Dell technical support damaged my computer when I sent it to them to fix an issue with the ac power cordI am not sure what they did but my computer is not working, keeps frezzingGoogle chrome is not responding and is extremely slowMy computer system was working fine before I sent it to them
They refused to send me a new computer as a replacementI called several times to technical support and they cannot fix the issue, they even sent a technician to my house and they cannot fix the issueThey want to restore my computer to fabric settings and weren't able to do it

The process for buying a laptop from them is quite predatoryThere is no way that I found to even compare all the options for a certain modelClicking certain links will show you different options at different pricesThere must be at least different ways that they show different configurations the same productIf some one does not know that this is a thing they will easily be tricked in to buying a product without the configuration that they desire and be charges more for itThis should never exist under any circumstance it exist solely to trick the consumer into buying the wrong product for the wrong priceThere should never exist a practice that offers a lower price just because they used a different google search term

I have an Alienware laptop under warranty The lighting functions started to fail and would turn on and on randomly Once the lights in the front were out for an couple of weeks, I called for tech support I spoke with a gentleman over the phone and he refreshed my bois and reinstalled the FX program this did not fix the issue They sent a tech to my place of work This tech presented poorly and smelled intensely of cigarette smoke This tech replaced the lights in the front and did not fix the issue They sent me a box to send it to the factory I did and it came back Still not fixed They sent another tech to my work This gentleman was great, very professional He replaced the motherboards and the lights as well This still did not fix the issue I needed the laptop to complete a project and could not have anymore time without it about weeks after the service the laptop did turn on It did not even respond to being plugged in I tried multiple outlets and powe

Recently I submitted a warranty issue related to an issue that falls within their warranty and was denied The system was assessed and the part that was under warranty was unavailable therefore a system replacement was approved to be shipped Then a week later I was advised the system was denied due to another issue which is not covered under warranty I feel we are being taken advantage of
Customer Service is also key and Dell's customer service is very unorganized Every time I call I am redirected to another department who will not lay ownership to the call then redirected to yet another department and on and on and on During one call I was redirected times where I redirected back to the original department that answered my call My last calls to Dell have lasted well over an hour
I will never buy a Dell product again and will take my business where it is earned

Unable to get them to resolve poor performance of my Dell inspironI have over saved emails with tech support, I've had troubleshooting calls with them as well as troubleshooting session on my own based on their instructionsThey have also missed other promised phone calls Each time, they seem to think that the problem is solved while the underlying symptoms persistI believe they are just 'running diwn the clock' waiting for my warranty to run out I realize that this is a difficult situation to troubleshoot but they have repeatedly rebuffed my request to let me send it back to them for a thorough investigationI have tried to make my request understood - perhaps it is a lack of clarity but that's no excuseI have - now twice - reset the machine to factory specs which means I had to rebuild and restore ALL the data and appsThey suggested I do that again but I think that is not reasonable
