I requested a refund for the merchandise I purchased and never received, approximately 3 weeks ago. The initial concern was with Brandon, the sales associate, at the Jackson, MS location. I original purchased my furniture on February 26, 2020 and everything was fine. Brandon told me that he had to get my dinette set from their Baton Rouge, LA store and that my furniture will be in on March 3, 2020. I called on March 3rd and spoke with Brandon who advised that my dinette set had just made it and they will have it delivered either that evening or the next day(March 4, 2020). There was no delivery on that day, so I waited most of the day on the 4th until I called back. Brandon was irritated(assuming because I called back) and got snappy with me and informed me that his regional manager was bringing the dinette set and it ha not made it. Advised Brandon that he did not tell me that, in turn he got ugly, placed me on hold without warning and another employee got on the phone by the name of Larry. Larry proceeded to advise me that I was waiting on not only my dinette set, but also my bedroom set(which was ordered the same day). I was never informed that they did not have either of the sets in stock. I asked Larry for the regional manager's number and name. Larry advised me that the regional manager's name is Shun/Shawn and his telephone number is (***. I spoke with Shun, who advised me that he was headed to MS from LA with my dinette set and that the delay was his fault. Shun advised that he will personally bring the dinette set to my home once he made it to MS. Shun was a man of his word and brought my dinette set, Shun advised that he was UNAWARE that I was also waiting on a bedroom set as well. Shun stated that he will handle the issue and the he will send me a refund of $100 off of the bedroom set to cover the troubles and unprofessionalism that I endured. Shun advised that it would take approximately 10 days because the refund would be coming from the corporate office. Shun dropped my dinette set off on March 5, 2020. I received THAT refund within a timely manner. I reached back out to Shun to get an estimated delivery date for my bedroom set because as of March 18, 2020 I had no update. I texted Shun whom stated that the bedroom suite should be there in the next day, which was, March 19, 2020. Called the local(Jackson, MS) store the next day and spoke with Brandon. His attitude and demeanor, once he realized who he was speaking with, was very unprofessional, rude, and unbecoming. I then proceeded to ask Brandon for a refund for my bedroom suite. Brandon placed me on hold for approximately 10 minutes, came back to the phone and advised me that it will be UP TO 15 days. That's brings me to today; almost a month later. I have reached out to the Regional Manager Shun, to no avail. I also reached out to the corporate office and left several messages for someone to call me back concerning my refund and I have heard from no one. This entire incident took place BEFORE mandatory, stay at home orders were issued for safety concerns with COVID-19. I am in need of assistance with obtaining my refund from this facility. The total of the bedroom suite was $538.92; I was previously refunded $100 for the inconvenience of the initial delivery. My total refund should be $438.92.
My main complaint is definitely my refund, but the sales associate Brandon, at the Jackson, MS location is very unprofessional and disrespectful. The regional manager was cooperative until he became a ghost. Please advise of any and all avenues I need to take in order to get my money refunded back.

American Freight refunded the customer $517.65 in the form of company check on 4/9/2020. The company check refund may take up to 7-10 business days to process and will be sent directly to the customers home address.

I BOUGHT A TABLE SET FROM AMERICAN IN DECEMBER OF 2019 AT THE TIME OF PURCHASED I WAS TOLD THAT THEY ONLY HAVE FIVE NEW CHAIRS AS I NEEDED 6 CHAIRS, THEY TOLD ME THEY WOULD GIVE ME A LOANER CHAIR OFF THE FLOOR AND SWAP IT OUT WHEN THEY GET THEIR NEW SHIPMENT, HOWEVER WE END UP WITH 4 LOANER CHAIRS BECAUSE THERE WERE MISSING PARTS FROM 2 OF THE CHAIRS THAT WERE BOXED! Because MY FAMILY WAS VISITING FOR THE HOLIDAY I AGREED TO THE LOANER CHAIRS THATS WAS TO REPLACED IN JANUARY WELL ITS NOW APRIL 1ST 2020 AND I'VE YET TO GET MY NEW CHAIRS THAT I PAID FOR! THE LOANER CHAIRS ARE CHAIRS THAT WAS TAKEN OFF THE FLOOR WITH SCRATCHES ON 3 OF THE CHAIRS. AMERICAN FREIGHT HAVE NOT EVEN GIVEN US A CURTACY CALL OR ANYTHING! Bought a $500 mattress and box spring for my 12 yr old son.. the first day we got it the box springs broke.. so I sat on it broke some more, they refuse to call you back.. this is ridiculous now my son with back issues has a crappy bed.. and I wasted my hard earned money at this place who rips people off. Yall should be ashamed to do people this way. Not to mention it's been 3 weeks and the mattress is now completely sinking..

DO NOT SHOP HERE. Probably the worst shopping experience of my life. I was pressured into buying the overpriced warranty and the furniture.
I asked for the furniture to be put in lay a way and that was ignored, they still tried to deliver the furniture. After scheduling my delivery three weeks in advance they call to tell me my items have been damaged the day of delivery and delivery was made two days late anyways with the wrong items.
The store did not answer or return any of my calls.
Go to a real furniture store, your money is wasted here they don’t care about customers one bit!

I purchased a bedroom set from here for my daughter. I went to pick it up on Sunday and they only had two pieces out of five. They told me that the other store in *** had the other pieces. I explained to them that I will drive up there to get the other pieces. I drove up to the *** store and I when I arrived they stated that they do not have the piece that I need. I reached back out to the store in ***. and the manager starting stating that he do not know what I was going to do. At this point I told him that I wanted a refund and he stated well you can do that as well, not one time did he stated that he was sorry or anything. I proceed to leave and come back to *** to return the merchandise that I had received. When I reached about half way home, I received a call from the *** store stating that he sent one of his guys to *** to pick up the other pieces. After all of this I attempted to contact corporate office and spoke with someone by the name of Jay. I explain to him what happen this man told me flat out that he is not about to bust these guy knuckles over this situation and that it is harder enough to get them to come to work with all the things that is going on. He also stated that everyone does not have a luxury of working from home.

I went to the American Freight store in Morrow, Ga. The delivery guys dropped my sofa and delivered it broken. Now the refuse to fix it. I’ve been given false promises of a delivery more than twice and visited the store to no avail. I would hate to think American Freight steals from people who are already financially challenged.

The mattress that we have is not the one we originally picked out. The one we chose was sold when we were done paying it off. So they have us the next one to the one we chose. This mattress has a big sick hole in it. It’s causing back and hip issues with my husband and myself.
American Freight has assisted the customer in filing a manufacturers warranty claim. If the customers claim with the manufacturer gets approved, they will receive credit to get a replacement.

I went to the store located on Cleveland Westside, in Brookpark Ohio. I was charged $600 for a metal bunk bed and 3 mattresses!! I also had to pay 90$ for delivery, the guys arrived at my home around 10pm!! That was very unprofessional, the 90$ didnt come with assembly!! So as a single parent I had to put the bunk bed up myself!! The next day I went to *** and saw the same bunk bed& mattresses way cheaper then what I was charged at American Freight!! They also have a no refund policy!! I would never step foot back into that store!! The bunk bed mattresses are thinner then the mats prisoners sleep on!! I was ripped off
I went to the Store at South 27th here in Milwaukee, WI, I had got the ad in the mail a week or so prior and another one the day I went, same exact ads. My dad was moving into a new place, had a surgery coming up, and his mother, my grandmother is on her death bed and he had to leave just after moving in to go see her, so I wanted to get something for him, so when he came back and have his surgery that he'll be fine. What brought me into the store was the 8 piece "QUEEN" bedroom set for $398.
We go there about 40 minutes to closing and the sales guy shows us the furniture, he tells me it's all pre-selected and the price depends on the size of the bed. I forgot to bring the ad, but I tell him I'm pretty sure that's not right that the set is suppose to come with a Queen/Full, he says no the price is based on a twin.
I'm also inquiring around this time how much would it cost to upgrade the mattress, so I say okay, again this doesn't sound right but what's the price for the set with an upgraded mattress.... we go back up to the register, he tells afew prices that ranged between $600-800( I think he was adding the prices of the bed onto the advertised price of the set, which should've included the bed) I say okay how much is the 8 piece set with the mattress that comes with it, he says like $530/560. I ask why is it so high, he says... taxes. Now sales tax in Wisconsin is less than 6%. So he's just flat out lying for whatever reason or didn't know what he was talking about, I only came with $450 on my credit card, so that wouldn't work. He leaves, and I sit down to pull the ad up on my phone, it didn't come up. I'm talking it over with my dad and he says just get the bed so I can have something to sleep on when I get back. So I tell the guy I'll just get the mattress set. I'm uneasy working with the dude, because at this point I know he's lying. I ask for the Elegance set, I was told they were out of stock, so I ask for the next one up referring back to the AD. I was sold the Ortho Chiro for $315.
If you're following along, I came there for an 8 piece set for $398, and left with a Mattress and box spring for $315. So my deal diminished. All because he lied or didn't know what he was doing. To add insult to injury I get home and look at the ad, not only does it have the 8 piece set featuring a Queen size bed, the bed I purchased was listed $20 cheaper for each piece, $129 a piece, with taxes or $272.45 total; a difference of $42.
I call the next morning, and tell them this expecting them to refund me, the manager or whomever answered said "Let me check with Corporate to see if there was a misprint... I was hung up on. I then called the store located on Brown Deer road, whom I've purchased stuff from in the past and they tell me they're suppose to honor the ad and that the 8 piece set was suppose to come with EITHER a queen OR a full.
So with this knowledge, I went there today hoping to pay the difference and get the 8 piece set, or be refunded the difference of the ad price and the purchase price. Neither of these things happened, the manager pointed to the posted notifications in the store saying there was a problem with the ad. I told him that wasn't there when I purchased it and yall hadn't discovered it when I called and yall hung up on me or at the time of purshase. He says, well it was in our email and the prices are hung up around the store and he went back to another customer. I say that doesn't have anything to do with why I came into the store, the ad brought me to the store and I wasn't looking at prices I just asked for the next one up..referring back to the ad.
The manager is ***, the worker is a liar. I had issues with the Brown Deer store in the past, but they solved them. I'm not here just to complain or get free stuff, but I passed many other stores with similar sales, all much closer to where my dad lives to go here just to leave unsatisfied, to go back to the store to leave again unsatisfied. Not good business.

this store really is horrible. I called multiply times to cancel my contact for a bedroom suit, mattress and box springs. 2 months ago, calling the company the lease was through and said that they can not cancel and refund until american freight calls them, which has yet to happen. and now there is a withdrawal from my debit card after wanting this cancel. and I never picked up my furniture, or made delivery arrangement's to the interest rate, the approval was for 3000.00 and pay back on it was over 5000.00. and I only was getting 1634.00 worth of stuff. so now it is time to get my attorney involved.over 88.69 that was taking out of my banking acct. PLEASE DO NOT GIVE THEM ACCT NUMBERS FOR ANYTHING and you have to rate them ... I dont even want to give them one star. .

I recently purchased a sectional couch from this business. They do have a "all sales final" sign posted somewhere although I never seen it. Unfortunately I did not read reviews before purchasing said item. I have already been exchanged 2 sets because the fabric keeps fading and the ottoman that they brought me is now a teeter totter...the second set they brought me was also torn on the bottom and the other part had been replaced with an aftermarket felt and there were staples hanging all out of the bottom. After reading several reviews there are many people unhappy with the quality and durability as well as the warranty department not answering their phone calls. All I want is my money back it has not even been a full week yet so I can get some quality furniture for the $1500 I spent.
American Freight has spoken with the customer on 3/5/2020 and has made arrangements for a delivery team to pick up the merchandise from the customer. Once the merchandise has been returned to the store, the store will refund the customer.

We also have had the same problem as with most of the people filing complaints. We bought furniture for our first home and we were told that our total was around $2500 and put $50 down. The salesman told us we could pay it off early if we wanted but we didn’t have to. He never told us that if we didn’t we would be paying more than double the amount of what the furniture is worth. I called *** and the customer service rep acted like she didn’t care that we were basically lied to. I know we should have read the contract through carefully but I never imagined that the salesmen wouldn’t tell us something as important as this. They should have warned us that if we didn’t pay it off in 3 months that we would be stuck with poor quality furniture and over $5000 in debt.

Prices were great because the furniture does NOT come assembled! People employed at the facility are poor quality staff,they are so busy on their phones and joking around at the front desk, rather than focusing on making sure that orders received are actually delivered. No follow up whatsoever. Also placing warranties NOT asked for on the financing bill. The subcontracting company they use to deliver furniture, is even worse, and they never delivered after 4 scheduled times. The regional manager handling the matters is just as incompetent and ignorant in how to handle a chain of furniture stores and should be demoted or replaced. I will NEVER step foot in this ridiculous operation again and will strive to make sure no one else wastes their time.

My granddaughter purchased $1500.00 of furniture and mattress with box springs on 3/2/2020. We go to pick it up and it took right at 3 hrs for them to load box springs, mattress, sofa and love seat a queen bedroom suite and a dresser and chest, I believe. Most of the things were in boxes but the sofa and loveseat. They loaded the boxes on our trailer and the box springs. Each of the guy were dragging around like they had lead in their rear. The one guy that was wrapping the sofa and loveseat was listening to us complaining because they were so slow and just taking their time. It wasn’t like the store was busy. The living room set was a light tan and the one sitting behind it was dark brown. I ask the asst manager if it could be swapped for that because she has 3 small children and he said yes. He told the manager and he said no because she paid $499 because it was on the floor as was the other one too. When we started outside to leave finally, it was drizzling rain and the loveseat bottom wasn’t cover with plastic so we asked for that to be covered. Then I noticed the plastic was torn off one arm on the couch and it was already getting wet. I go back in and ask for that to be covered. The guy that wrapped it went to the back of the store and never came back. I go back in and tell Terry, the asst mgr, that I had asked for the arm to be covered and no one had bothered to cover it for us. He told me that they didn’t take orders from customers with excessive demands that they take them from those two. He claimed he sent him to the back to get plastic when he heard me but that’s a lie because I’m sure he didn’t hear me at first because I had to tell him what was going on. I also told him it would be a better if those guys didn’t have piss pot attitudes. When I started walking off I said don’t be talking about me when I leave and he said he didn’t get paid to do that. There was a woman standing there making a payment and I looked at her and said that’s the way they do isn’t that right. She wouldn’t Name say anything. We stayed there for 3 hours when we should have been loaded and gone in no more than 45 min. I wouldn’t buy anything in this store at all. Customer services is the absolute worst that I’ve ever seen

My husband and I ordered our bed set and sectional last week. We were told our delivery would come on today, I called at 11 am and a guy told me our order was on the truck coming, called back at 5 pm and was told the driver just returned to get more orders and it should be on the way. I called back spoke with the manager who assured me my order would be delivered 1st. The owner of the moving company was rude and hung up on my husband, the drivers provided conflicting information, and it was 8:00pm and no delivery came. I called the owner of the moving company back and cancelled and I will go out to the warehouse in the morning for my refund. I will never recommend this place to noone else. I was inconvenienced waiting all day, threw out most of my furniture, and my family is frustrated.

Worst experience ever! Ordered a Bedroom Set Nov 2019 and by the second week of Feb 2020 we still had not received the entire set. Horrible communication from the Store Manager, have been a past customer but I will Never be a customer again!

Worst company ever!!! Fo not buy from them. Im disabled
& suffer from chronic neck & back pain. The lady @ 7121 south us hwy 1
in port st lucie, fl 34952 talked me into getting the dr marvins orthopedic rx
plus queen size mattress set when I wanted a pillowtop. She said she wouldn't
feel comfortable selling me anything other than the about mentioned mattress.
No one in the store told me that once you buy that's it. They don't do 30 days
guarantee like every other mattress store does. You have to figure out who the
manufacturer is & go thru them to try & get your warranty honored. It's
been almost a year of trying to get something done since I don't have the money
to get a new one. Never ever buy from this scam artist/rip off company!!!! They
shouldn't be in business period!!! Extremely unprofessional as well.

I have requested a refund back from this company and I have not received my money every time I call they always say they will call me back and never do I never received any furniture from them and they owe me three hundred and forty dollars please contact me .
American Freight has processed the refund for this customers order.
I went in to purchase a couple of items one being a brand new dining room set and paid off the entire balance at the same time. I was told the items would have to be shipped to the store and would take 2weeks or so. Roughly 2 weeks later I received a call saying the items were ready for pick up. I went to the store to pick it up and this fine establishment tried to give me a used floor model of the bench that would finish the set. I refused the item and told them I want the brand new version that I paid for. I’ve called multiple times they never have a estimated time of delivery and some how theirs never a manager or supervisor to speak with. It’s been almost a month and a half and still no word on my bench, not even a phone call to update me on the issue.
The American Freight location has the item available for the customer and will be in contact with the customer to make arrangements.

Went in to buy a furniture set for multiple rooms. Told the sales person depending on if I agree with the terms of the financing I may be buying one room at a time in cash or all at once. Selected the furniture in which the staff was very helpful in showing me all the high end items and complaining about how the mid range and low end are all the same. Setup the approval after I made my own choices, the sales person, then went over the contract with me. I asked, directly, twice what the interest rate is past 101 days. He deflected the question both times and continued to move through the contract. I asked if I was going to receive a direct copy of the contract, he stated yes and assured me he had gone over everything. I told him I was going to go over the thing in its entirety but if he has indeed gone over everything I will put a down payment on the furniture and move forward, if I found something I asked he didnt answer I was going to cancel the order. He assured me he had so I put in the downpayment. When I recieved the email later that night and reviewed it, the 144% interest rate after 101 days with $50 payoff fee, that he stated there would not be, was substantially higher than the number he said when I asked him the 2nd time. First thing this morning, I called the financial company and spoke with them. Then I went into the store and stated I wanted to cancel the while thing. The manager and associate both became very upset and aggressive, I told them my reason was because I was not told the actual interest rate when I asked and I wanted to cancel the while thing. They repeatedly asked if I could pay the while thing off in 3 months. I stated it does not matter, I have not recieved any of the items and it has been less than 24 hrs I wanted to cancel the whole thing. Thom balled up the paperwork he had in his folder I assume was the furniture I planned to get and threw it across the counter and said it was canceled get out. I asked the manager to refund the downpayment, he very angrily told me they dont deal with that, the financial company does. I told him I had spoken to them and they said everything was to be handled in the store. He again said they handle it not the store and told me to leave. I called the financial company and explained what happened in the store and they again told me the store handles it, was very apologetic and I could tell was stunned by what I told him. I have contacted my lawyer and my bank in case the store does not stop the charge to my account and attempts to fight my dispute. Seeing as I was very disrespectfully asked to leave the store and have been directly lied to by their staff I feel this is the best course of action to get in touch with someone who will see this issue resolved so I can take my business elsewhere. Answering questions and doing what the law requires in disclosing all information up front and on request would have guaranteed sales.
