The customer service in this company is horrible! I have called for days straight and no return call at all!! I have been without a floor for days! The subcontractors came out hours after they said they would be here in a hourThen ripped out all the easy to remove floors carpetI had to remove the laminate because that would be extra he saidReally? Then they say my floors aren't level as he stands on the level moving around so I can't see the bubble to even agree or disagreeThen he calls someone I guess from Empire and says we need to pay double the original price!! No waySo he packs up leaves all the floor removal at my curb side and breaks my oven handle and gorilla glues it back onWhat kinda of crapI have young kids so I have to clean these guys mess upI have called Empire ever day for days straight and still no resolutionI had a contractor come out and he said my floors aren't that bad and are a 8th of a inch offI'm so angry and would never recommend this companyWhen things go wrong you have no one to turn to!! This is my only way to vent and now I'm looking for a new flooring person!! Unbelievable!!
A sub-contractor (they employ no sales people) came to our home with swatchesHe measured and gave us the price, a "today ONLY" priceSign or it's goneI rec'd estimates locally for this project, both higherI like the rug and the price, I signedTwo installers showed up several days laterOne did not speak word of English, the other was challengedThey were at our home 1/hours1/hours for bedroomsI was told the following:"we were not told how complex this job would be and it needs lots of seams." AstoundingI have a basic Cape Cod home with NO unusual dimensionsThe made our stair runner was made off siteI received a call on Thursday morning with a confirmed appointment for Sat 11/between 2-for installationI rearranged my schedule to make sure I was home by At 5:30, we were still waiting and I called Empire's customer service # in which I was told,"yeah, there's no one left at the warehouse, they won't be out." I lost my mind! No showNO callNothingI immediately asked to speak to a manager who offered NO reason for why an installer did not show up, even when I asked.."um, I don't know mam." After pressing him, I requested and received only a $"courtesy" credit to be issued immediately on my credit cardToday, 12/almost a full month later, I still have NO credit returned to my cardYou can bet this is no longer about $Its' the principal behind doing clean, honest and respectful customer serviceI find it interesting Empire has a A+ rating with almost 1/of the reviews are negativeI will never contract this company againI will now make it my mantra to whomever I know, speak to, write too..etc..to stay clear of EmpireWhat I gained in price, most unfortunately, I lost with serviceThere is simply NO service with this companyI never heard from the sales guy againHe insisted I take of his business cards to refer him yet he hasn't once contacted me again about my experienceAgain, they make a sale and they are goneWe very, very careful should you choose to do any business with this company
Scheduled installation on a Saturday so wouldn't miss workThey were a no show and didn't even callWe got conflicting reasons why they didn't show: one person said that the installer was in a bad car accident (have a voice mail) and another said the installer's truck broke down Decided to give them another chance and rescheduled for the following Monday, so had to take off workThey were a no show again, so had to waste a vacation day - waitingThis time they claimed that it was a human error, that their system didn't change it from a "reschedule" to a "confirmed"WhateverThey lied to us and caused a wasted vacation day and a flurry of complaints will not get that backFurther, we had to install a Murphy Bed over the old carpet since the project was scheduled and could not be easily rescheduledThis company doesn't care and should not be in business
The was the worst install that I have ever headI went with empire because they are supposed to the one of the best on the marketI call customer support and all I really got was sorry we have to call the local marketThe master install guy was always late (they would tell me they would be here early but did not get to my home until 11am, and after 9am), he left a mess in my house, I have to remove tape that was left all over the floors, and he wanted me to write good comments on the paper so he could get more jobsI have never done something like this but I fell that everyone should know how bad of a job they did (*** ** ***
I was very satisfied with Empire Today, from the sales person to the installers They did a BEAUTIFUL job on my flooringI couldn't be happier!!
The experience was OK,Just that the promotion was never brought up The sale I just don't know if I got the sale price or not,But the carpet is out standing and the installers did an outstanding job

Empire today was a dream come true after a nightmare with *** *** carpets!
Empire is absolutely the worst company I have ever dealt withFrom sales to scheduling to support these guys are the worstDon't let those commercials fool youI scheduled my carpet installation a week in advance with the sales representativeI paid someone to be at my property and Empire didn't even show up for installationI even pre-paid for the carpet installation (after a tremendous amount of trouble trying to pay over the phone)Empire even confirmed the install day yesterdayBut today they said they didn't have enough installers for that day and needed to reschedule meNot only did the sales representative say it would be this morning 7:to 11:(which isn't true), but Empire didn't even show up or notify me that they wouldn't be able to showI had to contact them "Empire Today" is absolutely not trueIt should be "Empire a week from now, maybe if you're lucky" The Atlanta Empire scheduling and sales department are completely unprofessionalThey overbook appointments so much that they have to drop scheduled installationsThey also are in the dark ages when it comes to paymentI called Empire three times trying to pay them and they stated that the person has to be there in person to pay themI can't do that because I live in a different stateThey had no method in place to accept payment over the phoneWhat company doesn't want to take your money! When I canceled my order because they couldn't install I was on hold for minutes and got transferred three timesThese guys need to spend less on their commercials and more on payment infrastructure, customer support/service, and employee trainingI called *** *** in Atlanta and had the same carpet installed at $less than Empire within hoursEmpire should be your absolute last choice for a carpet company
Although the sales process is extremely easy and pleasant, the follow through from the installation teams and customer service department are horrible Installation for both carpet and tiles were scheduled for Thursday, 1/ I received two automated confirmation phone calls at a.mand 8:a.mrespectively, to confirm that installation would take place that afternoon At 9:a.m., I received a call stating that the tiles were not available in the warehouse and someone would get back to me, but that the carpet installation was still going to take place By p.m., I had heard from no one about the tiles and no installation team showed up The customer service reps I had been calling throughout the day were, supposedly, trying to contact both the warehouse and the installation team, neither of whom were apparently answering their phones Finally, one lovely customer service rep was able to confirm that no one would be coming on Thursday and re-scheduled the carpet installation on Friday morning I will say that the carpet installation went very smoothly, although communication with the installation team was difficult because they did not speak any English, and it does look fine I am, however, still sitting without the tiles and there has been no update since Friday I have spoken with numerous customer service reps who have not been able to give me any information about when the tiles will be delivered or installed I was given anther customer service number for my area (which I called on Friday) and, although the voice mail promises a callback within hours, I am still waiting on Monday morning The message states that the center is staffed Monday- Friday, a.m.- p.m., yet all you get is voice mail boxes when you call during those times THIS IS RIDICULOUS Sales people should not guarantee installation without checking to see whether or not the materials ordered are in stock I would love to speak to someone who could give me some definitive answers or alternatives Empire Carpet is still holding my deposit on the tiles which seem to be non- existent and NO ONE COMMUNICATES WITH YOU I WILL NEVER USE EMPIRE AGAIN I STRONGLY SUGGEST THAT NO ONE DOES
Ordered tile and laminate from themExisting tile was to be taken up and installed on a Monday and Tuesday, then laminate installed Thursday
I own a one bedroom condo and while the tile is installed I am not able to stay and sleep there so I got a hotel for Monday and Tuesday nights
They called Monday saying they couldn't start until TuesdayOn Tuesday after no one showed up by 12pm I called them and they said it was now rescheduled for Friday
At this point my hotel reservations were useless but I couldn't cancel them and wasted $
Thursday the laminate was installed and was done quickly but this should have been done after the tile was taken up
Friday two guys show up to do the tile who don't speak any english at about 10amThey take up the tile along with my only toilet
They don't work Saturday or Sundays
I had to get another hotel for Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday
They finally finish on Tuesday and I come home to my living room full of dust, counter tops damaged, cement/grout on the walls and a hole in the wall
I'm on my third day cleaning up all the dust in my living room
I called empire about it and they said they would get back to me within hours, it's been days now and I haven't heard from them
We ordered bedroom carpeting and hardwood flooring for our living room & stepsBedroom & living room installations went wellHowever, due to a problem with my bannister, installers needed to get approval to remove it before doing steps...Empire denied request then went on to tell us that this would cost us an additonal $500+...something we were never told about nor did we agree toJob was stopped to resolve this issueSteps were rescheduled to be installed, no one showed & no one called....TWICE!!! My husband lost days of work due to this incompetentancy! Finally, the GM came to the house to resolveAgain, he mentioned the addtional $500...we told him we were not paying it as this was not in the original agreement not was it something ever discussedWe came to a mutual agreement on how to best install the stepsInstallers arrived with WRONG material & knew nothing of the upgrades the GM provided to help smooth over the miscommunicationOf course, GM was no where to be found when trying to reach him about the latest problemInstallers boss tried to talk me into letting the installers just "do the job" & upgrades could be done at a later dateWhen I told him I wanted to the job stopped until I spoke to the GM he told me I was being "unreasonable"!! Apparently it was this guy's fault the installers had the wrong material even though he was told to be sure to load the correct material for this jobAfter speaking to SEVERAL people the job was completed to our satisfaction; however, there is no excuse for the lack of and/or poor communication
Great product pricing customer service and installationI would use again
contacted empire today to do blinds throughout our new home, salesman came, spent thousands and unfortunately paid in full thru there credit card servicewas promised august 8th delievery and installation that has come and gone, each time we call we get shuffled around with excuses, or no phone calls back, now the phone calls back tell us the blinds are done but they company has no bracketsthe list goes on an on, we have something we paid for, an bare windows in a brand new homewas told today august 15, another two weeks for installation, its a custom order and the order comes from two companies in another state would appreciate some kind of resolution to this problem as its a big problem
I am very happy with my new floor instalation I have no complaints
I had been looking for a while to get my old carpets taken out and new flooring done for my three bedrooms and my two bathrooms When I was ready to make that decision I must admit that I was a little hesitant to use Empire Not every review was stellar when I went looking online However, my sister had used Empire and she told me they had done a great job on her hardwood floor installation With the half-off sale that was going on at that time, I decided that I could at least investigate and see what they could do for me Within a day they were at my house My sales rep, Jonathan, walked me through everything! He was very helpful in not only keeping me within budget, but he was also my design man, helping me with what would look good in my home (I am definitely not the best at design or practicality) Once we had a plan for all rooms, he immediately jumped on getting the installers scheduled The install took two days because I was using different materials in my bathrooms than I was in my bedrooms I must say, not only was I happy with the result, I was quite pleased with the professionalism of the installers and Jonathan I couldn't have asked for a better experience Everything went smoothly and in two days, my home looked great! The installers walked me through what was happening, and they answered any questions I had They took care of me from beginning to end (and that included cleanup) I would recommend Empire 100% As a matter of fact, I have already referred them to a friendI am also thinking about upgrading some other flooring in my home and they would be the ones I would call Thank you Empire for such a great job My nervousness was definitely eased from the moment you came in my home!

Empire today provides negotiable pricing, fantastic quality products, great customer service, friendly and efficient employees, and is the best business for carpeting and flooringI carpeted and tiled almost every room in my house that did not have existing hard wood and used their companyI was more than satisfied with each product and employee!
