I had my floor installed in May by Empire instead of a small contractor which would have cost way less I started having issues with my floor March and had the original installer comeback and only kick pieces closer together instead of properly readjusting the planksThe installer they sent me was so conniving he was talking bad about the company and how he could have sold and installed my floor for a better pricingMy floor today is still separating and cannot get resolved
I called Empire Today to replace carpet in my basement after a plumbing leakWe had replaced the carpet just a year and a half ago and just wanted to get a patch where the leak happened using the same carpetThe sales rep came and suggested that we replace the full basement because the carpet might be a slightly different colorWe told her that we were ok with this and agreed to a contract and set up an installation dateWhen the installers came, they informed us that the way the estimate had been done was incorrect and they didn't have enough carpet to install correctly(The berber carpet can only be cut along the grain otherwise it would fray, so they needed to replace a larger section to account for the seam) The installers called their local market boss and asked him to call me back (he never did) and then left for another installationI then called the original sales rep to get an answer and work to find a resolution with herAfter leaving a number of voicemails over the course of the day, she finally called me back but didn't understand the issue with the installShe said she would call her manager then get back to usShe hasn't been returning calls and the only way to contact anyone at the company is through the national 8***numberI call them and then they reach out to the local marketThe local market has never returned one of my voicemails and has never answered a call from the national customer service numberDays after the install attempt, I asked to change from the patch to replacing all of the carpet in the basement - their original suggestion (it's more than twice the price)I finally connected with the sales rep and told her this is what we wanted to do - and that we NEEDED the carpet to be installed the next MondayShe said that she would call her manager and get back to me that night or the next dayI never heard back from her, but did get an email from Empire saying that I had an install scheduled for MondayOn Monday, I called the sales rep to confirm, but no answer, so I left a voicemailI then called the national customer service line to get confirmation that they were coming that day and that the were going to install the full basement (instead of the patch)On the call with national customer service, I learned that the install date had been rescheduled to Wednesday - a day that would NOT work for my schedule - and that the install had been rescheduled because my local sales rep needed to confirm the orderI've been calling that sales rep and she is not getting back to meWithout her contact, the national sales customer service has no authority to do anything and only can leave voicemails with the local marketThe local market has never returned any of my calls or any of the calls left by the national customer service repsAt this point, I have called the national number and rescheduled my install to be Saturday, but the price of the balance I owe is only for the patch and they aren't able to change the order for the full basementTo do that, I need to connect with the local market or local reps - who are not answering the calls or returning the voicemails
I have never been more dissatisfied with a service of any kind in my lifeI was stood up not only once but twiceThe first time no one showed up I didn't even get a phone calli had to call Empire myself to find out what the problem wasTo top that off, not only did I call once, I called times that dayThe carpet guys were the company that Empire hired out and one of their workers called me to let me know that he was coming at 40pm, I don't think so buddy!!!
The second time I rescheduled, reluctantly, I was guaranteed installation by 5pmI did not receive a courtesy call to confirm and let me know who was comingBy no one had showed up AGAINI called and they said that the installers would be between and minutes lateREALLY! After more phone calls with customer service, NO ONE SHOWED UP AGAIN! I hope something is done
with both their poor choice of workers and their scheduling because obviously they have no concept of time or proper business practices
We ordered carpet and vinyl for roomsCarpet for bedrooms and vinyl for bathrooms and the kitchenThe order was placed on 4/23/with a 10% down payment, The installation was scheduled for 4/and 4/We prepped the rooms on Monday, the house was a messEmpire called on Tuesday morning and re scheduled for 4/and 4/28, then 4/called and scheduled for 4/and do it in day, On 4/received a call from the installer around 3:PM, he had car troubleI asked him to come on 4/30, Saturday morning, and do the full installation, they completed bathroom and bedroom, The house was a disaster, and they did not have enough carpet to complete the 2nd bedroom, They came back on 5/2, Monday, to complete the jobThey could not complete the job, the carpet for the bedroom was backorderedI spent the next week on the phone trying to get an answer on the carpet to complete the installationThe carpet nails were exposed in our closetThe installation was finally completed 5/9/
Empire customer service is used to misled and complicate communicationsMost would not give their last name and would not transfer us to a managerWe spent several hours on the phone, most on hold,(hate that music) and no answers just frustration! We talked to to people during this experience,
Empire Today installed new carpet in one of my bedrooms and new hardwood flooring in the otherThe experience was good from beginning to endI called their customer service office for information prior to setting an appointment with a sales person so I could get some information about their servicesAll of my questions were answered by a knowledgeable employee via phoneThe sales rep was on time and took time to thoroughly answer all of my questionsHe was very knowledgeable about Empire Today products, their sale items and questions I had about installation, warranties, etcThe installers (two different crews - one for carpet, one for hardwood) arrived on time with the correct materials I had chosen and immediately went to workThe carpet installation took less than two hours and the hardwood installation took a little longer because of having to cut the wood flooringBoth look beautiful and I am extremely happy with the product, installation and service
Called Empire, had my sales consultant come over to check on the products/services I needed, days estimatedAfter almost two weeks, the job is not completed, my garage is full of furniture/items, covered in tile/ceramic/cement dustMy washer and dryer are disconnectedJust need to get this job done and my life back to normalCompletely unacceptable

Terrible customer service. We had Brazillian Cherry hadwood installed during first week of July. We went with Empire only because the sales rep promised for 2 day installation. They took 5 days to install and I had to take days off. Even delivery they called and gave us a time slot of 11-1pm. I took half a day off and went home. Waited till 3 pm, no body showed up or not even an update phone call. Finally I called and they told me they couldn't deliver that day and will be delivered the next day. After installation they took back 17 extra boxes, which makes us feel like they priced us for more. some wood were buckled up, the installation people said they didn't have that piece and we have to call empire again and schedule another appointment to fix that. We have been calling every week and they keep on saying someone will come and fix it. No body showed up yet. There are lot of chipped of wood through out the house. No wonder they had 17 extra boxes. I really wish I went with [redacted] whom we hired years ago and we had a great experience.

Empire Today cancelled three appointments. When the second appointment was cancelled, managment promised that Empire would certainly show up for the third appointment. The third appointment was a no-show. Three strikes, you're out.
Our variety buying and installation experience was exceptional with empire today. Not only did they have the best price ... They installed it in less than 24 hours! No commercial, it was really the fastest turn around we had ever seen.
My experience was fantastic. I made the appointment for 4/24. The sales person was at my home on time, brought exactly what I requested to see from online website. Sales person was friendly, knowledgeable, and patient. He never rushed me to make a decision but offered pricing and went over options. The installation was Fri. afternoon at 1 PM and finished by 4:30 PM!!!! They moved the furniture from sun room and washer and dryer from laundry room. Everything was set back in place on my beautiful floors. They made sure machines/water were working. Floors are beautiful and I would recommend Empire Today to anyone looking for quality flooring.
An absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. The sales person was very knowledgeable and patient. Post order service was very prompt and pleasant. The installers were amazing. They even cleaned the floor when they were done. Everything was explained. There were a few technical problems (due to the house; not the product) and they were handled very professionally. I will absolutely call Empire first when it is time for the next project.
We were a return customer to Empire after having had a positive experience with their company 10 years ago. This time we had carpeting and luxury vinyl tile (no grout) installed. Salesperson was low pressure and very professional. Price was good. Installation team did a great job. Were able to accommodate our schedule and cleaned up everything afterward. We are very happy with our new carpeting and tile and would highly recommend to family and friends.
My husband and I are very pleased with our experience regarding EMPIRE TODAY. Sonny, our sales rep, arrived within the appointed window of time, and had lots of samples to pick from. The installation was quick and as advertised; moved the furniture, pulled up and hauled away the old carpeting, cleaned up afterwards, and put furniture back. They also performed a walk thru with us so we could inspect the work. I would definitely recommend EMPIRE TODAY to friends and family, and would also use them again for future flooring needs.
They either can not or will not deliver on the promises that they make. First off I ordered the most basic of trim for my hardwood floors and supposedly they did not have that in inventory on the day my order was to be installed. Then they said my one day job was really a two day job. The installers lied to be about an issue with the sub floor which my contractor and another flooring company have both said is untrue. Lastly, they said they would have a manager contact me, so I waited for 5 days before calling customer service and obtaining my refund. The lies never cease with these people. I would never let anyone I know do business with these people EVER!
