They called me Friday Sept. 26 and said they would replace the TV. My credit was at hhgregg the next day, where I purchased a new TV and it was delivered Tuesday.
FYII to hhgregg, I would not purchase a protection plan on a TV anywhere again (not just at hhgregg) unless it was a "replace only" plan, for this reason: The TV less than 2 years ago was $850 on sale, and I think the regular price was $979 or approximately. The protection plan was $250 and if the TV had been repaired it would have taken a month so that's about $160 for a rental TV, making my cost $410. The current model of the same size TV is now $679 regular price. So if the TV had been repaired, I would rather have put that $410 towards the new TV, which always get better such as the refresh rate, rather than fixing an old TV. It worked out in the end only because they replaced the TV. I upgraded from the 55 inch to 60 inch which was $929.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted].  I had also notified my credit card company and they credited me back the charge HH Gregg had charged me.  As long as they do not claim to have sent me the product and attempt to charge me again, I find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait to see what the business does and, if it does attempt to charge me back, will consider this complaint resolved.

Here is the response for [redacted]'s complaint.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that the response would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I received a call from Ryan on 8/20/15 and given the number 317-848-8720, extension 60263.  I have  called the number numerous times, however there is no option for me to enter an extension. They are constantly "receiving heavy call volume". I finally decided to wait it out and after sitting on  hold for over 25 minutes I was disconnected.  The original tablet was returned for a credit, however my issue was that I wanted a replacement sent and no one at HH Gregg was able to help me with that purchase.  I was promised, multiple times, that Rhonda would call me back, she never did.  When I asked for the name of her supervisor, I was told that she did not have a supervisor and that I needed to be patient, she would call me back.  It has now been 26 days since I was told to wait for her call.   I have multiple screen shots showing that an error message was received every time I tried to order on line.  The customer service reps who attempted to help me received the same messages.   On August 5, I went into a store, purchased the tablet using my HH Gregg credit card, drove to UPS, where they packed it up and mailed it for me.  So I was unable to take advantage of the “Free Shipping” you were offering but at least UPS was able to actually ship the item, something HH Gregg was incapable of doing.

Dishwasher delivery was scheduled for Saturday, they did not show. Rescheduled with automated system for Wednesday ( day before Thanksgiving), called to confirm and they did not have it in the system. Now scheduled for this Saturday - hopefully they'll show.

As indicated on the back of our invoices, the return period is 30 days from the date of purchase.It is our understanding that the third-party delivery contractor denied the claim because a service provider replaced parts in the range between the original installation and the date of her claim. On 4/6/18, we went to our local H H Gregg store at their request (by telephone on 4/5). We were asked to look over their display and find a comparable mattress. When the manager spoke with us, he suggested we look at the Tempurpedic, which we told him was completely out of our budget. He left to make a phone call. After a time, he returned to tell us that Serta was going to build another Prodigy Everfeel for us, which would take 2 to 3 weeks. Someone would be in touch. We were very satisfied, but asked for this in writing. He told us we'd get verification by email. We have not yet received any written verification, and are very reluctant to consider this verbal promise a permanent resolution due to past history.
