About a month ago I purchased a living room suit and dinning suit from American Freight. After not hearing from them in three weeks I contacted the company and they said it was scheduled to be delivered on the first. I don't know why? Therefore, I set up a delivery for the 14th of June. When talking to the delivery guy he said the table and chairs were coming In pieces and require me to put them together. I have never heard of a person having to put their own table and chairs together. Therefore, I contacted the store. When calling the store I asked to speak with a manager. The gentleman said he was on the other line and could he help. I said likely not and he asked to try. So I told him the issue. He then went on to argue with me to the point that I just thought I can not believe this employee is going to argue and hung up. Then he had enough nerve to call me back and argue some more. I hung up on him again when I said I would return the table and he said all sales are final. So here I am paying nearly $1000 for a table that I have to put together and can not return. I went on the Revdex.com website. The company asked for anyone who has a complaint to please contact them first. I tried to call and was sent to a voicemail. As a business professional I don't believe that to be the best way to resolve customer satisfaction.
American Freight has offered the customer a $100 principal reduction on their American First Finance account in which is the amount to hire the delivery team to assemble.

This is not professional at all. I paid for a set with the Kelly recliner that I was told when I came in there in a Friday May 3rd and was told there were 3 if these recliners. Now Monday May 6th delivery I just get my sectional with no chair. I was told inventory was messed up. Then I called cause I was going to add a 2nd chair and was told oh yes we have 2 left in stock. Then told another story about inventory. I had enough of the time around so I called head quarters . I was giving half my money back and a date of June 24th. However, reading some reviews this seems to be a major issue with this so called inventory. Why should us customers pay you upfront and yet have to wait one, two months for our product?? I was told from head quarters that people in Florida have been waiting 2 months. Again not professional at all . So you only get a shipment every so often?? The product should be here already. I then called the store in Savannah and was told by one person oh yes your recliner just came in. Then a manager tells me oh you were told when it comes we will call you. This is ridiculous... Never seen anything like this. You always want to keep your customers happy because as you know by word of mouth with negative things being told can and will affect your business. The recliner at this point should be free. I should have my chair before the 24th of June

I purchased 3 dressers on 3/1/19 had it delivered next day. Then we unboxed 2 dressers and left one for the mean time still in box the following day my daughter spotted a cockroach crawling out the box Ed one and got my wife she killed it after she took pictures and sent them to me I then contacted American freight and asked them to take them back and give us full refund the store manager was very rude refused so I called the corporate office when contacted back by corporate manager re said someone would come get the three dressers and refund us our money two days later they came back and picked it up and said as soon as they get back to store they will process our return money in the amount of 664.61 and now two months later after all three dressers where picked up I still don’t have a refund in fact after 2 weeks I reported it to my bank and they are saying I bought the furniture I have 3 witnesses showing the same delivery guys picked it up that dropped it off. Not to mention all my kids and I am about to take legal action with the consumer protection agency and the attorney state generals office. My wife is disabled and we are low income this is criminally wrong I just want that money back it is for our children. The dressers where for our kids.
American Freight had previously informed the customer that they would need to come into the store to have a refund processed onto their card. The store manager will attempt to contact the customer directly to perform the refund over the phone if the customer would prefer, or the customer can stop into the store to perform the refund.

I would like to note that they originally didn’t inform me I needed to be present in store or I would have been there that day they picked up the three dressers and if you want proof I have three witnesses that was present. But refund is being processed now as of 5/30/2019 as of 2:30 pm.

This is our follow up email conversation after a phone conversation that Duane D (store owner) was reciting the manufactures warranty and that he wasn't going to address the issue with the mattress.
***. Per our conversation. You have reported that at this time that there is no defects and that you simply do not find this mattress comfortable. If you can Identify a manufacturers defect such as a dip or sag greater than 2 inches we will be happy to get you a new mattress.
The offer to give you a great deal on a new mattress still stands. But there will be no refunds on the current mattress.

Let's get something straight here. The expensive mattress that I purchase is not comfortable like the one you have on display at the store. This mattress is to firm. It's not contorting around my upper body. I'm a heavy side sleeper and is just not adjusting like it should. You mention that you're the owner, than act like a respectable business man that takes pride and stands behind the product it sells and knows how to take care of his customers. You mentioned that sometimes the more expensive items are not always the best. In my case your statement doesn't apply because I tried all of the mattress on the floor that you carry and this mattress felt the best. When I was at the store and Mathew (store manager) was helping me with my selection. He told me that the mattress I purchase is the best that you carry. The display model feels very comfortable and this mattress does not. Your display model has been on the floor for quite a while according to Mathew. He stated that people stay away after they see the price of the item. Therefore, this mattress has not got a lot of use. By the way, you need to stop saying that I don't like the mattress because that's not the case here. This mattress is not performing like it should and is not because I don't like it. This is the second mattress I try. The first one was way worse than this one. That mattress was very firm and it was nothing like the display. Mathew told me that there was a possibility that they gave a mattress that was at the bottom of the pile. He said that this happened one other time. This second one is slightly better. Unfortunately it still not very comfortable. Like I mentioned before on my previous email. I'm getting numbness on my arms, upper back pain, neck pain, and sleepless nights. I wake up tire in the mornings and is affecting me at work. I shouldn't be experience this kind of discomfort from this type of mattress. NOW!!! The icing on the cake here. With the statements that you made to me is just plain shady. If you where actually honest and believe plus stand by the product you sell. You wouldn't be telling me to keep this bad mattress and give you more money because you're going to give me a smoking deal if I buy another mattress from you. That's just a typical shady business man that's trying to squeeze more money out of a customer instead of dealing with the actual situation and try to help and resolve this issue. This is just another shady company that has found loop holes that lets you get away with not providing valuable customer service and do the right thing by your customers. Yes... you mention that there are 20+ stores and have been in business for over 20+ yrs and that possible have been on tv. Many good companies started hones and then they turn bad. Actions speak louder than words my good sir. I do appreciate you showing me your true colors.

I purchased a Watson Collection Sectional at American Freight on 4/16/2019. The salesperson (Wesley) I spoke with who handled everything was very nice. However, it is approaching week 5 and still no sectional. The website states that if you have not received you product after 4 weeks then you will be granted a refund. I have called and went to the store multiple times and they tell me the same thing which is (Your couch is not in stock and we're still waiting. I was told when ordering the couch that it was already backordered. My salesperson DID let me know that it would be between 2-4 weeks and that it usually doesn't take that long. I paid $872 for that sectional and almost 5 weeks later I still don't have it nor have any new information. On 5/16 I went directly to the site and put in all my information (name, email, store I purchased sectional) and let them know about the issue. Today is 5/20/2019 and still no response. I am tired of going up there to the store and calling about this issue. I also purchased a mattress from them and had no problem. The last time I called the person I spoke with offered me a different couch which led me to believe they no longer even have the couch. If that is the case, they should tell people that. At this point, I will not reach out to the store or American Freight in any capacity.

american freight has false advertising.what they call lay away does not exist,what that means is
you get what is on the floor , no warehouse of items . we had furniture on " layaway" when we went to finalize our purchase we were told the furniture had been sold and also no longer available, we were told in no certain terms that we had to use the money we had already paid had to used as in store credit only,over 500.00 dollars, absolutely refused a full refund. recently I was told I had until
June 11 to make a purchase,then they will start taking out 10.00 a month out of my store credit.I am extremely angry with this stores business practices. oh, also they could not or would not tell me
when my furniture was sold. F or all I know I could have making payments on furniture that was already sold.!!!!

I bought a mattress set from American Freight, after about 3 months, the box springs broke and they said it wasnt there fault, I have a 10 year warranty, and American Freight wont back it

I financed furniture through American Freight Furniture on April 5, 2019. I was advised that the only two items that were not in stock at the moment were the one of the bed frame and the sectional. The sales representative assured be that items would be ready well before the requested pick-up date of April 21, 2019. I moved earlier than expected on April 19, 2019 and rented a U-Haul to pick up my items. I was informed that only one of the bed frames I had ordered was ready and the mattresses. I was advised that the remainder of my items( the second bed frame and the sectional) would be ready next week. The following week arrived and I was informed that the bed frame was available but the sectional was still not ready and that it would be ready Friday May 3, 2019. I called the store and was told the sectional should be ready that day, and if not I could choose from something that was in stock and the store would pay the difference. That afternoon I went to the store and I was told the sectional would be ready Monday May 6, 2019. Now the store is saying my sectional will not be ready until later this week. They have also refused to deliver the sectional for free when it is delivered. I work full time and go to school. It has been extremely inconvenient to rearrange times to pick up my furniture that should have been ready two weeks ago. I have made my first payment for my furniture that was due May 5, based on the delivery date, yet I still haven’t received all of my furniture. If the store was willing to offer to pay the difference for new furniture, they most certainly should be able to deliver the furniture to my address, or work out arrangements to have it done. I ask the store send the updated delivery date to the finance company, and rectify the ongoing inconveniences I have faced.
American Freight has spoken with the customer. Their order will be delivered free on 5/7/19 and will provide the customer with a $100 in store credit towards their next purchase and a free lamp with their delivery.

I went and bought a bed from.them last year and have been happy with their services so this year approx Feb and went and bought a couch now when I went there I asked them if with my remaining balance they would just add that to my new balance they verified yea that it would only be 1 biweekly payment of $50 I was fine with that because I told them I was not buying the couch unless it was only 1 payment not 2 payments so the first payment I paid at store so come the time for the second payment which gets taken out of my account every 2 weeks and I get a payment for one and them hrs later another payment so I called and discussed this and they were completely clueless and of no help and by the time I got done on the phone for 2 hrs they resolved NOTHING now I've been paying 2 payments every 2 weeks and come this week the one payment gets taken out and the other one didn't but come Saturday they took the second payment and then come Sunday they took a third payment and have now emptied my bank account and they won't resolve anything u want some sort of resolution oout of this. Ecsuee now I have no money for 2 weeks because they are just taking payments whenever they feel like it and that won't take my couch back for refund I'm so frustrated and irate I will NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN OR RECCOMEND ANYONE TO GO THERE.THEYRE CLUELESS AND DISORGANIZED AND NOW TAKING ALL MY MONEY IM DONE AND DONT EVEN WANT THE COUCH ANYMORE
American Freight is unable to check into the customers payment history due to personal information security. However, American Freight can verify that the customer made 2 purchases using American First Finance at different times. One purchase on 9/21/18 and another purchase on 2/28/19. Each of these accounts with American First Finance would have separate payments, not 1 single payment. If the customer has any further questions or concerns about American First Finance, they can contact them directly at or file a complaint directly with them.
I understand it's trhu American first finance I will file a complaint towards them but American freight is where it all started and they're poor customer services were horrible and all the references I made will no longer be coming to tour store so you lost alot of business very unhappy with company

The consumer purchased a couch set in Oct. 2018. The consumer set up a finance plan to make payments every 2 weeks that were automatically deducted from her checking account. Two payments came out and then the consumer noticed in January after reviewing her bank statement that the business had in 1 month deducted 3 payments. She contacted her bank and the bank asked if she had authorized the company to make the withdrawals. The consumer said she had only authorized a withdrawal every two weeks. The bank refunded the consumer for funds the company had withdrawn without permission. The bank advised the consumer to close her account, open a new account and to make her payments to the company via check, not automatic withdrawal.The consumer had been employed when she purchased the furniture early in October, but lost her job later in the month. When the consumer lost her job she called and informed the company. The company asked her to fax over information about her current financial situation, which she did and she has proof that they received the fax. Originally the consumer had been making payments every 2 weeks, but now was asking to make payments on a monthly basis , as her financial situation had changed. She wanted to mail a payment once/month of $50, which she began to do. The company has not responded to the consumer about the situation but is charging her late fees and additional financing fees, which she can't afford. They have not adjusted her bill to once/month instead of every 2 weeks. The original cost of the furniture was $300 but with financing charges the customer was being billed $500 for the total purchase. They also charged the consumer an additional $100 to Scotchguard the couch, but they never scotchguarded the couch. The consumer has tried to contact the business but they have not addressed the issues.
American Freight has requested a principal reduction for the amount ($75.09) that the customer paid for their protection plan from their American First Finance account. American Freight does not collect payments for American First Finance accounts. The customer will need to contact American First Finance directly to discuss their concerns with their payments and payment schedule.

The company dropped of a broken couch on Friday the 26th. The company was called and hi explained the driver brought a broken couch that was supposed to be brand new. I then was told it was the end of the day so they decided to leave it. I did not sign off on it saying I would accept a broken couch. I then was told Saturday they would deliver. I called and they said it would be there that day. I then called again around 2 and said cancel the order and pick put the stuff . I was told they don't take returns. Then I called the finance company they said the company would have to sign off the merchandise was returned but Waco doesn't take returns. I said cancel everything she said thwybwould swap it out. I waited all day and nothing. Called finance company again 28th they said call again 29th. Called again and after 4 days still nothing resolved.
American Freight has contacted the customer and scheduled to pick up the items. Once the items are returned to the store the order will be canceled and refunded.
we bought a couch and love seat from them on 5-19-2018 1 the cushions are defective 2 the frame is bent on the love seat ? on the couch to. 3 the frame on the back of love seat is coming apart. 4 you can fill the bars on your back on both products 5 basic lee there shot and very very uncomfortable
American Freight has assisted the customer in filing a proper warranty claim with the manufacturer. Once approved the the manufacturer, store credit will be issued for the items so the customer can get replacement product.

Last year I made a purchase with this company. My furniture was supposed to have been in December 15, 2018. I was given the run around until February 2019. When the personal informed tgat tge furniture I had chosen was out of stock. After then I chose more furniture. The sales person was so unprofessional the entire time he was answering personal calls and servicing my needs and being very rude. So after 3 months I received the furniture it the three trips, because every time they came it was the wrong items. I cried for several days. Then the furniture was defective the sofa broke the next day. I called the store several more times to file a claim no-one would help me either they put me on hold or hung up in my face. Not only that they furniture has a warranty on it but they refuse to help me so I have broken furniture in my living room. And they didn't inform me of the type of loan company I was dealing with and I had 160 days to pay this off so now I'm stuck with broken furniture and a predatory loan company that I only financed 2300.00 and they are changing me 8000.00. This company and the lending process is a scam. I feel that the company and the lending facility conspires together in order to rip good paying people off. I would like help in deal with these two companies.
American Freight has provided the customer with an upgrade on their furniture and will be delivering the items on 4/29/19 as was scheduled with the customer directly.
We bought a chair for over $400.00 plus delivery fee. When they brought the chair to our home and set it up it sat low on the left side and when it is rocked in it makes a very loud popping sound. Also it slides on it's foundation from side to side. I am disabled and I feel as if the chair is actually breaking under me. It looks good but they brought me a broken chair. We have tried to resolve this issue with them every since January of 2019. But they will not even allow us to talk to a manager. Please help us to get our money back so we can buy a sturdy chair. American Freight would be happy to re-select the customer into a different recliner of their choosing using a store credit equal to the amount in which the previously paid. American Freight would also exchange the chair at no additional cost to the customer. If the customer does not wish to re-select American Freight would be happy to issue a refund for the amount paid to American Freight for the recliner, the delivery fee was paid to a third party delivery service and is non-refundable through American Freight. The customer can call the regional manager Tim R @ to advise their decision and make any necessary arrangements.
We will accept our money refunded to us. We were contacted today 4-26-2019 in regards to coming and filling out the paperwork for a refund. We appreciate your assistance in this matter. Thank you.

I purchased the furniture on 2/20/2019. I was told it would be a few weeks till it was delivered. I stopped back in the store on 3/20/2019 to inquire about the delivery date. I was told one more week. It is now four weeks and still no furniture. Today will be 2 months and two days since ordering the furniture.
American Freight has scheduled delivery with the customer on 4/30/19 and will provide the customer with a partial refund via company check as agreed upon.
Went in to american freight on march 4 to purchase a bed and a mattress decided to finance. Guy attending me said that the bed color I wanted would have to be placed on back order and should be delivered by April 4th 2019 I signed documents with the expectation that my items would come in 4wks after april 1st I was told that because I financed the order was not place until april 1 and it would be 4 to 8wks. I called the finance company to inform them I had not received any merchandise and that I should not be charged I was told that I would have to cancel the contract and start the process all over again, so I decided to wait. On 4/20/19 still no bed I decided that I would have the mattress at least delivered spoke to the furniture company and informed them that I would like my mattress. I spoke with the manager (no one provided a name and one person refused to provide her name) she said it could be delivered today. At around 12pm delivery company arrived and stated it was $65 for delivery none of this was conveyed when I called. The delivery company only took cash and I only had a card. I called american freight back spoke with the manager again and stated that no one informed me that there was a delivery charge she informed me it was on my receipt. I informed her that I received my receipt over a month ago that that should have been something that was reiterated to the customer to insure delivery company was played and customer could receive their merchandise. This is poor customer service communication.

I have made several attempts to find out about my delivery status. My delivery was scheduled for last Sunday and I received a call Saturday confirming my delivery for Saturday NOT Sunday, however was told they didn’t have all the pieces to my furniture. I already made arrangements to be available for Sunday. I called several times throughout the week and no one could give me an answer and everyone said they would follow up and call me back but didn’t. I had to call daily sometimes more than once as when I’ve been put on hold no one came back to the line. I want to cancel everything and want my money back for the down payment. The only thing iI received was an email from the finance company for an upcoming payment! How can I be charged for something I never received OR can’t get an update or call back from anyone not even management.

Purchased recliner in Nov 2018 and it was delivered in December 2018. I paid cash for our furniture. Day the recliner was delivered, it was damaged. It had 2 small holes in it and I immediately called, reported it, and sent pictures of it to Jesus who is in charge of American Freight Furniture in ***, Tx. He unformed me they would replace it. I have been waiting months for this replacement. I have made a trip back to the store, he said when it came in, he would replace it. March I call, Jesus informed me he had gotten on in, but had to give it to a paying customer. I said excuse me, I paid cash for mine and waited over a month for the furniture to come and when it did, it was defective. I am still waiting on the replacement. I have spoken to Leslie several times requesting this be taken care of. On April 10, 2019 Leslie informs me there are in stock and I would have to pay another $100 for delivery. I told her I had already paid for delivery and it was delivered defective which was not my fault. I called The corporate office who informed me, it would be taken care of. Jesus called and said they would deliver my recliner April 11, 2019. On 4/11/2019 @ 3 PM, I called to find out how late they deliver. Jesus informed me he was delivering it personally that evening when he got off work 8PM as he couldn't pay someone to deliver it. As you can read it is now 4/12/2019 @ 12:03 AM and the recliner was never delivered. No phone call either to say he wasn't coming. I will again call corporate office. If isn't resolved immediately, I am left no choice but to file legal proceedings as I feel I am being completely ripped off.

AMERICAN FREIGHT FURNITURE sells inferior furniture that does not last and they do not back their product. WARNING do not buy their sofa and love seat sets. The cushions sag within a year and will cause back and hip problems. Customer service is horrible. Manufacturers don't stand behind their product.
