I went in and paid cash for two queen and one kind bedroom suits, kitchen table and chairs, and a living room set. Not only did “someone” disclose my personal purchase information, leaving my children and I in danger, but I was not notified prior to paying that the couch, kitchen table and chairs were on back order until AFTER I paid. Then one of the dressers delivered was damaged, and here it is almost TWO months later and I still don’t have my couch or kitchen table and chairs and they still haven’t replaced my dresser. I have received three phone calls of information saying they would deliever on such date and the never called or showed up.

Will never shop here again. Online Advertisements are not available in store. I pulled up their website and showed the guys in Helena, AL and he said that price was for one item although the picture and wordings on website said a package. Then when I asked about the 3 piece recliner living room SET, which I was also online, they said it’s for the sectional and a recliner! Then when I questioned the validity of their website, guy then said, “Oh, this hadn’t come in yet neither the bedroom package. It’ll be here within a week”. REALLY? I guess that was his way of dismissing what I asked regarding false advertising online. I guess they figured if you come in anyway, you’re going to buy something even though it’s not what you came in for. I left disappointed and happy that I didn’t purchase anything after reading these reviews. If you want furniture, go to a reputable place that stands by their name and what their advertisement says. I gave 1 star because it wouldn’t let me skip it or leave a half star.

I spent a bit over $600 to american freight in July of 2018. I purchased a bunk bed and a new mattress. During the time of purchase I remembered the woman who was checking me out at the front telling her co workers that the bunk bed I was buying had “a millon pieces”. American freight sends another company that they work through that handles all deliveries and set up of their furniture. I was told during time of purchase the set up fee through the company they work through would be a separate fee of $75 and that they only set up furniture if they “have the time” and they will call me 30 minutes ahead to let me know they are on the way. What actually ended up happening was the delivery guy didn’t call me until he had already arrived at my apartment. When he called I told him I was not home but I can be there in about 10 minutes. He called back after the 10 minutes again rushing me. During the time of delivery I paid the delivery guy $80 instead because I didn’t have any change to pay exactly $75. Then the guy said that he didn’t have time to set my bunk bed up and that he would have to come on a different day to my house to set up my furniture and he would have my change then. He told me that he was late to his other customers and was in a hurry. So I said “ok understood” So we scheduled for the next morning but he never showed. I called the delivery guy back and asked what happened to him coming he told me he “slept in too late” and apologized. He told me he would come by in the evening and never showed. That continued for days. I had been calling this guy and politely texting him asking when would he be by to help me with set up. I was constantly apologized to and given the run around each time I reached out. I was told he was going to call but didn’t remember my phone number or he would say he tried calling me yet I had no missed calls from him. He also kept telling me had a “busy day”and he would be by on a certain day and a certain time but would never show. Mind you all these times, I would sit at home expecting this man to show up. I was always nice and understanding and didn’t give him a hard time as I know they have other customers but the way I was handled as a paying customer was bs. At the end of all the bs I never got my bunk bed set up for my kids nor my damn change back. I did in fact end up driving back to american freight to complain. I asked to speak with a manager about my bunk bed set up so they called for the guy responsible for delivery and set up to come to the front to speak with me. The guy that came to the front was the same guy that kept giving me his word that he would come and set up my bed. Of course he once again told me he would be to my home later that day to set up and that he has been busy. He even had nerve to let me know that he just recently delivered furniture to my neighbor but didn’t stop by my apartment because he assumed I already got the bunk bed up. That evening the man STILL never showed. I am a single mom of 3 and I know nothing about setting up a bed nor did I have anyone reliable to help me with the set up. Therefore I really counted on that delivery guy to come through. American freight does have a nice collection of merchandise but if you buy anything from them do not buy anything that has to be set up that has “a million pieces” as they will duck you to getting the furniture you paid for set up. I’ll spend my money to a company that appreciates my business, respects my time and hard earned money. I didn’t intend on leaving a bad review at the end of all this but at this point I have exhausted all of my options. I intended to go back to purchase a living room suite but since I had this bad experience I’ll will not spend any more of my money to american freight.

On Saturday, I had a bedroom set delivered. Once it was delivered, I discovered that the dresser was cracked on the corner. I called what I thought was the Marietta store ( but was actually the Stone Mountain store) and spoke to a manager name Delmon. He advised me to send a picture and email it to him and he will call back by the end of the business day. He never called back so I called the same number back on sunday and spoke with Delmon. He said he called me back, however I never saw a missed call nor a voicemail. After going back and forth, I asked what is the solution. He said that he will send the email to corporate and call me back between 12-2 on monday to discuss time for a swap. So monday came and no phone call, so I called at 3. Spoke to Delmon and he said that someone will pick up my furniture tomorrow. He said that they would call me 45 mins ahead of time and I said ok. So after no call again, I called back on Tuesday around 4:30 and spoke to Delmon. He was very nonchalent and sounded kinda irritated. He called me by the wrong name and when I corrected him, he said hold on. He came back to the phone and said, you ordered your furniture in the Marietta office so you need to call them and schedule a pick up. I reminded him that I have been speaking to him since Saturday and you are just now telling me that I have been calling the wrong office. He never apologized and rudely said you need to call them, I can just see your account, I can't help. I told him that I did not like his tone and his disregard to assist. I disconnected the call and found the correct number to the Marietta office. I finally called the right office and spoke to Manny. He was very apologetic and offered to have the drivers swap out my furniture the same day.
Today I spoke to Mr. R after leaving a message about my concerns of my treatment and he became quite defensive by saying, but you called the incorrect office. I informed him that I did not know that I was until Tuesday. How Delmon treated me is my complaint. He did not have to dismiss me and become so combative with me from Saturday to Tuesday. I makes me feel as though my hard earned money isnt ***reciated from this company. I have been a long time customer however I do not believer I will continue. I ***reciate Manny for his stellar customer service, which should be trained across this company.

The quality of the couch and loveseat hat we bought was poor. This would be the first time I purchased a set that started sagging after only 4 months of ownership. I complained to them and got no response back. They ignored me after I emailed them pictures. I will not purchase here again!

American Freight does not have good business practices. I went in to purchase a sofa and love seat and was advised the one I requested was not in their warehouse. After purchase I was advise it would be a month. Upon getting a call from a 3rd party delivery service, I was advise it would cost me 69.00 for delivery. Something that was never devolved during my purchase or on my receipt. When I called Americn Freight Brian was unkind not willing to give me his last name and stated they use a 3rd party delivery service and the cost was 69.00. He would not discuss the fact that my receipt did not reflect a delivery change or the reason why the salesman did not share this informarion prior to purchase.

I ordered and paid for a bedroom set for my daughter June 2nd 2018. The headboard was on back order and they said they would call me in 7 to 10 days. They didn't call so I did. The headboard was still not in. I call a couple more times and even went there to see if I could get a refund. I was told I can't get a refund because it was a packaged deal. It's now October and I still don't have a headboard.
Failed to deliver all items I purchased on the promised day. Delivery drivers then started they were unable to bring the forgotten items back that same day. I was then told I had to come pick up the items myself if I wanted the items. I was then told by Matt that he could not compensate me for my troubles on having to come out and pick up the items. Terrible customer service. Beware of false promises and lack of effort to make up on their errors.

At no time was it explained that there would be a 100% leasing markup on our furniture. So instead of paying the $998 we ended up having an agreement of almost 2000. Then when then when I called their financing company they flat out didnt tell me there was a leaseing fee when I asked how much and what we were paying for and if there would be any additional fees on top. I have never been so dissatisfied with your team. I used to recommend you too all my friends and family but now will tell them to go to somewhere name brand since I could have gotten alot more for my 2000. Now im stuck fighting with this finance company over there inexperenced reps and your shady sales practices and omiting very valuable information to prospective buyers because you wanted a sale.

Upon getting approved for credit for purchase. I specifically asked the sales associate if that was a monthly payment , he confirmed several times in fact even showing me the paper work stating that it was to going to be my MONTHLY payment, however 1 week later I received a call from financial department stating my payments are weekly and was requested another payment outside the scheduled payment date. After trying numerous times to explain and ask for understanding I kept being passed around as well as shuffled as someone they really didn't care to help or show any concern for. ....
Dealing with my mother in hospital fighting cancer and having to leave to deal with this foolishness. Even from leadership , the quality of service was not at all present or represented from a company who prides themselves on customer service , is extremely horrible.
I have spread and recommended all my family and friends as well as future potential customer to RUN to another source for furniture, DO NOT come to american freight, ESPECIALLY do not get anything financed, bunch of liars.

In April this year I put a sectional on layaway at the *** store, I called my payments in over the phone because I live an hour away from this location, at the end of July I called to pay my last payment, at that time I was told by the manager of the store to "hold off on that last payment" they no longer had that sectional in stock and to come down to pick something else and even if it was more money he would "eat the price" for the inconvenience , well I have been visiting their website frequently to try and find something else I like and they do not have anything else that I like so I went to the store in *** last night to discuss this with the store manager Sam, only to find out he has since been fired for stealing. For example taking peoples payments and not giving them a receipt and keeping the money! So anyway I was told I could not have a refund only store credit and to just keep checking back for something I like. On my receipt it states "if the merchandise is not available within four week period, you will be entitled to a FULL refund or ALL LAYAWAY PAYMENTS" I am going back to the store today with my husband and getting my money back! After reading reviews on here about bedbugs and people having so many problems with this place I do not want anything from this place except my money!!

Me and my husband walked into American Freight looking for a dining room set an associate name Wesley came up to us asking if we needed any help and we asked if our first choice of a dining room was available. He said he would go check and let us know when he returned he came back and said that they didn't have that model available so we picked out another model and he stated again that he would go and check if there was any more models available. He came back and said that yes there was one more available so we went ahead and said we would purchase that model. He seemed super nice and kept saying how he was going to look out for us and give us a discount and also said that he was giving us a 5 year replacement plan. And gave us a delivery date and what seemed was a great purchase turned out to be a huge scam. When we got our delivery the table and chair were all scratched and one of the legs of the chairs was pretty much about to break and they delivered 5 chairs of our 6 chair set. So I went ahead and called American Freight and spoke to who said was the manager and he stated that there was nothing he could do that we bought the floor model and the floor models are sold as is. Mind you why would I buy an incomplete dining set it just makes no sense. And we were never told we were buying a floor model because if that was the case I would of never of spent that much money for a floor model. I know for a fact that it wasn't a floor model because the sale associate Wesley said that he himself would be building the chairs so he was going to make sure they were built right. So tell me if that was the case then why did I receive the floor model. Now to go on about the 5 chairs, the manager stated that the floor model came with 5 chairs but our receipt it clearly says 6 chairs and I have picture proof that the floor model included 6 chairs. This company is a complete rip off and the associate Wesley is a scam artist please whatever you do dont buy from this company unless your looking for lies and a big head ache. I am contacting the corporate office as well as the Revdex.com so they are aware of this store that scams people for their money with their lies and tricks. If I could give them no stars I would because this place does not deserve any ratings.

American Freight advertises great sales on television but the furniture they are selling at the great price is low quality. They have better furniture that they place in other rooms that they don't show you. I found mine by walking into the dining sets. After choosing a set at a reasonable price they offered to finance including 101 days of free interest. That sounded great until I signed the paperwork and realized that if I did not completely pay it off within those 101 days then I would end up paying over double. My total was approximately $875 and I would end up paying more than $1900 if it was not taken care of. The interest they charge is absolutely ridiculous and should be illegal. They have to have a credit or debit card to submit the paperwork to finance. They did not say until afterward that they would automatically take a payment from it. They did a down payment on mine which they did not submit as a credit charge it was done as a cash advance which my credit card charges a fee for. I called the finance company they use and they changed my card to a bank account so that does not happen again but did not offer an apology or a credit. They also could not tell me where my down payment went to because it did not go toward my purchase. Their advertising is very misleading and the sales associates are not very knowledgeable of the finance policy. Once you sign you are stuck with this and it should not be allowed or tolerated. They also offered me free cleaner before I left but it was not cleaner...it was furniture polish for wood and leather and I did not purchase either so it did not help me.

Went in April 2018 looking for a Sectional sofa for $1000.00 and after talikng to the sales person opted to finance it thru their financing company. "they said after the 90 days free intrest it will only be a 24% intrest for the remainder). FALSE its a total SCAM!!!!!!!! we paid $800.00 with in the 90 days of free intrest, till now we have paid $1200.00. Called their after their financing company andnow charging us $1200.00 on top of the $800.00 that we already paid. their financing is a CONTRACT TO RENTAL TO LEASE!!!

THIS PLACE HAS BED BUGS!!! YES BED BUGS. They just sold a mattress to my son and his GF. $800 for mattress and box spring. They got it home to the newly remodeled house and 2 days later they were bitten no less than 100 times by bed bugs. We found them in and on the mattress and box spring that morning. They are disgusting. They called the store and the store said to bad so sad, we have your money there is nothing we will do. DON"T buy anything from these crooks. They just would like to change out the mattress and box spring for something new. The store will not do it. They spent money to stay in a hotel when they had the house sprayed, they did not get any bites for a week. They purchased one of these mattress protectors to keep the bugs in, sprayed again. Stayed there one more night, They were bit up again when they woke up. My hope is we can somehow get them out of the house. DON'T buy anything from this dirty nasty place. I have been told, what places like this do, is buy used mattress and repackage them as new. That is the only way this mattress could have gotten bed bugs unless it got them from their store... If that is the case, every piece of furniture in the store would have bed bugs in it. DO YOU want to take that chance? PLEASE share this post so people won't spread BED BUGS to everyone in TOPEKA.
I bought a mattress and a sectional during one of their promotions. I decided to use their finance option for the first time. I originally wanted to do the layaway, but was told that they don't do that anymore. I asked how long the payments were and was told 24 weeks which is 6 months. Turns out if it's not paid off in 4 months they add fees and interest which drags it out a year. But the payment is auto deducted from my account so I don't have control how much or how quickly it's paid. I get no statements to know what my interest rates are, the fees, or what I still owe. Yep. By the time I'm done I'll have paid twice what I bought it for. And they purposely kept that from me because I asked before I signed anything.

After only having my furniture for a day I noticed bugs coming out of the furniture I later found out a day or two later that they were bed bugs I called the company to tell them that the furniture that they had sold me was infested with bedbugs they denied my claim and hung up the phone
I PURCHASED A BED AND MATTRESS SET AND WAS TALKED INTO MAKING WEEKLY PAYMENTS TOLD IT WOULD BE SAME AS CASH FOR 6 MONTHS BY THE SALES ASSOCIATE. ONLY TO FIND OUT 4 WEEKS AFTER BRINGING THE BED HOME THAT WHAT HE ACTUALLY HAD ME SIGNED UP TO DO WAS A LEASE TO OWN AGREEMENT. IT TOOK 4 WEEKS TO GET THE AGREEMENT IN MY E-MAIL, FINALLY, AFTER REQUESTING IT 8-10 DIFFERENT TIMES BEFORE GIVING MY 1ST PAYMENT. WHEN I QUESTIONED WHY MY INITIAL MONIES DOWN PLUS WHAT I HAD JUST PAID SHOULD HAVE HAD THE CASH PRICE OF 896.00 DOWN TO 700. THAT WAS 5 WEEKS AFTER BRINGING THE BED HOME, THE BALANCE WAS LITERALLY ONLY 56.00 DOLLARS LESS AFTER PAYING 196.00 INTO THIS, THATS THE FIRST I LEARNED OF THIS LEASE/RENT TO OWN. OF COARSE THIS BECOMES MY WORD AGAINST THE SALES PERSONS. HOWEVER THE WAY THIS ALL HAPPENED THERES NO WAY IT COULD BE THE 1ST TIME SO LOOK INTO IT ON YOUR OWN, HOWEVER ONLY PAY CASH FROM THIS PLACE OR YOU WILL GET STUCK BY THE OUT OF NOWHERE BANK THEY DO BUSINESS WITH WINDING UP NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT PAYING 3,000.00 FOR A BED IN WEEKLY PAYMENTS THAT I COULD HAVE JUST PAID 896.00 SAME DAY FOR. AS FOR THE BANK, AMERICAN FIRST FINANCE, THEY WITHOUT MY APPROVAL STARTED TAKING MONIES OUT OF MY ACCOUT AS THEY SAW FIT UNTILL I HAD TO CANCEL THE ACCOUT TO STOP THEM . THEY THEN STARTED DOING THE SAME FROM MY WIFES ACCOUNT TILL CANCELING HERS AS WELL. THEY LITERALLY STOLE MONIE FROM OUR ACCOUNTS AND WE WERE TOLD THERE WAS NOTHING THAT COULD BE DONE DUE TO US GIVING THEM THE INFO IN THE FIRST PLACE EVEN THOUGH NEVER GIVING PERMISSIONS TO DO SO. PLEASE STAY CLEAR FROM BOTH OF THESE BUSINESSES FOR YOUR OWN GOOD. LIKE I SAID THE WAY THEY DID US THERES NO WAY WE WERE THE FIRST/ ONLY/ NOR IM SURE GOING TO BE THE LAST.
