Numerous phone calls to request withdrawal of my annuity funds and close the account have not been resolved
After numerous phone calls over the last month and a half to Alliance One, requesting they transfer 100% of my funds (minus taxes) from my annuity to my checking account and close my annuity account, I have gotten nowhereI've asked to speak to a supervisor and was told none availableThey cannot connect me to the department actually handling the processing of my request I filled out and faxed the form they sent to me on 7/21/I was told it would be done within 10-business days to process, which I think is a ridiculous amount of time to get my moneyI called them today, 8/11/16, (day 15) to find out the status and was told I sent the wrong form into them (the one they sent me to fill out)However, no one contacted me to tell me this, nor did they send me any communication or the correct form They are supposed to fax me the correct form today so I guess the proces
We have contacted the company three times to get a statement of our balance, there has been a statement in over a year,they keep promising to mail it
Our concern is their viability and lack of customer service, my husband it an agent and he is most concerned about this company

Wow, is all I can say I'm a registered rep helping a client go through the death of her father We filed the paperwork on aug 15th no response, sent again in sept, no response, called again in october, the athene rep said to email it We did No response, we called two weeks again, they said to fax it again, we did We then called today, 11/1, now they need a copy of a corporate resolution stating that the person at the receiving mutual fund company was an authorized signer for the letter of acceptance By the way, the receiving mutual fund company is one of the largest in the country When I questioned them today why they didn't call us to let us know, they said "We're a big company, we don't make phone calls out" months to get a death claim is horrendous I would tell anyone, stay far away from Athene for any life insurance products
THEY SOLD MY POLICY TO WHO? NEVER SEND US NOTICE I CALLED THEM WANTING TO KNOW WHY I DID NOT RECEIVE MY PAYMENT NOTICE THIS COMPANY SHOULD BE TAKING TO COURT I WOULD LIKE TO START A CLASS ACTION ON ATHENE LIFE I WAITING FOR A CALL BACK FROM ATTORNEY.
Run far, run fast from this company. Crooks, is the best way to describe them. My policy was "in review" for 11 months. No premiums were withdrawn during this time. Then, they wanted all 11 months at once. After several phone conversations, each one with a different person providing erroneous information about the previous phone call, (as well as a "statement" I supposedly made about the repayment which, depending on who I talked to, could have impacted my policy, lapse of coverage issues) I told them "No" and we agreed to a repayment plan. Despite this plan being in the notes and acknowledged by Athene's representatives, they proceeded to overdraft my account by taking 11, yes I said 11, monthly premiums at once. Not only did I incur overdraft and transfer fees for this, but covering subsequently scheduled auto pay bills and overdraft fees created some issues as well. I've been fighting, along with my agent, for a couple of weeks to get it back. My agent and I both were told last Wednesday (July 27) by Demi and her staff it would be refunded in 24-48 hours (Friday July 29). Still not there today (Tuesday Aug 2). Then somehow, on Friday (July 29), they enacted a new policy saying overcharges had to be held 7 days before they would be refunded (this came straight from Demi this morning). Since it was an automatic daft from my bank account, I can't figure out why these funds need to be held this long. Incompetence runs rampant in this company as well.
Very, very poor experience with this company. It took five months of repeated phone calls, letters, faxes, and aggravation to get my money transferred from Athene to another company. Each time I called, I was told another excuse. The excuses were not valid (they said a document had not been received that they had, they said I did not state the amount to transfer (I had checked "full amount" on their form), etc., etc. This is the poorest customer service possible. I recommend to stay away from this company. At one point I waited 75 minutes on hold to speak with a representative. Unacceptable!
Been trying to receive my money. Was to start in May 15th didn't happen, had to call in June because not paid on the 15th same thing in July. Talked to different reps and supervisor assured it was taken care of. Aug had to call not paid on 15th talked to reps and supervisor was paid on the 27th, this was after sending email to corporate office. Guess what sept comes it's the 15th
