We’ve never gotten anything from Verizon and are currently with the company however we just found out this company has a collections for almost 2k with Verizon. The account number doesn’t work the employees do not speak English and are very rude we’ve tried to dispute in which they get mad about and continue to try and have us pay them which will not happen this company is a scam and uses scare tactics to get people to pay them

On 4/19/19 Jefferson Capital Systems issued a negative report to all three credit bureaus, which I discovered upon running a routine credit report on 4/21/19. I had not previously received any telephonic or written communications from this entity. I attempted calling such entity on 4/25/19, 4/26/19, 4/28/19 and 5/2/19 without success. On May 2, 2019 I sent a debt validation letter to Jefferson Capital Systems via certified mail. I have verified their receipt of this letter. They have not responded to my inquiry, but have continued to post negative reports. I tried again today to reach Jefferson Capital Systems via the number listed on my credit report, but still have not successfully reached anyone. When I enter my information into the automated system, it states no such account exists. I require that this adverse report therefore be promptly removed from all three credit bureaus.

Jefferson Capital continues to report false amounts on my credit report even after the original amount had gone over the 7 year period. They also continue to report it over and over again with a new date. This practice is illegal and has been reported by many individuals like myself.
I do not even know who these people are! They sent a collection notice to my employers home address!!! Have not sent anything to my home address or my business address. Very unprofessional. I called to get more information about who they were and they started asking me personal questions like what my social was, my birth date, address etc. I stated I was not going to provide any of my personal information until I knew who they were. I was then told have a nice day and hung up on
Today this company showed on my credit reports with a reporting date listed as last reported May 24, 2019 and an account opening date of January 22, 2019. It states the original creditor is Verizon Wireless. I do not have an account with Verizon Wireless and had to previously dispute such with the credit reporting agencies and they were removed from my reports as they determined the account was not mine. I have never received any mail or correspondence from this company called Jefferson Capital Systems and they just randomly showed up as a collection on my record. I do not have any collections and have never made a late payment. This has ruined my credit by showing up and is not appreciated.

I have sent numerous letters to this company asking for verifiable proof of my debt according to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and the Fair Credit Reporting Act. They have sent me nothing but print out of a bill claiming it was verified without any proof! (ie: my signature) It has not even been marked as disputed on my credit reports!!!

Jefferson Capital Systems placed a collection in the amount of $8149 on my credit file WITHOUT notifying me and now also refuses to validate the debt, both of which are a violation of the FDCRA. Additionally Jefferson Capital Solutions, a "client" of *** and ***, has engaged in harrassment and unfair debt collection practices by having these companies repeatedly call my WORK CELL PHONE multiple times per week on their behalf, which is also a violation of the FDCRA.

They added a wrongful negative debt to my credit report. This debt has been long satisfied and taken to court over it. I paid the debt many, many years ago. I was never sent anything prior to it being reported or I would have called and addressed this mistake they have. . This is unlawful. Please remove it from all the credit bureaus.

They added collection to my credit reports without my knowledge! I checked & can't verify their registration in California! BOTH are FDCPA violations!
Jefferson Capital put collection on my credit reports without my knowledge and in doing so, this violated the FDCPA Collection Practice by placing a collection account on my credit report without sending a letter to me. Plus there is NO verification from the LA Secretary of State that they are registered in California which is also against the FDCPA!
I request that Jefferson Capitol verify the following information.
1. Full original Account Number
2. Date original Account was opened
3. Any written agreements between myself and the original creditor stating this debt is owed
4. Full account summary and itemized calculation of alleged debt
5. Date of the first delinquency
6. Dates and times of any phone calls made and to what number in attempt to contact me concerning the alleged debt before it was reported to an agency, and so proving that these calls were made in the times governed by FDCPA law.
If Jefferson Capital Systems is unable to provide the above identifying account information, this account must be deleted from all CRAs.
Jefferson Capital Systems also failed to follow FDCPA by not sending a letter giving the consumer time to dispute or validate the alleged debt within the allowed 30-day time frame that is allowed by law.

sent a PFD letter to Jefferson, offering 40% of a approximately $952.00 debt. They responded with a letter saying they've ceased collection and requested the account be deleted. I then received a dunning letter dated two days later saying they won't pursue legal action but that regardless of what I do they will report it for as long as possible and giving me 30 days to dispute it in writing. They also continuously harass me all days and hours. All kinds of hours. After 9:00 PM on sundays sometimes.

This company, which I hold no contract with nor have received services from, reached out to me in an attempt to collect a debt. This business is not authorized to collect debts in the state of Texas. "Under Section 392.101 of the Texas Finance Code prohibits a third-party debt collector or credit bureau from engaging in debt collection in Texas unless the third-party debt collector or credit bureau has obtained a surety bond and filed a copy of the bond with the Office of the Secretary of State."
