Jefferson purchased a debt from Verizon Wireless that originated in 2015/2016. They are stating that the original start date of delinquency is June of 2019. This is false. I’ve heard many many stories and recounts of individuals having the same issue. This is not correct.

Jefferson Capital put a collection on my credit reports without my knowledge and in doing so, this violated the FDCPA Collection Practice by placing a collection account on my credit report without sending a letter to me. There is no verification from Texas Secretary of State that they are registered in the state of Texas which is against the FDCPA. Based on my credit report were I obtained Jefferson's information they stated that they are collecting on behalf of Verizon Wireless. However, there's no documentation that I owe Verizon wireless and I was approved for new service with Verizon on 10/11/19 Application Number ***.
I am requesting that Jefferson Capital verify the following information.
1. Full original Account Number
2. Date original Account was opened
3. Any written agreements between myself and the original creditor stating this debt are owed
4. A full account summary and itemized calculation of alleged debt
5. Date of the first delinquency
6. Dates and times of any phone calls made and to what number in an attempt to contact me concerning the alleged debt before it was reported to an agency, and so proving that these calls were made in the times governed by FDCPA law.
If Jefferson Capital Systems is unable to provide the above identifying account information, this account must be deleted from all CRAs.
Jefferson Capital Systems also failed to follow FDCPA by not sending a letter giving the consumer time to dispute or validate the alleged debt within the allowed 30-day time frame that is allowed by law.

Jefferson capital has a collection on my credit that is 7 years old but are saying it’s only 4 and it doesn’t belong to me. i’ve tried settling with them but wouldn’t give me documentation to do so. i’d like this removed from my credit.

I received notice that Jefferson Capital was on my report for a verizon bill from 4 years ago, I have not received any notice of this and at the time the bill was not what is being shown. I cont a.c ted Jefferson Capital but was told they dont hold my account that Diversified has it and gave me a number to call. I proceeded to contact them and ask for verification of this debt, I asked if I owed the debt which was not that amount, could I receive a letter of deletion, he proceeded to tell me that they dont make that decision, that I would have to pay the amount in full and then they would email jefferson capital requesting a letter. I dont understand how one person is listed as the collections but you try and call and another company has it,that's not listed. Still can not get them to verify the account or send me the information on where this was opened and validate the balance. I am aggravated as I'm trying to work with them but its difficult when your being sent to numerous agencies, yet Jefferson is showing the agency with the collection.

This collection has been on my credit for some time. Despite having not received anything in writing from JCS, I have reached out after seeing this collection on my report and have received nothing in return.

This company gave a poor report on my credit report without contacting me directly. Said I had a verizon account in the rears? I have nothing against Verizon but I have been with AT&T for 14 plus years. I have nothing in Verizon, not phone, internet, or tv. I had a 800 credit score and without even a phone call to give me a chance to say hey, I do not have an account with them, they trash my credit score. $114.00 really?
If you would of called and said you were hitting my credit, I would off probably paid the $114 even though it wasn't mine to pay.
It is sad when a company is allowed to screw with hard working tax paying Americans.
I'm putting the last of my five kids through college and thanks to a irresponsible report, loans just got more expensive not to mention my insurance rates will increase.
I did file disputes but of corse they haven't been answered yet? Even if they do eventually answer it will take years to regain what you at Jefferson Capital Systems knocked down is seconds.
Thank you for being such an awesome supporter of the issues with the reporting system in whole. If it isn't too much to ask, can you answer the phone once in a while or provide an email so a complaint could be heard.
The email provided on the Revdex.com website, where you ask consumers to contact you directly before posting a review... It doesn't work, because I tried to dispute this directly before writing a review. I'm not a hypocrite, I wanted to give you the chance to defend your action unlike you provided me.
Darryl N. B
This account is not mine and despite multiple attempts to the creditor and the collection agency they have failed to respond to certified letters and I wish to get these removed and deleted off of my report.

Jefferson capital has put an account for verizon wireless on my credit report. This account is unknown to me. I sent a letter almost 2 months ago asking for verification- no response. This is illegal in more way than one. If they do not delete this I will be contacting an attorney.

They added collection to my credit reports without my knowledge! I checked & can't verify their registration in California! BOTH are FDCPA violations!
Jefferson Capital put collection on my credit reports without my knowledge and in doing so, this violated the FDCPA Collection Practice by placing a collection account on my credit report without sending a letter to me. Collection was incorrectly sent to Jefferson Capital Systems from Verizon after Verizon had agreed to nullify my contract after I moved to a location where Verizon did not provide service. Jefferson Capital aggressively and repeatedly contacted me asking me to pay this debt when I explained to them that it was not valid (according to Verizon's own contract). The last time I spoke with Jefferson Capital, I offered a resolution which they refused. Now they are reporting this account to the credit agencies and using it as leverage against me. I am very disturbed by their lack of reason in this matter and now it is unjustly affecting me.

I have received notice that Jefferson Capital Systems has purchased an old settled debt from Verizon Wireless. Verizon Wireless, the original debtor, had concluded after their investigation that the account in question I was not responsible for and provided me with a letter stated the results of the investigation and the collection account was settled. This account was settled earlier this year and was removed from my credit file. This third party has purchased an old settled debt, and re-entered the previously settled account back on my file. I was NEVER notified via mail and asked to verify the account which violates FCRA and FDCPA

This company has fraudulently claimed I owe money. I contacted the originating provider and was told there was no such account. When I confronted this company about this fraudulent charge they hung up on me.

I have not received following information:
The name and address of the original creditor, the account number, and the amount owed.
Verification that there is a valid basis for claiming I am required to pay the current amount owed.
Details about the age and amount of the debt including a copy of the last billing statement from the original creditor; a detailed explanation any interest added or payments made since the last billing statement and the legal authorization for this interest; the date the original creditor claims this debt became delinquent; the itemized calculation of alleged debt; Any written agreements between myself and the original creditor stating this debt is owed; Dates and times of any phone calls made and to what number in attempt to contact me concerning the alleged debt before it was reported to an agency, and so proving that these calls were made in the times governed by FDCPA law. Also the spelling of the name on the account.
Whether this debt is within the statute of limitations and how that was determined.
Details about your authority to collect this debt: whether you are licensed in my state and if so provide the date of the license, name on the license, license number, and the license number, and the name, address and telephone number of the state agency issuing the license. If you are contacting me from outside my state, provide the licensing information from your state as well.
The charge off date listed on the letter is 11/24/2014 However the date listed on my credit report is 02/13/2017.
Also the name on the account on which you claim I owe is spelled incorrectly from my actual name.

I have sent multiple letters to this company with an offer to pay an old debt. I have also called the phone numbers I have found online multiple times to get this resolved. I am currently in the process of attempting to purchase a house and this company is holding me up by not allowing me to work with them on getting the credit handled. I need this resolved as soon as possible.

2 collection accounts were added to my credit report from Jefferson Capital System. The accounts are listed as Verizon Wireless and Exeter Finance. I have no knowledge of either of these accounts and have not been able to successfully validate these charges with either of the original companies. I do not believe the accounts belonged to me, and since each credit bureau has documented incidences of identity theft, I have serious concerns about the validity of these charges. I was not given notice that the collections were being added to my account, and the dates have consistently changed by Jefferson Capitol Systems to make the debts seem newer, which are FDCPA violations. Plus there is NO verification from the Georgia Secretary of State that they are registered in the State of Georgia which is also against the FDCPA. I am requesting that Jefferson Capitol verify the following information for both debts. 1. Full original account numbers 2. Date original accounts were opened 3. Any written agreements between myself and the original creditor stating these debts are owed 4. Full account summary and itemized calculation of alleged debts 5. Dates of the first delinquencies 6. Dates and times of any phone calls made and to what number in attempt to contact me concerning the alleged debt before it was reported to an agency, and so proving that these calls were made in the times governed by FDCPA law. Jefferson Capital Systems also failed to follow FDCPA by not sending a letter giving the me time to dispute or validate the alleged debt within the allowed 30-day time frame that is allowed by law. If Jefferson Capital Systems is unable to provide the above identifying account information, these collections must be immediately deleted from all 3 credit reporting agencies.

Attachment:
I have contacted them on 3 separate occasions over the last year and disputed a debt that Verizon Wireless sold them. I have requested proof that this debt is valid. Jefferson Capital has never been able to provide me with anything. I have spoken to Verizon and they have no history of me having a outstanding bill with them. I have disputed it with the 3 credit bureaus as well. I am requesting this be immediately deleted from my credit reports as it still showing up as a collection account - disputed. After further research online and getting help information from a friend that is an attorney I was told to file a Revdex.com complaint. My next step would be to hire an attorney that handles this type of situation. This is the only adverse item on my credit report and it is not even a valid debt of mine.

Jefferson Capitol re-added an account to my credit report after it was removed from my credit report and stated that the account was open in 9/2019. This should be considered as fraud due to 1) The start date they entered was false 2) If it was removed from the credit report they cannot add it back 3) they acquired the debt over 2 years ago.
