Great service, great price, and quick and efficient install with quality materials!

This was the worst experience I have ever had with any contractor! They approved us on a credit card to pay for the so called install and promised one to two day installationWhen the un experienced crew of two showed up they advised that they did not have enough material to complete the job, I was understanding at this point because I know that in the construction/remodeling trade things happen, wrong measurements etcThey promised to return the next day and would have all material needed to complete the job, after witnessing the installers cut the roll of material in half cross way I realized they had no clue what they were doingOnce again after this they did not have enough material and would have to order more which would take 4-more daysAll of our furniture is in the living room which we pretty much moved in order to help them along but cost was supposed to have included moving appliances etcAfter all of the issues and inconvenience calling their customer service deptwas a jokeNo one returned calls and no one was willing to try to resolve the issue at allCustomer service was rude and non helpful so order was cancelled, what little work that was completed now after speaking with two other contractors will have to be re done before flooring can be installedDo not recommend this company at all! Maybe just a bad install contract crew???
Now having it all re worked again and different installers to fix this mess!!

We called Empire Today to request an estimateThe sales rep, Jerome arrived the next day at the agreed timeWe selected a material and agreed to the cost and scheduleThe carpet was installed a few days later and we were really happy with the installation and material

Our experience with Empire Today was wonderful Their knowledgeable staff and fast friendly service made the process simpleWe would definitely recommend them to others and use them again in the future

A person came out to house and a deal was made for vinyl for three rooms and laminate on stairway and hallway I was told it could be installed the next day I removed china, etc from furniture as I was told Tuesday someone came and took one look around and said they did not have enough vinyl and left No one called Tuesday someone came to install laminate but he said he could not cut rounded part of steps without permission we knew this had to be done No one from office would call him back so after an hour, he left
No one even tried to call us I called and explained it to someone at office No one got back with me We couldn't even cook in kitchen because counters were full from where I had moved things I spent all day Thursday talking with different people Nothing happened No one would ever call me back I had to make all the phone calls I told them I was cancelling if no one called me by noon Friday No one called I called back and cancelled I hope I get my downpayment back but I do not trust them very much 6:pm, after I cancelled, someone finally called saying that they heard we had a problem Too late!
This company needs better communication between its employees I would never do business with them again It has been a horrible week waiting on them

Empire carpeting did an excellent job from sales to installation Great carpet at a great price

I had hardwood floors put in throughout my home several months agoEmpire charged me well over $10,which I later found was way over what I should have been charged To add insult to injury, there are several large places in each and every room that were not installed incorrectly I had an inspector come out to check the floors, and he agreed that the installation was poor at best Several times I asked for the floors to repaired and still nothing Empire sent a third party inspector out, and he advised them of the same, yet my floors are still not repaired
I was told that if I let anyone else repair the floors that it would void my lifetime warranty It seems like it's going to take a lifetime to get the repairs!
The managers are rude and unwilling to help

Very fast professional serviceLove the quality of workWill only use Empire for all my flooring needs in futureNeighbors were also impressed

Our total experience with Empire Today was nothing short of awesome! From our first contact to set up an in-home consultation to the installation of our carpet and laminate flooring, Empire Today was both professional and courteousOur new floors are absolutely STUNNING!

We appreciate the customer contacting us with their concerns
rgb(31, 73, 125)">We have reimbursed the customer for repairs that were made at the customer’s expense

I love empire, great experience

Back in August (2014) an Empire Carpet sales representative came to give us our free in-home estimate He was very friendly and worked with us to find, what we thought was the right carpet for our space (basement)
We scheduled our installation that weekend, quick and painless right?! ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!! The carpet installers came that Saturday and installed the tack strips and then proceeded to tell us that they need to come back another day to install the carpet because it takes hours for the glue to dry, which we were not made aware of! They were nice enough to agree to come the following day (which was a Sunday) since I was under the impression that "next day installation" meant that the carpet would actually be installed the next day! They were there for a couple of hours when I realized that they had started to move furniture back I decided to go down to check out the progress They were done but the carpet was bubbling all over and barely pulled tight to the wall When I asked them if that was they said there was no way for them to stretch the carpet any tighter because of the molding (trim work) around the bottom of the wall, when I told them that I wish we had known that because we would have removed the molding ahead of time they then blamed the fact that they couldnt use a strong glue because they didn't want to ruin our tile floor (which we had requested not be ruined during installation and they said it wouldn't be an issue) They said since we didn't want to ruin the tile floor they couldn't use a more permanent glue and therefore couldn't use the power stretcher to stretch the carpet tight I was very unhappy with the way it looked and concerned that we would have issues in the future so I didn't sign the papers when they were finished and Empire contacted me to send out another installation crew the following weekend (there goes another weekend sitting home waiting for installers to come during a hour window)
The new installation crew came and when I explained the situation they told me that they brought the correct (permanent) glue and that there would be no issues When they moved the furniture and pulled back the carpet all the tack strips started popping up off of the floor One of the installers noticed that the tile floor was dirty/dusty and mentioned that was another reason the glue was not sticking properly! He said the last installers should have cleaned the floor before putting down the tack strips and this was not done He said they would clean and re install the strips with the correct (permanent) glue Another couple hours later they re-stretched the carpet and fixed the noticeable seam down the middle of the room I came down to look and I have to say by my eye it looked much better than it originally was and knowing that it was permanent I was much happier I signed the installation papers and was ready to enjoy what is now our playroom for our month old son I was wrong again....not even months after the installation I began to notice fuzzy threads coming up from the seam in the middle of the room and by the edges near the staircase Having a very active month old, he noticed them too and began pulling at them ever chance he got It took all of my effort to keep him away from pulling on the fuzz to create any issues with the carpet, which is not my ideal situation for a "playroom" I vacuumed the caret only once since I have had it in fear that it would pull the fuzzy threads making the seam worse and when I did I vacuumed close to the wall and up came the carpet!!! Then I noticed a centimeter of space between the wall and the carpet in certain areas where the carpet started to come up, when I looked underneath I noticed the tack strips completely out of place and UNGLUED from the floor....what happened to PERMANENT?!? I called Empire immediately out of frustration They set up an appointment for someone to come inspect the issues and take photos
Trying my hardest to make a long story short but this is literally how long I feel the issue has gone on! Finally the inspector comes, sees the issues, takes photos and let me know that he will submit a report and someone will get back to us within a week Well weeks went by and still no word from anyone I called Empire yet again (meanwhile every time I call I am on hold for at least mins) spoke to another customer representative, explained my story AGAIN and they said they will contact the CT customer service representative Of course a voice mail was left because no one answered A couple of days went by and I thought really?? So I called again, sitting on hold again, explaining my story again, finally they left ANOTHER voice mail with the customer representative who then finally called me back! She told me that someone should have gotten back to me at least letting me know that the report was received and being reviewed and that she will look into it She assured me that I will hear back from her or another manager by Monday the latest! (this was the Wedbefore Thanksgiving) It is now Dec 9th and guess what....no word, no call back, no solution!!!!! I have finally called again (putting it off because I almost cant bare to be on hold and explain my story to a new person for what feels like the hundredth time!!!! Again no answer and I left a voice mail So now I am leaving this review in hopes that there will eventually be some solution to the disaster of a carpet I now have in my basement that looks like it has been through years of wear and tear but has actually only been there a few months and the best part is I am still paying for it!!!
Sincerely
-A VERY unhappy/frustrated customer!!!!

From making my appointment to the sales rep and through installation, everything was perfectI was very happy with my experience with Empire and will use them in the future

On March 23, Empire installed carpet in our house The installers did not install carpet correctly and broke tiles in bathroom floor and tub When we contact regional manager he accused of lying about the installers breaking tile and didn't see a problem with carpet installation After several no shows, a third party came to inspect carpet, and they informed us that the carpet needed to be replaced because it couldn't be repaired Empire was skeptical and sent out installers who told us the same thing I contacted corporate headquarters with no calls back after several days My husband got in touch with one employee and they scheduled installation for May On that day no one showed up and we contacted Empire They claim they left a voicemail explaining that they did not order carpet and would not install the carpet that day but would install it on May We were supposed to place our house on the market a week after installation and put off listing our house for a month

I would not hire this company againThey canceled the first installation dateThe next day they showed up with the incorrect flooring, and made me wait all day for the correct product to arriveThe third day installation took place in the kitchen and half bathHowever there was not enough flooring to do the full bathI agreed to let them put in the flooring they brought, that I didn't orderI knew it would look okay and I just wanted this doneAfter re-installing my toilets they said neither workedThey did not hook up my washer or dryerThey called Empire and said the company was sending a plumberThe plumber called todayHe will be here tomorrow at noonThe good news is that the carpet was installed this morning and is niceOn the downside, a job that I was told could be done on Wednesday and Thursday is still not doneI have non-working toilets, one also has a pan under it as it is leakingMy washer and dryer are not hooked up and I can't close the door from the laundry room into the garage as the dryer sticks out too farNow I have to wait one more dayLucky for me I have toiletsI have talked with several folks at Empire asking for compensationThey have offered 5%What a joke!!!!

I feel like when someone does a good job, it should be recognizedThe representative that came to our house (Nick I think, 12/9/2016, time window: 7pm-9pm) was knowledgable in the type of carpet we needed; as we have pets we did not want loops and something that will withstand accidentsHe was friendly and didn't bother going in-depth with other carpet that we didn't wantHe gave his recommendations and which carpet he actually bought from EmpireThe installation was on 12/17/and they arrived with the correct carpetsYes, it took all morning and a big chunk of the afternoon BUT it was a full basement, living room and sets of steps so it was expectedWe gave the workers tips when they were done and the carpets are holding strong against the few potty accidents we've had already from our pets

I called Empire after seeing the advertisement for 50% off products and servicesI had already had another estimateFirst, the gut shows up and when I asked about the sale he states "well that's irrelevant because we ll match competitors pricesConfused at how that's relevant to EMPIRE's sale price, I asked again and he quickly stated only two products were on sale and basically just blew me off and moved on showing me productsNow again, I'd been looking at different carpets and their specsI mentioned things to him like "BCF" and "polyester or nylon" as well as "face weight." He seemed irritated that I knew what I was talking about and said "come on you're getting a little too technical now." He then pulled out different samples and said "can you even tell which is which quality?" I picked the cheap one and he said "oh you noticed the warranty didn't you"I might add the prices were RIDICULOUS at $5-a sq ft where comparable carpets sold for around $2.50-a sq ftWhen I got a reasonable deal I agreed to the install being tired of shoppingWell, first they rescheduled my first install apptok, fineThen when install day came they called me to confirm my install appt for the next dayThey gave me an order number and sent the confirmation email tooThat morning comes and I hear nothing so I callI'm told "No you're on for tomorrow nowBut that's funny, we don't even have any installers until next week" I said " Are you kidding me?! Our beds are all torn down, our electronics disconnected, a giant heavy armoire is moved and now no carpet?!" The manager advised me she would try to get installers tomorrow and try to get a discountI waited nearly all day and no return call Finally I called back and was told she was gone to lunchNo call backI called and cancelled with another managerNow let's see if I get my depositEmpire is a nightmare!!!!!!

I ordered carpet and installation from Empire Carpeting, who stated the work would be done September 29, I was offered a $50-$prepaid *** for recommending a potential buyer The prepaid *** would be sent to me via mail as soon as the potential buyer ordered and paid for their carpet and installationFollowing the instructions, per Empire Carpeting, I proceeded to register my information on their website The website would not accept my information, as I tried to enter it three times I called the salesman, Pete, and explained the situation to him He suggested that I call Empire Carpeting directly to lodge my complaintI called Empire Carpeting immediately and was told by the operator that someone at the company would return my call.I waited one week for a return call from the company, but it never came I then called the salesman, and he again suggested that I call Empire Carpeting and ask to speak to a supervisor The operator informed me that there was not a supervisor available, and that one would return my call Two weeks later, after not hearing from the company, I called Empire Carpeting again The operator informed me that, even though the potential buyer had ordered and paid for the carpet they received, I was denied the prepaid *** because they said I did not follow the guidelines of the offer I explained to the operator my situation, and that I had went to their website three times to register for the prepaid *** but the website would not accept my information The operator told me that I had not followed the guidelines, and I would not be receiving the prepaid *** The operator connected me with a representative, who explained the guidelines to me I, again, informed them of my situation I was still denied the prepaid *** I spent my time waiting for a return call from a supervisor, which never came Since I waited for a return call for so long, I feel the offer was expired due to the time issueMy complaint to the Revdex.com is that the offer was mis-advertised and that the company deliberately waited for time to pass so they would not have to honor the offer Empire Carpeting took my recommendation and supplied them with carpet and installation The company received the monetary reward of that recommendation, but refuse to extend the said offer to meI feel this is unfair and not of good business practice

My experience with Empire Today was outstanding in all aspects Love the finished product

We had flooring installed by Empire and were very pleased with them from the scheduled appt to discuss what we wanted and the removal and installation of the product!! We will definitely use them again and will recommend them also!!
