I was honestly surprised that I chose Empire for my new carpetI'd shopped around, they had the best price and warranty availableThey were able to install a week after my appointmentThe installers worked hard to finish in one day Great experience all around
Extremely satisfactory experience from telephone scheduling to the very professional meeting with the sales representative to the installers
I have used Empire Today twice in the span of five years for new carpet in my home Both times the appointment process was easy, the representative came as scheduled and the carpet was installed on time I am highly satisfied with Empire and would recomend them unconditionally
Recently I hired Empire to install flooringThe process to schedule an appointment was simpleThe in home sales consultation was laid back, no pressure involvedWe reviewed many options and negotiated a price and product that fit my budget and styleThe installers were licensed and credentialedThe installation was completed within the timeframe explained and looks greatMy experience with Empire was excellent

pleased with all the purcases and installations We will use Empire for future needs for flooring for aare rental needs I do wish that Empire had samples of their products to give
their customersI do compare their price with others to make sure it's the best deal
My install was done through the Buda, Texas Empire Today
In home meeting with sales rep John *** on 05/08/ Choose flooring, including quarter round for kitchen, dining and bathroom Date for bathroom 05/17/ Date for bathroom 05/24/ Call to confirm the 05/17/date from company On the scheduled start date received a call that there was a "warehouse" problem Bathroom rescheduled On 05/24/kitchen/dining area started The quarter round color was to be caramel Installer had white Informed him white was not appropriate and refused to have it installed I insisted that I wanted what I ordered This went on and on I had conversations, and did complain several times The person Billy spoke to me as if I was totally clueless and functioned on a child level I was put on hold several times when I called the # I was informed that there was a problem in getting the product and the manufacturer was behind in production and shipments Finally the color caramel came in It did not match the transition caramel color that had been installed Again a conversation with Billy who said he would come Tues 06/07/and install new transitions that would match the quarter round This has not happened During conversations with Empire Today people I was told that matching quarter round was not done for luxury sheet vinyl That is not what the sales person saidFor the bathroom, after the warehouse problem the installer brought the sheet vinyl The flooring around the commode needed to be replaced The installer said he could not do this So he took pictures and left I called a handyman and the flooring was replaced Called Empire Today and the install was rescheduled for the following week I received a call that week that the sheet vinyl had creases that would not come out so new vinyl had to be ordered Install was rescheduled When installer came he wanted to be paid prior to installing the floor I refused as Empire no longer seemed trustworthy Said I would pay after job completed This was agreed onWhen you call Empire Today the first thing you hear is how they are approved "years by the Revdex.com" The commercials say they do things well and quickly Wish it were soIn review of the contract, they should have installed the sub floor They also left an unopened box of the luxury sheet vinyl planks, by the contract they should have taken it and credited my account However, they refused to take itWould never recommend them and I hope this will help anyone considering using them Be careful and make sure they have everything needed prior to starting the job Look at every piece of flooring Do not complete payment until job is completed correctly
Fabulous from start to finish from the sales rep, to the confirmation email the day before, the am phone call day of and polite, competent installers who did a fantastic job
I was utterly disappointed that this representative, Scott, from Empire misrepresented his actions by saying he was just giving me an estimate and had me "initial off" on a binding contract to purchase their products & serviceI stated from the beginning that we are getting estimates from them and another company to compareSince I was uncertain of the type of wood and if I wanted to include additional rooms, he said he saved estimates with those options and would email them to me He said he had "deeply discounted" the wood floors and this would hold the price until 5/25/he needed me to initial off He said he needed my email to send the estimate and to initial off on not getting email marketing emails Not once did he say this was a binding agreement but that's what I learned I had once the email came from Empire...with my initials throughout Never once did he say that I have days to cancel the "order" (not estimate) but it was written in the documents that I must put "in writing to their legal department in IL" to cancel within business days Further, he chose the most expensive option to put in the "contract" and we told him we were undecided So now I had to print and sign the cancellation sheet, express mail it so it's trackable and they know I NEVER intended to make a buying decision last night Empire has certainly lost the chance to do business with me and I was surprised that's how I was handled
I contracted with Empire Today to have vinyl flooring installed on 5/28/ My salesperson contacted the installation department to make sure my job could be completed by 4pm because I had to work that evening They gave the okay, the instructions to be completed by were entered in the contract, I gave a 10% deposit, and I signed the contract
On the morning of 5/28, I was called and told my arrival window was 4pm-6pm I informed the caller that would not work and referred her to my contract "Oh, you're right It says that right here Unfortunately, ma'am, we can't do that." I called around to find a family member to sit at my home and watch my pet for the installation At 3pm, I was called and told the installers were running late and wouldn't arrive until 6:or I told my family member not to hurry At 6:45, Empire left a message on my phone saying they were cancelling my installation I was at work at the time, and had to step away from my position to call Empire I called them back and told them they were breaking my contract without notice and that I should be reimbursed I was told by Joel, the customer floor supervisor, that I was already receiving a big discount and he couldn't discount my service any further
I re-scheduled for 5/31, demanding that I be first on the route or I would cancel my order I was told they cannot guarantee a time, but that my request would be noted
At 7:this morning, I was called by Empire and told my arrival window was 8am-9am I had my family member at my home by When nobody had arrived at 11:30, I called Empire I was told by Bernando that the installers didn't have everything they needed for installs today and that they had to drive back to Illinois to pick up supplies I was promised they would be at my house within an hour, or that I would be reimbursed for my inconvenience I left work five hours early to relieve my family member who had already spent almost four hours waiting
When the installers arrived just after noon, they told my family member and myself that they never went back to Illinois and that they were in fact at another install all morning They showed us their clipboard and my job was indeed marked #2, and the #job was at another home in my community They completed my install in just one hour, and left for their next job
Empire violated my contract on 5/28, lied to me about my arrival window 5/31, and then made up a story about why the installers were delayed This is unacceptable and completely horrible customer service They tout their world-class customer service in their hold music and their affiliation with the Revdex.com You might want to reconsider backing liars
Great selection of quality carpets and a great price after discounts were applied The installers were skilled and professional The only complaint I have is the installers forgot to do a couple of things but Empire resolved them ASAPEmpire made several calls to ensure everything was taken care of...great customer service
We went online to look for carpet companies and we needed work done right awayWe happened to call Empire for work in Oceanside homeWe were set up with a meeting right away, sold on the product/fair pricing and quick delivery/installEverything worked out as planned, no issues whatsoeverThe salesperson was very thorough, nice, respectable and informativeWe got our order in, and carpet was installed less than a week after we purchasedWe got great deal, tooInstallers were fast/efficient and cleanWe have nothing but great things to say about this experience and company! Thanks Empire!! The ***
For starters, what a terrible company to do business withUnorganized, disoriented, lost, I can go on but I am falling short of wordsThey were supposed finish installation in my home couple of months agoThe did 80% of the job and leftNothing I did, which is calling ten times, creating some cases, talking to supervisor or whoever they say they are helped in making sure the stuff is doneThey are supposed to be here tomorrow in the morningIf they aren't then I don't know what to even do, just to regret choosing an unprofessional company to do business with which I am confident is no short of a nightmareBravo guys!
My wife and I originally purchased carpet for rooms (including a nursery for a baby coming in less than months)After having a confirmation # and an confirmation email sent the day before, I found out that the date changed
They called me the day before and when I called back I was told they are just confirming my dateI said I already did that for tomorrow, and the guy said it wasn't in their systemHe didn't say ANYTHING about a change in date
Dan, the installation manager, finally called me and proceeded to tell me that they regularly overbook and their are people that have had their install dates changed more than once!
Since I don't appreciate businesses that can't keep their word after confirming, my wife and I decided to cancel the order and go elsewhere
Our entire experience was fantastic!
I had the best experience with Emire TodayThe salesman was great, and the installers as well The work was completed fast My house looks better than I could have imagined
We ordered blinds and shades for our whole house They were installed in a timely manner (at the estimated time) and for a great price They look beautiful!
The customer service representatives will change telephone encounters and the managers do not listen to customers at allI had a horrible experience with Empire and will make sure to let others knowWe had a date set to get carpet installed, then called to verify their arrival time, but instead got bumped to the following weekWhen we called again to get this straightened out, the manager told me I was wrong and that their employees never make mistakesTerrible company!!!
My wife and I were initially excited to use Empire Today for our flooring needs We went with Empire Today because we were assured that the installation would begin two days from when we purchased the flooring, and that the installation would only take one day Our credit card was charged immediately
Two days later, we received a call from Empire Today and were informed that the installation would take more than one day This was because, instead of beginning early in the day (as we were promised), the installers would not be able to begin until mid-afternoon As a result of this, we cancelled our order
We were told it would take 1-business days to receive a refund Despite repeated calls to Empire Today, it took more than weeks to get our money refunded Only after filing a dispute with our credit card, did we finally get our money back It is interesting that Empire Today charges your credit card immediately, and yet takes several weeks to refund the money
One good thing happenned during all of this--we had our flooring done by another company and paid less than half of what we would have paid Empire Today!
Our experience with Empire was great! Everything was completed in a timely and professional manner The installation team was at our house for a full day and was knowledgeable, considerate and professional Would recommend to friends and family
