The Jefferson capital is trying to collect 4 thousand dollars from me on behalf of Verizon wireless. I have left Verizon wireless back indefinitely 2017 with a 0 balance and still a 0 balance. I have spoken with them trying to close a debt that I have nothing to do with.

After checking mu annual credit report online, I discovered a derogatory remark from Jefferson Capital System. They have placed a bill for $140 from Verizon Wireless in collection and caused my credit score to drop. This is not my bill and I do not owe Verizon Wireless any money. I have filed disputes with all 3 credit bureaus concerning this matter and the report remains on my credit report. I would like this removed as it hurts my credit score that I have worked so hard to build.

I had an account with Verizon Wireless from several years ago that was sold to collections. Jefferson Capital Systems bought the debt from Verizon, but I was never contacted about this collection account. I saw it appear on my credit report and I reached out to them. I asked for verification of the debt and was told they would send it to me, but never did. They have since "sold" and then bought the collection account back so it looks like a new collection account on my credit report. My credit report shows this account was opened in January 2019, but it's several years old. When they sell and rebuy it, it falls off my credit file and then comes back on as a new account. I have been trying to improve my credit and repair past mistakes, but Jefferson Capital Systems is actively preventing me from this by the continual repurchasing of the same debt, not having contacted me regarding the debt prior to putting it on my report initially, and I have not received any information on the original debt and account date. I want this resolved and I want this off my credit file and to be done with Jefferson Capital Systems for good.

Jefferson Capital System purchased a Verizon debt of $646 from 2016 that had fallen off my Credit report 5 months ago. Since then I have not received a single letter or attempt to resolve the debt. I called the number available on their website and because I had no details (no account number from Verizon or their file number) the representative said they couldn't locate my file and couldn't go further into resolving the issue.

Jefferson Capital Systems appeared on my credit report on all 3 reporting agencies without contacting me prior to reporting and refuse to provide me with any information in regards to the original contract information between myself and the original creditor. Jefferson Capital put collection on my credit reports without my knowledge and in doing so, this violated the FDCPA Collection Practice by placing a collection account on my credit report without sending a letter to me. Plus there is NO verification from the Texas Secretary of State that they are registered in Texas, which is also against the FDCPA! I request that Jefferson Capitol verify the following information. 1. Full original Account Number 2. Date original Account was opened 3. Any written agreements between myself and the original creditor stating this debt is owed 4. Full account summary and itemized calculation of alleged debt 5. Date of the first delinquency 6. Dates and times of any phone calls made and to what number in attempt to contact me concerning the alleged debt before it was reported to an agency, and so proving that these calls were made in the times governed by FDCPA law. If Jefferson Capital Systems is unable to provide the above identifying account information, this account must be deleted from all CRAs. Jefferson Capital Systems also failed to follow FDCPA by not sending a letter giving the consumer time to dispute or validate the alleged debt within the allowed 30-day time frame that is allowed by law.

This company, which I hold no contract with nor have received services from, reported a collection account against my SSN in the amount of $$1095.00 with Transunion, Experian, & Equifax credit reporting agencies. I requested verification of the debt and account however the business failed to provide adequate proof. Considering this business does not have a contract with me for goods or services they have provided nor have they provided adequate proof I am not obligated to pay for the alleged debt. In addition, this collection agency is not licensed to collect debt in CA.

Jefferson Capital is illegally reporting to all three credit bureaus an account that is collections for $2,239.00. On April 30, 2019, I disputed the Verizon collection account that was on my credit report. I received a letter from Transunion on June 4, 2019 with the Investigation results from my Verizon dispute, which stated in response to your dispute, the item was DELETED from your credit report. Jefferson Capital LLC, which is a debt buyer, states they purchased my account on or around April 3, 2019? I was never notified that my account was sold by Verizon or Jefferson Capital. Jefferson Capital immediately legally should have notified me within 30days to validate and verify the account and give payment opportunities. I was denied all rights. I called Jefferson Capital July 30, 2019 and spoke with a women named *** who advised me that legally they do not have to notify me that they have purchased the debt, “and that I was aware that I owed Verizon, and that I’ve owed this debt for quite a while”. I asked her several times could she explain to me why her company legally didn’t have to notify me within 30 days? I never received an answer. I asked for verification of documentation of anything every sent to me for my validation of the account. I asked for a confirmation number for the call, but of course the call was suddenly disconnected.
However, I received my first letter from Jefferson Capital almost 7 months after reporting to the credit bureaus. The letter and the documentation have so many holes in it, it’s basically a template that they use for all their customers. They simply add the demographic info on the top, that’s why they can’t state the dates. The letter states “on or around April 3, 2019. Why wouldn’t they have scanned a copy or made account notes their system to indicate the exact date in which you sent out your correspondence. If in fact you sent the correspondence out? This documentation isn't sufficient, I need to see a itemized bill, with all dates.

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because: I called Jefferson Capital Systems today, September 12, 2019 at 9:37am after not receiving my deletion letter as promised by Manager ***. I called the number (1-800-281-2793) *** gave me on September 11th and for some odd reason I was unable to get through to a live person, not even on hold, or in que, it just kept looping, so I eventually hung up and tried the other number that I was using previously (***) and I went directly to a live person, how ironic. I asked to speak to ***, and she asked me to hold, when she returned she stated that *** wasn't available. I then asked for the other Manager ***, I was advised that *** wasn't available either. I was asked if I could hold. When she returned to the line, she stated that coworker *** was actually working on my account and that he could speak to me, and asked me if I would like to speak to him. I wondered how she knew what I wanted and what I needed resolved on my account? I said yes, I would speak to him, I needed some information on the status of my deletion letters. I was placed on hold, for literally a minute, only for her to return to the line to tell me that unfortunately ***'s phone isn't working and he's unable to talk. Impossible!! You offered this line of communication, now your saying the line is broken, then she says he actually needs to log on, then im placed on hold again, and *** magically appears on the line.
I explained to *** that I called to speak to *** or *** and neither was available. Per ***'s requests I sent a Authorization Email, I asked if he could verify if the email was received he said yes. He also stated that he listed to the recorded conversation from last night. He mentioned several times during our conversation. Then I asked why I hadn't received the letter, and he stated that wasn't aware that they legally could send a email, I asked him why I would be told that, why I would need to send an Authorization Email, why that email address would even exist if that wasn't a formal process for JCS? He said he would have to contact ***, but she's in a different department. *** is in the Consumer Relations Department, and apparently the reason he happened to be working on my account when I called the morning after I spoke to ***, and he happened to listen to our recorded conversation is because he decided that today was going to be the day to work on my Revdex.com complaint. *** said to me he's working on my Revdex.com complaint, and I said, but I'm following on the deletion letter that was supposed to be emailed to me, plus the electronic deletion that was to sent to the credit bureaus. He then says to me well I have to wait to speak my manager to verify that I can legally email you a letter, and as far as the credit bureaus go I have already sent that information to all three bureaus. I then asked to speak to ***, *** and he said they were gone to lunch. I asked if his manager was available, has said no, he's gone to lunch as well, and asked for his name and then I hear and him and his female coworker looking up a name to give me, so he gives me the name ***. I don't if that is really his managers name or not. Then he says that he has the control #'s for each credit bureaus deleted tradelines. Equifax- Control # *** Transunion and Experian have the same Control # ***.
I called all three credit bureaus and Transunion has no record of the control number, JCS hasn't been deleted. Equifax and Experian don't use control #'s, and JCS hasn't been deleted. The bureaus explained the correct process, that being if JCS sent a electronic message to the credit bureau, the deletion would be done immediately, then JCS would have to reply the bureaus message.
I reject the response made by Jefferson Capital Systems, due to fact that are using this complaint as way to mask my other compliant. What Jefferson Capital Systems is doing is illegal, unlawful and I refuse to let them get away with it. This is affecting my family,my livelihood and they could careless. The information JCS submitted to the Revdex.com was a was a complete lie, they have done none of those things indicted in the letter. The credit bureaus can and will be able to provide the necessary documentation. The information Jefferson Capital Systems provided to the CFPB on August 8, 2019 was falsified, incomplete, doesn't qualify as documentation for account validation and didn't have any demographic information and said on or around a date range., and the correct information has been provided to the CFPB Ombudsman Office for further review and redetermination. I've also requested that they investigate Jefferson Capital Systems, due to recent activity and recent complaints and other illegal activity.

Dear Jesse Schaffer,
We are in receipt of your additional correspondence sent on behalf of *** concerning the above-referenced account.
We regret if *** was dissatisfied with the time it took to provide her with a response in this matter. When speaking with one of our account managers on September 11, 2019, *** requested an email response concerning a dispute on an account under her name. That request was forwarded to the appropriate department to have the reply sent. A response was sent to *** on September 12, 2019, via email and via the U.S. Postal Service. A copy of the letter sent via the U.S. Postal service also accompanied our reply to your office of September 12th. As our correspondence indicated, we did request the credit bureaus to delete our trade line. If any of the credit bureaus have not deleted our trade line as requested, *** can file a dispute with them. Upon receiving notification of the dispute from the bureaus we will confirm the trade line was to be deleted.
Thank you for the opportunity to be of service.

I have attempted to contact Jefferson Capital Systems wanting to resolve this issue that keeps reappearing on my credit report. They are reporting the same account that has been deleted from my credit report twice after being disputed. Months after the account could not be validated, they reported it back on to my credit report twice.

Jefferson Capital Systems has listed a derogatory collection for debt for $168, on behalf of Verizon on multiple credit reporting agencies.
My complaint is to dispute the validity of the debt and I request that Jefferson Capital verify the following:
1. Full original Account Number
2. Date original Account was opened
3. Any written agreements between myself and the original creditor stating this debt is owed
4. Full account summary and itemized calculation of alleged debt
5. Date of the first delinquency
6. Dates and times of any phone calls made and to what number in attempt to contact me concerning the alleged debt before it was reported to an agency, and so proving that these calls were made in the times governed by FDCPA law.
Jefferson Capital Systems also failed to follow FDCPA by not sending a letter giving the consumer time to dispute or validate the alleged debt within the allowed 30-day time frame that is allowed by law.
If Jefferson Capital Systems is unable to provide the above identifying account information, this account must be deleted from all CRAs.

This complaint is in response to a recent claim regarding account#***, which they claim I owe $3,236. Yet again, they have failed to provide me with a copy of any viable evidence, bearing my signature, showing the account is being reported accurately. The haven't provided me any name, address, and telephone number of each person who personally verified this alleged account, so that I can inquire about how they "verified" without providing any proof bearing my signature. The listed item is inaccurate and incomplete and represents a very serious error in their reporting. I've been disputing this error with this company since NOV 1,2015. I want this matter resolved expeditiously and removed from all three credit reporting bureaus via TRANSUNION, EXPERIAN, AND EQUIFAX.

Zero validation of account. Old Verizon account. Have supporting receipts documents and contracts that show Verizon sold an account to this company. Offered settlement from company. Called to get it in writing per my attorney. Customer service rep was rude would not allow me to speak with anyone or send me anything that would be useful with getting this resolved. Account needs to be deleted as they have failed many times to validate the information. Was ready to settle for 250.00 just to be over this. They offered 460.00 . That is my last bill amount I paid Verizon account shows paid in full have disputed this with credit bureaus . Still no verifications or validations.

I have been getting repeated calls and letters about a supposed Verizon debt with Jefferson Capital Systems. The collections account isn't mine. My name is *** and the debt is listed as belonging to someone under the name *** and it's over $2,000. I've tried disputing it with them and have filed disputes with all of the credit bureaus, but Jefferson Capital has refused thus far to comply with the fair credit laws. This debt isn't mine. I have a debt with Jefferson Capital, something I've been trying to resolve for over a year. When I contact them they tell me to call another collector they have contracted to manage my debt, *** LLP. When I contact *** they tell me the account has been transferred to another party, ***. When I contact *** they tell me they have no record of me in their system. So I return to *** who tell me they are unsure of who currently is managing my debt and will have to research this and call me back within 24 hours, however they never do. I've gone through this process repeatably and all I want to do is set up a payment plan so I can get my home loan! I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW A COMPANY WHO IS REFLECTING ON YOUR CREDIT FOR A DEBT HAS NO IDEA WHO I NEED TO PAY TO END THIS NIGHTMARE! The bank I'm working with for my home loan doesn't even know how to help me because they think its bizarre they even let so many companies handle their cases. I've tried speaking to someone at Jefferson they refuse to help me, however they are the ones reporting the debt on my credit therefore I feel they are liable.

Jefferson Capital Systems LLC continues to keep derogatory remarks on an account that is over 7 yrs old, way past statute of limitations. They refuse to supply any and all account information including dates of service because they know it is illegal to collect on a debt this old. They continue to change the dates on the credit file to around 2 yrs ago, which they cannot prove and is also illegal. I request that Jefferson Capital verify the following information: 1. Full original account number 2. Date original account was opened 3. Any written agreement between myself and original creditor stating this debt is owed 4. Full account summary and itemized calculation of alleged debt. 5. Date of the first delinquency. Jefferson Capital stated that this account was opened on October 24, 2017 and it’s not possible because I have not given any of my information to Jefferson. If Jefferson Capital Systems is unable to provide the identifying the above account information, this account should be deleted from all credit bureaus and no further contact shall be made by phone, email, or mail.

I am trying to pay a collection and they do not even know who I am, spoke to 3 people from their phone line, went up to a supervisor and ask me to contact Radius Global Solutions, LLC,
After speaking to another 3 people from Radius Global Solutions, LLC, they do not know who I am...
I am not giving my SSN to someone that is supposed to be a collection agency.
This is so horrible experience.... need help 0_0 I want to pay but to who???
They added collection to my credit reports without my knowledge! They have continuously harassed me by calling before 8:00am and calling multiple times every single day. BOTH are FDCPA violations!
I have severe anxiety, social and generalized so these consistent calls from different local numbers have been a huge strain on my mental health making me worry about every possibility. I have screenshots of all of the times that they have called and once I made the connection called each number I have in my missed calls the many times they call daily - that all lead back to the same place! Under FDCPA, they are not allowed to call before 8:00am and cannot harass me by calling multiple times daily and never leaving messages!
Jefferson Capital put collection on my credit reports without my knowledge and in doing so, this violated the FDCPA Collection Practice by placing a collection account on my credit report without sending a letter to me, where I would have my 30 legal days to dispute this supposed debt.
I request that Jefferson Capitol verify the following information.
