The sales part was great!! But the installation part was not such a good experienceThe carpet looks great and the installers did a great jobBut their people skills were not goodThey were not friendly and they did cancelled the installation day on the same morningThey had to reschedule

Heard about Empire for years even when living Chicago Now in FL and was afraid to use as thought all the marketing was probably hype and false Got other estimates, then tried Empire Glad I did We were able to negotiate and all was as promisedWill recommend Empire for sure

Initially the customer service I received from empire was greatI had two consultations with two different sales representatives and both seemed to be extremely friendly and helpfulAfter the second consultation I decided to go ahead with getting a floor installedI had it initially scheduled for the Monday after Thanksgiving but had to reschedule for December 28th due to some unforeseen events that had to be taken care of beforehandOn December 28th, the contractor let me know he would be there within minutes so he'd be there right at 8amHe showed up only to tell me upon inspecting my current flooring that because of the age of the house the two under layers needed to be tested for asbestos before he would do anythingI had been told previously by both sales reps that they could tear up just the top layer of floor and place the tile on top of the others so if there was asbestos it wouldn't be disturbedAs this was not true, I had to then take chunks out of my floor and take them to be tested The excuse I got for that was Wayne was newThe other rep told me the same info so are all of them new?? Or do they just not know what they're talking about??
After receiving an email that they were both negative I called the sales rep Wayne to reschedule my appointmentHe didn't answer so I left a message detailing what had happenedHe called me back and I missed the callHe stated in his voicemail that they were booked out til after the 8th of January and to let him know what day I would like to reschedule forIt should have been done the next day or sooner then after the 8th as the sales rep misinformed meI was not happy but I requested January and compensation for the inconvenienceInstead of calling me back he sent me a text stating he had it scheduled for the 11th and was working on getting me compensationHe never got back to me on what they were doing for me
Come Saturday afternoon Jan I still hadn't received a confirmation call like I had the last two timesI asked Wayne if it was for sure scheduled and he called the office and said it wasMonday the 11th rolls around and I didn't receive a phone call until 10amThe lady told me the contractor was finishing another job from Saturday and that I should hear from him after noonOne o clock rolls around and I hadn't heard from anyone and no one had showed up so I contacted Wayne and asked him what was going onHe said he would look into itAn hour rolls by and I hadn't heard anything from Wayne or the contractor or anyone else from empire so I called WayneHe didn't answer so I left message telling him he said he would look into it over an hour ago and I've not seen or heard anything from anyoneI waited half an hour and called customer service only to have them tell me they couldn't get a hold of the installer and they didn't have an answer for meI asked to speak with a manager and explained what I've been throughHe told me he'd look into it and call me back
At this point the customer service I had received warranted me deciding to go with another company and not dealing with empire ever againI received a call within five minutes from the lady who had called me in the morning and told me the installer was finally on his wayAt this point it was 4pmI told her I wanted to cancel it all and be refundedI received a phone call from the manager after that telling me he could give me $offOnly &after all the bad customer service Id received?? Especially when I had been on their website and saw their half off saleThere was no way I was going to continue with them when they didn't seem to care for my business and were completely uncommunicativeI was not going to rely on them to install my floor when they failed twice alreadyI ended up going with Abby carpet and floor and they don't outsource any of their services and were knowledgable and friendly and helpful as well as extremely well versed in what good customer service is

My experience with Empire Today was nothing but positive Scheduling the appointment was easy and the sales representative was on time, respectful and very knowledgeable about all of the different carpets that are available It was so nice to be able to select carpet in my own home and not be pressured into buying something that I wasn't sure I wanted The installation was scheduled, the installers were on time and did a wonderful job of installing the carpeting and cleaning up after themselves I would definitely use Empire again and I have already recommended Empire to my family and friends

we've had Empire install carpet for us twice now, the first time in our finished basement and they did a wonderful job, so when we decided to carpet our main floor, of course we called Empire and again they did a fantastic jobThe carpet is very nice and good quality and the price we paid was very fair and well worth it The installers were on time and got the job done in very good timeThe salesman we talked to was very nice and helpful in assisting us in our decision of color of carpet, weave, etc All in all I would definitely recommend Empire and when we need carpet again we will be calling them to install it!

Empire Today is a reputable and professional organization that I highly recommend It was easy to schedule an in-home appointment, the Sales Repwas on time, very helpful and non-pressuring He was pleasure to work with in choosing the right carpet for our home and needs The carpet installers were punctual, professional, personable and did a great job! And the carpet itself is a wonderful, quality product I would highly recommend Empire Today to family and friends

Scheduled flooring to be done on Jan 17th, when the workers arrived they did not have all the material that was needed due to their work order stating I was only having two rooms doneMy invoice from the sales clearly stated my entire condoThey argued with me until I contacted the sales person who then contacted Empire to get it all straightened outLater that afternoon, I rescheduled for them to come back the following Monday and waited until noon when I called customer service only to be told that I never rescheduledI again called the sales person who reached out to Empire again and her superior to see why I was not put in the system yet told by Empire I had scheduled for the 25thI waited three years walking on concrete and they have turned my excitement into a complete nightmareThey aren't acknowledging any wrong doing and seemed all to happy to cancel my order to collect 15% of $without ever performing any service

I had the whole downstairs of my house fitted with laminate by empire less than year agoThe laminate is defective, curling at the edges, and warping in several places and I have called Empire, both locally and nationally to be ignored at least times
Do not use this company they are a disgrace, they have bad products, and worse service

The installation team (Luis and friend) were amazing They were meticulous and left my home spotless The attention to details left me with a beautifully carpeted staircase We ran into problems with the subfloor that required getting a contractor to come fix Luis worked through his manager to postpone half of our instillation until after it was fixed Once we were ready to finish the job, Luis had me call him directly and they came the next day (on a Saturday!) to finish up
I felt like this company went above and beyond to make my carpet buying experience successful

Empire Today is by far the very worst company I have ever dealt with We were scheduled for a carpet installation on Saturday March 19th from 3-6pm They never showed and no phone call from the installer or customer service We called and complained as well as leaving poor feedback on *** We received a call Sunday evening from a manager assuring us we would have installers here first thing Monday morning (3/21) I took off work, and by 11:I called customer service Guess what!? They no showed again!!! This company is horrible!! Customer service is awful and has no idea how to help To many "middle men" to figure out what is going on I don't care how cheap they are You get what you pay for!!! I will never, ever, ever, call Empire again!
