I received a call from a US Marshall stating that he was advised by Jefferson capital system LLC to contact me to serve me with some papers regarding my debit collection with ***. I gave the Marshall my correct address and he proceeded to tell me that he will deliver paperwork to my previous address on file. The Marshall officer was very rude and unprofessional. I was never contacted by Jefferson C LLC to even settle my debit collection with ***. I think they way this ATTEMPT debit collection was handle is was outrages and very unprofessional.
The account has been served and is in litigation, however, the consumer has spoken with our Connecticut attorney and we are pleased that we were able to reach an agreement regarding the account. When the agreed terms have been met Jefferson Capital will resolve and dismiss the action against Ms. as agreed.
The collection account was added to all credit reports without knowledge since I did not receive any letters or phone calls. I have tried multiple times to talk to someone who works for this company but can never get anyone on the phone. The system is automated and you can never speak to a live person. I was finally given another phone number to call through an automated system. That company was called *** and was told that they were collecting the debt. I first called them on 3/19/2019 and spoke to a man who did not identify himself. I asked for a detail of the charges to be sent to me so that I could investigate the charge. He said that he would send to me but also told me that I could settle the account at a rate of 20% off. I declined the offer and he then said that a letter had been mailed out at a higher percent off but it was past the offer date which is typically 30-60 days. He proceeded to talk to his manager and came back with 35% off. I declined offer and asked for the details again to be sent to me. I called again 3/26/19 and spoke to a woman this time. I told her that I had not received any details on the charge yet. I verified email and address and she put me on hold to review the notes. She got back on the line and told me that she could not send me anything because they are just a debt collector. I argued with her and decided to hang up and call back to speak to somone else. This time it was the man I spoke to the first time. He told me a letter was mailed out on 2/28/19 and told me this was the settlement letter that I asked for. We had not spoken before 3/19/19. So now I feel like I am being lied and mistreated. Why would I settle a debt with nothing in writting that I have asked for other than a settlement letter and then paid to a company that is not on my credit report. I am requesting that Jefferson Capital verify the following information.
1. Full original Account number
2. Date original Account was opened
3. Any written agreements between myself and the original creditor stating this debt is owed
4. Full account summary and itemized calculation of alleged debt
5. Dates of the first delinquency
6. Dates and times of any phone calls made and to what number in attempt contact me concerning the alleged debt before it was reported to an agency, and so proving that these calls were made in the times governed by FDCPA law.
7. Written contract between Jefferson Capital Systems and

Going thru credit report noticed collection listed on credit reports for $398 for a *** alleged item I have no knowledge of. I Never received a notice from Jefferson Capital Systems Need them to validate original acct. number and date acct. was opened. Amy written agreements between original creditor and myself, acct summary and itemized calculations of alleged debt, date of first delinquency, dates and times of phone calls made and to what number in attempt to contact me concerning alleged debt before it was reported to CRA's and times they were made governed by FDCPA laws. If above collections agency is unable to provide alleged acct. Info this acct. Should be deleted from all CRA's and not sold or transferred to any other collection agencies.

They added collection to my credit reports without my knowledge, which is a FDCPA violation.
Jefferson Capital put collection on my credit reports without my knowledge and in doing so, this violated the FDCPA Collection Practice by placing a collection account on my credit report without sending a letter to me.
I request that Jefferson Capitol verify the following information.
1. Full original Account Number
2. Date original Account was opened
3. Any written agreements between myself and the original creditor stating this debt is owed
4. Full account summary and itemized calculation of alleged debt

If Jefferson Capital Systems is unable to provide the above identifying account information, this account must be deleted from all CRAs.
Jefferson Capital Systems also failed to follow FDCPA by not sending a letter giving the consumer time to dispute or validate the alleged debt within the allowed 30-day time frame that is allowed by law.

Jefferson Captial Systems, Which I hold NO contract with nor have I received any services, products, or tangibles from, reported a collection account against my social security number in the amount of $9262.00 with ***, ***, & *** credit reporting agencies. I requested verification of the debt and account, however, Jefferson Capital Systems failed to provide adequate proof. Considering this company does not have a contract with me for the goods or services that have provided nor have they provided adequate proof that I am not obligated to pay for the alleged debt.

I am rejecting this response because: Ms ***s and Jefferson Capital Systems violated my rights again. They instead used my verification to obtain my correct address to send debt collection material and offer a settlement on a contract that I do not have with them. I am rejecting this offer as well due in part to the Bridgecrest documents sent by Jefferson Capital System are no longer validate due to an expiration due several documents sent by them as seen in the attachments.
Sincerely,
Jason
This company has put their information on my credit report. I have sent a registered letter to them with a return reciept. They have failed to respond. I have no clue concerning this debt. Nor have I ever received a bill. When I try to contact them. They say they can’t find my file that they need to validate my information. So I sent a validation letter. I also found that they are not registered in Louisiana. I want this removed from my credit report. Stop all collection do not try to resale this debt

Jefferson Capital Systems has listed 2 accounts on my credit report across all three credit reporting bureaus. One is originally listed from *** in the amount of $2,152. The second is originally listed from *** in the amount of $8,962.
I have not been able to validate that they are authorized to collect on these alleged debts, not do I have anything showing how the amounts they are reporting were calculated.

Dear Ms.:

Our research and review indicates there are no allegations concerning the actions or services of Jefferson Capital Systems. Rather, the complaint indicates the customer is requesting validation of the debt for the accounts they are not familiar with. As a result, we would respectfully request that the Revdex.com, pursuant to its National Complaint Acceptance Guidelines, close this matter and dismiss this complaint against Jefferson Capital Systems, LLC. We will however contact Ms. Haxton directly to attempt to resolve her issue. Thank You

I found Jefferson Capital Systems LLC to be reporting a debt to credit reporting agencies through review of my credit report, without first getting a letter allowing me to dispute the validitiy of said debt. I filed a dispute with the credit reporting agencies and said account was subsequently removed. A few months later it reappeared again. I find this to not only an immoral act, but in violation the Fair Credit Reporting Act to my understanding. I would like to see this matter resolved with no further action necessary on my part. Should implied debt be removed from my credit report and no further collection activity is attempted, I will be satisfied with Jefferson Capital Systems response, however disappointed it had to come to a Revdex.com complaint to resolve this issue.

I RECENTLY OBTAINED A COPY OF MY CREDIT REPORT AND SAW A DEROGATORY MARK FROM THIS COLLECTION AGENCY. I SENT THEM A CERTIFIED WRITTEN LETTER ON FEBRUARY 19, ASKING FOR PROOF OF VALIDATION. I REQUESTED IF THEY COULD NOT VALIDATE THE DEBT, THAT THEY WOULD IN FACT DELETE ERRONEOUS INFORMATION FROM MY CREDIT FILE. THE LETTER WAS RECEIVED AND SIGNED FOR ON FEBRUARY 25, 2019. I REQUESTED THEY RESPOND WITHIN 30 DAYS OR RECEIVING THE LETTER. INSTEAD OF RESPONDING TO MY LETTER OF VALIDATION, THEY SOLD THE DEBT TO ANOTHER COLLECTION AGENCY, WHICH PROVES JEFFERSON COULD NOT VALIDATE THE DEBT. NOW, I HAVE TO CONTACT THE NEW COMPANY THAT THEY WRONGFULLY SOLD THE DEBT TO.

The company mailed a letter and stated they will remove the item from my report. The letter was sent after my claim with the Revdex.com was filed. Thank you for assisting and mediating this situation.
This company is reporting an account on my credit report that does not belong to me and they refuse to remove it. I have never had an account with *** and never will, its just not my thing. Yet this collection agency is reporting that I owe them for something that I've never had. Either show me valid proof or delete it off of my report. If I owe *** like you claim I do (which I know that I don't), then show me proof and I will pay THEM not you. *** is not even reporting on my credit report. This should really be illegal.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID. I have contacted *** directly to make payment arrangements with them and they have told me each times that there is no account listed under my social security number. I know this to be true because I have never ordered anything from them or applied for an account. At this point, I will contact the proper authorities to report an identity theft as this is not my account and I will not pay for something that does not belong to me and that the original creditor has verified to me that it does not belong to me. I will close this complaint for now. Thank you Revdex.com because without your help I wouldn't have gotten any kind of validation from this company as I've been trying to do for the past couple of months.

To whom it may concern. I'm an Honorable Disabled Veteran of the United States Navy. Jefferson Capital put collection on my credit reports without my knowledge for a *** that was fraudulently opened in my name on October 12, 2016. By doing so, this violated the FDCPA Collection Practice by placing a collection account on my credit report without sending a letter to me. Plus there is NO verification from the LA Secretary of State that they are registered in Louisiana which is also against the FDCPA!
I request that Jefferson Capitol verify the following information.
1. Full original Account Number
2. Date original Account was opened
3. Any written agreements between myself and the original creditor stating this debt is owed
4. Full account summary and itemized calculation of alleged debt
5. Date of the first delinquency . Dates and times of any phone calls made and to what number in attempt to contact me concerning the alleged debt before it was reported to an agency, and so proving that these calls were made in the times governed by FDCPA law.

They are reporting two accounts on my credit that I have never owned. One from *** and one from ***. I have never had either of these accounts. I have disputed both accounts with all 3 of the credit bureaus multiple times and they refuse to stop reporting these nonexisting accounts. On 2-4-2019 I mailed them 2 debt validation requests asking for proof that these accounts belong to me and that I obtained them and have not heard anything from them. If I owed the accounts, I would not have an issue with paying what I owe. However, I have never had an account with *** and I have never had an account with ***. I have already reached out to a lawyer for assistance with this and I am awaiting a response from them.
