In December of I submitted two applications for income riders on two Annuities that this company holdsIn January I received two letters stating there were errors on both applicationsI submitted corrected applicationsThe12th of February I finally received the first check on one of these Annuities the other is still being held upI called and spoke to a Customer Service Representative who claimed my wife's birthdate they had on file did not match the latest application for we submitted and they needed a copy of her drivers license to correct their recordsI E Mailed them a copy that same dayYesterday I called again and was told they needed yet another application formThe rep would not explain what was wrong just that they needed another formShe hung up on me stating the call was no longer productive even though I asked to speak to her supervisorI later called back, asked for a supervisor but that rep wanted to try to resolve the problem firstShe explained their po

Alliance One is a subcontractor billing for Athene Annuity Their current billing and paperwork and customer service are hopelessly incompetent

The last quarterly statement I recieved from Athene was Oct 1, thru Dec 31, I called times since 2/16/to send me statements and contract valueI still have not received anything in the mail from the 2/16/conversationThe person I called today, (5/1917) put me on hold for minutes then hung up on me I called a third time (5/19/17) and talked to Lisa who was extremely professional, but unfortunately indicated the same message as from 2/16/17: *** was contracted to maintain the statements and hasn't completed them so far It has been a year and a half! On 04/11/I called as I hadn't received a statement since 02/01/The rep said the same bs to me "the company was transitioning and didn't have access to anyone's account at this time." When I asked how long they had been transitioning, he said for the past monthsShort story is a customer cannot obtain any information from Athene as they don't know BUT he could place an order to have my most recent statement sent to me (this would take up to business days) I called back on 04/26/where I was told that the paperwork was still processing I called again on 05/11/and was told that the paperwork was still processingI asked to speak to a supervisor and was told that the supervisor had left for the day AMAZING! I said "Wow, all the employees were left without the supervision of a supervisor." I asked what the supervisor's name was I could only get *** B as the company is not ALLOWED to give out last names Short story...you do not have internet access to your money, you cannot get any information from the company about how much money you have or how to retrieve itHard to believe they can continue the business I will be posting all this information on my Business Facebook page to make sure that my friends, family and customers post it on their pages, and so on, and so onMy next step is to hire an attorney to file against the companyIt is one huge problem when a company holding all your savings cannot answer any questions about it

I have owned my Aviva/Athene annuity for over years Prior to the transfer of the service responsibilities to Alliance One, I was very happy with both my annuity's performance and the service I received Once Aviva was purchased by Apollo Global (a private equity firm) and the administration of the policy was transferred to Alliance One, service went from acceptable to dreadful Statements, formerly produced quarterly, were skipped for months without explanation The customer service reps don't have the slightest idea how to administer the policies From what I understand from my agent that sold this policy, Athene refuses to pay commissions that are owed on these policies
