On behalf of the consumer, and as a courtesy,
Priceline contacted Economy Rent-A-Car concerning the consumer’s claims.
Economy
Rent-A-Car informed priceline that the consumer purchased liability coverage at
the rental counter, which does not duplicate the CDW insurance originally
purchased. The Collision Damage Insurance purchase by the consumer was indeed
accepted by the rental partner for the consumer’s reservation.
The Bureau/Consumer must contact Economy Rent-A-Car directly at [redacted]
for any further assistance related to the consumer’s insurance purchase or claims
made by the consumer concerning information provided by Economy Rent-A-Car
representatives at the rental car counter.
We suggest
that the consumer contact the
credit/debit card issuing bank for any further assistance related to the refund
that was issued on March 27, 2014.

I am rejecting this response because: despite their inability to provide a refund, they are still guilty of bait and switch. Their claim that information about "city" rental is on the "About Airport Rental Cars" while true is misleading. They should be required to list that caveat on EVERY webpage and PRIOR to making a purchase. They should be required to say at point of purchase, "The buyer acknowledges that the car rental represents the nearest possible rental location, but does not guarantee that the rental office is at the airport." Or to that effect.

I am rejecting this response because: We are not satisfied with the hotel assigned to us based on poor reviews, complaints, and pictures of the hotel. We are not asking for a refund, just a transfer to an acceptable hotel. Based on the reviews and pictures this hotel has very thin walls making sleep difficult due to noise, intermittent heating, A/C and hot water, rude staff, small dirty rooms, uncomfortabel beds, etc. We feel that priceline is not keeping their end of the bargain to privide a comfortable lodgining in exchange for our hard earned money, and is being inflexible in helping to resolve the situation.
