A friend recommended me Resume Genius, I didn’t bother exploring other websites since I saw how user friendly the builder isThis is my second months using the website and my family and I share the same account, how convenient!

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear belowThis business knows that it does not make the terms and conditions clear on the website, it's only in the receipt that they email that it's clear that you've 'subscribed' to a service. On the website it says 'get access for days', $1.99. I didn't read the receipt, why should I it was just acknowledging the $charge. On top of this their 'service' includes sending supposed jobs in your area related to your skill set. The bulk of the job listings are telemarketing and or out of date, there has been nothing related to my field
They have a great service for helping you to format your resume for $1.99, the rest is completely bogus and they know they are misleading

In all correspondence to date, Resume Genius has failed to acknowledge nor address any specifics of my inquiriesRather, in an inherently dismissive manner, they have only ever replied using a redundant, template response.The only argument and defense the company has ever made has been that once your subscription ends, they’re going to charge your credit card, and under no circumstances will they refund you.The issues at hand however, for which the company has not addressed, nor even so much as acknowledged, are as follows:I Within Terms of Service, under Refund Policy, company states “provides a full refund to customers who are still within their 14-day trial subscription term”IIWithin Terms of Service, there is no definition explicitly stating the definition of “14-day trial subscription term”III On the attached Plans and Pricing document, company states explicitly both “DAYS FULL ACCESS” and “After days”The expectation given her to consumers is that their trial periods will last for the entirety of this duration, and then auto-renew on the following day.IVMy subscription started on 10/12, and was cancelled on 10/Per points II & III, the expectation is that 10/is still within the trial subscription period, and would still qualify per the Refund Policy Terms.The stance that the company has taken is that the trial period ended at a specific time on 10/26, rather than lasting the entirety of the day, therefore despite cancelling on the 14th day, this is too late.To quote:“Our system is set up by the date and the time you paid for the DayTrial, so even if you're off by minute our system will still chargefor the whole month subscriptionThe system needs a set time to trackwhen the Day Trial subscription will end.”This stance, however, violates multiple Federal Trade Commission guidelines, specifically:I misrepresenting any product or service or the terms and conditions associated with any offer, specifically including claims of "free," "risk-free," or "trial offer;"IIfailing to clearly disclose the terms and conditions of any offer, including refund terms, before requesting consumers' payment information;There are numerous areas in which the terms are misrepresented, and consumers are left with the expectation that their trial will last the entirety of the expected calendar rangeNot only are consumers expressly mislead, but in no area, not even within the terms of service, is it disclosed that the trial period will end at a specific time within the 14th day.Consumers who use trial period offers have the expectation that they’ll be able to use those services for the entirety of the expected duration, as measured in calendar dates, and then make a decision to either renew or notIf they’re actually giving a service an earnest evaluation, there’s no reason for the consumer to cancel pre-maturely, which makes them all the more susceptible to these sorts of practices.This strategy is set up with the express intent of defrauding consumers by misleading them into believing their trial lasts the remainder of the 14th day, and then charging them regardlessThe fact that Resume Genius is so adamant about not issuing refunds is a testament to that, which is very surprising given that the product in question is a SaaS (Software as a service).If you think any of my points are unfair or incorrect, please, by all means address them and substantiate your arguments with actual language from the Terms of ServiceRegards,

For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.On March 25, 2015, I signed up for a free resume service from ResumeGenius.com by company RGO Technologies LLC only to find out approximately minutes later after building my resume that the free service is not at all freeI later found out that I had to provide my credit card information for a $14-day pro trial in order to download the resume to have it look the way I expected from their home page promoting the “free resume service” where download as a PDF is feasibleWith the need to print my customized resume as initially expected of the service, I had no choice but to pay the $1.95.Since the one-time use of the service, I later found out on April 11, that my credit card was charged $on April 8, by aforementioned providerWithout a sales receipt or notification from them on my end, I contacted their support team via email to express my dissatisfaction but my request for a refund was disapprovedSo much for their assurance of a “Try us out for days and if you aren’t satisfied, we’ll refund your money.” On the same day, I contacted my bank to dispute the charge and contacted the Revdex.com Delaware to lodge a complaint.When the business responded to my complaint to Revdex.com Delaware, they claimed that “When the customer subscribed to our Trial subscription, He/She accepted our terms of agreement which stated that they would be receiving our subscription services and that the Trial would auto-renew into a Monthly subscription on a specific dateOur services are not a one time purchase, but an ongoing subscriptionThey had the option to cancel at any time during theday trial period to prevent the auto-renewal and in order to avoid future charges.” It is unfortunate that the aforementioned provider does not stay true to its statement “Try us out for days and if you aren’t satisfied, we’ll refund your money” present on their sign up page as I had literally used the service for less than a day.This incident has caused me enormous emotional distressI am disappointed because I was duped into believing service provided is free only to be further deceived into a money-making scheme with advertising where free refund policy applies only to the 14-day trialFor example, the “After days, auto-renews $per month” present on the sign up page, has no indication of a no-refund policyIn addition, the lack of a no-refund policy on the terms of use page and order summary page is a misrepresentation of the service I was promoted withThere is clearly an absence of a no-refund policy published at the time of purchase and it would be unfair for me to have $deducted from my bank account for a service I have not use since the one-time access.To resolve the problem, I would appreciate if RGO Technologies LLC provides a refund of $for an unsolicited charge on my credit cardEnclosed are copies of my records documented for this issue.I look forward to your reply and a resolution to my problem, and will wait until business days before seeking help from the Fraud and Consumer Protection Division in the State of Delaware and the Federal Trade CommissionPlease contact me at the above address or by phone at *** *** *** or by email at ***
