On October XX XXXX Jody B. came to my house to look at a furnace that was no longer working. He looked at it thoroughly and explained and showed me what he was finding. He talked to me on my level and in a way that I could understand what he was going to need to do to get it running again. I will never use anyone but Morris Jenkins in the future and will always request Jody B. I would recommend the same to anyone that needs either heating or AC help and that they ask for Jody B.

Awful experience with Morris Jenkins. Received a ridiculous quote on replacing furnace. Turns out after a reputable company checked our furnace- it was fine. It just needed a $100 part. Worked fine ever since. I complained via letter to MJ- got a snooty letter in teply. Turns out that sooo many of my friends and neighbors had similar experiences.

We regret your dissatisfaction with Morris-Jenkins. Any time another company disputes our findings, we will gladly dispatch a field supervisor to follow-up and verify our technician's diagnosis. Unfortunately, we find that many other companies aren't as thorough as our technicians and miss potential problems that become serious issues.

Great service, friendly and knowledgeable technician. Everything is up front with cost. Called and needed service, joined maintenance plan and saved 10%. Never used MJ before, but they are my go to experts now!

Our master bath toilet became clogged on Monday morning. I called my handyman and asked him if it was something he could take care of or should I call a plumber. He said he would stop by that afternoon. He tried but his snake was not powerful enough. I searched for plumbers and found Morris-Jenkins. They had a deal for unclogging a drain for $90.00. When I called they said that was only for 15 feet so it could be more when they come out. She mentioned that 4 or 5 times. I should have been suspicious at that point. The tech came Tuesday afternoon and within 15 minutes the cost went from $90.00 to $750.00. He said the clog was more than 15 feet and the job was hard. I really did not have much choice as our toilet was pulled and clogged. I told him to proceed and in exactly one hour he was totally done and gone. They basically charged $750.00 an hour.

As our Field Service Manager discussed with you over the telephone, our pricing is set to provide exceptional service with the most up-to-date technology. Our technicians are required to provide each customer with a quote which the customer may accept or decline prior to performing the service.

Analysis of problem with *** was false. Overcharged and not repaired.
On Friday, Nov. 3, 2017, Morris Jenkins came to our home to repair 4 1/2 year old air conditioning unit. The rep said the problem was a $315 switch. When the switch did not work, he said we needed a $2600 coil. On Sat., Nov. 4, another *** company fixed the problem with a ob. of freon and told us that the switch cost $15 and that the coil was fine. No problems since the freon was put back into the system. Morris Jenkins manager came to our home and took the used switch. Why did he want this switch? We believe that it was a working switch and he wanted to get rid of anything that pointed to their possible fraudulent practices.

Desired Outcome

Morris Jenkins has to stop what we believe to be fraudulent practices and we want a refund to reimburse our bank who failed to stop the check from being cashed. This company needs to be investigated.

Any time another company disputes our technician's findings, we will dispatch a Field Supervisor or Manager to follow behind our technician. In this case, the Field Service Manager showed the customer the problem with the contactor and asked if he could use it for training purposes. The customer agreed and he took the contactor.

Whenever refrigerant needs to be added to a system, there is a leak somewhere in the coil or the system. While adding a pound or two of refrigerant to a system is a quick fix, the refrigerant will eventually leak out. Our technician noted that the evaporator coil was rusted and found a leak.

When the Field Service Manager was at the customer's home, he agreed to only charge the customer $100. However, the check was cancelled and we have received no payment from the customer. In this case, no refund is due since the customer did not pay for the service call, the leak search, or the contactor.

The Morris Jenkins manager who came to our home and took the used switch with him did not mention using it for training purposes. He asked for the switch and it was given to him since we did not see a need for it.
As elderly consumers, we worry about other senior citizens being abused by companies who might mislead and then rob them. We believe that Morris Jenkins needs to be investigated for these type of practices.

We have received no money from the customer to refund. We've attempted to contact the customer several times and the customer will not respond to our voicemails or emails.

We regret the customer's continued dissatisfaction with Morris-Jenkins. We have been in business since 1958 and have won an Ethics in Business award. It is our responsibility to disclose every potential problem our technicians find with the customer's system and our pricing is set to provide excellent customer service.

The manager did not tell us at his visit in our home that he would charge us $100 instead of the $437. He disclosed this on the phone at a later date. We returned the manager's call and left word for him to contact us and he did not return our call. The amount of $437 for a new $15 contactor and still with no air conditioning was not acceptable. Just hope that this company is honest and upright about their business practices with other customers.

This is to document the excellent service we received from the Morris Jenkins service technician Sammie ***. We have two house he inspected and he did a great job. Thank you so much.

Bobby D. did an excellent job of serving the heating systems at both of my homes. Bobby is thorough and explains all of the important aspects of my system in a clear manner. I believe he does everything possible to keep my HVAC systems in good running order. I greatly appreciate his expertise and effort.

I've been a priority club member for 3 years and Chris S. has been my service tech for 2 years. I couldn't be happier with the work he does in inspecting/maintaining my HVAC systems and letting me know when there are issues that need to be addressed. Based on Chris's work and knowledge of my system I have a level of confidence in my HVAC system that frankly I've never had before.

Sammie B. With Morris-Jenkins was on time and worked very hard to figure out why our system was not working. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. I will have no hesitation the next time I need heating and air service.

Pat O. performed our fall service as a Priority Member. He did an excellent job. He explained everything he did. Then he shared with us his recommendation to replace the motor start kit. We gave him the go ahead and he made the replacement while here. It was nice that he had the parts available on his truck so that we didn't have to schedule a separate appointment. Pat also talked about a whole house humidifier. We agreed to see how this winter goes since we have new floors and crown molding as a result of a remodel. Would highly recommend Morris Jenkins. They are professional and provide a great value for their price.

Seth D with Morris Jenkins was an absolute pleasure to work with today. He went over and beyond to accommodate our needs for one of our two heating systems! We have a relatively new home and decided to use Morris-Jenkins for a semi-annual system check instead of the company that installed our HVAC system for the builder. Darryl H was the technician sent to our home yesterday. What an intelligent, personable, highly-qualified and delightful man! He spent over two hours in our home and checked the systems thoroughly. Based on our experience with Darryl, we would highly recommend Morris-Jenkins to friends and neighbors.

Stephen E. did an inspections, check up and repair to my heating unit and checked all of my fire alarm installations to insure that they were working properly. His service was very courteous and helpful. He explained all he was doing thoroughly and made it easy to understand. I would like to use him for all of my inspections and check ups in the future with Morris Jenkins as a preferred customer. Thank you!
