Jefferson Capital put a collection on my credit reports of ***, ***,and *** without my knowledge and in doing so this violated the FDCPA Collection Practice by placing a collection account on my credit report that was previously deleted and removed. I received no notification letter or email of this discrepancy being added to my credit report nor the allowed 30 day time frame allowed by the FDCPA Law to dispute or validate debts. There is also no verification from the *** that Jefferson Capital is registered in Pennsylvania which is also against the FDCPA Laws. I have no knowledge of this account and its balance which is a FDCPA violation. I request that Jefferson Capital verify the following information and remove the account from all Credit Reporting Agency's.
1. Full Original Account Number
2. Date Original Account Was Opened
3. Any written agreements between myself and the original creditor stating this debt is owed.
4. Full Account summary and itemized calculation of alleged debt.
5. Date of first delinquency
6. Dates and times of any phone calls,email, and letters sent to contact me concerning the alleged debt before it was reported to an agency, and so proving that these calls were made in times governed by FDCPA Law.
Jefferson Capital has failed and violated many FDCPA Law's in the mishandling of this false account.

Acts like a Scam or Phishing Action. No professionalism whatsoever. Will litigate if I can get enough information on them as I have never had any accounts with Verizon. This company illegally has a pattern of trying to collect on "Written Off" accounts which they get to keep any or all of the recovery again an illegal practice in my state see "Predatory Collections".
My identity was stolen I became aware when I ordered my annual credit reports, please remove the unauthorized accounts on my credit. This account does not belong to me, this false account is affecting my credit score and creditworthiness. Please help me with this problem. This is a fraud account please remove from my credit report. This account doesn't belong to me.

They added collection to my credit reports without my knowledge! I checked & can't verify their registration in South Carolina BOTH are FDCPA violations!
Jefferson Capital put collection on my credit reports without my knowledge and in doing so, this violated the FDCPA Collection Practice by placing a collection account on my credit report without sending a letter to me. Plus there is NO verification from the SC Secretary of State that they are registered in South Carolinawhich is also against the FDCPA!
I request that Jefferson Capitol verify the following information.
1. Full original Account Number
2. Date original Account was opened
3. Any written agreements between myself and the original creditor stating this debt is owed
4. Full account summary and itemized calculation of alleged debt
5. Date of the first delinquency
6. Dates and times of any phone calls made and to what number in attempt to contact me concerning the alleged debt before it was reported to an agency, and so proving that these calls were made in the times governed by FDCPA law.
If Jefferson Capital Systems is unable to provide the above identifying account information, this account must be deleted from all CRAs.
Jefferson Capital Systems also failed to follow FDCPA by not sending a letter giving the consumer time to dispute or validate the alleged debt within the allowed 30-day time frame that is allowed by law.

Jefferson Capital Systems illegally hurt my credit scores and reports on April of 2019. They have not once furnished me with documentation regarding anything and have not responded to my inquires. This complaint will mark the start of a 30 day window. If nothing has changed at that time than legally I will pursue all damages I am entitled to which will roughly equal the latest reported balance multiplied by months on credit report plus attorney fees. I paid my account in full on 11 November 2019 and was given a reference confirmation number. Jefferson Capital refuses to give me a letter indicating my account was paid in full. I have personally spoken with Jerri on November 11, 14, 18, 2019 and she indicated that I would get a settlement letter. I called back on November 21, 2019 and spoke to Mr.. He said that I will need to email them and request a letter. I sent an email and have not received a response. However, as of November 25, 2019, I still have not received a paid in full settlement letter.

I pulled down my credit report the first time in about 12 years a few months ago. I notices a derogatory mark from this company on behalf of something called Fingerhut. It stated I owed this company a certain amount a loan or something. I have never heard of Fingerhut personally, so I looked online to see what it is and found out it is a online shopping club of some sort
Since I never even heard of this company before, let alone get a loan or credit card from them, I disputed it on all three bureaus and ask for PROOF not VALIDATION of this debt and PROOF not VALIDATION it was mine. The amount is small, and if I thought it potentially could of bee mine, I would of been happy to pay it. The amount is not that high. But it is obviously enough to make a significant drop in my credit which I thought was not right which is why I filing this complaint. I should not suffer a huge hit on my credit for a debt I never did.
So I asked for PROOF, and they just send me VALIDATION... that they research and validated the debt. No PROOF like I asked. I would be more than happy to pay it if they can show me it is valid. Something with my signature on it, a copy of my ID.. Something showing me that I did have this debt and I got amnesia of some sort.
Long story short. .. there is a debt hurting my credit I did not do. And they are making me do more to try to get me to convince them is was not my debt, than they are trying to convince me and show PROOF, not VALIDATION, that it.
Businesses should not be able to treat people like that.

This agency is reporting information to all three credit bureaus, even after it was determined that the accounts could not be verified, nor validated as mine through internal bureau investigation(s) after my file had become compromised with Equifax. Here lately, they have added an account, with no account number, just the name of the original vendor and is currently being reported to TransUnion. This action came immediately after other erroneous accounts (reported by their company, two in total not counting the recently added one) had been deleted. Their actions are very questionable, and obviously reporting information for someone with a similar name, or worse!

I reviewed my credit reports with all 3 major agency's. I disputed this account with the original creditor as identity theft and the account was deleted off all 3 credit reports. However Jefferson Capital Systems still added the collection to my account. Even though this was added to my account only a few months ago it appears Jefferson Capital Systems has sent this debt off to Total Card Inc collection company. This has caused hardship and issues with my credit. I don't understand how the original creditor can fix the mistake but Jefferson Capital Systems can put it back on my credit reports as a collection account. Jefferson Capital has sued me, taken me to court over a credit card debt (Tribute credit card). The judge sided with them 2 years ago, when I had no income (SSI case pending). I now have a part time job at Brinks. They found this out & sent me paperwork stating that they would garnish my wages unless I paid using their calculated form. I followed their guidelines, filled out the form, faxed it back to them & paid the 1st payment. I was told the supervisor would call me back to set up payment arrangements (told me they'd be about $100/mo). Never received a call back. The payment was credited back to my account (per Paypal), then 2 days later, debited. I called & left several messages but never received any call backs as to an explanation or what schedule I would be set up on. Over a month went by & now suddenly I received paperwork in the mail from my employer, Brinks, about garnishment of wages to begin per their paperwork guidelines. 1 day later my paycheck (weekly) was garnished with a completely different amount than what I had agreed to AND SIGNED TO, $20 more. My second paycheck has now been garnished with yet another amount, even higher than the first amount withdrawn. This is a part time job. I never received any new updated paperwork stating what will be withdrawn, NOR did I agree to garnishment in the first place! The payment arrangements were supposed to be made TO AVOID GARNISHMENT! What they did is completely unethical, and COMPLETELY AGAINST ANYTHING I HAD SIGNED TO, AND I NEVER RECEIVED A COPY OF WHAT THEY SENT TO BRINKS NOR WAS I INFORMED THIS WAS HAPPENING!!!!!! I AM LIVID!!! THEY WILL NOT RETURN MY CALLS!!! I can only call early in the morning or late at night as I'm not allowed access to cell phone use at work. Please help!

I had to cancel my contract with verizon wireless on 12/17/2014 due to moving out of the country. I paid verizon the last bill over the phone, but they would not allow me to pay for the cancellation fee for breaking the contract. I was ready and willing to pay, but they said the contract has been cancelled and is not payable. I was shocked. Two to three years later, I find out Verizon sent me to a collection agency called Jfferson Capital Systems, I have excellent credit personally and professionally until they did this. I tried unsuccessfully to contact Jefferson and have not been able to reach someone to ask them to remove this fraudulent account collection.

It has been brought to my attention that I owe Jefferson Capital Collection agency a debt..I also recieved zero letters from Jefferson Capital..Informing me of this alleged debt...that I have zero knowledge of this ..after reaching out to the debt agency and CRA to verify my actual signatures ..they have failed to do so..I have zero knowledge of this account...and I want Jefferson Capital to remove me from their file and communicate this with the Credit report agencies immediately so they can get this off my credit reports as I have zero knowledge or responsible for this debt.

On 11/15/19 I received a call from this business. I rejected the call and I did not receive a voicemail so there is no reason to contact me. I called the number back to verify who it is and it leads to Jefferson Capital LLC. There is no reason for a debt collector to call me because my social and credit reports are clear so anything in my name is none of my business.
