closed account, several things could happen:- The bank may hold onto the funds until you contact them.- The bank may issue a check for the payment amount and send it to the last known address on file.- The bank may bounce funds back to us.- If the debit card has changed, but the bank account is still active, the funds may be routed to the correct account. Please note, bank processes can take several days, to a few weeks to resolve. Square was unable to locate a Square account associated with this name and email address. If you could provide the name and email address on the account of which you are inquiring, Square can further assist you.

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:Again, we are not getting to the root issue.  My account was supposed to be unlocked quite a while back.  The account is linked and verified and there is no way to do it again as the only option is to delete all the verified info and reverify, which I will not do as we no longer have business except you giving my customers what you owe.  I had over $300 in there, I processed nearly $500 in refunds, yet my balance is negative $52 AND all of the refunds have been denied...that makes NO SENSE!  I was never asked to relink and that is just ridiculous as it IS linked and verified and you magically were making deposits up until the day your company decided they didn't want my business.
Look at all of these complaints...obviously there are issues not being resolved.  Again, your company will have to deal with the chargebacks and I will have to deal with negative publicity due to your company's lack of responsiveness.  If someone would actually take a phone call or answer an email this could have all been resolved, but I have not had 1 single emailed returned EVER from Square in nearly a year of trying.  I am not "allowed" to call as I cannot get a code because my account is inactive.  This is no way to try to run a business.
Sincerely,Allison [redacted]

Please refer to the following email sent to you on [redacted] 10:Hello [redacted], We’re sorry to inform you that we are deactivating your account. Our Account Services team reviewed your account and found a pattern of transactions associated with high-risk activity. For further information about our policies, you can review section 36 of the Square Payment Terms. We regret that, starting today, you will no longer be able to process transactions using Square. Any funds currently in your account will be held for 90 days before being released to your linked bank account. If you’d prefer to receive funds more quickly, you should consider refunding the payments back to the original cards and seeking alternate forms of payment. (Please note that we will refund all the fees, too.)Refunds are available within 60 days of the original payment. To process a refund, log in to the Square dashboard.Use the date selector tool to locate the specific payment.Click the payment you'd like to refund, then click "Issue Refund".Select the reason you're refunding the payment, and click "Issue Refund."Unfortunately, our decision to deactivate your account is final. Due to security reasons and the obligations of our agreements with card networks and other financial institutions, we cannot reverse this decision and are unable to provide additional details. Again, we apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.Sincerely,Square Account Services

the app that the payment was successful. A good way to confirm this is by checking your online Square Dashboard. Also note that payment processing can be interrupted due to a loss of network connectivity from an incoming call, text message or weak network connection. When processing a payment, always make sure you have a strong 3G/Internet connection.

Allow me to clarify: Your friend has two Cash accounts with two different bank accounts linked. For ex: Cash Account #1 has bank A attached and Cash Account #2 has bank B attached. You sent two payments, one was sent to Account #1 and the other to Account #2. You can confirm this with your transaction history. To view your transaction history in the Cash app:1. Tap the clock icon in the top-right corner of the screen.2. Tap on a name to view your activity with this person.3. To see specific payment details, tap a payment.I do not see any error message of the funds not being paid out, they were both successful.

Bank Account VerificationIf your bank account verification failed, you’ll see an alert in your dashboard in the Bank Accounts section. There are a few scenari** that can cause your bank verification to fail:Non-transactional Bank AccountSquare doesn't support non-transactional bank accounts – they don't allow funds to be debited. Square must be able to credit and debit funds from your account, in the event of a chargeback or refund.Bank Account TypoTyp** in your routing or account number can cause bank verification to fail. Double check your account information and carefully re-enter it. You may need to contact your bank to confirm your routing and account numbers. You'll need at least $1.00 in your bank account before you begin the verification process. If your verification has failed due to insufficient funds, make sure you have at least $1.00 in your account and re-enter your account information.

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:  I want a answer as to why they think they could benefit financially for almost a year, by illegally holding money which they had no legal or contractual right to with hold, and chose to ignore 50+ emails over that time period?

YOU ILLEGALLY WITHHELD MONEY DUE TOO ME, FOR 10 MONTHS, WHICH NOTHING IN THE USER TERMS AGREEMENT ALLOWS YOU
TO EVEN CLOSE TO DOING.
SQUARE INC. WILLFULLY IGNORED 50 EMAILS OVER THAT TIME, AS I HAVE THE READ RECEIPTS TO PROVE THEY IN FACT HAD
BEEN OPENED AND LOOKED AT,AND EARNED PROFIT FROM THIS ILLEGAL ACTIVITY.

…..AND YOU “APPRECIATE MY PATIENCE AND APOLOGIZE AGAIN FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE THIS MAY HAVE CAUSED”

1. THIS IS CALLED THEFT. LARCENY.
2. THIS IS CALLED BUSINESS FRAUD.
3. THIS IS CALLED MONEY LAUNDERING.
4. WHEN SOMEONE OR SOME COMPANY, BY DEFINITION, STEALS OR ROBS YOU…THERE IS NO APPRECIATING NOR PATIENCE!
5. IF SOMEONE STEALS YOUR CAR, MONTHS LATER GETS CAUGHT, DO THEY SAY TO YOU SORRY FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE THIS
MAY HAVE CAUSED?

     NO…THIS WASN’T A “INCONVENIENCE” THIS WAS A ‘CRIME’!

Now this same response was emailed to me at 2:30pm,on [redacted] 5th which at
that time the account block should have immediately been removed and gave
plenty of time to be sent by the 5pm deposit cutoff on [redacted] 5th.

Yet, as of [redacted] 6th, 1:09pm I see NO such thing has happened!!

Even after requesting instant deposit, which should have automatically been
a option.

But again,... I guess corporate or large business crimes are not actually
against the law...just more of against the convenience of the victims..?

Sincerely, (Ha Yeah Right)

Plaintiff

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:

I have contacted the Revdex.com for a reason of showing that this is not correct. The first response I received told me that there was a charge for ct water $80 that authorization charge put my account in a negative. By the app and my own accounting I have never been negative and had no reason to be. As stated in my original post there was never a time that I was near a negative. I am now late on my rent and facing eviction because of Square. I have yet to receive the full accounting that I asked for that proves their statements. First it was the $80 ct water authorization charge now it’s a $55 charge from Walmart both of which do not explain a negative $32 dollars. My app doesn’t ever show a negative balance as they state. I want my money back and a full accounting of my account. I have shown my side. Between their customer service and now Revdex.com this will be the 19th time I’ve contacted square. I am being ignored now by Square. They have never contacted again after multiple attempts. What kind of customer service is that. They have not fully explained the situation and my only recourse was to contact the Revdex.com for yet another excuse and still no proof of their claim of why they took my money. This also doesn’t resolve the fact of my eviction because of their mistake either in their accounting or their app. I am never negative. They can check the amount of money I have deposited since I have been a customer. Never have I been negative. I have no reason to be. Again I want a full accounting statement of my account showing the negative that they claim and a detailed explanation or my money back. And since after 19 inquiries and several different stories from Square it is obvious that they have no explanation and continue to ignore me at every request for such and are stealing my money.

Sincerely,[redacted]

Hello,
Upon further investigation, a member of Square's Support Team has been communicating with you through email regarding this matter. The issue described was thoroughly investigated by the representative from Square. The last message...

sent to you on August 14, 2015 stated "you're welcome to refund any payments that have been processed within 60 days. In addition we're happy to review anything over the phone".
If you continue to experience problems with the matter discussed, please contact the representative from Square through email or contact them by phone as instructed in the last message sent to you by Square's Support Team.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 12, 2015/09/03) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The representative who emailed me did not acknowledge the duplicate $1. transaction and if I were to put in refund for the test transactions it would only refund the ones he acknowledged. I have proof on my bank statements which I provided to that person - he didn't acknowledge the 2nd bank involved in the transactions. This is only about $1. so it isn't the money - it is the PRINCIPLE OF THE MATTER.

I already did that before I filed this Revdex.com complaint and they told me there was nothing more they could do, I told them them that I would have to file Revdex.com complaint and they acknowledged what I said!

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)Square should keep its promise to its consumers. They are lying to their consumers. I have not received 1 or several readers they claimed to put in the mail. The stores I went to were sold out of the readers. The options you gave me were not sufficient. Take responsibility! Other card reader companies got their readers to the address I provided square, in half the estimated time!BE ACCOUNTABLE SQUARE! STOP THIS CHILDNESS! KEEP YOUR PROMISE! Seems like no one at Revdex.com is doing their part either to address this situation...

Hello,
After taking a look at the information you gave us, Square believes that these transactions were part of a stolen credit card scam and would very likely result in a chargeback. Square wants to prevent you from having to deal with a chargeback dispute, so you were told to refund these...

payments as soon as possible.
Here are a few things you can do to protect your business from credit card scams:* Never send money to a third party (such as a driver, shipping company, previous homeowner, etc) at your customer’s request.* Double-check the billing zip code(s) against the shipping zip code provided. Be cautious if the codes are far from each other, especially if they’re in different states.* Never use a money transfer service, such as Western Union or Moneygram, or send a bank transfer at your customer’s request.* Request a copy of the customer’s driver’s license and credit card to verify that the name of your customer matches the name on the card.
