is ridiculous I DID NOT appreciate the representative being RUDE, and CONFRONTATIONAL in MY HOME
Larry has a wealth of experience and is very professional in his approach to his work I appreciate his timely response and accurate diagnosis with a repair according to what is needed
When I got home at p.mon Friday, my AC was out I called Penguin Air who dispatched Ralph V By a.m., my air was blowing cold again
There are so many issues that it is hard to choose one It crosses into many categories I do have a timeline that we have collected from the beginning of the process which I can include as an attachment if interested However, the main issue is that we have wasted countless hours waiting for repairs to be done and callbacks that were promised We've been promised checks for our flooring and new fans, yet because they forgot or couldn't get to us we haven't been able to work on getting together to finish repairs from the company that Penguin contracted withI've even sent the timeline to a Penguin manager and they promised they would discuss it with ownership and call us back, however we've had to initiate almost all of the contact
I have always had good tecks and service from penguin air and plumbing
