PNC Financial Services Group, Inc. Reviews (1843)

Please allow me to respond to your complaint filed on November 17, 2014 with the Revdex.com regarding your PNC Bank, National Association ("PNC”) CashBuilder Signature Visa credit card ending in [redacted] (“Account"). I appreciate the opportunity to respond. Our records indicate that you applied online for a CashBuilder Signature Visa and were approved on July 1, 2014. At the time of application, there were no promotions available for online applications that would provide a $100 reward. The promotional offer that you sent with your complaint was not mailed to you until July 22, 2014 and therefore was not applicable for this application. Therefore, your Account was ineligible to receive the cash reward because you did not apply with this promotion. In your written complaint, you indicated your wife previously had concerns regarding a promotion for a new credit card account. Because of privacy laws we are not able to provide you with any information about your wife’s account. A letter was sent to your wife under separate cover to address those concerns on January 5, 2015. Thank you for your time in allowing me to clarify our position. If you have any additional questions or concerns, please contact me at ###-###-####, extension ###-###-#### which is also my direct number. I am available Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Eastern Standard Time. RE: Revdex.com (“Revdex.com”) Case ID # [redacted] Dear Mr. [redacted]: PNC Bank, National Association, {“PNC”) is in receipt of your complaint filed with the Revdex.com (“Revdex.com”), regarding your Standard Checking account ending in 3641 your "Account”). I appreciate the opportunity...

to address your concerns and to follow up on our telephone conversation. On September 5, 2014, PNC received a dispute from you alleging an error related to an adjustment in the amount of $182.16 on September 3, 2014. The dispute indicated that this was a Mobile deposit of your paycheck on August 4, 2014 and you advised that the original check was missing. Upon receipt of this dispute, PNC began the investigation into the disputed transaction. On September 8, 2014, PNC completed its investigation into the disputed transaction and determined that no error occurred. These results were sent to your address of record. On November 18, 2014, PNC received a dispute from you through the Revdex.com alleging an error related to the adjustment made on a Mobile Deposit in the amount of $182.16 from August 4, 2014. We confirmed that the payroll check was negotiated two times, it was first negotiated via a mobile deposit on August 4, 2014 and paid. However, it was deposited again on t August 28, 2014. .** Pursuant to the PNC Bank Remote Deposit Addendum {'‘Addendum") when you make a Mobile deposit, we post it to your account, but this credit is dependent on receiving final payment. You agree to endorse all items with your signature and print "For PNC Mobile Deposit Only” below your signature and to retain and safeguard the original item for at least 14 days after you have transmitted the item images. After 14 days have passed and you have verified that the funds associated with the item have been added to your Balance, you agree to prominently mark the item as “VOID” and properly dispose of the item to ensure that it is not represented for payment. If the original check is represented for payment, the amount of the said check is removed from your balance. If this causes your account to be overdrawn, you must pay the amount of the overdraft immediately, as well as any overdraft charges. For your reference, I have enclosed a copy of the PNC Bank Remote Deposit Addendum, the Online Banking Service Agreement is being sent under separate cover. As a result, your Account had an overdrawn balance of -$24.79 on September 22, 2014 and was closed on October 17, 2014. A $30.00 Account Charge-off to Collections fee was also applied. We then attempted to reach you to make arrangements to take care of this obligation. As no bank error occurred, you may contact our Recovery Department at ###-###-#### to discuss the balance that is owed. The enclosed August 22, 2014 and September 23, 2014 statements detailing the activity that led to your account being closed.Thank you for the opportunity to clarify our position. If you have any questions or additional concerns, please call me directly at ###-###-####-[redacted], which is also my direct telephone number.

Dear Mr. [redacted]: This letter is in response to your inquiry dated October 16, 2014 sent to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) and your additional inquires dated October 28, 2014 and November 21, 2014 sent to the Revdex.com (Revdex.com). In your inquiries, you stated that your application was taken on July 12, 2014 but you did not receive a Good Faith Estimate (GFE) until September 2, 2014. You further stated that you were not satisfied with your experience with your loan officer. Lastly, you stated you were not satisfied with the closing delay. You have requested that we refund you with a portion of your closing costs and receive an apology from management due to your experience during the loan process. According to our records, the loan officer issued a pre-approval letter in July 2014 to enable you to search for a property to purchase. The information provided by you during the pre-approval process does not meet the current RESPA threshold for an application, at which time a GFE is provided, and therefore no GFE was provided as a result of the July 12, 2014 meeting. Once your purchase agreement was received, we finalized your loan application on August 14, 2014 and mailed your GFE on August 15, 2014, with a revised GFE mailed August 16, 2014 to reflect a lower Note rate of interest, (copies enclosed). On behalf of PNC Mortgage we apologize for the treatment you received from your loan officer and the delay of your closing. Your satisfaction is important to us and we regret that you received anything less than the best possible experience during your loan application process. Your concerns have been addressed with the employee involved and documented for further review.PNC Mortgage is committed to customer satisfaction; therefore we are reimbursing you for your origination fee in the amount of $700.00 (check enclosed). Should you have any further questions or concerns regarding this matter, please call our Customer Care Department at ###-###-####. The business did call me twice and left a message with a return number to call. I called 5 times in the past 10 days and left messages but no luck of getting a hold of their representative. So nothing was resolved as of right now.  In their second voicemal to me I was told that someone will contact me to work out the return of the equipment that was sold to me ,but that has not happened yet.

I appreciate the credit for the overdraft fees, but I did respond to every letter I received regarding this matter including sending documentation that the hotel said they did not receive during my stay.  I also had written a thorough explanation of everything that happened and the invoice of the charges from the hotel.  Along with that I included an email from the manager of the hotel that was very straight forward as to why I was charged what I was, which the documents previously sent would have been sufficient to show that I indeed was to be honored the discounted rate.  I have attached them again here to this complaint and will attach them once again to this response as to ensure they are received.
