Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2015/12/14) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Hello,
I'm not sure if I'm addressing the Revdex.com or Facebook, but either way I first noticed my privacy settings had been violated on November 20, 2015. I went back and realized the first violation was 11/7/15, then again on 11/19/15 and twice on 11/20/15. I then updated my privacy settings on 11/21/15. I spent over an hour recreating a list of people who I didn't want to de-friend, I just didn't want to have the ability to comment on my posts or view them. I then triple checked on my computer and mobile device to ensure they had been correctly updated.
Then on 11/24/15 individuals from that list liked and posted on two of my posts. I noticed on 11/25/15 and deactivated.
There was also another instance prior to 11/20/15 I believe (it could have been in the middle), however, I deleted those posts so I was unable to access them to provide dates.
I had not gone in to my privacy settings in any way outside of the days where I had to update my privacy settings when I realized they had been completely deleted so it had to be something on Facebook's end.
I can provide screenshots of the names that were added to that list and the posts they liked, but there isn't an option for that here.
Thank you

Hi [redacted],
Screenshots of the list of names and the posts that were liked by people that were like by people on the list would be fantastic. After you provide these screenshots, we should be able to further assist you with this issue.
I'm going to create a new channel for us to correspond with so you can easily attach screenshots. Please keep an eye out for an email from us.
Happy Holidays!

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (2000, 9, 2016/02/09) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
Hello Meryl,
While I accept your reply, a couple of things should seriously be considered by Facebook's owner, [redacted]:
1) For prevention of Identity theft, allow [redacted] names instead of their real name ... easy pickings for phishers. The only person that may need the real name would be facebook personnel, but not the whole world. The person creating the account can contact his real friends via inbox and tell them who they are to become fb friends.
2) Be much more concerned with profanity and [redacted] pics on the site than a decent fb page that uses a [redacted] name
3) If you continue to demand users to use their first and last name, then it should be mandatory for employers (like yourself, Meryl) to disclose your true identity in the form of first and last name. Why don't you? It's a little eerie giving my ID info to a person that I cannot prove is who they say that they are.
4) If first and last names are truly a huge issue, there would not be so very MANY MANY MANY people on their using harmless [redacted] names. I should have been allowed to continue to use Godis Good or [redacted].
I am thankful for the avenue to be able to connect with friends, family, and promote events to targeted audiences on Facebook. Thank you, sincerely, for that!
Should you change your mind and allow me to use [redacted] again, just let me know and I will change it for the final time. There are quite a lot of [redacted]'s already on there with no one forcing them to change their name, so am not at all sure why I was targeted. My wall is 100% harmless.
Thank you for your brief response to my lengthy letters.
Kind Regards,
[redacted]

Hi [redacted],
I'd be happy to assist you today.
Unfortunately, we are not able to refund these charges. Our records show that you previously disputed charges and as a courtesy we issued a one-time refund along with providing you information...

on keeping your account secure and how to avoid unauthorized purchases. When you received the refund, it was stated that we would be unable to issue a refund again for purchases made under the same conditions. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
When you make a purchase, you agree to our Terms and Conditions by clicking the 'Buy' button. Our Payment Terms are always available for review at:
http://www.facebook.com/payments_terms/
To avoid future accidental or unauthorized charges, you may consider removing your payment method from this account. To edit or remove payment methods, follow these instructions:
1) Go to "Account Settings" in the "Account" drop-down menu on the top right of your home page
2) Click "Payments"
3) Next to "Payment Methods", click "Manage".
You will then be able to edit or remove payment methods from your account.

The issue before was because I left my Facebook open and my 6 year old son decided to start clicking on things. That was accidental. This issue was caused by my 16 year old babysitter who stoled my debit card and made these purchases. So I can't see how it is the same thing. I didn't give her permission.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 9, 2015/08/26) */
Hi [redacted],
It looks like a family member or someone you may know personally made these unauthorized charges. Because our Payment Terms don't allow for refunds in this case, I'm unable to issue you one.
You can learn more about refunds in our Payment Terms:

To make it easy to make payments on Facebook, we store your payment information for future purchases. If you'd like to remove any credit cards or PayPal accounts listed on your account, visit the Help Center:

So under your payment terms it says this "If you are under the age of eighteen (18), you may use Facebook Payments only with the involvement of your parent or guardian. Make sure you review these Terms with your parent or guardian so that you both understand all of your rights and responsibilities."
The girl was 16 and made these purchases without my permission. No where in your terms does it say anything about not being able to get a refund. I didn't make these purchases and I want a refund.

First of all, thank you to Revdex.com and Facebook for making sure someone answered my question - however, Facebook states that this issue has now been resolved, but nothing has happened? (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Thank you for your efforts!
We are still experiencing problems. Although merging the pages seem to give us a boost in likes and check-ins, it does not necessarily affect activity that happens after the merge. This means that check-ins from this morning appear on the auto-generated page as opposed to ours.
All weekend (4th of December-6th) all check-ins, even on the auto-generated page, showed our page when the cursor hovered over it. Now it is the auto-gen page that shows up again. When testing the check-in feature from an account that does not follow our page, the only option for UN City is the auto-gen page.
Is it possible to get to a long-term solution for this? The merging of pages solution does not seem to stick.
Thank you.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 44, 2015/12/23) */
Hi [redacted],
Thanks for writing back in. Any check-ins to the auto-generated Wiki hub will also show up on your official page, and check-ins should redirect to your official page. If this is not happening, could you please provide screenshots of the problem, so that we can investigate further?
Thanks,

I have attached a screenshot that clearly states that my identity has been verified, there can be no denying nor splitting hairs on the verbage. As I stated, the DOB not matching could be the only sticking point, which I hadnt found out that had been changed by mistake from someone in my home that is why I didnt report it as a legitimate hack. If the DOB needs changed on my account, then either they should do it or grant me access so I can do it. Regardless, the account clearly shows and states that the identity has been verified yet I am still locked out. I am again saying, it should be released. I have escalated this to also a complaint filed yesterday 9/22/2015 with the Attorney General's Office. It is a simple fix that they refuse to do, and I do not accept. I want my account back.

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Ok again "[redacted]", I have attached a screenshot that clearly states that my identity has been verified, there can be no denying nor splitting hairs on the verbage. As I stated, the DOB not matching could be the ONLY sticking point, which I hadn't found out that had been changed by mistake from someone in my home that is why I didn't report it as a legitimate hack. If the DOB needs changed on my account, then either they (Facebook) should do it or grant me access so I can do it. Regardless, the account clearly shows and states that the identity has been verified yet I am still locked out. Now if it is based on the profile picture, again, there are THOUSANDS of pictures in my account that match the identification provided. If it is the DOB, again I have already told Facebook that it had been changed in my profile by one of the children in my home not intentionally to cause harm. I cannot provide the transcript of the convo I had with a minor as it would be breaking privacy laws. So what I am being asked is to guess at a date of birth and provide fraudulent documents. I am again saying, it should be released. I have escalated this to also a complaint filed yesterday 9/22/2015 with the Attorney General's Office. It is a simple fix that they refuse to do, and I do not accept. I want my account back. It is obvious that whomever "[redacted]" is, they are a low level employee that is simply spouting blanket responses in the hopes I will simply get frustrated and go away. Again, like I said I have provided what was asked. The Attorney General's office in the state of California has been made aware of what I call unfair, discriminatory business practices. I think "[redacted]" needs to get his supervisor a copy of all this and get this fixed.
