SAFE Security

I entered an agreement with Pinnacle Security Alarm Systems. I was informed that Pinnacle sold the account to Safe Security. During my service with Pinnacle I attained Month-to-Month status. It was my understanding that Pinnacle sold my service contract to SAFE Security. During my relationship with SAFE Security, they provided a service of monitoring my alarm system and I continued to pay for the monitoring services. Approximately November 2016, I received a phone call from a representative of SAFE security advising that the alarm system towers would not operate on 2G and that they were upgrading to 3G. The rep. quoted a fee for the part to be installed. I informed the Rep. that I was not willing to pay for a part to make my alarm system communicate and requested that my service be cancelled. The other option was to install the part without charge to me and we could continue our relationship. The representative never informed my that the procedure to cancel was only by written letter. Between the end of Dec. 2016 and beginning of Jan. 2017 may alarm panel indicated trouble I contacted the monitoring service and was informed that my alarm system was not communicating with the monitoring system. I had not received any contact from SAFE security. After a couple of Months I received a bill almost 200.00. I attempted to call on many separate occasions to a phone number that either placed you on hold for an extended period of time or it continued to ring. At around the 3 month mark a female Rep. SAFE Security, called and I briefed her on the above stated events; she said she understood and would look in to the matter. The SAFE Security female Rep. did not call again. I received a letter in the mail from SAFE Security dated *** attempting to upgrade my service from 2G to s higher band. I called the number listed on the letter and briefed the SAFE security representative on the above stated events and requested that the billing fees stop. I was transferred to a person who works for SAFE Security who informed me that she could reduce the fees to half amounting to approximately 150.00, if I continue my service with SAFE Security and allow an install. I agreed to allow the install but informed her I was not comfortable paying for a service that was not rendered. The Rep. said she was not allowed to reduce the fee any lower. I have called SAFE Security to resolve this matter and each time I am transferred to the section that believed I should pay them. I requested that SAFE Security send me a contract signed by me agreeing to their terms. Safe Security is unable to produce such document, instead sent me a copy of my agreement with Pinnacle Security Alarm Systems. On*** SAFE Security called again, Maria account manager called demanding payment, I informed her of the above mention facts, she stated ok I will write you in as a refusal. I called the main phone number listed on this report at being transferred three times I was reconnected to Maria. Please assist me in any way possible to resolve this matter. We had a representative from Safe Security stop by our house to offer us an upgrade on our alarm system. During this sales transaction Tyler*** stated that his company Safe Security agreed to pay for our remaining balance on our contract with North Star security if we allowed them to come in an upgrade our system and sign onto their network. He offered us the same deal for my Mother in law as well. We signed with Safe Security and did everything Tyler *** asked us to do. We notified North Star to get both our and my Mother in laws remaining balanced and submitted them to Safe Security. Safe Security never paid off the remaining balances to cancel either contract so for the last 2 months we have been paying fees to both North Star and Safe Security. Safe Security did not honor their word to pay off the remaining balances for both our and my Mother in Laws North Star account. Since they did not honor their end of the agreement we should be able to back out of this contract with no penalty fees.
