Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because: I have no problem with 45 days policy, but I have problem that 80% of my gift cards are usable within 45 days but magically they become invalid after 45 days. If you put the disclaimer that your gift cards are only good for 45 days, I would not buy from your company.

I am rejecting this response because:Apparently, the staff at ABC Gift Cards cannot read very well because I acknowledged receipt of my gift card in my complaint.  The issue is that they have not provided evidnence that the rejected card that they returned to me via...

USPS mail is the one I initially mailed them.  I maintain that they cannot tell me they are going to pay me $88.00 for my $100 gift card through their online selling tool and later claim that same card is invalid.  They need to reject the card as being invalid before I mail it in to them,
not after.  Their system is seriously flawed.  Again, after they returned the supposed invalid gift card to me, I was able to sell it to them for $88.00 a second time!  After the online sale they asked me to send that invalid card to them alll over again.  Their paper trail from my initial sale does not list the gift card serial number anywhere.  Thus, I have no way of knowing if they sent the card that I mailed them back to me.  It is like a bait and switch scenario.  They told me online the card was good because it was!  It was a $100 gift card given to me as a gift.  I sold almost one dozen other gift cards in January without incident.  Their antiquaited system required me to mail in my gift card, and I did that.  The other companies did not require me to mail the gift cards to them.  I was paid every time without that additional step.  ABC Gift Cards has provided no proof that the card I mailed was invalid.  I know it was valid just like the many other cards that I sold online were valid.  ABC Gift Cards owes me the $88 dollars which they promised to pay for my $100.00 [redacted] gift card.  Thank you for your attention in this matter.Respectfully submitted,[redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:
This is the same automated response that I've already received multiple times. I'd like an actual person to review what happened. I believe there is fraud with this company and will pursue further action if not resolved.

I accept.   However, I feel that if you purchase something such as a gift card with 50 dollars it should contain 50 dollars.  I will be writing my legislators to about this and ask for fovernamental regulation for this type of business to protect consumers from fraud as evidenced from many complaints exactly as same as mine.

Hi,I issued a claim. The claim department then processed it and issued you a refund. The refund was issued back to the method of payment used at the time of the sale.

Hi,Thank you very much for reaching out to us. CardCash's primary focus is to please our customers. CardCash is a secondary gift card marketplace enabling consumers to buy, sell, and trade their pre-owned unwanted gift cards. Safeguarding and protecting our customers is our top priority....

Therefore, CardCash offers consumers a 45 day buyer protection guarantee. This way they can feel secure to shop on the marketplace and take advantage of all the great savings. However, we can only extend this guarantee for customers who contact us within 45 days of their purchase. A limited guarantee period is very common on every marketplace in every sector. [redacted]or example, offers a 30 day buyer protection guarantee. CardCash, is very clear about the guarantee time-frame and posts it prominently in numerous places on the website, includes it on a insert in our mailers, and in the terms and conditions on the site which users accept prior to making a purchase. Nonetheless, as a onetime courtesy we will refund you..  Please be advised of this exception and of our general policy. We hope you will continue shopping on our marketplace and take advantage of all the great savings

Hi, We will be sending out a check to the customer for the full value of the gift cards traded in.

Hi,We apologize for the inconvenience, but understand that this is a secondary [redacted]et which is why we encourage our customers to use their cards in the time period guaranteed. We had hoped to be able to send you the physical cards, however in some instances we unfortunately did not have the cards in inventory. At this point I can advise you to bring up your concern with [redacted]. We have heard from a number of our customers that they have successfully been able to have their cards transferred into physical cards.

Hi,CardCash is a gift card marketplace where millions of sellers can sell their unwanted pre-owned gift cards at a discount. CardCash checks the balance at the time of the listing.  Statistically only a very small percentage of our cards have issues where...

the seller used the gift card or it got canceled after we have checked the balance at the time of the listing.  The percentages are kept very low because of all the proprietary fraud technology and [redacted] measures CardCash has working behind the scenes. Buying from any Marketplace is the classical the Risk vs Reward decision. Consumers shopping on a marketplace can save up to 35% but will at times run into cards that are invalid or have a balance discrepancy.  This is not something we can control.  However, in order to make our customers feel a bit more comfortable we offer a 45 day buyer protection guarantee. CardCash encourages all of its customers to use the cards within that time period and if they encounter an issue to immediately let us know within the first 45 days of their purchase. In such situations, if CardCash cannot recoup the funds from the original seller it will take the loss as part of its guarantee. Beyond the 45 day period, CardCash cannot absorb any additional liability and is very clear about this policy all over the website.

I am rejecting this response because:I received the email below on May 16th. They're response was the card was sent out on May 13th and before I contacted them.  I still have the email that proves I contacted them on May 13 and BEFORE the card was sent out.  This shows a great deal of dishonesty on their part.
[redacted] (CardCash) I really do apologize the card can no longer be canceled. However the card is already prepped and will be out within the day or by tomorrow.Plus the fact remains that they had/have "physical cards" on their "printable egift card" webpage.

I don't see an order number in the complaint. Please provide an order number so I can look into this situation.

Hi, My apologies for this inconvenience. We received the claim close to a year later. We made an exception and issued a $50.00 website credit. To reduce our customers' risk, CardCash extends a 45-day buyer protection period and strongly encourages customers to use their gift cards within...

this period of time, and - if there is a claim - to initiate it prior to the end of this period. This buyer protection guarantee period is clearly stated prominently and explicitly in several places on our website:On CardCash.com home pageOn CardCash [redacted]In addition to the terms and conditions of the site, which customers accept prior to making a purchase. In the future, we recommend using your CardCash gift cards within the 45-day window.Thank you,CardCash Customer support

I am rejecting this response because:The card was drained of funds fraudulently after your 45 day guarantee. As a business Cardcash needs to find individual responsible for the illegal activity. To do nothing is to allow and accept  fraudulent activity through your business.

Hi, I apologize for the inconvenience you have been through. Please note our site says that we will only store info if customer agrees to it. In addition it says that we reserve the right to refuse an order.

Hi, CardCash is not a third party selling gift cards new gift cards from [redacted]. It is a marketplace allowing consumers to sell unwanted gift cards they received.  See the constitution First Sale Doctrine  , codified at 17 U.S.C. § 109, which allow users to resell items...

they dont want in a secondary market.  The entire ebay Marketplace is built on this premise. [redacted] has always allowed customers to redeem merchandise credits  either in paper format without it being swiped at the pos in [redacted]stores or in digital format on [redacted].com . It has changed its policy on January 7th 2016. See attached memo from [redacted] to store managers notifying them of the change of policy.   See CardCash terms of service   [redacted] that if a retailer changes its policy post the date of when cardcash has sold the gift card, cardcash cannot be held responsible. 23. CardCash is not liable in the event that the issuing merchant of the gift card declines to accept it upon declaring bankruptcy, or because of changes to its gift card acceptance policy.See cardcash terms of service  (mentioned above) where it states that it uses the more universally known term "gift card" even when selling merchandise credits  See cardcash terms of service where it equates the term gift cards with merchandise credits  .   All users must acknowledge that they accept the terms and conditions prior to completing an order.  There is a clickable link there for the customer to click and read the terms and conditions prior to accepting.

I am rejecting this response because:
It was not resolved to my satisfaction.  I was given a $35 gift certificate.  Upon doing some searching on the Internet, I discovered that many people have had the same problem.  It seems like the gift cards are reduced to zero after 45 days.  When I bought them, and 45 day guarantee was not readily accessible on the website.  I will never buy from or recommend the company.  It seems like a scam.
