I wanted to provide a follow up to my complaint This evening when I came home there was a chat window from someone named "***" from Priceline.com The chat window was inadvertently closed prematurely and I was unable to read the entirety of the message I contacted Priceline.com to ask if the message could be sent to me so I could read it The operator I spoke with began to tell me that *** *** (my husband) is the listed driver on the rental I confirmed that I am aware of this and that I am not sure how that happened but I believe because I used my husband's credit card for the transaction his name was listed as the primary driver I further stated that I would not have listed my husband as the driver because I knew at the time of my reservation that my husband would not be travelling with me As with every other phone conversation with the company there is no discussion about how my husband's name would have appeared as the primary driver The operator stated that "there was no way to send the chat conversation." I asked if the message could be read to me and after waiting for the operator to verify if the message could be read to me I was informed that I could only be provided a summary of the chat The summary stated that Priceline.com could not change the name on the reservation that I have.? It seems that Priceline.com skirts the issue about how my husband's name showed up on the listed driver section As if their business practices were not already suspect this further drives the point that something is amissOf note, yesterday, when I went to Priceline.com to check the website procedures of how a reservation would be made I was able to make a reservation without paying for a vehicle If this is the practice, I cannot fathom how I ended up paying for a rental Given this finding, I am left to believe that I was taken advantage of I did cancel the reservation that I made when researching the procedures for making a reservation with Priceline.com. A confirmation email was sent to my email confirming the cancellationAs originally stated, I want the amount of the rental price ($89.10) to be refunded to the credit card that was used to reserve the rental vehicle for the reasons listed in the complaint as well as the poor business practices that I continue to experience ? I did find insurance on *** which more than double what I would have paid with youOne of the main reasons I wrote to the Revdex.com was not the fact that I couldn't get the insuranceIt was the way your team handled the situationIf you review the phone records I was argued with by several different reps one who kept insisting that I was wrongWhile I was on the phone with him I went to the app and tried to make several different reservations without actually booking them to make sure that the insurance was not offered to me as it was not when I made my booking on the appThere was no option for the insurance during any of those sessions on the app, but if I went to the website either on my phone or computer it was clearly an option on the exact same bookingsI did not appreciate the fact that I was looking at the screen in front of me and he was telling me that insurance is always offered when it was notI asked you to do a simple thing and add the insurance for me to protect my nonrefundable trip in case of incident but you could not do this for meI was never offered insurance on the app and this was a problem since these types of booking should always be given the option to buy insurance to protect the consumer in the event of incident if they so desire.
