I purchased an extended warranty through HH Gregg for a GE range which only covered the heating element. After 2 yrs, 2 months, the heating element failed. I was told by the HH Gregg extended warranty company that the part was covered but had to be approved by them. They scheduled the technician (whom they chose) for a service call. The technician confirmed the heating element needing replacing. When I called the HH Gregg extended warranty company, they said the part was covered by GE warranty and they would not cover it. I called the number to GE (given to me by HH Gregg) - and was told the range that I owned had only a one year warranty and they would not cover it. I called back to HH Gregg warranty and was told I would need to have GE fax over proof that the part was not covered. I called GE and asked that they fax over a statement that the part was not covered. I will now need to follow up with HH Gregg warranty service again to see if they will now cover the part. They had said it would take a few days for it to show in their system. The consumer should not have to carry the burden to verify warranty coverage between the appliance manufacturer and HH Gregg warranty.

I bought a refrigerator from hhgreg on outer loop for $930 and paid $79 dollars to have it delivered. When they dropped it off after leaving I noticed the door did not seal I called hhgreg back and after talking to them about 3 times they finally sent out a service tech. Once he got to my house 2 days later he looked at it and said that was the best he can do... He didn't even do anything. I called hhgreg back and told them if they couldn't fix right or replace I wanted my money back so they sent me a new one out 3 days later. This time the guys who dropped it off pinched my brand new floor I just out down. I called yet again to complain about my floor and they took my information and said they repair company would contact me with in 2 days that was about 2 weeks ago and I still never received that call so I replaced the pinch myself so there's more time and money out of my own pocket. The only help I got was I called back to the store to complain that I was never offered a warranty when I bought the refrigerator so the manager offered to give me the 5 year for the price of the 3 year but I have not been able to go back yet because half the money I had to buy the warranty I had to spend on repairing my floor.

We are unable to offer any additional store credit. As indicated in the Terms and Conditions for the service plan, authorization of the store credit deems the coverage fulfilled. It cannot be refunded or transferred to the new unit. Additionally, the service plan covers the product only and not the sales tax. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.Ms. [redacted], the response by the executive has been the fundamental problem with this whole process. Warrantech answers their phone as HHGregg warranty; however, they have no interest in helping anyone solve their issues. We have not been able to get any call backs from anyone at Warrantech to complete a transaction. The most help we have received is from Amanda at the local store who has also written to the corporate office twice on our behalf, and has also not gotten a response. If needed, I can go through the call logs of me and my husband's phones to provide dates and times these calls have been made with yet no resolution. I work in customer service everyday and it is very simple that you assist the customer who has purchased a product and provide service. This has not been done and I am extremely disappointed that after almost a month, nothing has been done. Proof of purchase was sent to Warrantech on 10/1/16. That proof of purchase has the refrigerator and model number present, as well as the proof of the warranty plan as it was also purchased. If HHGregg's warranty department can not fulfill their promises, then I suggest they invest in another warranty company.
It is now going on one month, and I still have the same problem with my refrigerator that is not working even though I have a warranty plan that has not provided service or a replacement. I am not satisfied with the response. If I can not get my refrigerator repaired or replaced in the next 24 hours, please let me know who and where I need to escalate further.

As indicated in the Terms and Conditions for service plans purchased in our stores, the coverage period begins on the date of purchase. The service plans offer coverage that manufacturer’s warranties may not, such as power surge protection.
In the interest of good customer relations, we can offer to sell her a new television at cost, which is a discounted price. If she would like to take advantage of this offer, we request that she take this letter to the store management and make the purchase in the next 60 days.

I have attempted to call Whitney back at the number left. 317-848-1517 ext. 64258. This number does not allow an extension to be entered. I tried to reach a customer service person but was only able to reach automated choices. I then tried to call back on the number Whitney called from and no one answered during regular business hours. It has taken 2 months to receive a response. I have been buying bag after bag of ice in an attempt to store my food. This has been an absolute nightmare. I have contacted the media, and the consumer reporting agent is investigating. I can only imagine how many more extremely unsatisfied customers were duped into thinking they were protected, only to learn their PREMIUM Service Warranty had expired a 364 days early.
