Endurance Warranty Services Reviews (%countItem)

I received a misleading letter in the mail this week. The letter arrived in an envelope that had 2020 stamped on the outside like it might be a tax document. The letter stated "There will be a Price Increase to our Extended Vehicle Service Plans (EVSP) effective February 6, 2020. After that date we will not be able to honor the service contract pricing designed specifically for your 20-- F F." This language is deceptive. In addition, there is a "Customer Code" listed a few times on the letter which makes you believe you're a customer. This can be especially deceptive if you do have a service plan with another company (that I didn't specifically remember the name of, but that I had paperwork on from when I bought the car), which I did. My service plan is called Vehicle Protection Plan. So you can see how this may be confusing,

My initial reaction was assuming that this was the company I have an extended plan with. "If you're not able to honor the plan I paid for when I purchased my car, then I want my money back." After speaking on the phone with a customer service representative, it became clear that this was misleading that the document was meant as an advertisement. In addition, the support representative told me that there were recalls on my car that there are not.

As far as I'm concerned, Endurance Warranty Services uses deceptive practices in order to pray on people who may not be as keenly aware. The document, in small print, at the bottom, says "This is an advertisement to obtain coverage."

In addition, I used a phone number on their website to opt out of mail/calls in the future. That phone number, which is different from the one on the letter, led me to customer service. Because I was not a customer, they "couldn't find" my information. I had to give them the "customer code" from the letter for them to find my information so that I could be removed.

I'm 36 and grew up with all kinds of Internet scamming. I worry about these letters praying on those who cannot distinguish the difference.

I have never received the letter that was received from ENDURANCE (2020 Vehicle Notification Department), 400 Skokie Blvd, Suite 105, Northbrook, IL 60062 like this before. This is the first time I received the notification. I want to know why anyone who does this sent it to me as this is a scam letter??? And, how does anyone who is involved know who am I or force to notify me about EVSP contract???

We put our vehicle in the shop for a repair. We were informed that the vehicle required replacement of piston rings and spark plugs. We gave the repair facility the contact info for our warranty coverage. We were informed by the repair facility that Endurance asked how much was their hourly fee. Then Endurance told the repair shop "*** of Joliet" 3225 Plainfield Rd. Joliet, IL 60435 (815) 439-2222 to have me drive the vehicle for another thousand miles and then bring it back. I placed a call to Endurance and informed them the vehicle is use to transport my family and with the current temperature at or slightly above freezing, we do not feel safe using this vehicle with the possibility of a breakdown at any given moment. Also it states in the contract book that if you continue driving the vehicle while impaired, Endurance will not be responsibly for any damage to the said vehicle. The is the second time Endurance refused to repair my vehicle. The first time "2017" the alternator failed and Endurance claimed that a oil leak caused the alternator to fail. We paid $3450.00 for this warranty and was assured that anything listed as "covered" in the book would be covered. But this company does everything they can to get out of paying for the covered repairs.

Hello,

At this time Endurance has reached out to the consumer and reached a resolution. The consumer is satisfied with the offer of a full refund less claims paid and said they will be closing out the complaint. We appreciate the consumer for choosing Endurance and ope we can still be considered in the future.

Thank you

This company continues to solicit my home when I have opted out of any solicitation by mail or phone https://www.optoutprescreen.com/contact. Their tactics are deplorable. I got two letters from them, they use many different names and numbers to scam innocent people out of money by claiming you have insurance with them and you MUST call and pay the outstanding amount or that the amount has increased on their already existing insurance. THE TRUTH IS, YOU DO NOT HAVE INSURANCE WITH THEM, nor could you.

They are a phishing company, they use the phone and the mail to see if they can get a check from the elderly or the unsuspecting. Many innocent people are hurt by this scam. They pay monthly payments to a fake business. They need to be stopped.

I have complained before and they get off by saying I'm sorry and continuing to break the law. I have saved all the information and intend to file a lawsuit against their company under Illinois law. I have contacted the AG of Illinois to Kwame *** to proceed with prosecuting this company, because I am on every list that prohibits them from soliciting me PERIOD, not by phone, email, or mail and yet they continue.

Please be advised Endurance vehicle service contracts are offered in over 3,000 automobile dealerships as well as direct-to-consumers via the internet, television commercials and direct mail promotions. Endurance is a certified member of the Vehicle Protection Association (VPA) and has been in business since 2006. As a certified member of the VPA, Endurance follows the VPA’s Standards of Conduct. The Standards state that any vehicle service contract selling company must identify itself in the mail piece and Endurance abides by this standard.

Further, Endurance pays millions of dollars in claims each month for thousands of customers. Endurance's Claims Department has won awards for claim adjudication and customer service and all claims requests are administered using state of the art claims administrative software.

Please note, Endurance does not make "cold calls" or any outbound sales call unless specifically requested by a consumer via our online portal. There are many companies in the industry that do not abide by the VPA's Standards of Conduct and may be making unsolicited calls. Endurance understands the frustration that this can cause to the consumer and the confusion that may result when the consumer receives a mail piece from Endurance at the same time as these solicitation calls. Endurance can confirm that any solicitation calls that the consumer received did not originate from Endurance. Endurance recommends that the consumer determine from what company the calls originate and contact that company to ask that they cease. We are sorry for the frustration that Endurance's mail piece caused the consumer, and as a result of the consumer's complaint, our company placed the consumer on our internal "Do Not Mail" database to ensure that they do not receive any future direct mail advertisements from our company. Please allow up to 10 business days to process this request. The consumer may still receive additional mail pieces sent during the processing time.

Complaint: ***

I am rejecting this response because:I never said they called me. They used to call me relentlessly in the past but now they have switch to solicitation by mail. They now send me mail claiming I owe them money for insurance that I have through them.

This is a bold face lie. This is an attempt to get me to pay them for a service I NEVER signed up for, never would. I have insurance with legitimate insurance companies. The response you sent me, is their same blanket response, to every complaint, can I

show you the wording in the solicitation. Read all the other complaints to the Revdex.com about their mode of operation. They are deceitful and corrupt. In the past I have called them and told them to look me up by my name not by the assigned number in the

letter. They can not because I am not one of their customers. They use the numbers assigned in the letter to make up a bogus contract. They are a scam company. I don't care that they say they have done business with 1 billion car garages. This

business is a scam and so are the car businesses involved with them. There are a lot of innocent victims of this company. I WANT THEM TO LEAVE ME ALONE. I do not want any of their mailings, or any mailings from their other pseudo companies. They

use a lot of names, not just Endurance. They use intimidation and lies to imply that you owe their company money. They need to be reported and held accountable.

PLEASE STAY AWAY ! At this point I feel like I was scammed out of my money with this contract. They always find a way to not pay for repair. My current claim has been denied because the claims adjuster states that I do not have coverage for my repairs due to the diagnostic code of failure. THIS IS ***! My mechanic has reported to them clearly that I have a oil leak due to the oil pump leaking which in return causes my gaskets and seals to be affected as well as my timing belt and water pump needs to be replaced. Long story short they keep telling my mechanic that this is not covered!! when I HAVE THE SELECT PREMIER PLAN and it says it is covered unless it is stand alone which is it not. They try to scheme their way out of a claim and it seems like you literally have to say the exact right words in order for them to even come out and look. they just flat out denied my claim did not send in an inspector just DENIED it and kept stating that they do not cover gaskets and seals stand alone but the issue is not stand alone people. In addition I called and spoke with a claims representative fro customers because they are telling my mechanic one thing and myself another , so I called them all on three way and the agent got rude and refused to speak to my mechanic which is odd...and he refused to transfer me to a upper management personnel , he claimed he was a manager and there was no one else to speak with!! ONE WORD TO DESCRIBE THESE PEOPLE SCAMMERS!!!Since I have had this warranty they have barely covered anything for my car,I continued to pay because I thought it would be worth it if I had a major breakdown on my car. I have come out of pocket more than they have , they sell false promises. I will be canceling my contract and taking legal and media action soon. This is unfair to customers,, they need to be investigated and shut down. I am a loyal honest paying customer that has been treated with no respect or dignity , they do not have compassion what so ever.
One positive is the towing service and rental car for 5 days but that is if they even pay your claim afterwards.. .This company is not worth a dime investing in... I am so upset at myself that I even spent money on this contract. They will not continue to get away with treating people like this!

I was forced to give a Star Rating. This should be a Zero Stars instead of the One Star you See!
I just Received a letter in the mail from Endurance regarding a price increase on my Extended Vehicle Service Plan (EVSP). I did have to get out my Extended Warranty I purchased this past summer to see if it was the same company, It Wasn't. I couldn't imagine how I could be subject to a Price Increase? The Warranty I purchased was at the Dealership and was a One Time Fee! But I still had to check!
As I can see here many others have received this same letter from Endurance. I'm 100% sure this letter is a Scam, trying to make people panic and do something stupid. I wonder how many people have panicked and paid money to these people? Like many others, I'd too would like to know how they got my Name and Address? I do believe people running these scams should face jail time for the money they are stealing! IMO this is not any different from Breaking into someones house and robbing them!

My name is Tim Pettit and I want to share my story of my first experience with getting service for my vehicle that has a warranty through Endurance. I've had the policy since June and I don't have a high mileage vehicle. It only has 56000 miles. I have all my routine mainteance done on time and through the dealership. I use my vehicle to drive back and forth to work and take my wife who is dieing of cancer to her chemo appointments every 2 weeks. On my last oil change the found that the CV boots were torn and the control arms and front axle shaft were damaged and needed to be replace. I told them that is fine and I have a warranty program through Endurance. Provided them the information so they could contact Endurance for the repairs. When the Service technician called Endurance they insisted I needed to bring the vehicle back to the dealership so they could have their "own" inspector come out and inspect the parts. I've had warranties through other companies and never heard of this. It's like they don't trust Factory trained technicians. I explained that I can't afford to be without my vehicle for 2 days while this "inspector" comes out. The dealership was nice enough to let me have a courtesy vehicle while the inspection was done. The 2 days turned out to be more than a week from the time the "inspector" came out and the time he submitted his report back to Endurance and Endurance told the service department they would not pay for the repairs because "as the parts are cracked" they are not completely broken. The Service department called them and explained that if you let them wait longer the damage will be more extensive and you are leaving a customer without transportation. Endurance could have cared less. So if you want a company who is going to leave you stranded by the road with a broken down vehicle by all means chose Endurance. I'm now stuck with driving my vehicle with it making sounds when I make turns, waiting for them to give out while I am driving or paying for the repairs myself. I can only hope this breakdown doesn't occur while I am taking my wife to her chemo appointment.

Deceptive practices with false promises, and worthless customer service. I don't recommend this company to anyone.

Should run from this company. I pay about $90 a month. Had a major engine problem and they denied the claim. It's all in the sneaky wording in the contract. Don't waste your money

Endurance Warranty Service is a “TOTAL” ripoff! They are not honest and have a lot of loop holes as to not be responsible for paying for services. After you have spent many dollars a month to have car protection with them! “FRAUD! Do not do business with these people!

I want Endurance to remove my name from their mailing list. Yesterday I got another letter from “Rebecca ***” about upcoming price increase and I better call 833-201-1651. I have not done business with Endurance and am not interested in any warranty yet I continue to get these unwanted letters.

My claim was denied due to issues that I was not at fault for. I had a flat tire in November I took it to a tire repair shop they replaced it and on 1/22/2020 my truck was making a noise on my way to drop off my Children to school I stopped at a mechanic shop near the school thinking it was my brakes come to find out it was my transfer case so I called made a claim got called back 2 days later and was denied because my tire that was replaced was bigger then the regular size tires so one out of 4 was to big which was not my fault the tire repair shop placed that tire and it was also denied because I drove my vehicle but it didn’t start messing up up until I drove which I took it to a shop

Endurance believes that this complaint was filed with the wrong company. The consumer has not had the contract for a year as stated and the consumer listed the salesperson as "***".On 11/15/19, the consumer contacted Endurance and purchased a SmartAuto Premier Plus contract. As of the date of this response, no claim has been filed for this vehicle with the administrator, SmartAuto. In addition, Endurance's last contact with the consumer was in November 2019, to update the correct mileage. Again, no claim has been filed under this contract.

Based on the fact that the consumer stated he has had the contract for "over a year" despite only having it since November 2019, stated that he had a denied claim when no claim has been filed, and listed "***" as the salesperson despite Endurance having no knowledge or connection to that organization, Endurance believes that the consumer has filed this complaint in error against the wrong company.

If the consumer would like to contact Endurance for more information, he may do so at 866-432-4443.

I keep getting letters in the US mail every few months telling me the prices will be raised. They have a customer ID# for me. This is a SCAM. I haven’t owned a car in 5 years!! When I did have a car I never applied to this company for car insurance & never heard Endurance Company name before!! Some kind of SCAM!!

Denied every single claim on my vehicle (4+ of them) under dubious pretenses. For a couple of the issues Endurance claimed to have found evidence the issues were pre-existing, though I could find no evidence of that. Of the issues Endurance acknowledged as not pre-existing, the company still denied all claims. A certified technician at the dealership recommended multiple repairs to covered items but Endurance refused saying they needed more information before they could approve. Multiple calls were had and more information was provided, Endurance still refused to pay. I requested that Endurance provide in writing what they would need to approve the repair, they refused to do that. We (the dealership and I) requested another adjuster go out so the dealership could highlight the issue in person since Endurance didn't accept the information provided via phone. Endurance refused to provide this as well. In addition to the issues under dispute above, there was a special issue with the GPS antenna. I paid for the Supreme coverage with the High Tech Coverage option. In the agreement language it states that the "GPS/NAV systems" are covered under the High Tech Option. The GPS antenna has quit working rendering the vehicle NAV system functionally useless. Endurance denied coverage because one of their standard exclusions is "transmitting/transmission receiving devices". They failed to answer each time they were challenged how the antenna didn't fall under the GPS system given it is the heart of the system. Bottom line this company is not there to help you. From my experience they want your money, they will hold it while you whittle away time and miles against your contract, they will then deny all your claims, and just refund your prorated amount having walked away with a portion of your money without providing any benefits. Oh and as a kicker, I requested a quote based on my current mileage for how much of a refund I would receive. They refused to provide that upfront too.

Endurance Warranty Services Response • Feb 04, 2020

The consumer activated the contract on 8/31/19. The contract has a 30 day and 1000 mile waiting period. Any failure that occurs during this waiting period cannot be covered. To date, the consumer has filed one single claim on this contract. Endurance is not aware of the "4+ claims" stated by the consumer. On the consumer's claim, the following parts were reported as failed:1. Tailgate Module. This part was authorized for repair by Endurance. Endurance is currently waiting for the completed invoice from the repair facility so that it may submit payment.2. Antenna Wiring Harness. This part was authorized for repair by Endurance. Endurance is currently waiting for the completed invoice from the repair facility so that it may submit payment.3. Seat Bolster Module. This part was authorized for repair by Endurance. Endurance is currently waiting for the completed invoice from the repair facility so that it may submit payment.4. Radio. This part could not be authorized. Please see attached invoice from 9/10/19. This invoice clearly shows a failure of the radio that occurred 10 days after contract sale, with no repair work performed at that time. As the failure happened inside the waiting period and Endurance has no documentation that it was fixed at that time, this failure is pre-existing and cannot be covered. At this time, Endurance has authorized the claim in the amount of $1967.58 and is awaiting a completed invoice from the repair facility.

I’ve been paying for an alleged top of the line bumper to bumper coverage. I drive a *** with only 47K miles in good condition and up to date with maintenance recommendations. Last week my engine went on and I notice driving my engine felt like misfired. I took it to the *** dealership for repaired. They found a bad fuel injector and simply was not functioning right and needed to be replaced. Cost$ 599. When they called Endurance to get the work approved they asked the mechanic if the car had power, which it did, and then they denied the repaired and advised it was not covered. The dealer shop explained this was a mechanical and the injector had gone bad. They still denied the repaired. When I called, I spoke to the manager of Endurance “Mario”, and he stated according to my contract section E, is consider containment which is not covered. The actual contract in section E talks about lack of maintenance causing containment. I double checked with the Jeep
shop and they advised there is no preventive measure to take on my case since it simply went bad. It was a mechanical. Endurance would not covered based on their interpretation of section E of the warranty agreement. Everyone I asked tells me the same thing, based on the fact that it was mechanical it should have been covered. I felt taking advantage by endurance who I was hoping to honer their reputable coverage. Asking for help here.

Please be advised, Endurance is simply the selling agent for this contract. The administrator/obligor, listed on page 1 of the attached contract, is *** Car Care (UCC). This means that UCC is responsible for the approval or denial of all claims and Endurance plays no role in this process. When the consumer contacted the claims department and spoke to Mario, the consumer was speaking to a UCC employee, not an Endurance employee.

Based on the UCC claims portal notes, the consumer's fuel injector failed mechanically. UCC cited the following exclusion language to support this denial:

"Caused by lack of required maintenance, misuse, negligence, incorrect computer programming, contamination of coolant, fuel, fluids or lubricants; resulting from engine sludge, carbon, pre-ignition, detonation, varnish, rust, corrosion, cracked rubber / neoprene parts, dry-rot, road chemicals, abuse, alteration, or lack of proper and necessary amounts of coolant, fuel, fluids or lubricants"Please note, UCC made this decision, not Endurance. On the consumer's behalf, Endurance contacted UCC for clarity on the denial, as the language cited did not contain anything excluding the mechanical failure of a fuel injector. The UCC rep provided Endurance with the same denial language and did not provide more detail on the claim denial.

As Endurance does not administer the claims for this contract, Endurance cannot change UCC's claims decision. In the interest of customer service, Endurance has taken care of the consumer's January contract payment.

The administrator, *** Car Care, can be contacted as follows:*** Car Care

The tactics used be this company is appalling and should be illegal (if not). They are sending me letters (like they know me ) about a vehicle I just bought. Letter stating that there will be a price increase on an extended warranty that I don't have with this company. This is a company I will NEVER use. How did they get my information anyway????. WE ALL SHOULD REPORT THIS COMPANY TO OUR ELECTED OFFICIALS AND MAKE SURE PEOPLE GO TO JAIL FOR TACTICS LIKE THIS. LET'S CHANGE SOME LAWS.This is pure harrassment. I requested nothing from this company and pray to God that they go out of business and the owners and workers who implement these tactics go straight to JAIL! Endurance SEIZE AND DESIST ANY FURTHER ADVERTISEMENTS VIA ANY FORMS OF COMMUNICATION TO ME OR MY FAMILY IMMEDIATELY.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

Sincerely,

Elane

We received a letter regarding a new car we had purchased. the letter indicated that after X date, "Endurance" would be unable to honor the "service contract pricing" designed for our vehicle. The tone of the letter is threatening and implies strongly that we have a warrantee that they will no longer be able to honor unless we call them.

At the bottom of the entire letter, in extremely small type, is a disclaimer for several companies which they appear to do business under, indicating that this is an advertisement.

I contacted the dealer where we purchased our vehicle and was informed that in no way was this in regards to our current extended warrantee.

Given the format and deceptive wording of the letter, I consider this letter to be very close to deceptive advertising.

I purchased an extended warranty with Endurance in June of 2019 for my 2013 Audi Q7. I was told the warranty I selected covered electrical issues. Around the holidays my entire right side headlights went out. I thought it was just the lamp and expected to pay for that. I took it to a dealer on 1/10/2020 and found it was an O9 Module. The cost of the repair at that time was $750. Endurance said they wouldn't cover it because it wasn't blatantly listed on the contract. Angry, yes. I was going to pay for the repair out of pocket. However, I get a call from the dealer saying it's actually a BCM that's the cause of the problem. Now the bill is $2012 and Endurance still refuses to cover it. I have the coverage for electrical. To say it's not covered because it's not expressly listed in the policy doesn't make sense! You would have to list every major electrical component, that's most likely unique to that vehicle. This is obviously a major component. When I sold this policy I was told I wouldn't have to pay for any major repairs. This component doesn't even seem to be listed on the top warranty package they offer!
As a remedy, I would like all the money I've paid into this warranty returned to me and this warranty cancelled. I'm afraid if I have an engine issue or a transmission issue that this company would leave me hanging. Please help me recover my money.

Subsequent to this complaint, Endurance's Customer Service Manager made contact with the consumer. The manager explained the reason that the claim could not move forward and, in the interest of customer service, waived 1 monthly payment for the consumer and applied a $200 discount to help offset the repair expenses. Endurance appreciates the consumer's cooperation in reaching a mutually beneficial resolution.

Mr. Lopez,
To date, Endurance has paid over $1600 in claims towards your Lexus IS, beginning in 2016. We'd like to hear more about why you're not satisfied. Please contact our Customer Service Manager, Aaricka, at 866-432-4443 so we can help find a solution for you.

I just had an awful experience with this company on the phone. I received an official looking letter. On the top left in bold “2020 VehicleNotification Department”. The letter states there will be a price increase on their extended vehicle service plans effective January 16, 2020 (in 2 days). So, I called to see what was up since I had thought I had purchased an extended warranty when I bought my vehicle less then a year ago, and that my manufacturer warranty was good for a few more years. I gave them my customer code and they pulled up all my vehicle information (make, model, year, etc). All they needed was my mileage to get me a quote. I asked them when my current warranty ends and they told me February 2021 (more than a year from now). They put me on hold while they were getting my quote. A minute later someone else gets on the phone (a woman, I had been speaking to a man). She told me she was a supervisor (and I’m thinking why am I being directed to a supervisor I haven’t asked for one or given them a hard time), but she gives me the numbers for an extended warranty and I had a question. “ does this warranty start when my current one ends? She told me no it starts this February and they would contact Lincoln to tell them I had this warranty now. I said “ why do I need this one to start now? I think I’ll wait until it’s closer to the expiration date to purchase another warranty. That’s when she tried scare tactics. Telling me they were going to contact Lincoln and tell them I refused to extend my warranty, this offer is only good until I hang up, then the price goes up, that they have an 30 day money back garrentee so if I give them a check now I can cancel it, they can post date it, etc. so, at this point I just want to get off the phone cause I don’t deal with pressure sales people. She keeps using her aggressive talk so I tell her I don’t make these kind of decisions without my husband who won’t be home until after 8 pm. After a couple minutes she says she will mark in my file that I will call back tomorrow. She put me on hold, now another man gets on the phone he was extremely aggressive, rude, etc. trying to pressure me to give them a check now. I tell him He too aggressive and I’m not going to do business with them and this conversation is over. He tells me I’m not only one raising my voice being aggressive and I go to hang up. Only the phone doesn’t hang up. It goes black. I can’t turn it off, disconnect, anything and I hear the man saying “are you trying to hang up on me?” I as surprised he was still there, the phone was still black. I said yes this conversation is over again the threats of calling Lincoln etc begin. I said go ahead I don’t care who you call I’m done with you. My phone went black again and It took a while before my phone came back on again. And, I thought “oh my god! What if they are hacking my info? Although I don’t have any banking or credit card info on my phone for just that reason. I call my daughter to make sure it’s working and we look up this company online. I call the online number which is different then the one on the letter and the online number transfers me because they tell me they are not endurance but endurance is one of the companies that sells warranties for them. I speak to a man. I don’t tell him my name or any info on me I just ask him if this number on the letter is one of theirs. He could not verify that number but before we said goodbye he says he was glad he could help and they look forward to hearing from me tomorrow after I spoke to my husband. (Creepy). It was a horrible experience and all because I wanted to wait until tomorrow to call them back....hope they’re not holing their breath I will never do business with anyone that aggressive
