Revdex.com Case#: *** Dear Revdex.com: Thank you for taking the time to contact our office with the consumer’s concerns. American Medical Response values our customers, and strives to provide quality service. American Medical Response has reviewed the concerns raised by the consumer. Due to a data entry error, the incorrect mailing address was entered in the system resulting in the consumer not receiving an invoice. AMR did not receive insurance coverage information at the time of service, and the account ultimately defaulted to an outside agency. At this time, we have cancelled the trip from collections, and confirmed there was no credit reporting. The consumer will no longer be contacted regarding this bill. Please accept our sincerest apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused Should the consumer have any further questions or concerns, I may be contacted directly at *** *** ***. Sincerely,

My husband was transported by AMR to our local hospital on 2/22/ At the time of transport, AMR representatives were given his DL and Insurance card with complete information The hospital and other providers managed to file insurance properly , get paid and bill us for our portion WE NEVER RECEIVED anything from AMR and then tonight we received a call from a collection agency Credence, saying the account was sent to collections and we owed the full amount A call to AMR echos what others have complained about , they said they didn't receive a complete contact address and the insurance info was incomplete So attempts to file and then to contact us were all returned Their representative said that he had no way of knowing if I was right or not that their reps had complete information But they could not call back the information from the collection agency however, they would forward the correct information for them to file Since ALL complaints on here are similar
My disabled father unfortunately needed a ride home from the hospital due to oxygen...so AMR was used $800+ dollars later to travel miles, I get a precollection noticeI call and speak to what I thought was someone in the US, and it is agreed that I am to pay a monthly payment until the amount is paid Fast track five months later, AMR sent my dad into collection despite making monthly payments, filling out two compassionate care applications and paperwork yet NEVER receiving a response to being told today that since I filled out the Compassionate Care Application that VOIDED the payment plan, yet each and every month they cash the check, so they put my dad into collection I called today and they told me she would have to email her supervisor and I have to call back in FIVE days to see if the account can be pulled back from collection!!!
On November I was taken to *** *** Medical Center by an American Medical Response ambulanceBefore the left our household premises my husband handed them our GEHA insurance cardHe followed the ambulance to the hospitalUpon arriving, my husband noticeably upset, forgot to ask for the card to be returnedThe company literally, not figuratively, had our insurance informationThe company wasted no time sending a bill for the full amountThe insurance was never filedMy husband had to resort to using my insurance card because he no longer had hisHe sent a copy of the insurance care, as well as a letter requesting that the insurance be filed, as we could not file it ourselves, not being provided with the trip number, which is apparently the only way that American Medical Response can find your informationThey said that they were not able to look up any of the information through the patient's name (mine), insured person's name (my husband), initial trip location (o
American Medical Response reported me to *** for a bill that my insurance paid almost a year ago I have receipt of the payment made by *** ***, and a canceled check for my outrageously high deductible that I paid
AMR billed $for a mile ambulance and falsely claimed and billed us for a life support rideAMR further stated that because this was a call to urgent care for a ride to emergency care, this was ok to bill at this higher rateOur daughter was not transported in life support modeDid not even ware an oxygen maskAMR drivers had casual conversation, including "sin't this a panic attack about boys" My daughter was released cleared from ER in hours for a asthma attack
Daughter was transported by AMR/*** *** 7/27/ Received bill for around early September Finally learned in end of October insurance was not payingPaid the amount with our credit card first week of November
February learned AMR/*** *** turned us over to *** *** *** for collection in November of TWO YEARS AFTER THE BILL WAS PAID
Called AMR and their response was "You should have paid your bill!" *** *** took the credit card payment confirmation number and said we were goodNow *** *** wants a statement from AMR/*** *** stating we paid them
AMR *** *** only will send a statement to me showing a zero balance but without any pay information or date was paidNor will they contact *** *** to clear the account - because it is not their problem
It is inconceivable that someone is sent to collections two years later for a paid in full account!
American medical response had repeatedly claimed to have billed my insurance(*** ***) even though my insurance said the oppositeAMR when confronted by my insurance on a conference call with me have changed their story two times when asked why you have not bill my insuranceMy son was taking on one of their ambulance on 2/14/2016, trip number ***.Their first claimed was it was declined by my insurance even though my insurance never receive their claimI have called many times to get this resolve but AMR response have been extremely slowMy insurance told me that the ambulance company sent a claim with the wrong insurance first under a female name with my son's address, than they sent a claim under my son's name and address but with wrong insurance company(*** ***) I have call repeatedly to get this resolve with AMR and they have not resolve this issueMy insurance covers the ambulance ride but you have day to file the complain otherwise it will not be cove
I was transported by ambulance on 10/16/for emergency heart surgery I never received a bill I am back in the hospital for lung surgery and got a call from a collections company this morning about an unpaid bill I never received the bill!!! When I called AMR I spoke with *** *** in the *** She told me that they had no address on file to send the bill to so they just sent it to collections I told her that was illegal as they had my correct address (the ambulance picked me up at my home, had my drivers license and insurance card so they had my home address) *** admitted it was AMR's fault and this should have never happened She said she would try to get it taken off my credit I told her she will as I am the innocent party and it all lies on AMR I have her the payment over the phone today to be current with the account I then called back to talk to the USA I spoke with *** #*** and she admitted four times it was AMR's fault Yet this is still

I am rejecting this response because:
The phone number and address you were attempting to contact was not given to you by myself or any person on the emergency room staff at Henry Mayo HospitalI contacted the medical records department at that hospital and they in fact gave me the Emergency room patient registration form from the date of service (see attached)The address and phone number you were using, as told to me by your employee, is from years prior to the date of the accident, when my husband received a different ambulance rideYour company never attempted to collect the current billing and/or insurance information that was readily available to youIn addition, your company also refused to remove the account from collections, saying they were no longer responsible after I provided the documents supporting thisI don't see how this is a legal business practice, selling a debt you never fully pursued, making a profit on it, and allowing the person to be pursued and negatively impacting their credit score when they were never in fact doing anything wrongI have filed further with the FTC

Husband being balance billed for ambulance services on 1/26/Original claim was submitted to insurance on 3/25/for $and AMR received their portion of the claim, per the contract with BCBS, of $ Now we keep getting bills for the balance, $Once the original claim was submitted, the only portion we were responsible for was the coinsurance portion, which per our EOB was $which was paid to AMR by usThis still has not been resolved and has been escalated to the Provider Relations department of the local BCBS where I have been told that MANY of MANY insured are having the same issues with AMR and being balance billedNow we are getting harassing letters stating that there has been no contact, not true since they have been contacted by BCBS with a day letter on holding the account and extensively reviewing the contract, and payment per the EOB was madeBCBS stated that AMR were not to contact us, that AMR needed to submit an appeal for the claim on any
I have been dealing with a bill from American Medical Response now for two yearsI have documentation and proof that *** *** Insurance, Claim # *** has paid them, with proof of a canceled check in the amount of $American Medical Response sent me to a collections agency so I had to have proof of the check and I've been on the phone numerous times with the Claims specialist, Steve H*** from *** ***I thought everything was taken care of and now I receive ANOTHER bill from AMR in the amount of $and so I called to dispute the charge and I asked for a supervisorThey had me on the phone for close to an hour of waiting to speak to someone about this error and that I have already paid*** *** also emailed them with proof of the checkI am not sure what else to do, but I am tired of being harassed with bills that have already been paid with my claim
I received a bill in my name for my ambulance service to the hospital here in Cheyenne Wyoming and the bill came from American Medical Response I called in to customer service and from day one not much help I don't qualify for the compassionate care program they have I cant get a lower discount on my bill because I'm not in the same state as them I'm a mom of three kids I cant afford or dollar payments a month all I can afford is dollars a month I'm upset your company doesn't know them meaning of customer service I don't have insurance like everyone else I cant afford it I'm not happy period from day one I have got the run around with this company
The original date of service was years agoHere are the things AMR has done wrong, and why this bill still shows as pending:
I was not sent the first bill until months after the date of serviceSince I only have months with my insurance to file a dispute, I could not dispute this bill because I received it so late
After numerous calls to their call center, I was finally able to talk to a managerThe manager said I will qualify for their financial welfare program, through which my bill will be waivedI gave them extra information as requested, mailed in everything as well as faxedAfter months, I just got a bill in mail and when I called back in, I was told I did not qualify for the program
After trying to contact them through social media, I was connected with another manager who gave me a 30% discount on the billI agreed to that and made the payment of remaining balance in sept
After months, I still got a bill in mailWhen I called and inquir
I had an ambulance service over a year ago that was billed to me through American Medical ResponseMy insurance covered the claimHowever American Medical Response has repeatedly sent me a bill for the full amount which I am not obligated to payI have contacted both AMR and my insurance multiple times to resolve the issueCalls have been made, balance billing letters sent, confirmations given, but still AMR is billing me for the full amount and threatening me with collections noticesMy insurance company has talked to their managers and whoever else multiple times and still they continue for over a year nowI want this to stopI believe at this point they are intentionally trying to strong arm me into paying the full amount of money that I do not owe them with their credit and collections threats due to the fact they are ignoring what the insurance company is telling them regarding the claim
I have received several fraudulent billing statements from American Medical Response and I have called them and the health Insurance company (Western Health Advantage) no less than times to resolve itHowever despite confirming to American Medical response several times the amount has been paid by the insurance they continue to send me the invoice stating that it was not settledThese numerous calls and verification of payment have been ignored when asked if they could call directly to the same insurance company that they had called before they said they could not call the insurance companyIf you ask for management to explain they tell you the phone line is bad and can not hear youAll of these call center people are in the Philippines and have the same answers despite evidence to the contraryThe only option left is to file a lawsuit costing the same amount as the invoice they continue to send you for 1,which is the same exact amount of the check paid by western health
