Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: Priceline did not address the core issue of my complaint. I was told repeatedly by Priceline agents that Priceline was not the party to cancel the return leg of my ticket, when apparently they were the party charged with that task according to US Airways and eventually Priceline agent [redacted], I.d. 6z. Moreover, [redacted] also told me to call Priceline to cancel before my insurance claim could be filed. Additionally, I want to know why most Priceline agents told me during my repeated calls, I was being transferred to a supervisor when that was not the fact. [redacted] explained Priceline protocal in that regard, but never answered why I was told I was transferred to a supervisor.
Stated differently and until a satisfactory explanation is offered, it seems false statements of fact were deliberately offered several times on two matters: 1. Priceline told me repeatedly, US Airways was responsible for canceling my return ticket. 2. I was being transferred to a supervisor when I was not.
Nowhere in Priceline's [redacted]' first response did she deny any of the two above complaints concerning apparent false statements made by Priceline agents. To me, that is significant. Ms. [redacted] vague and deflective remarks "When you called US Airways, they advised you to call Priceline", begs the question why did I call US Airways when my first call was to Priceline. I will answer that question; because Priceline told me I had to.
My reason for traveling to Arizona was to aid my 90 year old father during the process of an involved surgery. I was aware that his circumstance could become quite fluid and it has. None of this is fun and I still don't know when I can return. I bought "trip insurance" to guard against unforeseen changes to my return itinerary. To file a claim, according to [redacted], the insurer, I would first need to cancel my return itinerary. When Priceline consistently told me they could not cancel, it seems they were trying to block my ability to make a claim. This process may involve details I have no means to understand unless an in depth investigation is made or Priceline clearly explains what is going on. In any event this affair is way more stressful than what I bargained for. I bought trip insurance as part of my ticket contract with Priceline. My part of the bargained for exchange was to pay. I paid. Priceline's part is to provide tickets to fly including an insurance policy that will pay according to its terms.
I wonder if [redacted] is a subsidiary of Priceline. Below is a portion of the policy guarantee on the Priceline website where I purchased my ticket.
Post-Departure Trip InterruptionThe Insurer will pay a Post-Departure Trip Interruption Benefit, up to the amount in the Schedule, if due to your, an Immediate Family Member’s, Traveling Companion’s or Business Partner’s Sickness, Injury or death or Other Covered Events as defined: 1) your arrival on your Covered Trip is delayed; or 2) you are unable to continue on your Covered Trip after you have departed on your Covered Trip. the additional transportation expenses incurred by you by the most direct route to reach your original Covered Trip destination if you are delayed and leave after the Scheduled Travel Date.

Ms. Betts, thank you for your continued interest in my Revdex.com complaint against Priceline's conduct. I stand ready to answer any question or provide any information I can provide. Again, thank you.
Sincerely,

You all are practically stealing money from the consumers and piggybacking off of profits. I want to see where in your terms and conditions that it is a legitimate ethical practice within your organization that if an exception is made on a customer return that you retain 50% of the customers purchase. Knowing that you are not losing any monies, you resell the same goods for someone else to purchase. If this is your legitimate practice, I would like to see it in writing... verbatim.

Dear Mr. [redacted] Thank you for taking the time to contact us regarding your rental car reservation with Alamo Rent a Car for Trip Numb[redacted]. I am writing to let you know that we have received your Revdex.com concern in our Executive...
Offices. We understand that you have issues with this rental car reservation. We apologize for the confusion. Our records show that the total cost of the Collision Damage Insurance that you have purchased on this reservation was in $55.00 at $11.00 per day. Therefore, we have only issued a refund for $55.00 today, September 27, 2016. Please contact your bank if the refund is not posted on your account within a few days. I hope you find my reply helpful and we thank you for your time. Sincerely, [redacted] Executive Offices

We
have received the consumer’s additional comments. As you requested, we have again reviewed this
matter to see if we overlooked anything that might support a more favorable
conclusion.
According to the consumer,
“The contract page shown here does not match the contract page that
appeared on my computer. The contract page I received read "If you can
depart on Wednesday April 9th.....", it made no reference to the return
date at all. Additionally, TL is not my initials. I suspect their has been some
sort of a system glitch involved here.”
In order to review the consumer’s
claim we ask that the consumer provide the 11 digit priceline request number for
the referenced contract page indicating “no reference to the return date at all.”
All contract
pages indicate a departure and return date for round trip ticket purchases. Furthermore,
consumers clearly have the option to initial the contract page in any manner
they wish.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because this is not in any way an actual resolution. All that their message says is that they have escalated the claim. And that they will refund the additional (unauthorized) charge and the original refund amount.
Yesterday I received the same email from [redacted]. To which I replied,
"[redacted],
I had initally called to inquire about the 80.26 charge posted to my credit card on Oct 27 on Oct 28th. I was told at the time that someone would be back in touch within 3 business days. I was in fact not contacted within 3 business days, so Friday Oct 31 I called back to inquire and also complain about the fact that this is a very serious matter, and has been going on for quite some time. I expected to be contacted within 3 business days. Furthermore, how does it come to be that my card was charged the 80.26 anyways? How does a refund turn into another charge?! And beyond that, how does it take 3-4 refunds to correctly return all the money you have unlawfully taken from me?
This is very concerning to a consumer. And your inability to properly handle the situation on ALL levels is very frustrating. Please explain how it came to be that the $80.26 charge occurred.
Not only did Priceline.com ruin my vacation in August of this year, but more than two months later you're still causing me grief, stress, and anxiety and illegally charging my credit card.
I do expect to be compensated for all of that as detailed in my Revdex.com complaint.
Regards,
[redacted]
So far I have not been give any explaniation as to HOW to came to be that a refund of $223 turns into a charge of $80.26. They have not taken any steps yet to explain what happened and how they intend to prevent this from happening again to another poor consumer. Furthermore, I initally contacted the 1-800 call centre to inquire how the charge of $80.26 came to be on October 28th. I was told at that time that it would be 2-3 business days before I would hear back, but that this matter was of priority. Sadly, on the evening of Oct 31st (after the 3 business days window had expired) I called back to inquire further. They had at that point initiated refunds, but again sno one had called or emailed me to notify me that anything was being done. VERY disappointing that even when it's a worst-case scenario, the customer still doesn't come first to this company.
As [redacted] stated, they have apparently made the refunds (IN 4 SEPARATE TRANSACTIONS) to right their immensely gross errors. Even when it comes to damage control they still can't get it right.
I have now spent numerous hours dealing with this issue (that shouldn't have even BEEN an issue). I have spent a lot of my free time on the phone, writing emails, and stressing over this. This all stemmed from a vacation that was taken Aug 24-27 2014, which Priceline.com ruined. Still to this day they are ruining each day, and I do expect to be compensated for all of it. I shouldn't have been subjected to the fraudulent charges, lack of communication, lack of explanation as to WHAT occurred, over-limit charges on my credit card (their fraudlent charge pushed my card over it's available credit limit), long distance charges trying to get out of a hellish hotel that they call a 3* (a rooming brothel/hostel at best), and daily anxienty of what will come next, another fraudlent charge? I just want to be done with this. I will at this point never be using Priceline.com again as it is clear that they don't give a rat's behind about the consumer.
As a bureau that offers Priceline.com a A+ rating, I would highly suggest you look at this more closely, as in this case particularly, the response received is not one of explanation, reason, nor compassion.
Sincerely,
[redacted]

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
Sincerely,
[redacted]
I wanted to leave from West Palm Beach Airport on July 2, 2014 from a medical emergency; my daughter had a heart attack. I contacted Priceline and they could not get me the price I wanted at West Palm Beach. I inserted I wanted to travel for $150 roundtrip from West Palm Beach to Phoenix. Prices came up too high. I put in Fort Lauderdale at $150 (100 Miles form my home) at $150, figuring I could get a cab for $100.00 which would met my financial goal. I am 82 and can only spend a certain amount of money. When I hit the button at thed $150 price at Fort Lauderdale, the price on the computer came up with a flight for $372.35 from Fort Lauderdale to Phoenix. This is how Priceline manuevers a traveler into a high price at an undesirable airport. If I had traveled from Fort Lauderdeale at $150, I could have been able to afford a cab. But the deceitful part of Priceline is one punches in a price of $150 and Priceline comes up with double the price at an airport I did not want to travel from and would never have been able to afford a cab. When I called and complained about this exorbitant price at an Airport I did not want at that price, Priceline made deductions from the $372.35 price and would not fully reimbuse me. Priceline gave me a credit of $200 which forced me to use Priceline again although I wanted to go to another company. Again the same thing happened. I was given Fort Lauderdale Airport on second go around for $371.04. They used the same tactics. One puts in the price one wants and Priceline comes up with an exorbitant price. I complained profusely. Priceline has reimbursed me $371.04 for second error. But I want to be reimbursed for first trip for $372.35. Priceline made deductions from my payment of $372.35 when it is their deceitful method of making airline flights. Priceline is running a Ponzi scheme and stealing form people who make airline flights. They tell you to put in your price, and then come up with a double price at an airport far from one's home. then they make deductions from a flight you have cancelled due to their exorbitant and deceitful tactics. Priceline is a deceptive, deceitful, disingenuous, fraudulent, underhanded, untruthful company that collects fees when people are assigned to airports at double the price.
I am traveling on a medical emergency and need the lowest price possible for the trip from West Palm Beach to Phoenix. I do not intend to be ripped off. I want all my money returned to me from their deductions and want to be reimbursed $1000 for being pushed around, which caused my high blood pressure to rise, my heart to beat continuously. I am under a lot of stress for my daughter's heart attack. I do not need any more stress from a corrupt company as PRICELINE. I have already reported them to the Federal Trade Commission and intend to put them on FACEBOOK for their fraudulent practiceS. I also intend to report them to the Attorney General of Connecticut. Companies as Priceline should be out of business. No fraudulent company deserves to be in business and treat customers by deducting fees for their mistakes. No one should ever use PRICELINE.

Dear Ms. [redacted],
face="Calibri">
Thank you for taking the time to contact us regarding your reservation at The [redacted] Resort At [redacted] for Trip Number [redacted].
I am writing to let you know that we received your Revdex.com concern in our Executive Offices. As I understand, you found a lower rate on our site for the exact same itinerary you purchased and wanted a refund of the difference per our Best Price Guarantee. We are sorry that we cannot process a refund for you, at this time, per our Best Price Guarantee policy. The current nightly rate for the hotel you received is higher than what you have with your reservation.
Our system calculates that you saved $158.00 or 34.50% based on the lowest published rate available at the time of booking. You would not have received these savings had you booked your reservation through the hotel or on another website. However, should you find online a lower rate for the exact same dates and hotel you have, please contact our Customer Service and provide them information of where you saw the lower price. With Express Deals or Name Your Own Price you have up until midnight, the day before you travel, to contact us and avail of our Best Price Guarantee.
For more details of the guarantee, please follow this link: [redacted].
We are sorry we did not provide you the answers you were looking for and we thank you for your time.
Sincerely,

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:I maintain that this contract was deceptive and unethical, but I will pay the amount listed to avoid having to experience any more of the worst customer service I've ever had through Priceline. I ask that the Revdex.com make a record of this complaint in hopes that if enough people complain, Priceline will lose its accreditation and suffer a slow and painful descent into bankruptcy.
Sincerely,
[redacted]
Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:
The rental car company kept all the paperwork that we had when we turned the car in. The agreement was made through Priceline. The only thing we have is the original agreement. There are credit card charges, but [redacted] should also have those.
Sincerely,
