Horrible customer service

We cancelled our services with AT&T after years However, they never terminated services internally Thus, we are being charged for services that were not used They send us to collections for $which they can not explain why First collections company Credence Resource Manag, TX dropped the case We sent in our explanation, and they returned the case to AT&TThen, Sunrise Credit Services, Inc, in NY Now AT&T is trying a different collections company named Diversified Consultants in FL An explanation letter was sent in to Diversified Consultants on march 21st, and as of today we have not received and answer It is our intention to clear this situation as soon as possible However, AT&T needs to do some internal work first It seems like it is a glitch on their system that never got fixedI WASN'T ABLE TO UPLOAD ALL PAGES OF SUPPORT DOCS Is there a fax number or mail address I may send these pages in? After recent conversations we experienced with AT&T customer service, we am certain this review is wasted time and energy, just as those conversations wereWe're not sure when AT&T became a company that has no regard for customer service, but know it is the case nowWe had been AT&T residential landline customers for years, most recent years with the same address and phone number, until last week We recently moved, and attempted to establish landline service at the new address (within the same locale), with no success, to date, due to the frustrating policy's imposed by the companyWe were actually told that establishing landline service "does NOT include a working jack"! That conversation resulted in deciding not to continue our serviceAfter much discussion, we decided that we still wanted to establish a landline, so we called back, within a week, to ask to re-establish the serviceThis was the most recent frustrating experienceWe were told that prior account history with AT&T does not count! That since we discontinued our service, last week, a credit check will be requiredWe are not concerned about the credit check, however, our credit reports are frozen to protect our creditThus, no immediate service can be established, since this will require contacting the credit bureaus to unlock our creditTo our knowledge we never once paid our bill late, in over years, but was told "that doesn't count"It appears, that this company doesn't really care if they keep customers, or notWhat a disappointing revelation

This complaint regards AT&T Uverse billing, and how they did not provide the discount offered beginning May 7, until presently (September 2, 2016)
When requesting transfer AT&T Uverse and internet service to my new apartment, the Customer Service Representative offered a package at a lower rate than my previous address He offered: Uverse U-200, 18mps internet speed, and home phone for $per month ($+ phone service at $9.99)plus required taxes and fees, for one (1) year term service This should have made the monthly bill around $135.xx My first bill total was $148.95, which was higher than expected, but not outrageous Now my bill has increased to $per month, plus taxes, which puts it closer to $per month!

In addition, I was charged over $to my account from ATT and no one can tell me what for!
At this point, I would like to cancel all my services, turn in the phones, received the credit I was promised and not occur $to cancel my services

I signed up to have UVerse installed in May of In that discussion in which I signed up and agreed to the services I was told by the sales person that I would receive the following for signing up: A 250$ gift card, Amazon prime for one year, and HBO go for a year I had indicated that there was a gentleman that had come by recently and talked about the gift card and they had the current promotions going onThe sales person affirmed in the phone call that I would get the gift card and the amazon prime and the hbo go When my service was first connected I did get the HBOgo Several weeks went by and enough time had passed and I called to check on my gift card A rep told me to wait a few more weeks because it could take up to six weeks I called back around July 9th and was surprised to talk to a guy that said I didn't qualify for the gift card and that he was going to have hi

wasted m,y time tech offered to upgrade for free and keep the price the same so I dont have to wait for another tech to come out for the better part of a decade I have have never had the speed I am being sold and paid forit is always 6-mbs less than what I payi always find myself waiting for four hours for a tech to come ot my housewho proceeds to fix the problem ONLY during the visit a week or two later and sure enough the problem continues and speeds drop att wants to continue trying this same approach
