review.Based on our analysis, the customer’s gas usage is significantly lower compared to last yearsThe usage comparison as seen in below table supports the customer’s statement that they were out of the country and that heating was kept at minimum.Gas Usage Comparison (in Therms)Month20152016DifferenceMarch178.00111.20-37.53%February296.60193.20-34.86...⇄ is not correct to compare gas bill by their dollar-amount because the rates change every so oftenFor example, in March 2015, the customer’s Purchased Gas Cost (PGC) was at $per therm while it’s $0.8900/th this March, The table above shows that the customer saved therms (energy) or 28.39% less than their usage in the past year. Moreover, the customer’s PGC this year is based on the rate provided by a third party supplier called *** *** ***The customer started a contract with *** *** *** in March, It is for a gas bill to be more expensive despite lower gas usage compared to last years because of the difference in the rate of ***. November 19, K StNW, 10th FloorWashington DC 20005-3404Washington Gas Account #***Dear Revdex.com, Washington Gas is in receipt of your submission the previous rebuttal regarding the return check fee being credited to your accountWe appreciate you for providing the attached invoicesYou are correct that the $return charge was assessed on your August 28th invoiceBeing that we rectified this fee within the same period, this is why you see a credit of $-on the same invoiceThis credit of $-zeroes out the $return charge so you are not being charged at all and there is no other credit that is owedThis $fee was not carried forward to any future invoices after the August invoiceIf you add the current gas charge of $plus the other charge of $this will actually total to $When you subtract the credits of $35.00(Which include return charge credit applied) this leaves you the total charges of $165.59 Hopefully this explanation provides additional clarity. As always, if you have any further questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact our customer support center at ###-###-#### or via email at [email protected] you for allowing us to assist you with this matter and have a great day.Sincerely, Washington Gas Customer Support

I am rejecting this response because:
The above account was in arrears for the first months due to a mailing address dispute and further payments have not been lateI would assume that is also "documented" in your previous messagesFurthermore I would think a phone call at that time could have easily resolved that mistakeWe are new to Maryland and new to Calvert County where they also bill water & sewage on a month intervalI have never lived anywhere this practice is used with billing or deposits handled in this wayI also have not made a phone call to a utility service that has not been resolved or call was not returned I would like to Thank whoever has updated this information on the bill and brought it to current usageIt is very discouraging that I had to reach out to someone in this way to get a responseI truly hope you are able to handle further cases through your customer service call center
