Review: PNC Bank Closing My Account Without Reasoning . I Had found out my account was pending closure when I recently called because I haven't received my new card with the safety chip and she asked if I was aware if my account was pending closing and I said No then asked Why It Was Being Closed & The customer representative Said I would Have to go into nearest branch for more Information. Now When I went into branch and spoke with a customer representative all He Told Me Was That I Should Have Received a closure Letter Which I haven't and the it looks like PNC Is Done Business With You.Basically They Close My Account Without letting me know if I hadn't called I would Have never fond out.On April 27th 2015 ([redacted]) I Went To make A Prepaid Load of $310.00 @ The PNC ATM which was accepted and on the screen it showed 15x20 (15 , $20 dollar Bills) and 1x10(1, 10 Bills) but after the transaction was finished it said "TRANSACTION SELECTED CANNOT BE PROCESSED. PLEASE CONTACT YOUR FINANCIAL INSTITUTION"N it showed my balance of only $12.17 So I immediately contacted customer service to figure out what happened of this issue Now I'm Awaiting For Them to contact me of resolutionDesired Settlement: I would Like My Account To Stay Open/Be reopen and To Be Refunded of the $300.00 That Was Deposited Into The ATM but Wasn't Applied To My Account nor returned.

Review: On Friday September 18, 2015 I paid my car insurance to [redacted] Auto through PNC bank online bill pay system. My auto insurance bill of $197.00 was due on 9-24-15. My payment scheduled thru PNC was for 9-22-15(I have PNC’s receipts showing this date)

on 9-25-15 I received a notification from [redacted] stating that my car insurance was cancelled due to non-payment. On 9-28-15 I spoke with Mr. James C[redacted], a PNC online banking rep who told me that my payment was not sent out via electronic file as it was guaranteed, but rather it was mailed on 9-21-15.(My guarantee bill pay date was for

9-22-15) I didn’t receive any notifications from PNC stating that a paper check was being issued, instead of the E-pay system that I had originally signed up for. On 9-25-15 my insurance was canceled. Per Mr. C[redacted] “I must have owed a balanced, for [redacted] to have cancelled my insurance.” I now have to pay a $150.00 uninsured motorist fine, I have to pay to renew my [redacted] policy and due to this “lapse of insurance” my premium will increase. I was put through to a voicemail for a Mr. [redacted] who went on vacation returning on 9/16/15 per his voicemail, today is 9/28/15. All I have gotten from PNC was the run around rude customer service reps.Desired Settlement: I would like a completed refund of my $197 and for PNC to pay for my insurance lapse.

Review: I am sending this email due to an issue I am having with our local PNC bank in [redacted] . My husband and I are new to PNC bank and we are already regretting this decision. Saturday, my son and I went to the bank to withdraw some money, my husband had a live check this past week. He deposited the check at 3:18pm. We had no reason to even think our money would not be available until Tuesday.. four days later. Going back to Saturday , my son and I went through the drive through Saturday morning at 8:30am. We had sent up a check to get cash out of our account, the tellers name was [redacted]. She went ahead and gave us our cash, asked if my little boy would like a sucker and sent it all down to us. When we were getting ready to drive away, she said [redacted], I just want to let you know you will get an overdraft fee, I was beyond dumbfounded, and asked why. She said that they have a system update going on, but as of next Thursday this will not be a problem well Friday night I had already paid some bills through our internet accounts and Im finding out Saturday morning that our check will not be available for another three days none the less a check has been deposited from the [redacted], not a personal check signed by [redacted] on the side of the street. I phoned [redacted] the Assistant manager Saturday morning around 10:30 and she was with a client so she was supposed to call me back. I never received a call back. I called first thing yesterday morning, spoke with [redacted], and asked what in the world was going on, and she said that since my husbands check was deposited at 3:18pm that at 3:18 it is Mondays business day which would then take another whole day for the check to be in our account so then on Tuesday four days later, we can actually use our monies. We are not extremely rich people, we do not have thousands of dollars put back and think of something like this as Oh who Cares. We work so hard for what we have and for a bank to hold a payroll check for four days is unjust. I will be writing the Revdex.com if this is not resolved and we will pull our account from PNC. Also On the email from [redacted], where she states she has already overwritten some NSF fees.. it was one, back when I first opened my account with the same excuse for holding a check for three days it is not a favor to return that , but more so the right thing to do because a client has a payroll check deposited, you see its there, you know when the money will be available, but hey what the heck, lets rack up some $36 fees and say it is for such and such purpose I know this economy is horrible and anyone is trying to make a buck these days but I think this is crossing the line and Im sure many would agree.Desired Settlement: DesiredSettlementID: Refund I want both $36.00 overdraft fees totaling $72.00 returned to my account

Review: STAY AWAY FROM PNC BANK EVERYONE!!!!!!!!!!! I have a small business and had an ex employee steal and order checks to MY BUSINESS ACCOUNT from PNC AND CASH OVER 100 checks to HERSELF many not signed or even legible and NOT ONLY DID THEY CASH THEM, THEY WILL NOT PROTECT ME AND REFUND MY MONEY AFTER A COMPLAINT DISPUTES AND POLICE INVESTIGATION as they say they are NOT LIABLE????? ARE YOU kidding me? YOU have the FDIC and my account I reported it as soon as I found out BEFORE my next statement, yes it started out 5 months before at very very small amounts with most in the last month and one half and that was overlooked due to the amount and she took care of that. I will be filing new lawsuits against PNC and want to WARN EVERYONE YOUR MONEY IS NOT SAFE AT PNC!!!Desired Settlement: I ONLY WANT WHAT WAS TAKEN FROM ME, NO INTEREST. SIMPLY THE AGREED UPON FRAUDULENT CHECKS THAT I WAS TOLD BY YOUR BANK MANAGERS THAT I WAS GETTING BACK FROM PNC AND NOW AFTER 4 WEEKS OF NO CALLS OR RETURNED CALLS EMAILS ETC YOU NOT SAY I"M GETTING NOTHING BC OF SOME CLAUSE THAT I HAD 13 days to find out which would not be even enough time to get my first statement!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I will write the news and write to the president of PNC to let everyone know how absolutely UNSAFE consumers are at your bank as it has killed my life losing all of my money and your bank will not protect and give back what was taken yet will cash checks without signatures and clearly fraud while I paid you $75 a month for you to watch over my account as I was at your highest level of banking. I'll be moving all my money elsewhere and filing against pnc if there are no dispute payments given back to me for the entire fraudulent amount.

Review: I have a checking account with PNC bank and my account overdrew and I was charged the fee of $36 twice which I am not complaining because they paid the charge, but what I an complaining about and I find appauling is the $7 per day fee I am getting for being overdrawn; this is very unfair and I think that the bank is 'kicking me while I am down" why should there be a $7 daily fee; I am set up with direct deposit and they know that they will get the money; this just shows how greedy this organization is by charging a fee on top of a fee. WoW!Desired Settlement: I would like all the $7 fee to be refunded to my account; and for PNC bank to stop this unfair and unjust practices. being charged $36 is enough why another $7 daily fee?

Review: I own a business and bank with PNC Bank. I recently tried changing my password and unfortunately didn't write it down. I am now locked out of all of my business accounts. The online banking person said that they would reset my password and send it to me in the mail at my residential address where I get all of my banking correspondance within 3-5 business days. I have not received anything. I went to the branch where I do most of my transactions, the small business person there verified that they had mailed it to my business address instead. We have not recieved our new password. I am unable to access any of my bank accounts, they refuse to give me a temporary password over the phone, they just want me to wait another 3-5 business days. I have a business, I have employees that need to be paid and bills that need to be paid. I cannot see or move my money around to do any business because they will not do anything about this matter other than sending in the mail disguised as "junk" mail. I have been banking with PNC for over 7 years, I do all of my banking with all of my business accounts including my merchant services. I can't run my business without being able to touch my money. I need help. My business is being held hostage by our bank because of their inability to fix the problem in a timely or efficient mannor.Desired Settlement: I want someone to reset my password immediately either at the bank or over the phone. I have waited 5 business days and connot wait any longer. We are a business and need our money!

THE BANK WAS PROVING THAT THEY COULD BE A BETTER BANK WITH BUSINESS ACCTS VS THE PROBLEMS I ENCOUNTERED DURING MY PERSONAL BANKING EXPERIENCE WITH THEM. THEY REQUESTED NECESSARY BUSINEES ARTICLES (I AM STARTING A SMALL BUSINESS) NOT A SHOP/STORE, ETC. I WORK FROM HOME AND ON THE GO. Review: I have a mortgage on rental property that was purchased as my primary residence and was unable to sell after I moved. I was behind on the mortgage by 2 months (July / August) since my tenants are not paying. I sent the September payment on time and PNC rejected the payment to start foreclosure. I thought banks were not allowed to start foreclosure until the mortgage was 2 months behind or more. I think it is ridiculous that they are refusing money and trying to foreclose on a property in an area that has little property value instead of accepting my payments.Desired Settlement: I want PNC to accept my September payment and consider it timely. I also will be making my October payment on time and a second payment at the end of the month. If PNC still refuses my payments, I want others to know not to bank with them or do business with their mortgage offers.

Review: We contacted the bank about some over draft fees that were on the account because they say it went negative but we put the money in account on that day and they charged us a total of four different fees and they said the fees were for the same charges they said in a chat then the next day they reposted the ipass charge and charged another overdraft fees for them charging over draft fees to the account. We have the list that shows that cash and electonic deposits are available immediately but they have charged many times for cash they would say it wasn't available until the next day. We were also depositing zurich checks into the acoount and according to the paper work they gave us it should have been available within two business days and 100 was suppose to available the same day and then the nextday another 100 was suppose to be available but this never happened with our account, when we question them they had no explaination for the actions taken against us.Desired Settlement: I feel as though they should refund some fees that we charged on the account they charged four fees for the same tranactions on the account

Review: Double withdrawl PNC bank allowed another institution to withdraw $640 twice from my account within seconds. And even though the other institution ([redacted]) was willing to work with PNC to fix this issue over the phone with me, PNC refused. They told me yesterday that I would have a 'provisional credit' on my account within 24 hours. However, 24 hours later and there is no credit. After calling in and speaking with several representatives, including a 'manager' named [redacted], I've been told that it is going to take 10 business days for them to straighten this out and give me my credit. As I have spoken with [redacted] and they showed proof that they never received the second $640 what this amounts to is PNC keeping my money for 2 weeks. They have graciously assured me that any fees will be credited, but that I will not be allowed to go in to the negatives. Thus they are keeping my cash to do what they will for 2 weeks, AND going to ensure that I miss multiple payments that are due to other places. Review: I have been using my PNC card to aquire "points" which are then redeemed for points. I have been saving these points for several years, and had enough aquired for over $300 in gift cards. I logged on to redeem them and they were gone. I contacted PNC in December and it took them over a week to respond to my request. Then another week to respond yet again. 8 weeks into the process now, I have been told that they switched from points to offers and my points were terminated via notice placed in monthly billing statements sent to my house (even though I am on paperless billing). These points were part of an agreement and they failed to let me redeem them. A small notice placed in a billing statement is not sufficient to ensure your customers loose what they have been working hard to gain.Desired Settlement: I want my points reinstated or cashed out for a pre-paid visa card as per our banking agreement.

Review: PNC Bank has a customer service department and local branches. When I ask about over draft fees or any other products I always get different answers. I overdraft my account but the transactions were pending. I transferred money into my account before midnight and still received an overdraft fee. I was told by the local branch that as long as the money is on there before the post of the transaction it would cover the purchase. I called the manager of the branch never returned my phone call so I then called customer service and spoke to a manager. The manager said I posted the funds at midnight and I post the funds at 11:58am. He then said because it was not an error on PNC there is nothing he can do. I think this is completely un professional especially when PNC cannot be on the same page with there rules of the accounts. I will be closing all account and never bank with PNC again.Desired Settlement: I want a refund of the overdraft fees

Review: I checked my online account multiple times yesterday. It consistently showed that I had the money to cover the things I was buying. When I woke up this morning I found that I had 3 overdraft fees of 36.00 each. There was a bill that came in overnight that I would not fight the overdraft on, but the other two are completely bogus. It's all in the way the bank holds them and puts them in the right order so that they can do this. I called the 1800 number and actually spoke to a professional woman who seemed like she tried to help me, but said that her request to override was denied and transfered me to someone named Nancy H[redacted] who talked in circles about how it was all my fault for "opting in" and that gave the bank permission to do whatever they wanted. I also had a direct deposit of 110.00 come in that would have covered any of these charges, but they chose to hold that one until after the fees had been applied. Mrs. H[redacted] said multiple times that no one has the ability to take these charges off unless they are fraudulent which is of course a complete lie. This bank is fraudulent. They lie and they order things on purpose so they can charge you absorbent fees.Desired Settlement: I would like to have the overdraft fees returned and written letter from Nancy Haas apologizing for being a bold face liar.

Review: I received in the mail an offer for interest free for one year loan. Interest would be free as long as I made monthly payments. I contacted my branch of PNC Bank and got assistance in filling out the form. I received a credit card and 2 checks. I went to the [redacted] Branch of PNC and talked with the Assistant manager. I wanted to make sure that there were no charges and how to get the money into my account so I could disperse the funds from the loan. It was explained to me by the assistant manager all I had to do was write a check for the amount of money that I wanted to use from the loan and deposit the check into my account. I deposited the check and then dispersed the funds as needed. Two weeks later I received a statement from PNC and it reflected an amount that was being charged to me and showed a payment amount and a date for payment. I took the statement to the PNC branch and discussed it with the assistant manager that had been assisting me. She informed me that the additional amount that was reflected on the statement was for "transfer fees" I never was informed that I would be charged "transfer fees". The assistant manager said that she could not get rid of the charge and made arrangements for some one in a different department to assist me. After discussing the problem with a lady named Gail, I ended up being informed that there was nothing she, Gail, could do to remove the charges from my account. I went back to [redacted] branch of PNC and discussed the situation with the manager. After some conversation and computer investigation on her part the manager informed me that she could not help me. The PNC credit card was not part of PNC bank, which I do not quite understand that, but she could not get the charges removed. I asked what could I do now to get the charges removed and she informed me that I would have to pay off the entire amount. I told the manager I was going to keep my mouth shut because I was upset and didn't want to say something improper.Desired Settlement: Remove the charges to my loan that were not part of what I was explained, and much better communications about "INTEREST FREE" loans. I feel used by a bank that I have been with since 1955. I have had many good dealings with the bank through the years, but this kind of deception does not set good with our relation ship.

Review: I am an extremely dissatisfied PNC customer and I recently filed a complaint with the [redacted]. I write in order to inquire about the status of the aforementioned [redacted] complaint. Voice mails to [redacted] have not been returned. I filed the complaint nearly a month ago and thus far no progress has been made. As each day passes, further economic and non-economic damages accrue. The original complaint contains a full accounting; however, by way of background, it appears as if PNC is misapplying clearly labeled principal only payments as normal payments and moving the funds into a paid ahead account where the funds remain unused - except to earn interest on its behalf. On two separate occasions, PNC has simply refused to process principal only payments received by check. PNC is in clear violation of my loan contract which explicitly allows for prepayment. Needless to say, PNC is seemingly engaged in very questionable practices.PNC refuses to grant me the ability to make principal only payments via its web portal. PNC employee [redacted] promises that if I agree to automatic ACH withdrawals then I will be granted the capability; however, she refuses to document that assurance. It begs the question, if the capability exists, why not expose it now. I have no confidence that the capability will be exposed once ACH deposits are enabled. My intention was not to resolve this matter via litigation; however, PNC has forced my hand. My pre-trial demand is as follows:1) The immediate ability to make principal only payments via PNC's web portal;2) An elimination of all accrued interest;3) A reduction in interest rate from 8% to no more than 5%; and3) Back dating of all principal only payments currently held in the paid account approximately in the sum of ~$571.In the event that I am required to file suit, my demand will be substantially higher. This message is written solely for the purpose of furthering settlement discussions.Desired Settlement: 1) The immediate ability to make principal only payments via PNC's web portal;2) An elimination of all accrued interest;3) A reduction in interest rate from 8% to no more than 5%; and3) Back dating of all principal only payments currently held in the paid account approximately in the sum of ~$571.

Response:

Please allow me to respond to your complaint filed on August 22, 2013, with the Revdex.com (Revdex.com), regarding your Fixed Rate Loan with PNC Bank, National Association ('‘PNC"). I appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns.

PNC accepted an application to refinance your Home Equity Installment loan on July 19, 2013. The letter dated July 19, 2013 providing PNC’s response is enclosed. PNC accepted a second application to refinance your Home Equity Installment loan on August 19, 2013. The letter dated August 19, 2013 providing PNC’s response is enclosed. PNC also submitted a request to verify if you would be eligible for a permanent rate reduction on August 15, 2013. Based on the guidelines set forth by product management for this program, your loan did not qualify for the program. The Loan to Value (LTV) exceeded the maximum allowable for qualification. If your first mortgage was permanently modified under HAMP your second mortgage may be eligible for a modification under The Making Home Affordable Program Second Lien Modification Program (2MP). PNC’s Homeowners Assistance Team may be able to provide assistance. To discuss potential options and solutions based upon your particular situation please contact the Homeowners Assistance Team at ###-###-####.

PNC customers have access to two PNC websites to make payments to their loan. The first website www.clcinfo.com. with the CLC representing PNC's Consumer Loan Center, does not allow principal only payments. The second website www.pnc.com does allow principal only payments when two conditions have been met. The first condition is the monthly payments to the PNC loan are completed by automatic payment. The automatic payment may be debited from an external account or a PNC account. The second condition is the principal only payment must be debited from a PNC account. The website www.pnc.com does not have the functionality to debit principal only payments from an external.account.

In July 2013 you opened a checking and savings account with PNC. We have verified the automatic payments were established on your PNC loan. The conditions have been satisfied to allow a principal only payment. The principal only option is under the Transfer Funds tab. After selecting the Transfer Funds tab, and selecting the "from" account and the "to" account, there will be a checkbox to click for a principal only payment.

Other options are available to make principal only payments. When automatic payments have been established on a customer's account their local branch may post payments as a regular payment or principal only payment. If a customer does not have automatic payments established, their local branch may post the payment as a regular payment and submit a request to our Consumer Loan Department to have the payment reversed and reapplied to principal.

Additionally, a check may be mailed to PNC to make a principal only payment. To ensure correct processing the loan's "account number" and "principal only payment” should be written on the check and the check should be mailed to the following address;

PNC Bank N.A,

P.O. Box 5570 BR-YB58-01-5 Cleveland, OH 44101

PNC applies all payments to your loan when the payment is received. Funds are not held in a paid ahead or escrow account. The monetary amount reflected on the monthly statement as Paid Ahead, signifies the dollar amount paid toward satisfying your next monthly payment obligation. As previously stated, unless designated to go specifically to principal, payments are applied first to the accrued interest, fees (if applicable) then to principal. The enclosed amortization schedule details the application of ail payments received to your account.

During our August 22 conversation we discussed the application of payments to your loan account. When a customer requests reimbursement of the paid ahead funds, the amount requested is reversed from the most recent payment applied to the loan, and matching funds are mailed to the customer. You requested that funds received over the designated monthly payment amount be reversed and reapplied to principal only. Enclosed is a copy of your Fixed Rate Consumer Note And Security Agreement (Agreement), please reference Page 1, item 8, Prepayment, which states; Subject to Section 3, you authorize us to apply all prepaid sums to the indebtedness of this Note in any manner we elect. Unless designated to go specifically to principal, PNC applies payments first to the accrued interest, fees (if applicable) then to principal. The payments were applied following the terms of the Note. As such, any funds received over the designated monthly payment amount will not be reversed and reapplied to principal only. Please contact me at the telephone number below if you would like reimbursement of the paid ahead funds.

Enclosed is a copy of your Agreement, please reference Page 1, item 3, Promissory Note; "For value received, you, intending to be legally bound, jointly and severally promise to pay to our order the principal sum of $85,725.00, which included a prepaid finance charge of $328.00, plus interest from the date of this Note on the principal sum outstanding and other sums owed under this Note at the per annum rate of 8.00%, payable as described in the payment schedule in the Disclosure Statement. You agree that all past due and unpaid charges owed, including past due interest, may be capitalized and earn interest by adding them to the principal balance of this Note, interest will be computed on a simple interest basis based upon a 365-day year, but calculated on actual days. Accordingly, your payment history could affect the amount you will pay under this Note." The Agreement discloses a simple interest accrual method. Interest accrues daily on the outstanding principal balance from one payment to the next. Unless designated to go specifically to principal, payments are applied first to the accrued interest, fees (If applicable) then to principal. Attached is an amortization schedule detailing the application of payments received, and validates the balance and interest owed on the loan. The accrued interest owed is due to the designation of payments as principal only, and the non-payment of other monthly payments. As such, PNC respectfully declines your request to eliminate the accrued interest on the loan.

Enclosed for your records are copies of the following:

• Fixed Rate Consumer Note And Security Agreement

• Amortization schedule
