Terrible customer service and seller: I bought a jacket that was advertised as genuine leather (by seller kschmit1)One week after receiving it, I realized it was polyurethane and sent a picture of the tag to the seller and poshmarkThey both reported that it was past the three day "sale close" period and would not return/refundFraud

I ordered from Poshmark on 9-6-18, as of today (9-17-18) I have not rec'd my item and my credit card was charged Today I cancelled This is a terrible website, and I do not recommend ordering from them

I am a little torn with this siteIn the beginning, I felt this was such a great idea and felt I was having success selling lightly used clothes/accessories that I no longer wantedNow, I'm no full time sellerI have only made about $total and sold or items, but here is my experience so far***I have had one return on a pair of boots and I take full responsibility for the mistake I had madeNot sure how it happened, but I had given wrong sizing on the post and never noticedThe boots where sent back just as they where sent to them and all was goodOverall, not an unreasonable experience.***
#####-I have recently experienced an issue with a buyer that I find to be a bit frustratingI sold a XL Hurley jacket to a women who only paid $(making my actual earnings $and her total payment around $with shipping) She received the item and gave a review of She CLAIMS that there is no way the jacket is a size XL and that it must be sized in Juniors sizingIn the review, she mentions that it doesn't even zip (1-its a button up jacket) and there is no way it will closeClaimed she had plenty of Hurley jackets in a size medium, they all fit perfectlyAt this point I have come to the conclusion that she is a bigger size womanI wear a size small/medium in WOMENS and the jacket was drowning me before I sold itI thought that if she felt strongly enough she could file a claim and Poshmark would be our bufferIt was not in junior sizing so there was no reason for me to apologize and reach out to herShe never filed a claimIt came to the point were payment had been processed and was deposited into my bank accountI'm assuming she noticed as well when that happened because she decided to copy and paste the review under the sold jackets posting the same day########
Here is my theory with this, I believe that she may not fit the jacket like she wanted tooIt may not be the right color or the right materialShe asked no questions before purchasingThe jacket was perfect and just as describedSHE HAD NO CASESo if she were to file, I believe, that she felt she would not win and had to amount to other termsBy reaching out to me I think she expects a seller approved return because of her dissatisfactionNow, if she does REALLY believe that this is sized in juniors, she still has no proof for her case so that may be why she hasn't filed eitherI have not shopped junior sizing since I was I do not have proof of that either since I purchased this jacket too big and that was over a year agoSo looks like we are both out of luck#####
I really do not want to rip people off and I am more than willing to correct my mistakes, but if you purchase something at your own discretion from a USED clothing site, do your researchBUYERS: Need to be active in there purchasesBe aware of what you're risking buying USED itemsNot everyone in this world is honest and thoroughAsk a lot of questions before purchasingConfirm things in the comments and screen shot so that if something is not as it seems, you have a caseASK ASK ASKIm sorry, but its not just a sellers responsibility to make sure you are satisfied with what you're purchasingTake some action and get all of the infoSELLERS: decide if its worth itPoshmark takes effort and time to really get those salesAccuracy and honesty is the most guarantee you can have on this site and even then its not always enough to satisfy a customerI suggest taking pictures of the items BEFORE sending and using them for a case if the item is returned and damaged(This has yet to happen to me, but found it to be common in the reviews) Make sure to time stamp itBe as thorough in descriptions as possible and remember it is not your responsibility to clarify if the customer has not asked the questionsSite reference is always your BEST betIf you can reference an item from the brand and site it came from, that is all the proof you needGrow up people and take responsibilityBe honest as a seller and be skeptical as a buyerI have made money on clothes that I would have otherwise thrown out after collecting dust in my closetI appreciate that about Poshmark, but there are some flaws and Poshmark should be more active in there buyer/seller relationships when things go crazyThere needs to be proof of seller before sending items so that sellers can be protected from buyers who destroy things because of there remorseSellers should be able to ask as many questions as needed and expect honest answersHigher priced items should NEED proof of purchase so that no one is a victim to price mark ups or fakesSo many things should be improved and the best they got is an "automatic price drop tap"As a customer: I have yet to purchase something, but have had my own experiences with buyers and have a little adviceReally ask the questionsThis is a majority USED clothing site and these things are not discounted because they are brand newI have loved when buyers ask questions because that saves me from a return and them from disappointmentI as a buyer have had lacking descriptions on my items and questions work to clear that upThis is no different than buying from a community page through facebook or a yard sale siteOnly thing that really benefits you here is your safety and guidelines given to youThere is rules and from what I understand they work to really keep the buyers happyNow as a buyer, if you are loyal, thorough, and honest you will also find the same in the sellers you purchase fromIf you lie, cheat, or disobey the system than I guarantee you will be reported, harassed, and possibly suspended from the siteI do not support harassment, but I have seen it happen to othersThis is a community of sellers and some don't take fraud lightlyAs a seller: I have yet to have any issues with scammingI did have someone recently purchase and item on the higher $$$ side and I was worried because the user had previously signed up that morning and purchased my item an hour later with no offers or questionsI was skeptical but everything went perfectlyJust remember that your items are not only on Poshmark, but can be viewed through googleI have had a return and it was by my mistake of mislabeling the listingNo issues there and we where both left happyI did have an experience with a customer who felt I had lied about the size of an itemShe felt it was sized in juniors sizing and left a low review despite the quality of the jacket and being as describedI knew that this was not junior sizing and although I was sympathetic, I did not owe her for her opinionShe later left a review on the direct post and I continued to ignore the commentsShe was very harsh and was not constructiveShe could have filed a return, but I think we both knew that the jacket was labeled as described and if she had done her research she would have found out that the jacket is not in junior sizingI later found that she was trying to sell the same jacket for twice what she paid and had it labeled as XLnot junior xlSo I believe she came to the correct conclusionThis site is a riskIts a also a gameYou have to put in the work and be willing to work with others to get items soldI do not do this as a businessIts just a way to make a few dollars off of lightly used items I no longer wantI have yet to experience a scam, but the second I do I will remove my closet from the siteI have seen enough reviews and horror stories to know that this site is not perfectBewareI wouldn't sell high priced items, I wouldn't sell outside of the site to a customer, and I also wouldn't purchase there boutique clothingIt is way overpriced for how not worth it majority of it is

This company allowed a seller on their site to sell me a flawed product
The seller listed an item as in perfect condition, with no flaws
Believing this to be true, I purchased the item in a bundle with another item (two separate items)
The second item was new, and I removed the tags after receiving it
I then tried on the first item (which was used), and realized it had a stain on it that was not mentioned by the seller
I put in a complaint, and the company automatically issued me a refund, which I did not request
They allowed the seller to lie without reprimand, stating that she sent out a flawless garment, where it was indeed stained (picture submitted with the complaint)
I told the company I wasn't interested in a refund, as I was happy with the second item, and had removed the tags
They then cancelled the refund, but did not refund me or credit me for the flawed item
The company then offered me ten dollars credit for the 40-dollar item
I am now stuck with a shirt

Too many sellers put items on the site then NEVER respond to offers or buy now Not reliable....very questionable in my opinion....use at own risk!!!!!

My daughter sold clothes on PoshmarkShe mailed them and confirmed the buyers received themShe requested a check from Poshmark in MarchWhen it didn't arrive she emailed themThey said it must be lost in the mail and they would resendWe have been through this times where they say it must be lost in the mailMy daughter still doesn't have her moneyThe company has no live person for customer serviceOnly an answering machine and an email

I shipped a authentic Louis Vuitton bag to poshmark to verify then to ship to buyer ***I shipped it days ago on 3-1-and have never heard back except Poshmark stated they received and then no communicationI have called both numbers, *** *** *** *** with no answer and no capability to take a voicemail, I have emailed 2x a day to poshmark.com with no answer, I faxed a letter asking them to contact me at *** on 3-6-and it went thru but no answerHas this been stolen-

I had a David Yurmam Blue Topaz pendant that I listed on PoshmarkA buyer purchased the pendant on the appI put the pendant in the official David Yurman jewelry pouch that it came in, placed the pouch in a white jewelry box and tied it with pink ribbonThen I took the box to a *** and gave them the Poshmark prepaid shipping label and they gave me the correct shipping cardboard boxI shipped the pendantThe buyer received the package and had days to accept itWithin the last hour of the third day, the buyer submitted photos and a complaint saying the pendant was damagedI asked to see the photos the buyer submittedThe photos did not match what I sentFirst, the my claimed that I just tossed the pendant alone in a cheap broken boxThe jewelry pouch was not in the photosThe eye of the pendant was twisted and the back and sides scratched upThe day before I accepted the buyer's offer I took the pendant to a local consignment store and they offered $** less than the Poshma

Poshmark claims to have zero tolerance when it comes to sales of counterfeit itemsHowever, their practice is the exact oppositeAll other resale apps either authenticate listings up front, authenticate all sales in-house before distributing to buyer, or respond to reports of counterfeit listings in a timely manner so that 1) sellers of authentic items don't experience downward pricing pressure and/or waning buyer optimism 2) illegal sales aren't conducted through platform 3) buyers don't acquire counterfeit items illegally to resale again
Poshmark doesn't actually enforce these guidelinesThey utilize an automated reporting feature that only kicks in when sufficient number threshold of distinct users report a listing, which often occurs after a listing has already soldRepeat offenders take advantage of these loopholes to make as many sales as possible before any actions are taken against them, if ever at allThere are numerous flagrant violations on a daily basis--some more deceptive in their tactics while others blatantly display violations of trademark/copyright laws in the absence of enforcementPoshmark always keeps their 20% commission of each sale through their app, even if they eventually remove the violation listing after the saleIt's within their financial interests to continue to look the other way on thousands of Illegal sales each day while sacrificing the prices of the legitimate sales competing in a market drowning with counterfeitsIt provides them an illegal advantage over their competitors that DO enforce trademark/copyright infringements

I posted an authentic Chloe purse for sale on the poshmark site and because of the price the purse sold for, it was sent to a Post Concierge to verify authenticityFor whatever reason, they incorrectly deemed my item as not authentic and told me if I wanted my purse back I had to send them $to have it returned to meI mailed a money order for $and followed up with an email to confirm that the money order had been sentIt has been nearly three weeks and I still do not have my purse nor have I received any replies to the multiple emails I have sent the companyIt is my opinion that they have stolen my $purse

Bought a pair of shoes as the pictures that were provided you could not tell they were made with fake fur and patches of the fake fur was sticking up so I put in a request for refund it took them days to go over the case and they sent a email saying it was denied and the it changed to delivered contacted by email and haven't heard anything I have sent a lot of emails and no replies very unhappy

I sold a designers item on the poshmarkThe poshmark sent me the shipping label with the wrong addressI mailed the item with the provided by poshmark label to a wrong personAs a result I didn't have paid and don't have my itemI was trying to contact poshmark's customer service for more than a week but they just ignore me

Poshmark sends gimmicky offers of free or discounted shippingAfter you complete your purchase, you find that your purchase did not meet specific criteria that may OR MAY NOT have been listed in the offer you were emailedOne time, when my purchase price was $**, I did not receive free shipping as advertisedTheir response was "Thanks for your emailWe apologize for the confusion, however the notification for the shipping promotion stated, "Orders placed through Make An Offer qualify when the initial offer is $** or more." We hope this clears things up." Apparently my initial offer should have been $**This is misleading and gimmickyI made a $** offer for the purpose of getting free shippingI have contacted the company, with the only resolve being the response aboveShipping should have been $***, not $***On another purchase, I was offered free shipping on an item if it was purchased within an hourI purchased it in a bundle, which offers further discount(This was NOT

I am a seller on PoshmarkI sold am item to a customerAll items were packaged and sent to the customerDuring shipment, USPS damaged the package and lay some of the items during transitThe customer filed a claim once they received the items, understandably soPoshmark accepted the claim and notified me that they were going to react my earnings and refund the customer solely due to the fact that the sale of skincare is not "supported" by PoshmarkI checked their website BEFORE I made posts top sale my items (which are all skincare)No where on the site does it state that the sale of skincare is prohibited nor unsupportedHad I known, I would have chosen a different site to sell my itemsSince their entire reason provided for retracting my earnings is based on something not listed on their site, I should be given my earnings and their site needs to be updated

I made a purchase on the site POSHMARK*** on May 9, The purchase was for a Betsey *** Ice cream wristletThe seller never described any damages to the bagThe sellers uploaded her photos of the item where the photo of the damage would not immediately be seen upon glancing at her listingI received the item by mail May 11, I opened the box and it was a huge tear going across one sideNone of the sellers photos showed damage to this extentI immediately requested a refund with the company Poshmark afterwards on May 11thThe seller responded to my complaint times in an abusive mannerI received a response from POSHMARK ..Saturday 5/stating that I cannot have a refund because the seller described the itemThis is a blatant lie and I took pictures of the sellers page and our entire conversation where the seller herself states that the bag is more damaged than her photo she uploaded and that it must have been damaged via shipping

I made an order on 5/18/**Never received a confirmation by 5/30/** that my item had been delivered but the site took the money out of my account on 5/19/**I have not received a refund as of 6/2/**The amount of purchase was $

As mentioned previously and stated within our policy, a user has three days from date of delivery to report an "item not as described." Unfortunately as a formal return case was not filed, the funds were released to the seller automatically by our systemAdditionally, when a user receives an item, they are asked to inspect and report any issuesThe user did not report any issues with the order, until after the funds were releasedAs a courtesy we have provided $in Posh CreditFor this reason, we consider the case closed

Customer service never answered my complaint that was filed initially a month ago to redeem the money they claimed was “completed” but never actually deposited into my accountI believe this company is fradulent and unprofessional

The seller's case has been escalated to a Poshmark Manager and a Manager will be in contact with her soon

I purchased a pair of boots from Poshmark that were advertised as size 1/and fitting as averageWhen I received the product, the boots were too narrow and my foot would not fit in at allI regularly wear this size, probably for the last years, and I know that an average size 1/fitsI tried to return the product and I was told that "fit issue was not a valid reason for return"I argued that just because it was labeled as 1/does not mean it actually is, and if it is, depending on where they were manufactured, might not fit the sameI also noted that the seller specified that they were of average fit, which misleads a person to believe that they are just regular size, not narrow or wideThey said that was not a reason and suggested I sell forward, using their website of course, or donate the productIt seems this company has a reputation for burning customers, as well as some of their own sellers from what I have come acrossI would like to be able to return the pro
