I began an online purchase from HHGregg.com. During the transaction, it offered to me to apply for an HH Gregg credit card to get financing on this purchase. It mis-leads the customer appearing that I can get the card and apply it to this transaction. However, after applying to the credit card and getting approved, it then said I could not get the account number and would have to visit a store to get it. No stores in the area have this item. They would then have to enter an online transaction for me (if that's even possible) and it defeats the entire purpose of my transaction online. More importantly, it was completely mis-leading and false claims that I could get and use the credit card for the transaction benefiting from the financing option.
There is a particular sale that I want to use now that stops me from waiting a week for the credit card. No one has been helpful or competent from HH Gregg in this transaction. Synchrony Bank took 5 people and 3 calls to get a clear explanation that I didn't like, but at least made some sense.
I am now attempting to cancel my credit card with Synchrony Bank and to avoid any transactions with HH Gregg in the future due to these issues.
I would avoid transactions with both companies, even to save a few dollars as the hassle is not worth it!

Our records indicate that Ms. [redacted] purchased an FPWT2-5 service plan. Television service plans sold in our stores do not offer the Accidental Damage from Handling coverage enhancement.
If the coverage has not been used, she may be eligible for a cancellation of the coverage and a prorated refund. If she would like to request a cancellation, we request that she fill out the enclosed form and mail it to the address at the bottom of the form.
