I have since returned the computer in question since the return policy is days and I have just now received a response from Microsoft 6mos later. I appreciate a response, but I would still like a comparable computer to the specs that were advertised for the advertised price. It still wasn't reviewed they only go by the mods and it's known all over the Internet they ban people for no reason just if people report when they are losing a gameThere are petitions being gathered with signatures to have this looked intoThere is no way you can honestly say when someone is banned for communicating on the 19th from Xbox one only he can't even talk to them on the 21st get banned from Xbox live for harrestment when he can't communicate

I am rejecting this response because: 1. Microsoft tried to mislead Revdex.com personnel. No one ever asked for a refundI didn't even asked for any type of compensation for the inconvenience caused by themIt’s just ridiculous for them to keep providing misleading information2. My Surface Pro is out of warrantyHowever I did NOT ask for a replacementThe issue is OS relatedI did NOT ask for any hardware support.3. Let’s recap the issue: a. Microsoft forcefully installed updates on my PC that made the PC not usableI don’t have the control on which update to be installedThere is no option to choose in Windows 10.b. I followed the recommendation from Microsoft, and choose the option to return the system to the status before the updateThe process is automatic and user does not have control.c. The OS rebooted during the process in (b) but failed to do so due to boot record was destroyed and the EFI variables were wrongly setIf you search on Internet you will find out many people got affected by this issue from mid-May 2017, regardless which machine they are usingThis is a Windows problem.d. Since the system of Microsoft Surface is an embedded one tailor made by Microsoft, unlike other general machines, as an end user I don’t have the access to fix it, usually by deleting the boot record/remove hard disk partition and rebuild itI asked Microsoft to fix it since the error was caused by them.e. Microsoft support keeps selling me to upgrade my system with a discounted priceI’m not interested as there is no hardware issue and the problem could be simply fixed.f. They also tried to mislead me the issue was a hardware issue, which is notI’ve been working in software engineering field in local government for more than years and I understand what happened.g. I asked for the description on the error code (representing the details and usually the cause/resolution of the error) shown on my PC, they refused to provide and asked me to search on InternetRidiculous.h. I asked for a contact point to file a complaint officially, they told me Microsoft does not have one.i. After knowing I didn’t fall into their trap, they close my case4. To conclude, Microsoft made a mistake on an OS update in mid-May that affected many people, and I’m one of themWith 10+ years in Software Engineering field I am able to find the root cause, but they just tried to mislead me and asked me to have a paid upgradeThe resolution is simple but they just want to sell their remaining stock of Surface Pro after Surface Pro releasedThey even refused to provide written reply, description of the error, and contact point to file complaints
